We had to book a last minute room and this property was amazing and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating!

Close to Downtown

I had a fantastic stay! The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect—close to everything I wanted to explore. What really stood out was the attention to detail and excellent customer service throughout my stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary ride to the concert venue. Food at the bar was tasty if a bit overpriced. Drinks were good.

Overall accessing the hotel was easy and a convenient stay to the Toyota center. But, our shower did not drain it took all night and had mildew. The carpet was completely stained and the ac was not working fully. We only stayed one night so we worked with the room we had.

Jasmin, the bartender, was amazing. She always tried to make a “no” into a “yes!” The women at the front desk, on check in, also have the same attitude. All the carts were full when we arrived. One of the women at the front desk helped us carry our luggage to our room by hand. We will return!

Good location and beautiful common areas however, we did have a negative experience. We booked a corner view room, upon entry the bed wasn’t made. We expressed our concerns and were relocated to a different room. In the new room the AC was broken. We asked to be switched to a different room or have a fan brought up. Front desk suggested we door dashed a fan, as there was nothing they could do for us. Will not be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless—we initially thought we’d just be dropping off our bags, but to our delight, a room was already available for us. The hotel itself has a chill, relaxed vibe and is impeccably clean, making for a very comfortable experience. Rosalie, the downstairs restaurant, was a highlight. Despite being slightly understaffed, the service was still prompt and efficient. The food was excellent, and the chic décor added to the ambiance, making for a great dining experience. Our room was clean and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, a few design choices weren’t quite to our taste. The bathroom had a glass wall with a curtain, which wasn’t our preferred style, and there was no hair dryer provided. We also weren’t big fans of the toiletries. Additionally, the open-style closet didn’t offer much privacy for storage. Overall, the positives far outweighed the minor drawbacks, and we truly enjoyed our time here. A great option for those looking for a stylish, clean, and relaxing stay!

The property is beautiful and guest services / staff were amazing. I spoke to everyone from the front desk to the valet casually and often. I enjoyed lounging in the lobby area and the bar. The pizza was good but it was rather large for one person so I recommend people plan to share. The coffee shop is a must!!! I started my days with an iced caramel macchiato. Again the service is 10 out 10. I didn’t use the complimentary car service but they did offer it. They drop you off anywhere within a 2 mile radius. They offer valet parking but I found it pricey but it’s convenient for those who rented a car or drove in. You also have the option to park in the public parking space across the street. The rooms are huge! So spacious. Clean. Modern. My only issue was that they do not have a vending machine or store on the property. So for those who may have flown in late, please know the restaurant will most likely be closed and you would need to find a nearby store to grab a snack or other items. You can also order from uber which is what I did.

We enjoyed our stay for our anniversary! We like to have coffee in our room from the in room coffee pot and ours was missing but they replaced it with a different one. Our mini fridge didn't work as well but we didnt make a big deal of it.

Hotel was really easy. Valet was great and the bar was perfect. Looked like some good food options too. Big shout out to the coffee shop in the morning. The barista was always so positive and fun to chat with.

It was ok, nothing spectacular. Valet service could improve l, we waited quite a while for our vehicle then they called us in the middle of the night multiple times because they left the keys in the vehicle.

Very noisy Poor customer service

I felt as though this hotel did not meet the expectations that I have for the Curio Collection. The best way I can describe it is to compare it to one of those “luxury” apartments. It looks nice in photos, but once you’re there, you can tell it’s just a facade. Our room (1508) had fairly large stains on the sofa, so we weren’t comfortable sitting there. The room overall could use a good deep cleaning. There was also had no chair despite the photos showing one. The restaurant menu was extremely limited. The staff, however, were very kind and helpful. We also liked the shuttle service, but the system for getting them to pick you up needs to be revisited. Certainly not my favorite property and I would not stay there again.

Overall it was a great stay. A couple of things valet is pretty expensive at $62 a night. The room was average, no issue just things like light fixtures need updating, mini fridge old and seems to be out of place sitting on floor next to bed. The mattress in #1202 needs to be replaced, it does not have any support and very worn. Extra pillow and blanket in closet would be nice. But the hotel experience was good just needs to update a few things.

I enjoyed my stay at this location. The location was great as stores and restirants were easily accessable. The front staff was amazing Miss Kayla and Marisol were so welcoming and lovely young ladies. Wonderful personality and bright welcoming smiles.

Valet staff was HORRIBLE. Extremely unorganized and had no sense of urgency. BUT room is extremely nice and clean. The hotel is extremely nice. Front desk staff was just ok; they didn’t tell me I had a daily credit of $20 to use for the restaurant or coffee shop that I couldn’t get back or use on my last day… they did not tell me until I checked out. Would stay here again just because the rooms are nice.

Started out not good. We booked two queen beds and the gave us a king. It was 4 of us running in the Houston Hot Chocolate Race the next morning. The young man at the desk said he couldn’t do anything. Finally this woman I guess over heard us and she stepped in. She said it was our mistake and please give me some time. I waited patiently and she got it resolved! What a blessing that was! I wish I would have got her name. I went down the next morning and asked but no one knew who I was talking about. Definitely stay again!

