Everything was great just the restroom toilet was dirty from the inside

When checking in was told that I should leave my glove box and center console open, due to there being multiple break ins on the property and surrounding area. Unable to get a refund and being that I was on a promo I would be charged 1 nights stay at double the price ( I was told the night was 220 and when I checked the website it was 125 a night) ended up staying and waking up every 2/3 hrs to check my truck. Mold in AC units and bathroom ceiling, garbage under the couch and dirt and hair on boxspring by our heads.

We went through a third party and chose pay at hotel option. However the morning of check-in, our card was charged for the stay. And when we addressed it at check in they explained that 24hrs before check in it charges. You are looking at an $100 hold on top of total price for your stay. Just letting you know if you go through a third party. Other than that, the hotel is quiet and clean.

Good but be prepared to leave a deposit.

Great hotel! just break ins on cars frequently

Mine and another vehicle were broken into. When I advised the staff he didn’t care. He told me he couldn’t do anything about it. There were no cameras outside and he said staff only walks around the hotel twice at night.

Room was dirty. Beds felt musty,smelled horrible and had bed bugs. Room smelled like mold as well. Front desk clerk was advised and nothing was done . I was given a can of antibacterial spray. I let manager know in the am and he said I had to contact third party. I asked if what he would have done if I would booked direct he responded by saying he would have given me a five dollar discount. Please nobody stay her don’t wast your money!!!!!!!

It was a very great hide away place.I felt at home..

The stay itself wasn't bad, it's a cheaper rate, so you know more or less what to expect. However i was supposed to pay when i arrived, but the funds came out before i got there, then had to pay again for a "deposit" which I've never had to do before. Still waiting for one of the charges to drop. Not sure if it should be the one from hotels.com or the hotel itself.

Quiet and peaceful, clean!

The motel is right off 281, near plenty of shopping and the airport. The room, however, needed some repairs. The deadbolt did not lock properly and the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. The soap shelf in the shower was also missing. There was a moisture absorber full of water above the closet, which should have been replaced weeks ago and when I looked above the closet I found an unopened package of condoms! The free breakfast was adequate at best. The staff was friendly and helpful, but could not ever find some salt and pepper when I went down to ask for some.

Neat, clean, and quite comfy room, free parking. inclusive breakfast though with limited options.

There was nothing special about hotel. Felt a little uncomfortable in the room. Didn’t feel clean.

My cousin and I stayed here for three nights over the New Year’s holiday after booking through Expedia, and it was terrible from start to finish. The room was dirty upon arrival, with soap scum in the bathroom, mold on the curtains, and a disgusting microwave. Housekeeping never cleaned the room or replaced towels and toiletries during our stay. I also saw a baby roach in the bathroom. Additionally, there was a car air freshener placed in the air conditioner, which felt unprofessional and gave the room a strange smell. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, with flat pillows and stained, ripped sheets. I already have back and neck problems, and this stay made them worse. The front desk staff was rarely available, and the interactions we had were unfriendly. There was no manager on-site to address issues. The one time housekeeping came was 15 minutes before checkout. Noise was another major problem, with loud banging and running above us, including early morning disruptions. On top of this, the Wi-Fi and phone service barely worked, making it impossible to stay connected. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I urge others to avoid staying here. While Expedia offered me a $50 credit, the hotel needs to take accountability and issue a full refund.

Love San Antonio

We have stayed here before. Beds are comfortable. We did have over room neighbors last nite who thumped around. Otherwise great stay. Plans to return in 2 weeks to attend a funeral.

The room smelled dirty and damp, but we were so tired that despite that, we fell asleep. However, moments later, we started feeling itchy, and when we checked the bed, we found it was full of ticks. It was terrible. We didn’t want to report it to the front desk; we just left. Awful.

Hotel was great. Employee named Ed was rather interesting, not overly friendly nor helpful. Rest was wonderful.

The first room I was in was not properly cleaned and had hair everywhere and had a odor to it and the second room was not up to par either

Family weekend getaway

Family getaway weekend. We stayed 2 nights. 1st night we let the baby crawl on the carpet less then 10 mins his knees were black.Then the people right above us made noise from1-3:40 in the AM. Our baby woke up 2:30am. Called front desk 2x. But people still made noise. The need to clean the carpet and the room had a smell to it. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff was polite, however the room had a strong scent of mold and very humid despite the AC being on. Breakfast was very basic not much for variety.

First off, I want to say that the staff are very nice. When I got to my room I could smell a musty odor. It was mold for sure but I didn't see any but did not some silica on top of the closet. I noticed one of the employees taking a dehumidifier into the room next to me and then later that day heard some loud machinery in that room that was very loud. The sheets I got had small stains on them and when checking the bed for bed bugs (You should always do this at a hotel) there was a bunch of hair and dirt behind the bed. There was a little foot rest by the door and looking in the cracks of the cushions was so disgusting. The room setup was weird where they had the desk in front of the bed and the tv off to the side. The bathroom door bumps into the toilet and is always in the way. There was a couch in the room that had these weird stains on it that looked like mold and when I lifted the cushions, it was jammed with dryer sheets to mask the smell. The last thing I will say is that the breakfast was pretty bad, the coffee was so gross and watered down (instant coffee) the sausage was white and the bread was so stale. I think this property needs to do a lot better. I stayed the whole time but was tempted to check out and stay with a friend even if it meant losing my money.

