Ok
It was quiet and nice. Lots of restaurant nearby
Friendly staff! Elevators were down - very inconvenient with luggage to use stairs. Elevators were down all weekend.
Great
worst hotel stay ever staff have the worst attitude rather helping rather be on personal cell phone . room was so dirty and had roaches
Smoke detector beeping all night long
Very nice stay
The only issue was the elevator was not working and staff asked if we wanted to stay since elevator was out of order. Other than that it was a comfortable stay
Elevator doesn’t work ever!
Not the Marriott you are expecting
Hotel is not in great condition. Elevator is broken. Could smell people smoking marijuana everywhere. Kind of sketchy.
We spent the weekend here and it was a comfortable stay! It was conveniently next door to Krogers, which was walking distance. So many stores and restaurants close by. The staff was nice and pleasant upon arrival. The room was clean, and the sheets were clean! My only complaints about the stay: The fee to park everyday. Maybe this is a new thing but its ridiculous to pay to park, and its wasnt full or sold out so it was just an unnecessary expense in my opinion. The water pressure was so weak, im big on my shower time.. so that bothered me. No access to a microwave in the room. Although they had one in the lobby, it waa just an inconvenience. Overall it was a comfortable stay!
Check in smooth.. Check out went great
The facility was convenient, clean, and well-located. The room was comfortable and spacious, if a little worn.
nice hotel
The toilet in my room wouldn’t flush with the handle (had to lift the tank lid) The nightstand between the beds was all chewed up @ the corners (like an animal had been knawing at it) The ice machine did not work.
Clean
My room was dirty, and there was water leaking from the ceiling and vent in the bathroom. There was a used bloody pimple patch stuck to the wall. My door was left unlocked and opened my housekeeping. My tv didn’t work. The ice maker and one of the elevators was broke. I tried to speak with the manager and she was unavailable during my stay. I was told I could receive a refund after calling Expedia, but then the hotel refused to authorize the refund. I paid $458 and didn’t even stay the entire time and still couldn’t receive a refund. Do not stay here.
Was good till neighbor started to smoke pot and woke me up at 12 AM with that awful smell coming through vents WILL NEVER WALK INTO THIS HOTEL AGAIN … baby crying as well if parents were stoned they can take care of baby
Very outdated. Bed is comfortable but nothing crazy.. wouldn’t recommend
The staff was knowledgeable and respectful
Phone in room didn’t work the iron didn’t work the ironing board was broke the shower was falling apart
Nice and quiet location.
My go to spot now for booking a room was very surprised definitely recommend
Everything
Happy
It was alright
It’s an older property, but it was very good repair and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The food was terrific. I felt very safe.
The check in lady was very rude
The room was freezing when I got in. It took two hours to warm it up.
It was cleanish, needs repairs. Staff was friendly.
This ok place to stay. Building is old with some renovation.
Everything went well
The room was clean and neat. The service at the desk was great. The door to the room was hard to push open, and it would not close and lock on its own.
When making reservation , need to mention that there is a addition charge for parking per night at the hotel.
Beds were comfy, room was clean. Comfortable stay. Location was good. Property looked little dated.
Not as Marriott should be
Property was clean and well taken care of staff was great and professional
Front desk very professional
Very clean and well kept
Front desk clerk had an attitude. Elevator was broken and we had to carry our suitcases and bags up 3 flights of stairs. Front desk told us next time call first and not to go the cheap way through Hotels.com
Great stay
Great parking
I overslept and the called security and didn't let me pay another night
First, the advertisement was misleading and false The description of the property said it has a pool and Jacuzzi, but what they don’t tell you is that it doesn’t work and they’re getting rid of it. Secondly, the wallpaper had so much chemicals on it, you could only tell the original design in one corner of the wallpaper The sliding door was barred shut The bed was OK, but the TV was on the fritz and started with a good screen and then quickly went to a digitized scatter screen The concierge told me that they would give me a discount because of the hot tub not working, which was one reason I chose that hotel But I came to find out he did not. Upon leaving, I mentioned that to The girl at the desk and she gave me a four dollar a day discount How exciting
Fire current manager
Manager needs to be fired for being so rude and hanging up on me when I inquired about a fraudulent charge the hotel charge me. Tried speaking with her twice and I was very polite when I was asking for information since I’ve never stayed there.
Elevator is not working. Room is clean as well as the bathroom.
