Very unique, great location to escape a day in the city, property needs to be maintain a little bit more
Had a great stay and the communication was amazing
Property had a great view, tents were nicely spaced away from each other for privacy, bathrooms were clean and worked well.
Better signage is needed for people to find a location.
The view was GORGEOUS!!! It was nice to have power and a shower. It was nice not to have someone there watching over us and being babysat. I didn't like that they charge you $20 bucks for a small bundle of wood. Really! We did have these little black bugs in our tent but they must not like the cold at night cause by the time we went to bed, they were gone. Do bring a sleeping bag. PS. You're on your own like camping, have to figure things out. It was nice to sleep in a bed,in a tent. GLAMPING!!!😁😁😁 my new way of camping for me.
The location was ideal for day trips/hikes around the area. It was quiet and relaxing. Will definitely stay again!
We were very disappointed staying at your tent last night. First, we can’t take a shower or use the bathrooms due to no running water. Second, the entrance of the #4 tent has a big hole, so the rain came down through the hole. Third, we got the tent switched without a notice . Forth, The propane already been used from the tent #6 and your staff didn’t seem to understand and didn’t feel responsible to what happened. I tried to called to contact your staffs and no one pick up the phone. Please contact me back
Lovely experience... absolutely stunning waking up to the views. Bathrooms ran great, beer garden was awesome, volleyball area, picnic tables and the atv rides really was cherry on top!
Do not stay here! We had an absolute awful experience. We actually went to a different accommodation the next night and did not return here. They don't answer their phones, it was freezing at night and they didn't give us adequate bedding, bedding was disgusting and floors were soaking wet so our bedding got wet and we couldn't put anything down. Horrible!
It was a great experience, even though it was an extremely cold night! Beautiful property and surroundings!
Great Couple Getaway!
I really liked our little getaway for my husband's birthday! We got there when we wanted with no check in and was able to leave when we needed. They had firewood, lamps, and a grill when we arrived. The only downside was neighbors who played really loud music from 8-11pm while we were trying to sleep :(
It is a beautiful location. Its a great idea having the tents installed and not having to mess with your own gear. However, we got there the bed was not made. The zippers on the tent dis not work properly. We had to buy the firewood provided that was way too expensive, and we could not burn our own firewood.
Terrible communication. Zero help in changing my reservation. They took my money and completely ignored my attempts to cancel my booking. I can’t even believe you allow them to book through you. At one point I called to discuss and a kid answered the phone which was his personal cell phone!!!
This place was a wonderful experience, the views when waking up were really great as well as the stars at night. the bathrooms had a nice touch as well! Will be back!
bathrooms were great for being camping, views were incredible. Highly Recommend!
Our family had a wonderful time here, temperatures were a bit chilly but overall it was a great stay, beds were comfortable, tents were spaced great for enough privacy from other campers, bathrooms were amazing as well!
Beautiful place, bad experience
The tent and bed where ok but during winter you really need a carpet and more covers. Until we were there they offered a heater for $15.00 extra per night and it didn’t even last for the whole night. The bathroom were discusting, we reported them the first night to the guy who delivered the heaters and by text/calls to the hotel but at 10am next day they hadn’t showed up, so all of us had to move to a nearby hotel and couldn’t complain to anyone! It’s a shame because the place is so beautiful, they really need someone there like a front desk.
Enjoyed the seclusion, yet conveniently close to anything you’ll need. Great views, stargazing, dog friendly, bathrooms, hot showers with a view, spaciest and clean tents, cozy atmosphere, peaceful. Highly recommend!
Amazing place! Great staff, really nice accomdations for a campsite, views were incredible!
The views were absolutely amazing! Beds were very confortable, clean and the tents were spacious. Each campsite has a nice firepit with 2 chairs and a bbq grill which is a nice touch, the bathrooms were very clean and modern. Will definitely be back to stay again in the warmer months!
the staff was very friendly and accommodatin, haven't yet been clamping yet so this was my first time, the place was setup great and the bathrooms were amazing. would stay here again!
the stars were stunning at this place, really amazing area in Hildale, it got really cold and the bathrooms from but an employee came by to rectify it immediately and it was fixed in no time,
our family and dogs really enjoyed our stay here, camping with a bed and nice bathrooms is really different! would definitely recommend staying here!
stayed here with my family, really great place to hangout and chill with your family and look at the stars, was a bit chilly in December so if u plan to book around winter time just make sure to pack warm but overall had a really great time!
