It was exactly what we expected it was great but the television was on in the room once turned off could not turn it back on but other than that it was great brkfst was great

Your upkeep and maintenance is superbe. I was extremely surprised at the quality of my room and the over all property. There seemed to be a few items on the common floor that were left for more than a day. One item was a child's sock. Another was some trash outside. Breakfast is bland- your sausage patties have a lot to be desired. Maybe change it up every other day? Yes, I would go back, but not for the breakfast.

The property was super clean and updated which I absolutely loved.. let’s not forget the staff.. they are truly rockstars, they were very accommodating and really nice. My only is was one of the back doors had a issue with the lock and my key didn’t work… this was an inconvenience because it was FREEZING and the only parking available was in the back of the building and the door was locked so you had to walk around to the front of the building.. ouch!! Otherwise the entire place is definitely worthy of a repeat trip when I return to Houston.

I loved it very comfortable and convenient

We stayed in Houston for the Houston Thanksgiving Turket Trot. The reviews had us worries but it was one night. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean it was and quiet. Staff was also friendly and the breakfast was quite nice as well. The bed was also very comfortable would stay there again if we need to stay in Houston in the future.

Bugs in room

The lady at check in was so kind and pleasant.

The smoke alarms for the whole hotel were going off all night, every 20-30 mins. We hardly slept at all and the front desk person refused to even give us a discount! They said it was because the power from the hurricane had just come back on the day before, but that still doesn't excuse their rude attitude towards us. Finally after arguing with the manager, she agreed to give us a $20 credit, but Expedia tried multiple times to reach her so they could verify and issue the credit, and she never was available to take Expedia's calls. We used to stay at this hotel every 3 months for business, but no longer.

Terrible checking in

They gave us a wrong room and later changed another room but wasted our time that was nearly for an hour.

Not that good no hot water at noght

I didn’t find out until I checked into the property that the elevator was not working due to the hurricane yet my room was on the third floor. The room was clean but a little dated..So I thought. After spending night 1 there, at the beginning of night 2, I walked around the bed to see a roach crawling where the pillows were. I spoke with a wonderful young lady, Courtney at the front desk who informed me that there were no Available rooms to move me to. I kindly told her I would be checking out. She offered half-price for that night, but would speak with the manager about refunding the full amount for that night. As of right now, I’ve been charged half a day for one hour after check in time when the only reason checked out was due to a roach crawling on my bed.

Pleased with our stay.

The hotel was pretty clean, we stayed in the first floor not too noisy. Check in was smooth, lots of parking available, nice big clean convinience store right next to it, perfect!

The management and rooms was outstanding. They was very attentive to our needs. I will definitely book with bestwestern again!

Great stay as always

Property was clean. Breakfast was okay, nothing to write home about. Hotel is in a “towel shortage” and wants you to keep the same towels the whole stay which was annoying due to me taking several baths/showers a day. Staff was nice, friendly. Overall i enjoyed my stay.

Trip to MD

Houston has over 300,000 homes without electricity because of recent storms so Hotel was sold out. Because of this the staff is stressed. The beds are very hard.

Beds are extremely uncomfortable, WiFi was down, and breakfast was lackluster. Staff were great!

Staff has terrible attitude complaing they are short staffed. Had a terrible incident where staff walked into room at night while i was in bed.

Smelt like smoke everywhere and the bed was very itchy

We stayed Sunday through Tuesday, we had to check in three times before they had any available “clean rooms” and the lobby smelled like weed! And then when we get to room the room smelled like moldy wet carpet and still had trash in drawers, dirty socks under bed, roach in the drawer where the tv sat on, it was a complete mess! There was also no towels in bathroom, Ice machine did not work, we were on the second floor and the elevator was out of service. And I guess they don’t do maid service because the second night we stayed I had to ask for towels again! Definitely would never recommend anyone staying here, pay a little extra and go stay at the Hilton! And there is about three gentleman clubs down the street, wouldn’t recommend for families! A lot of commotion at night, just disgusting!

Ok for a 1-night stay, everything is pretty dated & there was a subtle moisture smell in the room and property.

Love the workers

I absolutely love the people that work there. They are very friendly and nice. It is bad that the ice machine is still down and i still have trouble using the key cards on the outside doors trying to get back inside.

Just ask

Even though I was upset with some minor over look things. From the bathroom being lock to the $100 deposit for a Hot tub suite. The main ice machine was not working. The front desk had a bag of ice waiting. The front desk also came through to unlock the bathroom door. What the building lack, the staff made up for it with quick friendly service!

Convenient if you need to do some errands in Houston. Close to Galleria, but less expensive than Galleria hotels. A good option for a breve stay.