Would’ve gave this property all high scores, but after checking in, I learned that you have to pay for parking not for valet, but for actually parking on their property, you have to pay six dollars per day. I think it’s ridiculous but other than that, there was no issue with the property whatsoever
Friendly staff
Walkable
Great staff but Poor Experience
My review is not a general review just my personal experience. The 1st room they gave me the toilet wasn’t working, they sent someone to fix it who then told me the part for it will arrive tomorrow and in case it was not to flush I should press down a certain button in the toilet in which I felt uncomfortable doing. I asked the hotel to replace my room but they only had 1 room and where it was the elevator was not working. I asked if I can at least receive some sort of discount or refund, they denied my request and said If they give me a refund I would have to check out immediately. The next day my air conditioner stopped working for about a half hour. The worst part was the door in the parking lot closest to my room wasn’t working so every time I came in I would have to use a different entrance in the parking lot to walk through the lobby to the. Walk down another hall just to reach my room. Not everything that glitters is gold.
Old School AC Made for Hard to Sleep Night.
Lots of renovation going on even next door to our room. Banging and lots of noise. Hard to relax. Then we had old AC window unit that was so loud and just musty old. Made it hard to sleep it was that noisy. Felt moldy. Had no bottled water anywhere on the premises to have or even buy. None at front desk, little market area or even bar/restaurant.
excellent
The Shower was not working and toilet took multiple flushes. Told front desk and all he could do was open a maintenance ticket, let the GM know and give me her card. I emailed her to let her know how upset we were and have had no response. Also, they charge a $70.00 fee if you check in before the checkin time which is absurd.
I booked my reservation for two days. When I first arrived at the location, it didn’t look too safe. It was in the back area next to a not very nice apartment. They have a gate to the parking lot but the apartment next door has open access to it. We had to pay a daily fee for the parking. The Front Desk male agent wasn’t friendly at all. The hotel is old and outdated, and the room wasn’t nice either. The beds were uncomfortable because it has old and sunken in mattresses. I can feel the metal springs against my back. The water in the hand sink was clogged so it drained very slowly. I wanted to cancel my reservations as soon as I checked in to the room but couldn’t because they would’ve charged me at least one night stay anyway. We ended staying for one night. I immediately booked another reservation at the Home2 Suites by Hilton for the second day. It was way better and only a $20 difference without the parking fee.
A Home Away From Home
Very nice people and professional
Not in the worst part of Houston …. But certainly not the best. Outside of property is unkept. The room they initially gave me was being cleaned when I arrived 2 hours after check in. The crew did let me know everything would be dry within a few hours. I opted to change rooms completely. It was ok. I mentioned to the desk clerk that a person’s age should be considered when selecting where to place the guest (the first room was the very last on the first floor; the one I ended up with was about mid-way on the third floor). Oh and by the way - that is the shortest toilet I’ve ever seen - only shorter is using the public restroom in France that’s just a hole in the floor. Come on Marriott. I know you’ve got a few bucks for updates!
I enjoyed my stay there, Brandon was so helpful
Front desk person Ashley was horribly rude and extremely annoying. We hated her!
5 stars
Easy access to Kroger and restaurants
The elevator is out of order, but I was lucky to have a room at first floor.
The guy that checked us in was great, but the room not so much elevator didnt work, hot in the hallway, ice had a nasty taste to it, took forever for the room too cool off and left some equipment behind in the room. Had to pay for parking no breakfast unless you pay for ut
Elevator was out of order had to carry luggage three flights of stairs. Hallways were hot and stuffy. AC in room not working properly. Dirty carpet, dirty and raggedy furniture in room. Not the Courtyard I expected. Very disappointed.
Elevator was broken for 2 weeks. No handicap king beds availability so took a double bed. Double beds were hard as a rock hurt both adults backs. Ask for refund for 2nd night. Person that said she was the Manager was REALLY rude, & lied to say would refund me but full charges still on credit card!! This place doesn’t meet up to code or Marriott standards.
No bottled water available in room or for sale. Elevator out of order, had to climb stairs to 3rd floor. Carpet in hall smelled of urine.
The sheets were dusty. The carpeting was dusty. The toilet handle was broken. The A/C broke in the first room so we had to change rooms. Very very disappointed in the room. It was also difficult to locate the property at night. One of the elevators was broken. Fortunately ours worked. This is not to the standard of a courtyard by Marriot compared to other properties. So so disappointed
Arrived at hotel to check in at 3:30 pm . I was met at the door and was told the hotel was on complete SHUTDOWN and was not going to be able to check in to come back in an hour or two and try to check in then . I went back to my car and called the hotel directly and asked what was going on, all the clerk told me was they were on shutdown and could not give me any information. I asked if it was going to be safe to check in later, she answered very rude and told me I had an option to return about 7 or 8 pm. To see if everything was clear or move my reservation to another hotel. I asked if she was going to find another hotel and help me move my reservation she said no and hung up on me. I returned at about 5:30 pm and was allowed inside with other arriving guest outside waiting outside to be let in. At check in I asked if everything was ok. All The front desk agent said that they had an emergency and could not talk about it. I got my room card key and went to my room.
