The room looked like it needed a lot of touchup. The walls were dirty. It looked like there was water damage in the bathroom. We saw a small cockroach, the couch smelt like urine and the receptionist when we were checking in gave us an option to do cash for the deposit or credit. They said it would be faster to get the deposit back if we did cash but try to find any excuse to not give it back and made the process of checking out even longer. The area around it is very ghetto.

Terrible place

The service was horrible. The guys at the front desk lost my reservation. I had to call who I booked through to prove that i had 2 rooms. The front desk people were so rude and mean. The rooms weren't clean. We asked for sheets, blankets and pillows for our two fold out and it took us 3 times to getting a couple of pieces and then they said they didn't have anything. When we were clearing looking at all the sheets and all the linens in the closet. They had people standing around the building smoking weed and you could smell inside. We were only there for one night and that was enough. We slept in our clothes and got up and left. In my opinion i would not recommend this place to stay.

They have not returned security deposit to my card after almost a month, I was only there for one day and checked out as normal, typically it comes back after 2/3 days not a month

Our stay was for 3 nights. Not once did they come clean our room. Complained to front desk. They acted like they were not aware of the issue and said someone would clean it tomorrow. We said thats fine we leave tomorrow anyways. They offer breakfast but they have very little left 30 mins before it ends. Why claim you jave food to a certain yime if you have anything.

Hot tub was dirty and moldy. When confronted, staff was not accomodating until a male guest asked. Pool towels were the size of hand towels and 1 per guest. In between days of multi stay visit, was locked out of own room by staff, during which staff discarded my personal items.

My stay in this hotel was a good experience for me and my family. The room was clean, but it was little compared to what was shown in the hotel's description. The continental breakfast was fair, but it would help if they changed it up a little. For example, change the sausage and eggs to bacon and omelet. Something like that, but all in all, it was a good place to stay, and it was affordable.

Worst Stay at a Comfort Suites Hotel

Lobby smelled like mildew when we checked in; they asked for $50 dep that would be refunded. Still not refunded Advertised a breakfast "buffet". What a joke! At 7:30am were minimal items, cold waffles and cereal, they said they ran out of eggs and sausage (at that time of morning?) We got nothing but toast or a waffle for 2 days. Saturday at 6:30am we had to wait for rubbery, cold eggs and a half empty pan of cold sausage. No fruit on the 'buffet" but a few overripe apples. No air on in the room so it smelled stale. The towels were clean but had stains and thread bare. No stoppers in the sink or tub. Couldn't give grandson a tub bath. Phone in the room didn’t work. We tried calling out several times with no dial tone. We tried front desk that was not manned after 9pm. It took 20 min to get someone to help us when our key card didn’t work. We needed to enter from the end of hall but couldnt as the key card access panels were broken with just wiring sticking out. The hotel entrance sign and the exterior security lighting didn't work where we had to park so ir was very dark . We had "DO NOT DISTURB" on our door but someone used master key to while we were away. An employee must have dropped it while in our room. Other guests reported they had someone enter their room with a master key too and didn’t feel safe. The pool was too cold (58°) to swim in so guests used the small hot tub. We chose this hotel for this amenity. We reported to the manager who said "deal with it".

I booked this hotel a month prior to my stay, and requested a crib for my baby. Let me point out the hotel says its family friendly and that they have cribs and infant beds available, which is why i booked it. When i got to the hotel.. First of all the front desk receptionist was on the phone the entire time as he checked us in and didn’t even ask us questions. I asked for the crib and he said one wasn’t available. I asked a second time, and they said you'll have to wait to the morning. I asked a third time and i was told they couldn’t do nothing about it. And gave me extra sheets. I called expedia and choice hot and no one helped me, i was so scared of my baby falling off the bed, and i had to sleep her on the floor. I will never again book with them

