I think it was a great hotel. All staff were kind and polite.

So many things wrong with this stay. First, upon arrival I was charged a $16 resort fee, even though I was prepaid. Then, there was the smell, awful! At first I thought it was pot, but after a couple of days I think it's the cleaning products they used, kinda like rancid lemongrass, heavy and cloying and EVERYWHERE in the building. Room stank of it, couch had stains all over it, including where it looked like someone had sat without wearing underwear. Layout is weird, a two story thing with bedroom on second level, but there's virtually no light indoors, one tiny lightbulb on each floor. Also, no way to turn off the downstairs light from upstairs, so had to traipse back downstairs to turn that light off. Paint on the railings all chipped and beaten, bed had a huge crevasse in the center, shower curtain had a suspicious brown stain on it. That being said, the pillows were quite good, the place had been cleaned quite thoroughly and the bed was very professionally made. The noise though... The exterior door is that push-bar type and people were in and out all night, slamming into the push bar and then the door would slam closed, startling me awake. I was there during the week and workmen started on some kind of "clinking" project just after 7AM and also just before 8AM on Saturday. Between the smell, the noise, the uncomfortable bed, the weird stains, there is NO way I'm staying here again.

Don't be fooled by the outside.

The rooms are clean but very stark. What they call a closet is nothing more than a cubby or cutout into the wall, as it does not contain any shelving or a rod to hang your stuff. The stairs in the lofts are steep, narrow, and dangerous. The TVs are kind of out date; no Netflix or YouTube access, they were not smart TVs. They were hung oddly high on the walls and were kind of small too. The carpet in the hallway of the second floor is stained everywhere and has one long stain like someone dropped something and dragged it a from end to the other of the hallway. There is NO ELEVATOR!!!! How do you have a second floor without an elevator? The "continental breakfast" is a joke. There is no ice machine on the second floor. Don't be fooled by the quaint pretty pictures of the outside. Yes the place is clean and the staff is nice but the rooms are odd, stark and sparse.

It wasn’t what it was portrayed on the site. The pictures were very misleading in the type of room we would receive.

The staff was great, very gracious in their customer service. The property overall was good. I thought the room could use a good cleaning as there were signs of spills or something on the bathroom walls running down to the baseboards that either a scrubbing or paint could remedy. The ac unit was very musty smelling. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. We were only there in the morning and at night so it was fine for what we needed. We didn't use any of their facilities otherwise and they have a complimentary breakfast but we did not get a chance to try it. Again tho, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Not the 4-Seasons, but The Staff makes up for it

Though the breakfast isn't all that, the lighting in the rooms and hallways could be less harsh, and the place could use a little refresh, the service is really kind and responsive. The staff is extremely attentive to your needs and really takes the time to hear you out. If you are here on business, it does the job, though it's not a place I'd consider beyond 2.5 stars. I'd say families would be OK here or couples wanting to spend a few days in the area and not be confined to their hotel rooms (staying out all night). It's definitely not a romantic stay though and if you want more impeccable digs (furnishings, hallmates), maybe skip this one. If you're just here on business or a stopover, don't hesitate: this place will do the job.

Good place to stay!

Lobby looks great. Breakfast was good enough. Rooms were pretty good. Would definitely stay here again, but don’t expect glamorous. Staff was very kind and helpful. Just needed a place to stay before boarding a cruise and this place fit the bill!

Clean comfortable updated room and lobby/breakfast area. The location felt safe and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. Inside hallways add to the safety.

Great staff!

The associates were extremely attentive. The area where breakfast is provided was clean and kept well supplied. My only negative comment is that a better selection for breakfast should be provided.

Close to the venue

We enjoyed our stay here. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We received an upgrade in our room. The room was quiet and breakfast was good.

IMPRESSED!

This a unique hotel with tons of character and AWESOME staff! If you are looking for a SUPER CLEAN hotel, this is the place for you. The only thing I suggest is that the property paint the stairs in the 2 level rooms and maybe carpet those stairs for comfort. Other than that (which is super minor) we will be back! They even checked on us after we checked in and helped with the AC. TOP NOTCH!!!

