Another great stay at the C. Baldwin
It was great! The staff were fantastic!
Review of C. Baldwin Hilton Hotel – Houston, TX By Gil & Renée of the RICH Relationships Refuge For our 36th wedding anniversary, we chose the C. Baldwin Hilton Hotel in Houston, TX, and it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and cared for. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—truly a feast for the eyes and the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. A standout part of our stay was Sarah at the front desk. She was remarkable! Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel like VIPs. It’s rare to encounter customer service this superior, and Sarah deserves all the recognition for making our anniversary unforgettable. We highly recommend the C. Baldwin Hilton Hotel for anyone looking for an elegant and hospitable experience in Houston. Thank you for helping us celebrate 36 years of love and partnership in such a memorable way! —RICH Friends, Gil & Renée
Beautiful aesthetics
A one night stay, was very limited for the price. Ended up getting charged for food & beverage but all food and beverage were closed during my stay. Would not recommend, better off going to Marriot Marquis as its very superior and has better everything.
Nice for the price
Great Hotel reasonable price considering downtown Houston few things I wish they had was a balcony or patio or outside space Also the refrigerator or microwave in the room or on the floor would be nice as well everything else was amazing
I had a great stay . The staff was polite and very accommodating. The shuttle was perfect for our nearby activities . I would highly recommend
Nice and classy hotel
I like the location; it is very safe and walkable to some restaurants and parks. It is in the heart of downtown, a very sophisticated part of downtown. The hotel is beautiful and clean. However, I got no sleep for two nights of my four-night stay. A huge fraternity and sorority party was held right next to me, with loud music and loud people. I reported it to the front desk the next morning. The staff apologized and said they would reach out to the manager, but I received no call or apology from the manager. I mean, two nights back to back. Also, there is a mandatory $80 fee called "Destination"—be careful. Maybe use it for parking if you have a car, just for one night. The remaining 15 , get a drink ir snack at the bar. If you order to the room, there is a 10$ service fees. They charge $65 a night for parking. There is parking right across the street from the hotel for $35 a night. The nightly fee is too high to charge an additional mandatory fee of $80. That's a scam. But the hotel is clean and beautiful.
No microwave or fridge
excellent customer service
Beautiful hotel
Nice place, nice staff
Loved the location and the cleanliness.
This hotel was stunning and the room was clean and cozy. My only complaint is that when I woke up on the last night of my stay to use the restroom (around 6am) the water was not working in my room at all. By the time I woke up a few hours later it was running again but ran brown in both the toilet and sink for a minute or so until it ran clear again.
Hotel service, valet in particular was okay. However, bed sheets, bathroom, and general room cleanliness was terrible. Rooms are generally run down and overall pricing is high for the quality of room. Furniture was stained, and overall just not thought out in terms of design and cleanliness.
Beautiful lobby bar. Service was rather curt but was prompt. Dinner menu at Rosalie’s was not extensive, price for me; pizza with three toppings was $26.00. I was ok, but nothing to write home about. Room large, comfortable. Was lacking an ice bucket, called desk, said they’d send one up. After 30 minutes, had not arrived & I had an appointment. It was there when I returned, unknown how long it actually took to arrive. Shampoo, body wash etc were just ok. Mattress was comfortable, pillows and linens were very nice. No alarm clock. Mini fridge was a joke, hard to even explain it…it was in a drawer. Valet parking was $$ and didn’t see any option for self-park. Realllly disliked that they add a resort fee. Get it back if you purchase food or drink, but this wasn’t any type of resort to me…didn’t even have a pool. Safe, quiet area…I had a lovely view of a parking garage lol. Overall ok…stayed because it was a short walk to Hobby Center, but do not think I’d return.
I had a great stay for my birthday at the C. Baldwin. The lobby and bar is so aesthetic. Their complimentary drink and breakfast were amazing!! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Was not the quality I expected, one of the rooms made me itch when I got into the bed . Had to ask to change rooms . Hotel restaurant was very slow and the food was not the best
Insane Prices
This was all about location. The room was way over priced and they charge you $20 per day including the day you check out just becuase it's a "luxury" hotel. They do take that $20 off any room service bill which has a $10 delivery and 25% gratuity added.
