Great space for a family of four that is in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. We enjoyed our stay. The pull out couch bed is as one would expect.

We had a great time at the apartment for a group of friends, contact from the company was great beforehand. Sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable and also quite steep steps downstairs if you have mobility issues. However we enjoyed our stay and would recommend

Comfy beds, enough room for family of 4. 25 minites walk to central station. Very convinient check in process via application. No front desk personnel. Lockers are available.

Was a great stay for the price

Mouse in the kitchen, always hot, no air con, noisey fans, under the bed not cleaned, one twin bedroom has no windows (we called it the hot coffin). We had 5 ppl in apartment 001. Toilet seat was broken too. We’d never stay here again. To top it off, we had a fire alarm go off in the building one night.

The location is excellent as it is close to Amsterdam Central Station and local public transportation. On the negative side, our fridge was not working, so much of the food that we purchased had to be thrown out. As well, some of the food that was being kept on the inside window ledge to stay cool was gnawed and chewed into by "something". We were given a change of room.

The process, communication and check in were all super simple and easy. The location was perfect for our family, beautiful area, with access to parks, restaurants and local culture we had everything at our fingertips.

Spacious, clean, good location

Lovely accommodation only 4 minutes by bus to the centre. Bus stops & tram stops both within 5 mins walk from the accommodation. Excellent communications before arrival and checking in was easy. We stayed in a large one bed apartment which was larger than expected. Very clean, with plenty of storage space. Only thing I think these rooms need is a couple of fans, which are needed in the Summer months.

Positives: The room/apartment itself was great. Clean and comfortable, nice kitchen, and access to laundry in the basement (BYO detergent etc). Negatives: Numerous listed amenities were not actually available at the property. The was no "on-site concierge," no vending machine, no luggage storage. The absolute worst part of staying here was the communication through WhatsApp. Responses are clearly either from a bot or copy-pasted, often resulting in inaccurate information. For example, I asked about luggage storage and was told that while they didn't have it on-site, I could click a link to find a local partner, and "best of all, it's completely free!" Upon clicking the link, I was taken to a separate company who wanted to charge nearly 30 euros to store our luggage for a few hours after check out. I also inquired about late check out, and after several exchanged was finally told it would be OK to check out at noon instead of 11am. This turned out to be untrue, as our keycard was deactivated at 11am and an employee knocked on our door at 11:15 asking us why we were still there. After I showed him the WhatApp messages where I had confirmed noon check-out, he apologized. I asked him if these communication issues and amenity changes had happened as a result of the change in who owns/operates the facility, and he said yes. Trying to communicate with the company through WhatsApp was a huge waste of precious vacation time. We will stay elsewhere next time.

Nice place

It is a bit pricey for the service. There is no in-house staff. You can communicate through WhatsApp. But it is hard to get an extra roll of toilet paper right away. When the hairdryer isn’t working, we have to wait until the next day to get it fixed.

Beautiful spacious apartments on a canal, walkable to most attractions and right on the end of the tram line. Nice kitchens, in room laundry/dryer, super clean place. Easy access with door codes. AC was not very powerful, but the weather was cooler when we were there, and it was still a bit warm. Would definiely stay again and its a great homebase from which to explore Amsterdam

This was a perfect property for our family of five. Lovely, quiet, easy access to walk a variety of places or to catch an Uber.

A nicely modernized holiday apartment. Family friendly. Staff is always available at the reception to offer any help. Free coffee at the counter. The laundry machine should be replaced/fixed.

Spacious luxury

The decor is white which makes the spacious apartments appear even more spacious which is a plus in a city where most accomodations are a bit on the claustrophobic side. Friendly staff, quiet neighborhood also a plus...

Front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Excellent location, easy access to all attractions. Room amenities can be improved. Large room, perfect for family or group travel, overall is was a great experience! Highly recommended.

Amazing Stay

I highly recommend this property. The front desk were so friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and had everything that someone would require. I loved having a washer/dryer in the apartment as well as a laundry room free of charge if needed. The view of the canals was amazing. It was about a 30 min walk into the main area of Amsterdam but lots to see and take pics of as you walk.

Great, quiet location. Excellent staff. Only dislike: very warm in apartment and windows would not open, so had to use fans to sleep.

It was spacious for our young family of 4. It had everything we would need The price point was unbeatable compared to other properties in central Amsterdam. Thought abit of a walk from the main attractions, if needed we would take an Uber or a bolt that still made the overall cost worthwhile.

A short bus ride from Amsterdam Centraal made this a conveniently located location to stay at. The hotel provides guides for the surrounding area which we should have paid more attention to as they had some very good recommendations for food that was nearby rather than us taking the bus into the city centre.