1) Could not check-in even 20 minutes early first time this has ever happen to us while traveling. 2) Room did not have a "Do not disturb door sign and front desk would not provide one, several others on floor had one. 3) main restroom out of order 1sr floor 4) ice maching for floor out of order 5) Room toilet backed up, when went to let housekeeping know, they handed us a plunger! 6) Mold in shower 7) When meeting with an associate in the loddy/dining area we were told to leave. After about 45 min. Manager was not available to talk to. 8) kids running in hallways till midnight, no one addressed it. 9) They wouldn't split a two day stay reciept into to one day reciepts (for business expense purposes) 10) House keeping did not understand or talk English....not good for clientele, Maybe ICE needs to be informed!

show up on time or else they’ll try to cancel you

Came out of town, tried to check in at 8 pm.. as check in runs from 3 pm to midnight. As I was checking in, hotel staff told me he was about to cancel my reservation and that he was trying to charge my card without my presence there. Mind you, I could not answer a call from the hotel as I was on the road and I only showed up twenty minutes or so after his call of him trying to cancel my reservation. Man talked very low and had an AirPod in, didn’t really understand what he was saying. Was charged a 50 deposit separately from the hotel itself plus another fee that I wasn’t told about. As I was checking out, had another hotel staff check me out and also was not that understanding, as he asked if we paid cash or card. Saw other people waiting around after checking out and overheard that they were waiting for the deposit to be put back on their card, decided to leave as hotels NORMALLY should give you the deposit back after you leave and you should not have to wait around until it’s convenient for them to refund you. Nice hotel room, but honestly won’t be staying here again. To add on, the remote stopped working after one use so I had to use the button on the tv to change. Kind of frustrating. Also breakfast runs from 6-9, most people don’t even make it on time.

Over all, I had an okay stay at this hotel. I felt safe, I loved the indoor pool and I appreciated the free breakfast! I did have issues with the cleanliness of my room. There was a small live roach that I had to kill, there were 2 pubic hairs tangled in my wash cloth, and the other cloth had a brown spot on it, so I did not trust any of the towels. I also did not appreciate the rude front desk clerk at checkout. He was on a personal call when I approached the counter. I told him I was ready to check out. He took the key card, made no eye contact and continued speaking in Arabic or similar language. I asked him if I was good to go and he looked at me annoyingly and shook his head.

Walls were dirty, cockroach in the restroom. My nephew woke up with bed bug bites. The rooms smelled musty. The front desk person was really rude and on his phone instead of paying attention to people checking in. Save your money

I booked with Hotels.com and planned accordingly money wise. I tried calling before hand twice to see if anyone could answer any questions but no luck. Once I arrive the guy at the front desk looks aggravated that we are there and he has to help. He continues to complain about us to someone on the phone about us as he demanded $50 for check-in deposit. I did not plan this when I planned for the day out and it completely cut into our first evening. Breakfast was pathetic as well, everything ran out by 7:30 and we got nothing but cereal (which we ran out of milk before we could fill our bowl) and a couple sausages. If I would’ve known what I know now I would’ve saved the 40 dollars (90 including the room fee) and gone to the motel 6 up the road.

Disappointed

I was extremely disappointed with our stay. As soon as we walked down the hallway, there was an unpleasant odor. The room appear “clean” at first glance, but while unpacking, I discover to roaches, which was beyond disgusting. The bathroom was okay, but it was clear that it needed some improvements. The air conditioning also was not working properly. When I was hanging some clothes, I noticed grafitti on the walls, which was unsettling. We were staying on the second floor, and it was impossible to get any rest because of the loud noises coming from the 3rd floor. We tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no one ever answer. We even went to the 3rd floor and knocked on doors to ask people to keep the noise down. Breakfast was also poor. They only options were waffles, and while I saw eggs I didn’t dare to try them. The orange juice was watery. Honestly, I want to leave since we arrived, but wasn’t sure if I could cancel and get a refund due to the poor cleanliness of the room. I fell foolish for not reading the reviews before booking this stay.

It was a pleasant experience overall. The room was comfortable and clean. The King bed was very comfortable to sleep in and most of the time we got good sleep. The breakfast was decent. Make your own waffles, sausages, eggs (in a round shape) toast, milk, jelly, coffee, juice (not real), and cheerios or fruit loops. It was acceptable for us and saved us from paying for a daily breakfast. We liked to have the refrigerator and microwave in our room also.

