The room wasn’t that expensive it was in a good area to
Thank you for all the kind. I enjoyed the area a lot.
Great location. Great staff. Amazing breakfast.
This hotel was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. Air conditioning was excellent, and hot water shower was super. But by far the best thing about it was the breakfast. This was hands-down the best breakfast we had on our one-month stay in Colombia. Highly recommend.
Kleixy at the front desk was fantastic. My Spanish is very conversational, but this was my first time in Colombia (stoked), and like anywhere, different words are sometimes used. She was super patient with my practice though her English was solid. The service overall was excellent including other staff. The room was quiet, and it was within a very walkable distance of the whole historic district. The AC was pumping but the hot water could have been better. Everything was super clean. This is a solid value overall for the nightly rate.
Perfect clean the room and bathroom. I like my stay in the hotel.
Friendly and helpful manager.
Location and cleanliness
Excellent location. Within walking distance to the old city or the castillo San Felipe. Good restaurants and cafés near by. Friendly staff and breakfast included is a plus.
Perfect for the price
Small but clean room with good AC in a great location. Smooth check in and check out. Good breakfast. Can't ask for more.
Its very well located just a short walk down a nice street to the old town. Best night sleep in a month in colombia. Hot water. The lady that works here is super nice and helpful. A/C.
Quiet property, but room opens onto courtyard with no glass windows, just bars and shutters. So if you open the shutters, people passing by can see in, and if you leave them closed, it is very dark and you need the light on. Positive things : great staff, adequate breakfast, nice location, walking distance from variety of restaurants. Would recommend.
Cartagena was great
Was very nice hotel, but a little bit expensive. Had some little problem with shower, but was fixed promptly. Service was excellent.
Worth staying
Room was incredibly comfortable. There was a dead bug but that didn’t bother me. Shower was hot, air conditioning worked great , bed was super comfortable and tv was a nice touch! I also liked being in This neighborhood
Santa Lucia good choice for a modest hotel
This hotel is very over-rated. It is a very modest hotel, nothing luxurious. The location is good, about 15 minutes walking to the great sights in the city centre. The street is relatively quiet. My room had no window, but was spacious. There was no light beside the bed, so I had to turn off the light before I got into the bed. There was no hot water on the two days I stayed there, but a cold shower is not too bad, given the hot climate. The light is not strong enough to see yourself properly in the mirror. The floor is tiled. The breakfast is modest (some juice, some fruit, eggs and toast and tea or coffee, brought to you, no self-service).The service is friendly.
Lock your belongings
I believe this hotel has a petty theft problem; during my stay my Revlon tweezers, OPI nail polish, and 1 of my 4 granola bars went missing. I also noticed that one of the pockets on my travel bag was left open but it's not a pocket I ever use and I always keep it closed. If you stay here make sure EVERYTHING of yours is securely locked (in your own luggage, not in the safe) when you're out of the room. The room left a lot to be desired. It smelled the way a room would smell if you were trying to cover up the smell of mould with cleaning products. The sheets appeared clean but there were a few small dark hairs on them. The shower stall had something I believe to be sand? all over it, and there was a weird crack in the ceiling above that I think is where the sand was coming from. More hairs in the shower stall as well. Neighbourhood is great, and the hotel has a decent rooftop with a nice view. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Got here by mistake actually. The other hotel we originally booked canceled on us. But we were gladly surprise. Super clean and nice. 1st time in Getsemani We discovered that you don't need to stay in the old city. Both neighborhoods are within a couple min walking. And Getsemani has its own night life that adds more to the usual nights at Cartagena And we may repeat.
Would stay again
Great stay in the heart of Getsemani. The room was very small but comfortable. The only issue is the air conditioning was over the bed and because the room was so small I was constantly adjusting the temperature.
The shower doesn't work well and adjusting the hot and cold water is a pain!! Being a small hotel guests have to ring a bell after midnight to be let in. I could hear the bell all night...
Service is beyond what I have experienced elsewhere.
Zana Hotel Boutique is in a great location in the popular neighborhood of Getsemani. I loved that it is really close to the action without being overrun by the crowds and it's very safe. The hotel itself is very basic, but comfortable and clean with an excellent breakfast and an awesome staff. Good value! Note: Right now there is construction going on next door so there is some noise in the morning and during the day.
It's in an up and coming area. Rooftop terrace is very nice.
Just a room required for the night having flown 27000 kms in previous 3 days. Good rates, nice & tidy, & very helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast here as well. John G
Nice shower, comfy bed, good AC! The hotel is in a more local and authentic part of Cartagena which was fabulous.