Stayed 2 nights, both nights my family and i enjoyed! It was quiet and relaxing!

Dead cockroaches in the room

I’d like it be known that I have been staying at this hotel for approximately 5 years as I come to vacation yearly and stay a week here. This time my experience was horrible. I stayed three nights and two of the three nights my truck was broken into. I had to replace my window twice on separate mornings. The first time I was advised that the place I parked was a shared parking lot with next neighboring business and no cameras were on watch. I was then advised to park in front of a camera, which I did.. i was spared one night. The very next night I got my window smashed again. This time they got it on camera but was told the police don’t come out unless the damage is more than one thousand dollars so I just left mad and frustrated. The hotel itself is good but your vehicle outside is in danger so use this information as you may.

Our stay was very comfortable. Love the location.

Dirty and smelly

Very dirty, our room had a very bad smell as well. We had stayed there 2 years ago and it was great, this time not so much. The floor was so dirty that walking barefoot was a no no as it would leave your feet black. I saw a few bugs on the dresser too so we had to watch what we left laying there.

The hotel needs to have better house keeping and maintenance. The carpet in the hallway and rooms had stains. The AC unit made loud noise when turning on. Breakfast was horrible. Limited items for breakfast cereal, 1 waffle machine and the eggs were cold. I've stayed in Comfort Suites before and this was the worst stay so far.

Nothing

Easy access from freeway. Easy check-in. The carpets in both rooms I rented had stains. There was an unpleasant, weed like smell, in the hallway. Minimal breakfast. No-one was there to clean up the floor in the dining area during breakfast after someone spilled eggs everywhere. Sticky floors by elevator.

A/C was not working and clerk didnt know what to do. Will never stay there again.

Room service is only every other day . The AC was not cooling . The shower head attachment was missing .

This was the second Comfort Suites that i stayed at in my first 2 weeks here in, San Antonio. I myself am an 19 year Navy Veteran as well as being in the housekeeping and hospitality field for the same amount of time. I must say that this last Comfort Suites by far exceeded my expectation From the front desk customer service to the housekeeping outstanding attention to detail. The kindness and professionalism they showed me was overwhelming.I recommend that the Comfort Suites on, Vantage Way Road take a lesson from this, Comfort Suites on, San Pedro Avenue !! I also recommend to an future people looking for a relaxing and clean and safe environment to spend the night or more to come to this one!Job well done.

nice hotel

The rooms are clean and big! Breakfast could be better. Food was cold when we went down to eat at 8 am.

My toilet didn't work in the room I reserved so I had to move to another room and the floors were all nasty stained and it didn't have the handicap walk in shower I reserved

Neglect + disrepair= unpleasant stay

I stayed here as part of a charity event I was participating in. To start, checkin was problematic. The late night desk clerk, while pleasant, tried to make me pay for a room that was prepaid. When I questioned the charge, he stumbled, then ran my card again behind the desk for the deposit. Never gave me a receipt. Then we got to the room. It was filthy. Potato sticks and visible dirt on the floor, bugs in both beds, and a roach on the wall- all reported to the front desk. Then the shower didn't work- first it didnt drain and then it ran out of water- reported to the front desk. Someone came to "fix it"- it still didnt drain properly until the last morning of our stay. The TV channels didn't work and just in general the stay was disappointing. All was not a fail, however. The location was prime. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was courteous and kind. There is a need for training and general upkeep and maintenance. I would not stay here again.

Just a one night stay

It was a one night only stay before our travel to Austin Grad Prix. The Hotel has excellent commodities, location, the breakfast was on time and great. My only concern was about the cleanliness of the room, specially the rug floor, the room smell very very bad.

I'll start with what was okay: Handicap parking available near the door. The mattress was fairly comfortable, although we laid on top of the bed without changing into PJ's. The not so okay: There was an awful stain was on the floor, in addition to the lamps and other furnishings in the room being extremely dusty (clearly not part of the housekeeping routine). Something was flying in the room and the front desk provided a spray. My expectations were moderate, but overall, I was very disappointed paying $140 for this room. Did not have breakfast, just got moving quickly the next morning.

Exceptional!

Amazing overall!!! Our flight was delayed and had to check in at 2:00 am. No problem at all. Our room was ready. So comfortable. Had everything we need. Breakfast was very good, serice amazing. Pool and everything, awsome.

Affordable, Comfy and Clean,what else do you need?

My husband and I came to San Antonio to go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We only stayed here one night and it was perfect. The room was very clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The bed was comfy and shower worked well. I would definitely recommend staying here! Affordable and clean.

It was easy and convenient to get to, easy check in and very clean.

Excellent service and very clean!