Great Apartment style property - Central Amsterdam

Yays Salthouse Canal was a great choice for our small family of 3 for our first visit to Amsterdam. We really liked the apartment style setup including a separate bedroom and living room and additional kitchen with amenities. We often had breakfast in the room using the range top, coffee machine, microwave and fridge, and the ability to heat up left overs or bring dinner back and have it comfortably in the living room or on the dining table. Cleaning staff comes by every 8th day or so, so keep that in mind if you're staying shorter. Not a deal breaker for us. The location was excellent for us. Only 4mins from the No 5 Tram that takes you around the East side of central Amsterdam on the No 48 Bus that takes you to the Central station in ~8mins. Quiet but walking distance from Albert Heijns, groceries, cafes and restaurants. We always felt safe even when we were returning back to the hotel after 10pm. Stylistically we did like how they merged the old timber ceiling looks with modern interiors. Has an elevator (definite plus in Amsterdam!) The staff was also excellent. All 5/6 front desk folks we talked to were very pleasant, great English (goes for most of The Netherlands). Gave us great tips, even though we had pre booked multiple events on each of the 6 days we were there. And were often just good conversation! Would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay again even slightly pricier to others. I might try the Yays Maritime to see how that property looks.

Great find and comfort

Great fine, the apartment setting made the time there really comfortable. Bed was really comfortable, shower nice. Made feel like a local. Location convenient and a short walk to centrum.

Misguided booking info! No pay at property option!

Travelled as 3 friends,coming from different countries.Booked our stay at Yays based on local friend’s recommendation and was expecting to have a good and professional service,stuff was good but management’s attitude and communication were just the opposite even our stay was good.1)hotel charged 72 hours in advance from my credit card even I booked it as“pay at property”on purpose.At the time of booking they have pay at property option but in reality they charge before you arrive!It made us pay all the additional bank commissions.We asked to cancel creditcard transaction and pay at property as in the itinerary but they didn’t do it during 3 days even they say they can do. On departure day,manager(Marco) made us wait more than an hour, no solution,no apology+rudeness.He asked us to pay again there then promised to cancel the transaction after we leave,but we couldnot trust after his all inconsistencies.After all hotel system couldnot cancel the initial payment,so we glad not paying double fee based on his guidance!In the end after our disappointment,he ordered a complimentary airport taxi to tolerate the situation but we lost our morning to enjoy one last coffee together before everyone travels her own destination + tons of stress before flight.2) we stayed in a family room.There are 2 rooms however in 1 bedroom, the beds are smaller than a single bed and not comfortable for an adult- this is not obvious on the photos of the property.3)location is far from center- 15mins uber

Lovely staff with plenty of room in the apartment.

We loved staying at Salthouse Canal. The apartment was unique and met all our needs. It was a quick walk to train and tram and accessible. Staff were helpful and accomodating. Have already recommended it to a friend visiting this summer.

I went to Amsterdam me and 3 mates. This was a great holiday I would definitely recommend staying here however if you want to save some money may be better off staying more central as we spent most of our walking 15-30 mins to the centre and further for other activities. Also, there was only 2 double beds and a double sofa bed it was a bit of a squeeze for 4 of us however it was adequate I would just suggest getting a bigger hotel if there are 4 of you. Overall good stay but location was a bit of an issue and amount of space in room.

We are a family of four and we stayed at the property for five nights. We walked to all the museums and liked that the hotel was tucked away from the main touristy areas. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing food and the laundry was located in the apartment. The staff was helpful with everything. Just one small complaint - the sofa bed was okay for kids but would be brutal for an adult!

Excellent accomadation

Awesome place to stay. Staff were super helpful and always friendly. Apartment was clean and couldn’t fault it. Family of 4 stayed 4 nights would love to come back again.

Okay but would have picked a different place.

Stay was okay but cleanliness and building up keep left a lot to be desired. Property was clean enough, however a lot of scuff marks and stains on walls (especially in the kitchen). Also, the walls are paper thin so if there is a child in the bulding you're going to know.

Location and staff

Visited Holland and Paris with my wife and 15 year old granddaughter to show granddaughter where I came from 60 years ago, could not have chosen better location and have excellent staff in hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel

Room OK but worn carpets, bathroom and WC were mildewy, and there was black mold in the shower, likely because it is a basement apartment. Bathrooms also old. Pictures make the rooms look nicer than in person.

Great space for a family.