Amazing place! Beds were very comfortable, tent was clean, bathrooms were really great and views were out of this world!
Great place! Very clean and comfortable tents, definitely will be back
This location is impeccable, i have never been to a campsite this well though out and beautiful! The accommodations were great aswell as the staff!
This place is amazing! The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the stars and views were incredible! I would definitely recommend staying here, will be back soon!
The campsite was amazing! The ciews were incredible, the tent was super spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and bathrooms were clean and very nice! I would absolutely recommend booking this place if you plan on staying near Zions! Will be back soon!
Terrible. Tent collapsed!
I had a really bad experiance staying this place. The tent was collapsed in the middle of night due to heavy snow. I could be killed. I got out of the tent and stayed in my car for several hours. I contacted to the owner and asked for refund. He agreed and apologized but he never refund nor text back again avoiding my call. So bad attitude.
Worst Response and too costly for the facility.
We were travelling with Kids and had requested the tent near to the rest room. The blankets were not sufficient during November Winter and we did not carry extra blankets so we ditched the stay and went to near by hotel ... They charged cleaning fees even when we did not stay. There is no onsite person/contact whom we can request any thing. Any call to contact were unanswered. They did not even bother to call back to confirm or check in.
Great place, nice land with a view. I think access is very easy all the way up to tent, arrived there at night without any problem. The management contacted me by email a day before with confirmation and directions. The only thing I thought would need a slight bit of improvement is cleaning up the few small bits that people leave around after they leave, such as crinkled bits of paper that gets carried around woth the wind. Overall 5 stars sleeping experience and location
Bulls***
Horrible experience! Arrived and received a text that we were fine to not check in and head straight to our tent. Upon arriving the location was nice until we unloaded and realized that the tent would not zip up. I attempted on several occasions to text and let them know about our tent not closing and wind blowing inside of the tent the whole night. We ended up having to build something in front of the door to keep the cold wind out. On the morning of next night, I attempted again to reach out to someone without any contact with anyone. We will never stay here again. Our final night it rained entire tent was wet inside flooding all of our belongings. Still no response from anyone. I have attached pictures!! Do not stay here!!
Nothing like the pictures on line! We ended up driving to a hotel. There was nothing in the tent but a dirty bed and two dirty pillows. They charge 20.00 for fire wood and there was 6 12 inch 2x4s which is about an hour of firewood. They will not refund my money. This place is a total scam!
It was such a beautiful stay.
Bed was clean and very comfy, we paid the $20 for firewood and it supplies was there when we arrived. The view is beautiful in the morning
Really enjoyed the stay. Amazing location and great facilities. Would definitely stay again
An Amazing Experience
An amazing experience... So wrll maintained in the middle of no where.. Restrooms are so hugenic and regularly looked after.. Barbeque is the most amazing experience.. Beds are perfect.. Above all the sky is just so beautiful from here.. Everyone should try this beautiful experience.. Thanks to Zion Camping Management..
Very lovely stay, bathroom facilities are awesome and working great, Amazing views as the pictures show, staff was very friendly, check in super easy, scenic drive to Zion. Thank you!
open desert camping
This is open desert camping, no trees. They charged my debit card when I made the reservation and charged me again the day I camped, which I didn't find out about until I got home and checked my account. Luckily, no automatic payments were due that day or I would have been overdrawn.
A mess
We received a text message with our tent number earlier in the day but when driving up there, someone was in our tent... we call the number on the text, no answer and then see a guy working on the bathrooms, when asked if he worked there he says he is “one of the brothers” he calls another brother and offers us another tent. We go up there put our stuff in and come back down to shower, on returning there is another couple at our new tent who says the tent is theirs.... with “another” of one of the brothers.... This one takes no responsibility in this mess and says he is going to call his brother, we assume the same guy who made the mistake already. He calls and then looks at us and says “ who will stay here?” I mean honestly! As we were already in the tent we stayed and the other couple goes with this guy to see if any tents are open... not sure they got someplace to sleep or not. It was a crazy mess. Apparently that couple earlier was told the camp was full, except the tent we were in. To add to it, In the morning the water stopped working and the toilets stank up it all. I would not recommend to stay here, the tent idea is sweet but the overall staff is a mess and our neighbor lost control of their fire in the wind in the middle of the night and cause chaos with flames everywhere. As I said a crazy mess.