Really nice and modern hotel, lobby and bar are beautiful. The have a free ride with in a 3 mile radius. They drive you in a tesla X.

Great vibe, loud toilets.

It was a great stay. This may seem like a small, weird thing… but the toilets were extremely loud. All night I could hear toilets flushing on our floor.

Horrible experience. Had all my stuff taking from room & no one seems to have known where it went. We will never stay here again.

During my stay there was an issue with a water outage. I had to go to work without a shower. Although the water was restored it impacted my morning. No response was received from management just an attendant at the desk taking room number of those who complained. No follow up, nothing for the inconvenience. So definitely a disappointing stay.

Beautiful aesthetics

A one night stay, was very limited for the price. Ended up getting charged for food & beverage but all food and beverage were closed during my stay. Would not recommend, better off going to Marriot Marquis as its very superior and has better everything.

Nice and classy hotel

I like the location; it is very safe and walkable to some restaurants and parks. It is in the heart of downtown, a very sophisticated part of downtown. The hotel is beautiful and clean. However, I got no sleep for two nights of my four-night stay. A huge fraternity and sorority party was held right next to me, with loud music and loud people. I reported it to the front desk the next morning. The staff apologized and said they would reach out to the manager, but I received no call or apology from the manager. I mean, two nights back to back. Also, there is a mandatory $80 fee called "Destination"—be careful. Maybe use it for parking if you have a car, just for one night. The remaining 15 , get a drink ir snack at the bar. If you order to the room, there is a 10$ service fees. They charge $65 a night for parking. There is parking right across the street from the hotel for $35 a night. The nightly fee is too high to charge an additional mandatory fee of $80. That's a scam. But the hotel is clean and beautiful.

Loved the location and the cleanliness.

This hotel was stunning and the room was clean and cozy. My only complaint is that when I woke up on the last night of my stay to use the restroom (around 6am) the water was not working in my room at all. By the time I woke up a few hours later it was running again but ran brown in both the toilet and sink for a minute or so until it ran clear again.

Hotel service, valet in particular was okay. However, bed sheets, bathroom, and general room cleanliness was terrible. Rooms are generally run down and overall pricing is high for the quality of room. Furniture was stained, and overall just not thought out in terms of design and cleanliness.

Beautiful lobby bar. Service was rather curt but was prompt. Dinner menu at Rosalie’s was not extensive, price for me; pizza with three toppings was $26.00. I was ok, but nothing to write home about. Room large, comfortable. Was lacking an ice bucket, called desk, said they’d send one up. After 30 minutes, had not arrived & I had an appointment. It was there when I returned, unknown how long it actually took to arrive. Shampoo, body wash etc were just ok. Mattress was comfortable, pillows and linens were very nice. No alarm clock. Mini fridge was a joke, hard to even explain it…it was in a drawer. Valet parking was $$ and didn’t see any option for self-park. Realllly disliked that they add a resort fee. Get it back if you purchase food or drink, but this wasn’t any type of resort to me…didn’t even have a pool. Safe, quiet area…I had a lovely view of a parking garage lol. Overall ok…stayed because it was a short walk to Hobby Center, but do not think I’d return.

I had a great stay for my birthday at the C. Baldwin. The lobby and bar is so aesthetic. Their complimentary drink and breakfast were amazing!! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Was not the quality I expected, one of the rooms made me itch when I got into the bed . Had to ask to change rooms . Hotel restaurant was very slow and the food was not the best

Insane Prices

This was all about location. The room was way over priced and they charge you $20 per day including the day you check out just becuase it's a "luxury" hotel. They do take that $20 off any room service bill which has a $10 delivery and 25% gratuity added.

Not luxury, do not let the pictures fool you

The hotel advertises as luxury but is far from luxury. The lobby is nice but it stops there. The room was very small and not well kept and cleaned well for the luxury price. The walls were extremely thin. We were woken up by the people in the room next door around 2AM and it sounded like they were doing drugs - we could hear their conversation so clear as if they were in our room! The WORST hotel experience of my life. Extremely ghetto.

I loved this property and the surrounding neighborhood. The decor and artwork in the lobby were top notch. I was very happy with the comfort of the bed and the staff was attentive. I'd definitely coming back.

Rude and dismissive

The front desk staff were consistently rude and very dismissive. The rooms have no microwaves, or iron/ironing boards. We were met with attitudes by the front desk employees when we asked for any assistance.

The room was hot. Even turning on the air conditioner it was still hot. Walls are very thin. Can hear couples in their rooms. Snack area on the halls was just an ice machine no vending. Parking was very confusing and time consuming. Better to park your own vehicle on the garage instead of waiting in a crowded area

Overall we had a great stay! The valet service was really great, Solanna, Michael, and CJ were very attentive and made everything a breeze. They got out cars in and out with no problems during our stay. I will stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean, and I loved the candy bar in the lobby at night. My only complaints are that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant before the airport because there was no one there and no signs that it was closed, and that the bathroom does not feel private enough from the rest of the room.

Staff members were so nice and helpful but I was promised birthday items for my sister when we checked in on Friday. They never came so I spoke to the front desk they apologized and said they would send them up but again it never came. I was really disappointed
