Best hotel in Moncton!

We loved our suite and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice clean pool. Good breakfast. Central location for shopping.

First time staying at Best Western Plus in Moncton. Pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet our stay was. Excellent space for breakfast. Cute little set up. Oh and coffee was perfectly prepared! We will definitely stay here again, and recommend this hidden gem to our friends and family. Well done staff and management.

Staff wasn’t really present, there was many many many kids there and 0 towels for the pool, asked for more towels and they never brought them. There was some garbage at the head of the bed wedged between the bed and end table left from the last person

We did not have Time to enjoy our stay ! We arrived late because of the Snow storm and My son had an appointment with his oncologist! The staff was friendly and courteous! The breakfast was delicious and fast!

I loved the room with the jacuzzi it's a must for All and very clean

The pool was very cold. Our double queen room was good but our friends booked a king suite and it was awful. The room was dirty and the couch was made of pleather and was peeled beyond repair. The fridge was sat on a broken shelf that kept tilting. The pull out couch was awful and littered with popcorn and stains when you pulled out into a bed. It also didnt fit properly and therefore hit the entertainment centre which left scratches and marks all over the front of the unit. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: -some staff were kind and helpful, although the majority were not -the one staff member doing the breakfast was great -location is good -free parking -bed was comfy Cons: -dark hallways, dark rooms -rooms need updating/fixing. the couch in my room was pathetic. the leather (pleather?) was peeling so bad and there was a cheap cover over it that didn’t stay on. The wood furniture was scratched and banged up. I can understand this couch in someone’s garage or basement, and I understand it still “works”… but my goodness. Not in a hotel room. -no change rooms in pool, no towels in pool. what a pain when taking two young kids to a pool area -cleanliness was minimal, at best. for example in our room the areas under the furniture, the walls, and switches/outlets were filthy. The curtains were stained. Just a lot of inattention to real cleanliness -some of the lamps didn’t work -first world problems, but awful tvs. Glad I took my fire stick lol. Overall nothing was incredibly awful, just a lot of small annoyances and things that turned me off. I don’t recommend staying here and I won’t be back.

Easy check in

The suites were great option to share with family, separate bedroom and pull out sofa offered privacy.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean, but we had a room very close to the front desk and right beside the elevator. The elevator motor was noisy and annoying to hear the entire stay and, the room was very small compared to other hotels we've stayed at, and the pool was nothing special. I would still stay here again, but would probably request a different room.

I think the cost of the rooms is a bit high given how dated it is, room was cleaned very well before our stay (dirty sock under the table). Pool is very outdated and musty smelling.

Great spot to stop. Convenient laundry facilities. Only draw back was that no one informed us ahead of time that our 2nd floor room was actually ground floor as they had another floor lower that you cannot see from front of hotel.

Convenient central location. Very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was pretty good, and well managed by the staff.

Clean and service

While the room was fine, and livable, it is absolutely not what we expected for over 500$ for two nights in an “upgraded” room booked a month in advance. We killed 4 large spiders and there were multiple flies in the room as well as the room had an odour of marijuana when we arrived. We had a door to leave the building from our suite, while a nice feature was covered in scuff marks and dirt and you had to slam it hard to make sure it locked. The air conditioner in the bedroom had mold clearly present and lastly the internet was so slow we ended up using data hot spots on our phones to access internet. The area also does not seem the safest, lots of boarded up windows and sirens at night.

Location was super convenient. And the staff were so helpful and friendly

Tori at reception was absolutely amazing. Hotel.com messed up my reservations and Tori got it all straightened out for us. Food was good. We enjoyed our stay considering.

Not happy at all

The front desk/receptionist was not so friendly at all. No greetings or smile when we arrived and looked at us as another job she needs to take. There was a problem in my card and she assumed that there was insufficient funds. Tried my card again and it was okay. I just found it rude to assume that somebody else's card has insufficient funds when it was declined. And having other people hear it is just as embarrassing. The room assigned to us was not clean, used the sofa bed and a bunch of old crumbs was hiding inside. The sofa bed needs replacement too because the leather cover was coming off. The fridge was also dripping.

I was on the first floor & I found the hallway noisy

Pool was freezing, breakfast was a preselected and minimal buffet. Staff was very unhelpful. Handicap parking is very minimal (2 spots)

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My kids enjoyed the pool and hot chocolate option on the coffee machine at breakfast.

Lovely hotel. Great for our stay in Moncton. Only downside was that the cable tv in the room kept cutting out.

it was close to shopping.....the television did not work all the time....cutting in and out all the time....toilet had trouble flushing

Was there for a short stay. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

The front desk clerk that I dealt with was great. The other lady was on the phone asking “if any safes in the hotel “actually” worked - I would imagine if a safe was important to someone that that statement would be jarring. The morning desk clerk was great as well

The staff was very helpful and friendly

The room plumbing was clogged. However, staff did come and take care of it. Staff not very approachable.

We have been there many times and always returning.

Had an excellent stay and the staff was amazing will definitely be staying there again!