Not luxury, do not let the pictures fool you
The hotel advertises as luxury but is far from luxury. The lobby is nice but it stops there. The room was very small and not well kept and cleaned well for the luxury price. The walls were extremely thin. We were woken up by the people in the room next door around 2AM and it sounded like they were doing drugs - we could hear their conversation so clear as if they were in our room! The WORST hotel experience of my life. Extremely ghetto.
I loved this property and the surrounding neighborhood. The decor and artwork in the lobby were top notch. I was very happy with the comfort of the bed and the staff was attentive. I'd definitely coming back.
This property was great. Rooms are very spacious and the views are also nice. They are also pet friendly.
Location. Lack of menu variety
Nice location
Thank
Beautiful, modern hotel!
There’s nothing to not love about this property! The staff is professional and courteous!! Will be staying again
Property was excellent service was amazing
Very clean, only thing missing was microwaves in the rooms and vending machines. Loved the area where the hotel is located !
Nice hotel. Very clean and nice staff.
Rude and dismissive
The front desk staff were consistently rude and very dismissive. The rooms have no microwaves, or iron/ironing boards. We were met with attitudes by the front desk employees when we asked for any assistance.
Amazing place to stay -
Loved it!
We loved the property, the restaurant and the bar, and the entire vibe of the hotel!
loved every second honestly.
The room was hot. Even turning on the air conditioner it was still hot. Walls are very thin. Can hear couples in their rooms. Snack area on the halls was just an ice machine no vending. Parking was very confusing and time consuming. Better to park your own vehicle on the garage instead of waiting in a crowded area
Overall we had a great stay! The valet service was really great, Solanna, Michael, and CJ were very attentive and made everything a breeze. They got out cars in and out with no problems during our stay. I will stay here again.
Great staff and perfect location in the heart of Houston
I went this time for a mommy mental health weekend and I enjoyed myself extremely.
Awesome!
It was an awesome experience. The valet team was awesome. Shuttle was awesome. The bar was so pretty and the drinks we so good. The Rosalie restaurant breakfast was so good.
Better lighting in rooms. No vending machines. Great staff 10/10 customer service
Very nice clean and smelled super fresh , as well the shower was great and valet parking staff were super fast.
Great
Beautiful property. Loved everything about it, and will stay here again when I’m Houston.
Very enjoyable stay! Rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, bar and on site entertainment were wonderful! Will be our go to stay when we return!!
Nice hotel love the bar area in the lobby and the complimentary rides within 2 miles is nice
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean, and I loved the candy bar in the lobby at night. My only complaints are that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant before the airport because there was no one there and no signs that it was closed, and that the bathroom does not feel private enough from the rest of the room.
Staff members were so nice and helpful but I was promised birthday items for my sister when we checked in on Friday. They never came so I spoke to the front desk they apologized and said they would send them up but again it never came. I was really disappointed
Nice place
Nice, clean, and conveniently located!
Maintenance needed in the bathroom.
Very friendly staff. Our room was large and had everything we needed. The shuttle service they provided was beyond helpful.
Property is insanely beautiful! Very clean, room is immaculate. Customer service 10/10!
Close to the ballpark
The hotel is just a place to stay, it has no activities 1 bars and 1 restaurant that closes early. It just bland.
That parking was so much
There is nothing available to eat or drink other than the bar and restaurant, which is kind of annoying when you just want a small snack late at night and you don’t want to get back out to drive somewhere. Driving is also aggravating because it’s ONLY valet, and they will rush you so much you can’t even get your bags out of the car and you can’t go get anything from your car, they have to do it or you have to wait until they get it back out of the valet lot(which is a lengthy wait most of the time from my experience) I get that it’s downtown but I have also seen parking at least a tiny bit for hotels in a downtown before. It’s also $58 every day you use the valet so be ready for that too. It’s a very over priced hotel and I don’t think it’s worth the price honestly. It wasn’t anything special
Overall this property was great but as far as the linen on the bed it was horrible spots all over the comforter and they didn’t even make the bed properly it was no sheets on there.
The room was nice. Did like the didn’t have vending machines
Beautiful property, amazing staff. I would just prefer a spot less and soap scum free bathroom. Not dirty at all, I’m just a Virgo
This hotel is upscale really for adults.