The rooms are very outdated and dirty. Lots of prostitution. The doors are locked after 9pm so if u forget your key u might have to wait in the cold or heat until a staff members wakes up from a nap. They lock the entrance at the back so if u have to park at the back be ready to walk to the front with all your belongings. Horrible hotel

The name BW “Galleria” led me to believe that hotel was in Galleria area. It was not and was surrounded by adult stores & strip clubs. We didn’t even check in. Pulled in parking lot & preceded to book a hotel in the real Galleria area. Did not appreciated being misled. Glad it was after dark when I arrived.

Fast check in with the sweetest staff member. Room was very clean.

The room was spacious and accommodating. Unfortunately the room had a lingering, foul odor. The staff was on point and attentive.

Old facilities

The breakfast is the best part of our stay. The breakfast room is clean and the food is delicious. There is no daily cleaning service. Cleaning is only once a week. So we dumped the garbage ourselves every day and changed towels every two days. If they can provide every other day cleaning would keep the place cleaner. The hotel carpet can use a shampoo clean too. The door locks are old . We have to reprogram the keys every day in order to open the doors. We almost missed our flight home because we got locked out after breakfast on the last day. The front desk person couldn’t open the door for almost an hour. It was early in the morning at 6 AM and the maintenance man works from 8 AM. That really made us panic! By 7 am, I grabbed a customer from the breakfast room to helped us and he managed to kick open the door! The back door to the parking lot didn’t work half of the time! The facility needs some updates! The employees are very friendly and super supportive!

Room are outdated and need a upgrade. They had a smell of moisture that I could not shake. Also seen a few bugs crawling around. Nonetheless the older staff were nice.

The night staff wasn't very helpful but the morning staff was much better. It sits near a strip club and according to the night guy the limited availability was due to people straggling in from the bars.

Stains and tears all over floors, filthy sofas, white spots, spills and stains on sofa. Jacuzzi did not work properly, no pressure no bubbles. Had to wear shoes j8st to walk to the bathroom. Was thankful i was allowed a refund.

I had to go to my car last night and the police were sitting outside. I’m not sure what was going on, but the hotel y also between two strip clubs.

I like that the area was close to anything one may have needed. I didn’t like how rude housekeeping was and the fact that getting clean towels with no stains or tears was a job within itself. I will NOT stay there again.

Rooms should be cleaned daily. Stayed for 3 nights and not once was my room cleaned. Breakfast should have a wider variety (add ham, bacon, some people don't eat eggs)

Not to bad, room looked good. Water pressure could be stronger. A/C had a rattling noise. Not enough to complain to the front desk, this could have been reported by house keeping.

Nightmare Hotel Stay

The First impression was good but that ended after few hours. the place smelled like Marijuana every place we went ( elevator and Hall way ) TV in the bedroom was Dark and no way to fix it. we put service on the door and it was never serviced when we asked why they said it was too late and we should have had to arranged it. when they cut the water there was no prior notice. My wife was in the shower with shampoo on her hair and she comes out crying with eyes burning that there is no water its been cut off, and then slowly there was only cold water. when she call the reception they said it will be out for 2 hours which is unacceptable.

Hotel was clean. Front desk staff friendly. The location is convenient to central Houston. The immediate area around the hotel however is strip clubs and pawn shops.

It is pricy for what it offers

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was nice. Ended kinda early on weekdays (9am) but good other than that. Great restaurant right across the street and a large convenient store right next door. Property was quiet amd clean. Had an amazing experience.

Prostitutes in and around this hotel. Bars and strip clubs all around. Not a safe feeling or family friendly area. We were happy to check out and leave after two nights.

Friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered!

A cordial environment with ready to help staff. However, the fittings in the hotel rooms are not modern. Absence of USB and USBC charging ports etc. I enjoyed my stay.

Accommodations average. Staff friendly, tho. Unable to print boarding passes for next day's flight as the business room's computer was not connected to the printer next to it. Inexcusable. Need more electric outlets--only 1 plug between beds so if both need CPAPs, they need to get a multistrip. Guests in next room had loud TV into the night--not hotel's fault, but did contribute to decreased enjoyment.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel! The staff is beyond courteous and respectful at all times. This location is a perfect location as it is across the street from Johnny Dang’s fine jewelry and the manager her name is J’Cinda I was extremely courteous and helpful at all times. I wish she was available to work for one of my companies five stars all the way I will be a lifetime customer

It was my 1st year anniversary, and when I say my stay was an amazing STAY!!!! From the service of checking in to the helpfulness of housekeeping. Very clean facility, Definitely will be our go to hotel when in the area!!!