A place to recover

Ive been to this hotel vefore and its a nice place to stay for a day or two at reasonable prices. I like the hot tub but there needs to be some updating on some of equipment that aids the elderly or handicap. Those apparatus are rusty and need to be replaced.

I won't be staying there again new rules...you can no longer leave a cash deposit $50 must be on a card. And if you need to extend your stay be prepared to leave another $50 so thats money tied up on your card.

Very dirty and breakfast was very unorganized, there was still 20 min left and the lady would not refill anything because she said it was almost time for it to be over. Went to get coffee atleast and there wasn’t any creamer. Overall service was terrible and room was dirty.

We loved our room! It was spacious, the bathroom was amazing and the closet had plenty of space. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub. And we were just next door to an IHOP for dinner. The hotel served an amazing continental breakfast! I would definitely stay here again.

Terrible services poor Breakfast Unrrespecfull

Well rate including breakfast but I don’t know what’s those that means breakfast for this own hotel .. old bread/ orange juice like water , tinny butter (only option) coffee not cups eggs and sausage on same pot with fork inside the pot very unclean too poor services breakfast Not cereal not milk ..so think is better don’t offer breakfast

Stinks like curry

The first room they put us in has mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the tub had paint peeling off in huge chunks, like someone tried to repaint the tub, super unsanitary especially with all flakes and crevices. The room stunk of Fabuloso cleaner, which most people I know find repulsive. The next room they gave us was much better, but still rough around the edges. The breakfast was sad, looked like the same apples had been sitting in the bowl for 3 months. The waffle mix was so watery it wouldn't make waffles and stuck to the waffle iron. When I brought it up to the management at the front desk they just shrugged mumbled something about it being the new year. Next mornings, no waffle mix. Just the fake eggs and pork links, the muffins and cereal and milk. Stuff for toast. Probably sufficient for most people.

I liked the quietness of the property. I didn't like that the room were smelling cigarette smoke, the bathroom in one of the rooms had molds on the ceiling . The manager was at the property was not very helpful.

Give it a Thought Before You Book

"Breakfast" was not really breakfast. Options are limited food was not prepared on time. I love to stay at hotels for their breakfast but this was a disappointment. Towels need to be exchanged for new ones and room need updates.

Worst experience

The entire room was filled with mold. The breakfast was hardly breakfast only bread. We were denied towels. The was a dead mosquito on the counter the entire time

The place was okay. Names are confusing with other property in the SA area. Front desk staff was awful. Place wasn’t clean but wasn’t filthy either. Wasn’t the worst stay but wouldn’t recommend it if you can find other options and that shouldn’t really be a problem in San Antonio. Only ended up staying here on accident due to the name confusion with the other property.

We stayed 4 nights. The rooms were decently clean with nice bedding. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was limited and cold but we made waffles so it wasnt an issue. The hotel is near an Ihop and a BBQ place. There was a walmart and other stores nearby as well. So it was convenient. The water pressure in the shower was lacking but otherwise, I think we had a good experience.

The indoor pool had freezing cold water… other than that its a great hotel stayed 3x here already and thinking of makin it my travel hotel from now on when i visit San Antonio 5/5 highly recommend!

We stay 2 days , but almost leave after the first, the AC was broken, the maintenance person was really nice and fixed it momentarily and let us know he will change the part next day, next day the closet door fall out almost hit my sister she was able to hold it and did not get hurt, I call front desk and the young man with bear and tall after I told him what happened with AC and door I ask for another room and he said no definitely no other room in a very rude way, he don’t even ask how was my sister, or give any options, maintenance guy told us there where few more room getting clean , and that yea there was 1 to move us but he promise he will fixed the door and AC, all this was very stressful and I don’t think people like this guy should be on the front Desk, almost feel like he didn’t want to help or hear because we are Mexicans?? This happened in room 114