The night staff was not helpful. He acted like he did not want to be at work on Friday. I also believe they have bed bugs. My children and I have bites on our bodies that we did not have before checking in. If I need to send pictures showing these bite marks on my body, I will. There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway and my room. The elevators were not working properly. They ran out of towels. It was a very nonchalant environment, like a "you should be grateful for a place to stay" type. I'm very unsatisfied.
The rooms full of mold/mildew smell, the elevator was broken for the 3 nights I stayed there. Staff was courteous for the most part (Thanks Ms Pei). I don’t recommend this Courtyard location (I am a Marriott gold elite member, so I have been to a lot of Marriotts before), this was is terrible when it comes to cleanness.
We stayed at the hotel for five days and very good service family of three.
The elevator was not working, but I did appreciate how helpful the staff were. They also credited my parking for the two night stay.
Room is not bad. Window glass is dirty. The restroom is horrible, toilet need to be replace seriously. Would never come back here!!
Everyone made you at home from moment you walk in
Good
First time stay
The staff were really good. They were able to meet my accommodation for a first floor room and I really appreciate that. I wish there was a continental breakfast, you have to pay for breakfast. Ms Nilda and Ms Pie were really good to me and I appreciate them and the staff I interacted with. The only issue I had was with the hotel room door that kept getting stuck every time I went to leave the room, even after maintenance quickly came and fixed the door when the lock became stuck.
Ok
V
I’ve stayed here several times in the past and have always had a good experience with no issues
Nice place
So dirty, the sheets had pee stains, the toilet was stained & had dried pee stains on the sides and not cleaned. i told the front desk and they didn't even solve it until midnight even though i checked in at 3pm. i had to tell them a second time until they finally send someone. they gave me new sheets but didn't even take the old ones off & put the new ones on. My husband had to put the sheets on and the person who came to the room just wiped the toilet with a rag, they didn't actually clean all the pee on the outside of the toilet that was dripping on the outside. they couldn’t compensate me or do anything to help, a new room wasn't offered either. it was very disappointing.
I typically don’t complain. Elevator not in service, hot tub full of leaves, business center was not working. Staff was very nice. Got to my room and toilet didn’t flush. The door to my room looked like it had been kicked in at some point. No water pressure on the 3rd floor. I went to 3 ice machines and none of them worked so I just bought ice. Not going to stay here again.
Hotel was nice, I don’t think I’ve ever stay in a hotel where the AC was so cold lol, but it felt nice especially after being in the Houston humidity. The room was nice, comfy bed, basic amenities, quiet, peaceful hotel! Only downside is that the hotel is little far from a lot things, touristy things, besides that, highly recommend!
The tub needs to be upgraded So many peeling paint spots Toilet not working, got to change the room Elevator not working for days
It was nice
Everything was great
All good
I have nothing to say
Not clean room and dangerous neighbors
Not recommended at all cost! The elevator is broken and the hotel is not clean. The area that hotel located at is extremely dangerous with homeless people walking around it all day.
Great room and friendly staff!
Great Hotel
Stayed at this Marriott many time on visits to Houston, good location, comfortable room and great price
The toilet seat was peeling. The wallpaper was peeling. The room was musty. There were small Ants. The elevator was broken. The housekeeper were great and did what they could.
Property did not alert me that it was closed until I arrived for check in.
Starbucks
My stay was comfortable I enjoyed it plus there’s a Starbucks inside I didn’t have to leave the property. I will stay again.
We stayed overnight on Friday, and the fire alarm went off at 6 am for two minutes. We had to call the front desk to ensure everything was alright, and the elevators were out of order.
Excellent
A comfortable stay
Staff was helpful and courteous. There were a couple of deficiencies in the room, which I reported, but they didn’t affect our comfort.
Wonderful place to stay
No pool no hot tub No breakfast, excuse is the hurricane!!!!
The staff we encountered were friendly enough. Contrary to reviews of the hotel not being nice in many ways, we found the hotel and room clean, big room with comfy bed. We used the mini fridge and coffee maker. We wish there would have been one in the room, at least there was one in lobby area. Upon our 9 pm arrival, check in was quick, we had a free cookie and cofffee. We would come again in the future.

Nice hotel in a great area.
I would definitely stay here again, the staff was friendly and the room was clean. The elevator was down but I was on the first floor so no impact on me. The only thing was there were a few ants here and there.
