Worst Hotel Experience Imaginable
I've stayed in capsule-type hotels in other countries (this was my first visit by this hotel operator) and while I am not a huge fan of the concept, I find the experience tolerable for a few days with two minimum requirements that this property completely lacked: Acoustics and Ventilation. When I checked in, I was told that the hotel was located over a night club and that if I found the music problematic, I would be given an entry ticket to the club and a drink coupon for wine or beer. The primary purpose of a hotel is to sleep and the intermittent noise (ranging from barely tolerable to completely unbearable) started around 11pm until around 2 am would wake me up every time I started to fall asleep negatively impacting my circadian rhythm and mood the next day. What was more unacceptable than the noise was the complete lack of adequate fresh air and temperature control in the pod; I adjusted the control to around 18-degrees Celsius with high volume air, but I felt like I was locked in a death chamber and woke up several times throughout the night to open the door just to get fresh cool air (the corridor was about 10-degrees cooler than the capsule). This was, by far, the worst experience I have at any hotel in any of my global travels. Not only would I never stay at this hotel, I will never stay at another Brown property.
Don’t stay there! So small, claustrophobic
I had to check out earlier because the place was so small that you couldn’t even fit two people and carry on suitcases! For the same price I found The Urban Chalet, with a full room, that you can walk into and out, have sauna, free breakfast and drink, and near the cool neighbourhood. Honestly, I don’t understand why people give them a good review - the room with the bed up high - even the stairs to the bed are terrible and hurt your feet, plus likely dangerous to go down on them. I had booked two nights and left after one as it was the worst place I’ve stayed at all times - simply way too small, dark (no windows whatsoever), just bad!
Stayed one night, a bit noisy from the club downstairs but not too bad.
The pods are great for a night or two. Good vibe and overall a nice place to stay. Better than a hostel.
Good for transit
Not clean.
The location was great. The bathrooms on several floors were locked and out of order. The kitchen was really dirty. The guy working the evening shift was stoned on pot and trying to pick up several of the single ladies staying there. It was an uncomfortable situation to be around.
Glitch but not a miss.
The overall feel and location of this property is nice. However, because of how new this place is there were some technical issues that had me locked in my hotel room and was very uncomfortable. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, and most very helpful when looking for things to do and places to eat.
Great concept, great location, but the people who designed it obviously didn't spend one night to get what it feels like for guests. Things look nice but have little utility. contractors and mess often in front of my pod's door during my stay. The sound proofing isn't great, you can hear people in the other pods and techno all night from the club underneath. Overall if it was cheaper I would stay again.
Spent a nice quite evening at the WOM Allenby. The team is superb. Very friendly and helpful. Loved the App, controls the light and the door key. The space is very nicely design. Young urban vibe. The rooms are smartly planed to fit all I needed in a very small space. Loved the bathrobe and matching sleepers to accompany to the shared bathroom. I would defenatly come again.
It was clean, big enough for one.
It's incredible that a guest can't sleep quite during Thursday and Friday night because of a techno club pumping the music up until 4am. Embarrassing! This should be acknowledged before booking!!!!
Struttora molto carina
Fair
Bathroom was always clean. However, there was hair on my sheets so I don’t think they were changed. Also, the door of my room didn’t seem to close properly with the top part having a gap.
Проживание комфортное
Propreté ça va à peu près. Personne nest venue ni pour changer mes draps, serviettes et passer un coup de balai dans la chambre qui tres spartiate
A non-recommendable place to stay at
Hi, I have stayed at the hostel for three nights with my son Room A13 and I can summarize my stay by saying there merits and a mass of demerits of it. Let's begin with the merits: 1 A helpful and kind staff 2 A nice location 3 A fantastic system of controlling mostly lights at the room throughout an app. Demerits: 1 The room is very hot and man can not get it cold even there is a button of controlling fhe fan degree on the app but it is useless. I sent them a message through their app but no answer was received 2 No place to set luggage under the bed because the space is very small. 3 The photos found on Hıotels.com make you think that the hostel has a special beach despite thry are taken from a nearby beach. 4 They do not change the towels, linen and bathrobe unless you ask them through the app even cleaning the room. I enclose photos for the room and a dangerous socket in the bathroom which is not fixed during my stay and the other one for my bag on the bed, no place for it under the bed. In general, I do not recommend it ro others for the above-mentioned reasons but the decision is yours. All the best Mehmet