The location and the view are amazing! We experienced issues with the restrooms not being cleaned and not having tissue paper. The new restrooms were available when we there, Memorial Day weekend.
It was an amazing experience. Although the place is still being worked up and bathroom facility was not that great. But since we just bunch of guys we didn't mind it. But I think it will be better with time.
There is no check in they just give you a tent number and ask you if you want to spend $20 on wood for the evening. I texted asked a question and they didn’t answer. Nothing about where to put the garbage or what not. We arrived in the dark so had no clue and stored it in the car. Ps take a light there is no lantern in the room as was noted
Although no one responded to my email, text, or voicemail in the days leading up to my reservation, I appreciated a text message on the day of giving me my tent number and an exact address, as well as information on firewood. The firewood offered was $20 for the night. We elected to buy our own at Home Depot prior to going. Check in was at 4 (not 5 as listed on the Expedia confirmation). The firewood guy didn’t come around until 7ish, so we were glad we brought own own. He was very nice and even fixed our tent number that had fallen. My biggest gripe is that the indoor bathrooms and shower were not complete. Originally they were to be completed on April 16. When that deadline wasn’t met, they assured me “in a few days” and changed their website to April 25. We stayed on May 10 and still not completed. Our porta potty was very accessible and clean. The bed was SO comfortable and I slept great, but I was glad we brought extra pillows and blankets. In the room was a mattress with bedding. It was not a hotel style bed as “Glamping” suggests, but a good mattress. Also was a small table, a rug, and a small lantern attached to the pole. The fire pit was so shallow that I was a little afraid to build my fire. I took one of the two small square boards (that were intended for out entryway into the tent) and dug the fire pit a little deeper. It worked well. I did not see a place to take our trash when we were leaving, no dumpster. Nice view. They didnt ask for the $20 cleaning fee.
Beatiful Site
Our stay was fantastic! We arrived after dark, so it was really nice to not have to set up a tent at night. The inside of the tent and bed were clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were easily accessible. Each site has a bonfire pit and grill, so cooking was easy! The sunsets were incredible!!! Zion is less than an hour away, and the drive is beautiful. The campsite is a little hard to find at night, but once we found it the first time, we had our landmarks and had no trouble after that.
Great Little Escape!
The actual location/site of the campgrounds was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful and the tents were very spacious and clean and the bed was REALLY comfortable. They had a little grill outside and a small table/chairs so it was well equipped and there were porta potties that were close to each site. It was a great little gem!!! It is about an hour from Zion which isn't bad. The only thing we didn't like about it was the town/area it was in. The only restaurant we could find in the area is Subway and there wasn't a grocery store to even get food to grill so we had to go back into AZ/Colorado City which is a very strange town and was mainly inhabited by FLDS members formally controlled by Warren Jeffs and Jessop so there are a bunch of half built, abandoned compounds throughout the area. It was pretty creepy. The campgrounds is right off Jessop Ave. However, putting that aside it's a great little spot, I would just suggest bringing plenty of food/supplies because there is very little available in the area. The photos they show are the backdrop you see from every camp site, it's absolutely stunning, and that's coming from someone born and raised in Sedona, AZ!
Would come back for the experience
Pros: Beautiful sky view, no need to set up a tent but still get the camping experience, big bed and was comfy, nice outside set up, bathrooms were very clean, they contacted us via text and responded quickly to questions, affordable. Cons: Shower is a wooden open top box with water bags heated by sunlight (only 1 was warming), for luxury camping very little light provided so bring fire wood (they said they ran out), blankets definitely had hair on them which looked like dog hair (we brought our own), desolate and not luxurious, little to no instruction given to us aside from our spot (however they replied to my questions). I would stay here again given the price and unique experience. However, I would bring more of my camping equipment including lights. Also, I would again bring my own blankets bc the ones we had did not seem washed.
Gorgeous view, couples rustic getaway
The location is exquisite, fire pit was great! The sheets of the bed most likely weren’t washed due to a to a bunch of black hairs, but better than sleeping in a sleeping bag and to be honest, the location and view is well worth it. It’d pick off the black hairs again no problem, the bed was comfortable as well!