Unwanted roommate

I'm not the type of person to leave negative reviews but my first night I was working at the desk in my room and saw a mouse run from bedside table to behind the tv furniture. I freaked out and went to the lobby to let them know. I couldn't stay in that room and it was late at night so I decided to stay that night. The receptionist was surprised to hear my story and was very accommodating. She put me on the highest level of floor and told me she would put a note for the morning to have their pest control person to come in. My second room was ok, didn't see any mouse but had the reflex of looking behind the tv cabinet and saw mouse traps. I was supposed to stay two nights, but I barely slept (multiple factors, the mouse, work, traveling) and told this to a friend and decided to go stay with her instead for my second night. I was encouraged by friends to let other travellers know of this issue. Don't leave any food out and close all your bags when you can... The bed was comfy but my mind was not at ease

Very comfortable with friendly staff. We liked the close proximity to the mall and Tidal Bore Park, easy walking distance of 30 minutes or less. Stairwell door to lobby needs signage reminding to guests to open it slowly. My husband was almost knocked over by someone barging through. Area behind the hotel looks quite untidy - old mattress and other garbage left behind creates an unsightly appearance. Wonder if the are any plans for this area?

From the moment we got there til we left our stay was overall positive.

Amazing staff.

Went with a hockey team. One room had two mice, another room had balls of hair all through the bed, another room the tub wouldn’t drain because of all the hair in the drain, blood splattered on one of the room’s walls. Also everyone had cold showers, and a lot of the deadbolts on the doors wouldn’t lock. Will never consider staying there again

Brought a team to stay at this hotel. Between the mice, stained walls(appeared to be blood), hair in bed, smelly duvets and drains that wouldn’t drain it proved to be a pretty terrible stay. A refund was not even offered to the man and his wife who found 2 mice in there room. Won’t be staying again.

No hot water due to an issue the hotel was aware of, and no appologies, no information until we informed then. Was told they did not know, but when compensation was requested, front desk confirmed they knew since the Friday that the issue would not be fixed until the Monday. Freezing pool. House keeping lacked changing soiled sheets, and made the bed with the sheets. Was not our first time there, but with so many other choices around, this is not the kind of service I have to deal with.

Check-in was quick and painless, beds were comfy, bathrooms clean. Breakfast was great and well-tended. My only complaint is there was no hot water for the shower on Saturday morning (downright frigid and unpleasant) and Sunday morning (tolerable, but not great), which made not a great start to either day.

The property is really starting to show it’s age. Had stayed in this same room pre Covid. Always liked the layout. The couch has tears and leather wear on the backs and cushions. We heard running water all evening like there was a leak but after several attempts to find the source but could not find it. We realize that with Covid some things can get overlooked but these rooms do need some updating. Cleaning practices could be a bit more attentive.

Carpeting in the rooms was wet and dirty, we had to wear our sneakers the entire stay. Staff were not helpful or friendly at all.

Overall pretty good, the parfait machine was broken which we look forward to! Other than that it was great!

The room was stinking when I got inside. And the bedsheets were dirty as well.

Curtains literally shredded full length in several places on panel , toilet not working in check in , food particles in microwave,visable hole in bed skirt and room pine not working to calm front desk .

Beware of incidental charges

Stay was good. Was only there to sleep during a concert so didn’t make use of amentities. Overall all was good except they tried billing me $100 as someone spilled a milkshake on the bed, not impressed as things do happen and we went to pick up new sheets. Never have experienced this before. Won’t be returning.

Much of hotel us updated with a modern design but some areas are like others say dated. That doesn't mean dirty though this hotel is immaculate. If clean is your thing have no worries

The hotel was very centrally located, very convenient for the Moncton University stadium, as only a couple km walk and just across the road from Champlain place. Overall, very pleased with the hotel. A bit dated and bathroom was a bit run down but would stay there again.

One night trip

We had an awesome stay at the hotel. Although we stayed for a night only and for less than 12 years, the kids enjoyed it.

Room was too muggy, light on smoke detector was too bright. Feet were dirty from the floor.

Very convenient right off the highway.

Continental breakfast staff was not professional.

This is my go-to spot in Moncton. Has been for approx 8 years !

We booked this property for the pool which was a little smaller than expected but okay. What we didn’t know was that they don’t clean or make up rooms unless you book it ahead of time and I think costs money. Also was hoping to use the laundry services but they were not available. We are a 4 person family but they only provided 2 sets of toiletries and towels so we had ask for these at the desk. Breakfast was great, staff are really nice.

Staff are precessional. Room and all stuff are tidy and clean. Very convenient to restaurant, grocery store and high way. The only disappointed thing is a real fire alarm triggered by some smoke at very early morning. Generally very satisfied place.

We had a very comfortable and restful stay at the best Western in Louisville. Really enjoyed swimming in the pool in the convenience of being close to my family.

We were very happy with this hotel with the exception of being jarred awake at 4:30am due to the fire alarm and then standing outside in the misting rain for half an hour while firefighters attended to the situation. I do not blame the hotel for this, and if anything, I’m pleased to know the system was in good working order. Unfortunately, we did have a cooler stolen from our vehicle overnight, but again I do not blame the hotel for this, but instead my husband for not securing the item in the cab of the truck. Very happy with our room, the pool, and continental breakfast.

The room needed some TLC The deadbolt on the door would not work and the exterior curtains were torn and the bathroom door was dragging on the floor.

Warm the pool up.

No problems about the hotel but when the pool is so cold your kids don’t want to swim, it reduces the rating a lot.

Nice hotel with clean well appointed rooms. Breakfast was very good. Would be nice if they trimmed bushes near parking lot entrance as it comes up quick and easy to miss pulling in as there is only one chance.