Room did not have a window and smelled weird. The reservation did not say I would get a room without a window. Also wifi didn’t work the night I was there
Everything is too old:, towels, sheets, beds. No drinking water available not even to buy. Place needs to be renovated.
good
Nice Budget Hotel in Getsemani
The good: The staff is super friendly, the building was secure, and the bed was comfortable. The downside: Other than the bed the room has no furniture, no chair, no desk, no dresser, no luggage rack. Seriously, a cheap desk or table and a chair would have been great for using my laptop.
Zana Hotel
This simple but comfortable and safe hotel was perfect for my stay in Cartagena. The owner Amparo and Leidy helped me so much! My room had a bed, safe, bathroom, mirror and a place to hang my clothes. This room and hotel were VERY clean. The air conditioner in my room was perfect and I could control the temp. The neighborhood is adorable! I 100% recommend this place! Also, the hotel displays art made by people with Down syndrome. I bought a wonderful painting which I have hanging in my home! I love and support this so much!
Great staff. Great location.
Room small and basic but great staff and great location. Staff able to assist me with tours and ideas of things to do. Loved to stop at local bar on way home.
Great
great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast
Nice Hotel In Getsemani
It's a good neighborhood and nice clean place to stay. For what you get I think it was slightly over priced but I would stay here again
Great location!
This boutique hotel has a great location close to restaurants and within a ten minute walk to the historical walled city. The staff was friendly and helpful for giving directions. Our room was spacious with air conditioning and windows that opened right onto the side street. We would definitely stay here again.
Small room, lots of mosquitos, could have done with a ceiling fan. Overall ok
Good job by you billy
I enjoyed the hotel. The room is very small but I don’t mind that sort of thing. The receptionists spoke English and were very nice. The shower works with hot water. You just have to turn the hot water switch to “hot” before turning on the faucet. I didn’t try the breakfast and didn’t get a chance to use the jacuzzi. The area is very lively. Music was blaring all afternoon but was quite at night. There are restaurants in convenient stores in close proximity. The hotel is also within walking distance to centro and seems like it’s in a safe area.
Excellent location
Situated in a very quiet area, but close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well organized.
Standard room for a reasonable price
My room was a typical standard hotel room with limited space and no window. The only think I cared about was that the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, Wi-Fi was reliable, the a/c kept the room comfortable, the location was good and the rate was reasonable.
Great stay and Staff.
Great Staff and location. The room was very comfortable and clean. The AC always worked perfectly which is a big plus in Cartagena. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again. The wifi was great as well.
Great location + rooftop jacuzzi!
Very pleased with the location of this cute hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop terrace and jacuzzi. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted us in arranging our buses and activities. We would definitely come back here!
Not worth the price
Room smelled, extremely small bathroom (especially shower), nowhere to put suitcase, very small, very loud.
All round great stay
Great staff and facilities in excellent central position. Highly recommend.
great hotel in a great location
excellent hotel in Cartagena, location is very quiet, safe and close to all main tourist attraction. stuff were very nice and helpful from the moment I arrived, they gave me map and provide explanation about all the things to do in the city. wifi signal was excellent in my room. the only downsides: no window in my room and water in shower are not so hot but I could live with it since the temperatures outside was very high anyway. I would stay again on my next visit in cartagena. excellent value for money!
Review
Every thing they said to be was. Great stay. I would stay again.
Great place for the money.
Excellent staff, Jailing at the front desk was friendly and very knowledgeable of the city in general, Neva was also very attentive. Good location, close to bars, restaurants and clubs and at the same time the hotel is very quite. I would definitely come back and recommend it.
NA
Central located.Very good staff from the manager, night staff and cleaners
Lovely little hotel
The rooms are small and basic by American standards, but the water is hot, the air conditioner works great, breakfast is delicious and change s, the staff is wonderful, and you will not be in room very much. I would stay again.
Get Your Exercise Walking to the Nice Part
I didn't have a window. The place was clean, the décor was nice, the water was hot when you got it at the right temperature. The part of old town that has most of the nice shops and restaurants is about a mile away. This part is seedier, but most of the hostels are in this area. I would try to get in the other part of Old Town next time..
Small room but was clean cool and comfortable.
Close to area of nightclub scene
Only had couple suggestions: room didn't have a place to put toiletry and had roof leak in the bathroom
Location is very quiet and staff are very helpful.
Zana Hotel Boutique | Hotel in Cartagena | Travala.com
I had a lovely time at Zana Hotel. The check-in was efficient, and the staff was friendly. They spoke English. The hotel was small but clean, albeit it shows its age. There was a small outdoor hottub with a view from the 3rd floor. A nice, fresh continental breakfast. But, there are no convenience items, like a mini fridge or microwave. A lovely, budget friendly hotel. The room I had was a basic single, with no window. If you're claustrophobic, get a larger room. I traveled solo, so the space was just enough. In the heart of Getsemani. Lots of local artsy shops and eateries. Within walking diatance to tourist spots. I recommend but would not revisit.