Theres a $100 deposit at the property. Its clean, theres an area to do laundry, they offer breakfast. Its decent for the price especially the location. The rooms are actually pretty big. All in all, Id stay here again.

I stayed there 6 days and housekeeping never came once and also the staff just came into my room on my last night there and didn't give me a reason. Very annoying.

I liked that the hotel is in the middle of town, where you can easily get to other places, liked that I had to wake up to hot breakfast every morning, it's a plus as far as am concerned. Staff was good, liked my room, except that you have to request for change of beddings every three days. Don't know if they're trying to save money. Safety scare while I was there, A Guest disrupted breakfast/used racial slures and police had to be called.

I booked a king bed and they gave me a doble queen bed because supposedly the A/C was not working.

Nice place

It’s a comfort suites. Don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine. We stayed there with our 13 & 15 yr old for 4 nights while vacationing to six flags (15 min away), The Alamo & River walk(15 min away), & Sea World (20 min away). The property is clean and so was our room. We didn’t ask or allow them to clean our room while we were there because we don’t like anyone in our room. Less people = less worry about someone messing with our stuff. We chose this place because of its central location to what we were doing. No issues about safety as it was located by a bunch of office buildings that were empty at night. They do serve breakfast but don’t expect anything crazy. Waffles, toast, a bran muffin, 1 flavor of yogurt, apples, 3 kinds of cereal, sausage, & some not to great powered? Eggs. The big change from one day to the next was were you going to get sausage patties or links. Finding the entry to the hotel can be tricky at first because your gps will try to take you in a back way that doesn’t exist. But once you figure that out, you’re fine. Plenty of restaurants and a Target within 5-10 min.

My room220 smelled really bad,I couldn’t tell if it had been used as a smoker room or wet carpet. The bed was barely made(not neat at all for a “clean” room! The hallway also deeper of “Mari-juana”… No tissue on the roll And lastly the toilet did NOT flush,when I mentioned it to the desk clerk,he smirked(weird) then I understood there was a language barrier. The next guy I explained it to, he mentioned no maintenance was there til the am & “Would you like a plunger?”-NO TF I DO NOT…we had to hold it til we could check out the next morning. The guest restroom must have met a sick guest or work staff, because it was gross,I was livid & dang near wanted to cry at this point….I would not recommend at all oh yeah I changed out my sheets on both beds and pull out couch I was told the manager would contact me I have yet to hear anything and I don’t even expect to at this point. The ONLY nice thing about this place is that it looks like a new building online & real time, it’s not cleanly kept. Check out was at 10am,breakfast over with at 930…we didn’t eat there,was too afraid too…

They need to make sure the rooms are well cleaned before hosting their guest in them

I have stayed in hotels of all calibres around the world and have NEVER before stayed in a room where they don't provide housekeeping unless you make a special request. There is nothing on their profile that says they only provide housekeeping every 3 days, yet this is what I was told AFTER I checked in. I wish I'd known before booking and paying, but I accepted it and I understand the ecological issues of cleaning towels and linens everyday - I have no problem with reusing a towel and not having sheets changed daily. But when I'm told that these will be changed on the 3rd day, I expect that - but got attitude form the staff when on the 3rd day this was not provided. I was then told that I should have asked for it. So for the 5 days that I stayed there, they didn't even come in to vacuum, remove garbage or restock the toiletries, coffee/teabags etc.

Not smart

The front desk clerk, “Krish” was not at the smartest person I’ve ever encountered. I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes before I was helped. He couldn’t understand that i booked a reservation but needed to pay, kept telling me “you still need to pay” while I held my credit card out to pay. Finally he understood, and asked for ID, I told him he had my ID which he did, it was the first thing I handed him. Finally got checked in went into the room and the bathroom door was locked. The hotel could not get it open, so they moved us to another room which was across the hall toward the back after I requested to be moved toward the lobby. Just a terrible check and won’t be coming back. They seem incompetent there and hotel situated in a dead zone. Bad vibes

5 Days While Visiting Family

This location was right where we needed to be to be close to everything. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. Definitely recommend

Went for business and all was as expected. Room was clean, staff was better than most, can’t really complain. For the price you really can’t go wrong. Complimentary breakfast is included and tasted great for what it was. At the end of the day this is not a five star hotel, however, they will accommodate any request you have as well as make your stay comfortable. 5 stars in my experience. Thanks CS

Our stay was nice. For a one night, quick, last minute trip, Comfort Inn provided just what we needed. A nice, comfortable room with all the essentials.

Great little slice of comfort!

Hotel is tucked away and traffic noise is no problem! Plenty of parking available and our room was well insulated (kept the heat and cool as we liked it!). The location is conveniently close to multiple restaurants and gas stations. Staff is friendly and eager to serve! We’ll be staying here again!

The property appears to be ok; nothing out of the norm. However, I checked in on a Wednesday and checked out on a Monday and no one ever came to clean the room. I recall reading that the room would be cleaned on the third day…but no one ever came by. There was a decent breakfast put out everyday, the same items everyday but still decent. Nothing remarkable or unremarkable about this property. It’s just an average hotel doing what it’s suppose to do.