I paid in full on Expedia for a queen double room. When I arrived at the hotel at approximately 5:30 pm, there were no rooms available. I had to wait over an hour and a half for a room. Otherwise, the staff and hotel was great!
Beautiful hotel with mid-century modern aesthetic. Very comfortable and clean, would come back!
Our room did not have hand towels or wash cloths! Was hoping to see a complimentary coffee or some other breakfast options. The Charge for Valet seemed extremely high
Beautiful property!
Beautiful property which was clean and well designed. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Everything was exceptional. But 68$ a night for parking is outrageous.
POPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL JUST NOT REALLY FUNCTIONABLE. AC UNIT DID NOT GET VERY COOL. NO FRIG BUT DID HAVE A COOLER IN ROOM THAT DID NOT WORK, SO NO PLACE TO PUT DRINKS OR FOOD IF YOU WANT THEM TO STAY COLD.
Fantastic staff, great room, excellent dining. Property is great too, but unsafe as soon as you walk outside. Not hotels fault, it is city that should modify policies.
Love the big spacious rooms.
Clean and comfortable
This place is just subpar. Maybe it’s just my expectations, but the rickety elevators smelled like marijuana and the whole place had a cheap and dirty feeling. Like a hotel on the strip. Circus Circus level
No complaints. Such a great stay. Anything I requested it was done immediately.
.
The only con to this location is there is no pool… big negative for me
Didnt like that the shower did not drain while taking a shower. Another than that, everything was good
Would definitely recommend
Lots of unexpected fees and charges that I wasn’t made aware of. Transportation fee? Valet? Very wonderful hotel just felt nickel and dimed.
N/a
The property is very beautiful. However, their staff and service needs work. They could also stand to increase the hotel security so visitors do not ruin the experience for others.
In Room 911, the carpet has huge stains. It needs to be shampooed or replaced and the sofa is old and worn. It should be replaced as well.
The front desk staff was excellent, and knowledgeable about the area. The decor of the hotel was chic and my view was nice too. I am eager to come back!
First stay and it wasn’t bad. Mr Johnny was so nice and made my stay very enjoyable
Perfect bed ❤️
Loved that they provide shuttle service within a 3 mile radius that was very convenient.
My stay here was amazing
Wast up to par
The staff was friendly.
The front desk does not respond to customers requests on time .
Poor booking system and bad faith
Made a mistake in my booking (booked for the same night vs the night after). Realized this within 5 min and spent the next hour trying to rebook. Really bad faith from both the hotel and hotels.com telling me that they could not do anything and only the other could make that change. I know very well they could have rebooked or reimbursed me but chose not to. Poor system
Loved our stay, the staff was friendly. The location to the Colombian festival was exceptional. What we did not like we were charged for breakfast and the reservation included breakfast. Other than that we will be returning next year.
Great place. Clean with a friendly staff.
To be charged almost $100 more for less amenities than my original reservation, then to be disrespected by the "Manager On Duty" because of the staff error made this the absolute worst experience I have had traveling. I will NEVER return to this hotel. I paid the $20 resort fee for 2 people twice. I paid extra for a high floor and was placed on a mid level floor at best, even in comparison to what the hotel advertises as "high floor". The customer service by Paulo "the so called Manager on Duty" was absolutely horrible. To be cut off and yelled by this man. I will never. I have contacted an attorney in regards to this matter. This is how bad this entire stay was.
I came in town for a concert and my experience was almost perfect. I throughly enjoyed the location, as well as the convenient valet service. However, I expected better quality sheets from a place like the C. Baldwin. I had such an uncomfortable sleeping experience because the sheets felt so rough. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for luxury and aesthetics. Comfort however may be a hit or miss.
Great experience. Would stay again.
Awesome
Front desk staff as well as valet were extremely nice. Restaurant team was great, Tannis and the manager took good care of us. Lounge bar team very good and Nelson at the coffee bar was great.
Great stay, walls are thin . But great dtay
First the likes: nice property, great staff, location is fine if your driving/Ubering or have meetings downtown. Not much in Houston downtown but near other dining options. No options for parking except valet at $32 day or $52 for evening. Breakfast at $35 pp was awful, they need to do better with breakfast.
Great
Incredible stay, view and staff! Bed was really stiff for my personal liking but everything else was incredible