This property was a complete disgrace. I arrived at around 10 p.m. The exterior appeared aged, but not run down. On arrival there were guest smoking marijuana outside on the patio. The lobby has been redone and looked quite clean and modern. The front desk representative was extremely cordial and helpful. The pantry are was clean and well stocked with drinks and snacks. I was told the hotel doesn't have elevators and I would have to exit the building, find the stairs, use my room key to open the door, and go to the second floor. I found a door to the building which entered the first floor. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana was overwhelming. Voices from the rooms were easily overheard. I eventually found the stairs and went to the second floor. After entering the room, I was again hit with stale cigarette smoke odor. The room was dark and the bed was upstairs - this was not the impression I got from the website room description. There was a door that led to the outside with a large window. The deadbolt was functional. The air-conditioning unit was old and covered in mold. The couch was stained and soiled; the arms were darker in color than the rest of the couch. There was a large area of dried up nail polish. The linens were crisp white and clean. The mattress was heavily stained with dark stains all over the mattress. This hotel was poorly advertised and my expectations were much higher given the price of over $200.

Everything was great, except for the condition of the room. The deadbolt at the rear patio was upside down The deadbolt at the front door would not lock. The stairwell leading up to the bedroom loft was very narrow and hard to manage. And the post holding up the centre landing were pitched in so that they weren’t bearing properly. Most of the light and fan switches were either reversed or upside down. The hot and cold faucet in the bathroom upstairs was reversed. The faucet in the tub was upside down and all the towels used in the unit were thread bare, meaning there were areas of the towels that you could actually see through which we’re not for decorations.

It was quiet and comfortable. Shower and floor could have been cleaner. It seems like the place is a bit older but has newer furniture and paint. The staff was super attentive and welcoming.

I was supposed to get a refund . They screwed by not refunding me the money back

Great facility with friendly & helpful staff. The manager gave me an upgraded room, and when the tv remote was missing a battery, someone came to personally deliver a fresh set. The room itself was a split-level suite with a spacious kitchen area and an upstairs bedroom. One of the best hotel rooms I've had.

Character & Great staff!

Super cute & filled with character! Great, friendly staff! Didn't realize our room would be a loft room with the bed and full bath upstairs, but we survived even with my bad knee. Will stay here again if we do another cruise! But on the first floor next time.

Terrible website

I accidentally hit key to book and immediately tried to cancel the reservation. It changed my credit card and would not allow cancellation. Never using Hotel.com again.

Great location but needs updating

Location was good but the beds were old and broken. We laid down and rolled to the center. No middle support what’s so ever. Made for a difficult and uncomfortable sleep.

Didn't Need To Be In Jail

This was of the best hotels I've booked. Complimentary breakfast, nice patio areas, return deposits, nice staff and very professional. The only thing that I dislike was that there were no Internet services to watch movies on the apps that were install on the TV, but other than that it was a nice place to book for a quick getaway.

It was really nice and clean

This is my third time staying at this property in the last month. Rooms are incredible, they have a king suite which is two stories, the downstairs has a pull-out couch and a bathroom and the upstairs has a king bed and a bathroom like a two bedroom apartment! Very unique. Service is great; there's always someone at the desk willing to help, free breakfast is excellent including a waffle station and a topping station for yogurts. Overall a five-star experience for right around $100 a night

Good spot and cheap 😀

Staff was amazing. Honestly the only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars was the pool was lame and the smell in our hallway made me a little queasy. It was like cleaning products trying to mask a bad smell.

Staff was friendly but the floor and counter in our room was dirty, and it was supposed to be smoke free but as soon as you are out of the lobby it Reeked of weed and cigarette smoke .

Very nice and clean

Everything was clean accept room had a damp feeling, sheets etc. no hot water in the shower so taking a cold shower was not the best feeling when you wanna shower before bed after going to a concert.

Will never book at this location again, drug transactions, TV and Internet doesn't work at all, breakfast food was stale and the room smelled like marijuana.

It was a cheap property. The front desk at check in had no demeanor for customer service what so ever. The property was definitely below my standard, and probably is below yours as well. The room was cheap, basic and ugly. I was completely disappointed.

Homey Stay

The stay was a very nice experience. Warm comfy beds, awesome mirrors in the bathrooms. I booked a Suite which had a loft I really liked the fact that the room was upstairs aloud for privacy. The sofa in the living room was a pull out bed that was also very comfy. I would suggest putting a bigger refrigerator with a freezer in the Suites. I booked the room for my mother and I due to her having surgery and the convenience of location to and from my work and the hospital. The surrounding are very quiet considering the location of the Hotel. Although they need to speak with someone about maintenance feeding the Alligators in the lake next to the Hotel.

Not safe

Unfortunately; the washer and dryer didn’t work for the entire 5 days I was there. I reached out to the desk clerk but nothing was done to fix the problem.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and smelled really nice. Front desk was very friendly. We would stay again and recomend. The grounds was really nice.