No air conditioning and minimal ventilation with an insect screen made this small apartment for 4 in summer unbearable. Location was good. Frustratingly the lift wasn’t working at checkout. And the apartment has no freezer just a small bar fridge and the dinner plates don’t fit in the dishwasher.

Beautiful hotel on canal, we loved it!

Room was spacious and comfortable. Kitchenette allowed us to cook a meal during our visit. Staff was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyable stay away from the crowds

As these apartments are located away from areas mobbed by tourists, we were able to enjoy a calm stay. Supermarket and good restaurants are within a 10 -15 min walk so we were not missing out on any conveniences. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, but the best part is the helpful and friendly staff. They were always ready to assist or answer any questions.

The location is lovely, there are frequent bus services into central station. The concierges on the front desk were chatty, friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. The only problem we had was using the combi microwave/oven, perhaps leave instructions in the accommodation?

Very spacious for the 6 of us. Catered very well. Beautiful.

Great Stay

The unit is great and big enough for 6 people. We love having a washing machine in unit and on top of that, more washing machines and dryers shared in the basement free of charge! The kitchen and dining area are also big enough. However, it is very basic and we had to get our own oil and salt for cooking. We had to use the sofa bed and there was empty water bottle and dust under the sofa bed. However, overall the unit is very neat and clean. Staff are all very helpful, especially when we had issue with the internet.

Cleaning was terrible, sofa wasn't clean and got loads of hair on it. Found sugar left opened on mini bar, even a broken glass inside dishwasher. Won't recommend even location is quite.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood and, consequently, was very quiet. Centraal Station is approximately a 15-20 minute walk so it’s convenient to access the Metro, trains, ferries, and trams. The staff were very pleasant and helpful when we had questions, but for the most part, we had lots of space and privacy.

Cracking Boutique Apartments

Lovely place to stay. About a 20 min walk to the vert heart of Amsterdam. The space was well managed, modern, very contemporary and in summery a gorgeous place to stay. Hard to be critical but if I had to, the apartment was quite cold and changing the heating setting had very little impact. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

A weekend break in Amsterdam

We loved staying at YAYS Salthouse. It was an easy walk into the centre or to the station. There is always something interesting and frequently beautiful to look at. The accommodation was super: comfortable and well equipped.

This is hotel is in a great location if you like to be away from the central area. However there are not a lot of choices for dining close by

Would recommend bike hire as its a good walk from shops/attractions. Number 48 bus a 5 min walk, comes every 5-10 mins to Centraal station. Host at reception very friendly and accommodating. Everything we were looking for in an apt hotel - charming quiet neighborhood,comfortable beds- well equipped kitchen a washer/dryer! and very happy we paid a little more for the canal view. Staff was very helpful with our requests. No a/c but they provided an extra fan when we asked.

Neighborhood Stay

Enjoyed this stay and location.

I thought the property was very nice overall. I had a family of four and we were very comfortable in the room for our four day stay. The property is on a nice quiet canal in a more residential area. There is a square about a five minute walk away that had a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. If you like to walk, you can walk from the property to the heart of Amsterdam. Although, most of the time we got an Uber, which costed about 12 euros one way. The train station was about a 5 minute car ride away.

We had a lovely stay at Yays. The staff were all very helpful and the property suited our needs perfectly. Great location and quiet area.

Great for staying in Amsterdam and having freedom

Even before we arrived we had been in-touch with Yays as they provided us with travel instructions from the airport. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and given a guide for the area. The apartment itself was very clean and everything you needed was provided. Would 100% stay again!

We rented a 6-person apartment and it was very spacious. The second floor is under the ground surface with a bit of a slightly steep staircase. The only problem we had was a noisy water pump, but other than that, the apartment was clean and well equipped. Public transit was also really close and we were able to get our bus passes from the reception, which was very convenient. We'd stay again.

Small but perfectly formed apartment, located on a quiet street just far enough from from the action. Both the bed and the sofa bed are a good size and comfortable. The kitchen area is compact but well equipped, and there is a decent shower too. Friendly and helpful staff onsite 24 hours a day. I've now stayed in these apartments 3 times and will definitely be back again...

I'm not one to give out excelent ratings, unless it is well deserved. The Yays Zoutkeetsgracht property and crew were bery well deserting of an excellent rating. The properly and appartment were immaculate. By far, the staff was the best part of the hotel . They were more like frinda than staff. We stayed there in march of this year, and have planned anoyher stay fot july next yeat.

We are welcomed by the cheerful stuffs which werr very helpful. We were also given a booklet complete with local attractions and amenities. The property is clean. The location is good which is 2 bus stops from Central Ststion with a nice canal just in front of the property. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Amsterdam.