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel! There will be many more times as well! This place is like a little Oasis! From a tropical courtyard to awesome upstairs loft rooms. The privacy is great! The service is wonderful because everyone is so nice! The rooms are clean, roomy and cozy. The pool area is also a wonderful and peaceful place. Whether you are going for a quick weekend getaway or staying for a week. If you're looking to relax, have peace and quiet and privacy, this is a great location!

Hot water was tepid at best so don't expect any hot showers. Otherwise, good value for price.

Great property, friendly and helpful staff. Room was large with modern updates. Convenient location to I-75 and yet quiet and in a nice neighborhood that we were able to take a walk through.

Shower door old with mold; water sink wouldn’t go down and bugs were coming out of it. The building it self had a very strong odor that really turns your stomach around. The entrance to our side of building was not working- so if there was an emergency people couldn’t get in or leave. It was just awful. The bed pillows were so high I had to sleep using towels as pillow. Sometimes we are better off just spending a little more and not worry about the smaller things that make huge difference when traveling. The walls are very thins you can hear other people talking/ yelling and even shutting their doors. With this review hopefully makes the owner pay more attention to the property.

Nice, clean, peaceful and quiet

I thought the property is very nice the inside was really nice I enjoyed the room that what I had the only thing that I can say is that the pool area just needed to have some cleaning and maybe some sweeping of the leaves that were inside the pool but other than that I enjoyed this day and the rooms is very nice and the front desk staff was really nice and accommodating. I would stay at this hotel again.

Property itself is very pleasant and lofts are spacious, even if not cozy due to hardwood floor throughout. Upstairs bedroom had no blinds or darkening curtains at all on the three windows and there was an outside light right outside my room! Made for a miserable night's sleep. Buffet breakfast was good and varied

Staff very rude. Came into my room unannounced and for no apparent reason while I was upstairs sleeping naked. The room had already been paid for in advance. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Dirty and Smelly

The property itself is very nice and is in a great location. However, the hotel smells strongly of chemicals. Additionally, the front desk service worker was not friendly. Also, the suite we stayed in was DIRTY! The floors were filthy and the sheets had many stains on them.

Nice stay

This hotel is in a quiet area. I enjoyed the scenery and the cleanliness. The ac in the room wasn’t cool at night and I was a little hot, but it’s was an overall nice stay. I would stay here again, I was in the king suite.

The shower was dirty, hair was in it , i took pics, and I reported it to the front desk nothing was done! On top of that the toilet was stopped up and I had to plunge it myself , so unheard of!

First of all, the property is really beautiful and there is a lake with ducks and there is a Rooster on property and he walks around and sometimes picks on the ducks. The hotel is very pretty inside and clean and Neel, at the front desk was awesome. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return when we can.

I find it magnificent, i travel often to Tampa. This hotel from now on would be my number one pick if they are available.

Great Stay!

Our stay was perfect we had enough space and the room was clean and a/c was great...it was 100 degrees at the horse show, so it was nice to have the a/c.

I love the property it's so beautiful makes makes you feel like you're in a tropical island when you're out lounging by the pool I've been coming here for years one of my favorite places staff is amazing and courteous

Kids screaming

The management was kind & helpful, even though we did wait nearly 10 min, with others in line to check in around 7pm. The TV didn’t work as expected. Those tiny things could have been overlooked but the children running and screaming in the hall until we’d hours and the woman screaming “get out” at 7am was not okay. The Ed’s are hard, as well. They give you 3 pillows per 2 people do you may want to bring some or get ready to negotiate with your sleep buddy because the front desk will give you no more. Oh and the “free breakfast” is waffles and yogurt. No we won’t stay again.

Booked a suite room for the extra space ...it was nice up to date room...with a loft bedroom and 2 bathrooms ...small kitchen area...and balcony overlooking the pool.area...I would definitely book this place again in the future..

Front desk was amazing helpful and made wonderful suggestions for dinner before the concert we were in town for. Loved the little suite we had! no complaints. Highly recommended this cute little place.

I recently posted a bad review on this hotel concerning a pet policy and not getting a refund for the second night. I have stayed here many times and have always loved the property and the staff. When this incident happened the manager was not available due to a illness. Today I recieved a very nice and sincere apology from the manager over the telephone. She was very apologetic and told me I will be getting my refund. I'm very sorry for the bad review as I do really love this hotel.
