Loved the old house. The breakfast could of involved some more hot food.

Clean and comfortable stay

Lovely hostess, Claudia. Clean, quiet and convenient to the hospital.

Nice folks, beautiful property. Most of our stay we were the only guests. Hosts are not in site, which I find creepy. We had to go to a sister property to have breakfast one day. Communication with hosts was inconsistent. Smoke alarms were removed for testing and ours was not replaced until the following day. Didn’t provide enough in-room coffee and since they were not on site, this couldn’t be remedied. No closet in our room so it was crowded. Noises in the walls at night. Lots of sirens given proximity to hospital. Breakfasts were good. Parking was problematic and confusing.

The staff went out of their way to communicate and made everything perfect for the arrival. This included me coming a little bit earlier and then letting me store my bags. The room was just perfect and close to everything on Broadway Would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to others

My husband and I stayed here for one night when we were in town for a company Christmas party. Excellent location convenient to downtown and public transit, clean room, beautiful area, and great staff - we showed up at 10:01am (breakfast ends at 10am) and the staff kindly served us, even insisting on making a hot breakfast! Easy check in and check out and great value compared to hotels.

We were able to book a room here last minute when we were in town for the Taylor Swift concert! We came by early to see if we could drop our bags off and were delighted to be able to check in early. It was so nice to have a chance to rest after our travels and freshen up before the concert that night. The staff were so friendly and sweet and brought us special goody bags!! Thanks for making our trip to Vancouver so special!

Absolutely beautiful guest house! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great location for BC Place

First night there was no toilet paper or tissues in the shared bath we were to be using. However, the staff got right on it the next morning.

Love heritage houses. I stayed in the Cottage, which I loved. Staff courteous. Breakfast delicious. Convenient to transportation.

The room was clean and well appointed. Location is excellent, near good restaurants, and train station is a short walk. Breakfasts were great. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Near Vancouver City Centre

No air-conditioning in the room, which is unusual in North American properties. The window only opened two inches, so even with an electric fan it was hot. Breakfast was very good and the girls working there were both very helpful.

The house wAs unique and beautifully furnished with antiques.

No Frills

We’ve stayed at a number of B&B’s and have enjoyed them. However, Windsor was lacking in a number of areas. We saw only one person - besides the cook - for a short while. She could offer no recommendations on what to see, where to eat, etc. Usually there is an evening happy hour, fresh pastries and fruit at breakfast. None of that. The room was fine. So if you’re looking for a basic place to lay your head I guess this is your place.

Wonderful little period house transformed into a B&B

Perfectly located. Clean and comfortable.

Very comfortable! I liked the history of the house itself and surrounding area. Very nice breakfast if you wanted something hot or cold Quiet,and safe area. The sky train was within walking distance…easy to get to the airport. The only thing I would comment on is letting people know how to regulate the heat and breakfast should be from 7 or 7:30 especially if you are catching the sky train to the airport or making an allowance for this as I had to leave before 8 without breakfast that was included in price. Most places start earlier. Would definitely stay again.

A little quiet please

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant however allowing people to check in after six pm is not acceptable. We were sound asleep when new guest arrived around 11pm making a ton of racket getting to their rooms across from ours, sadly no staff to tell them to be quiet which unfortunately I had to do. Also regarding the cleaning not sure why vacuuming was still going on after our check in time of 3pm. On a better note the breakfast was good and staff friendly when they were around.

Great alternative to a hotel. Easily walkable and convenient to transportation. Quiet and quaint. Love the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Sitting on the front porch at the end of the day was a nice treat.

Great old house that has been beautifully restored. Very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Just what we wanted. The breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were friendly. We will definitely stay at this beautiful B & B next time we're in Vancouver.

Self checkin was worrisome beforehand but went easily. Sudden temperature downturn with rain made the room feel damp and chilly -- no fault, but no apparent way to turn on heat and no staff on duty was problematic.

Excellent place to stay. Would stay again and reccommend. only complaint, the shower pressure and temperature in my room could have been better.

Beautiful neighborhood

This is a lovely place in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved walking through the streets. They serve a vegetarian breakfast. Everything was yummy.

This property was so bad we had to leave after one day. We had booked for two. The room was in the basement. Small room no air conditioning. I want a refund for second day as false advertising.

My check in and check out was quick. Ring bell or text for your entry code. Place is secured with autolocks and security cameras. I felt safe. My bed was comfortable. The room had a mini fridge. Stores are nearby as are restaurants. I didn't participate in the breakfast.

Windsor Guest House is a grand old house! We loved the location. Too bad that there is no parking for guests. We were in the basement and it was a little warm, even with the fan running (which was a little noisy). Breakfast was very good! Your staff was very friendly. We'd stay there again and will recommend it to our friends.

Didn’t like the microwave. Door opening is v difficult. We understand power failures occur and appreciate it being restored. Lucky we were going out or it would’ve been a worse experience for us. Thanks Bernice and Paul.

Beautiful heritage character home. Lovely stained glass.

The first room was in the basement and we are elderly. They happily switched rooms and even dropped us off at a nearby brewpub for lunch. Except for the room switch the experience was fabulous.

Loved the area. Easy to get around. They allowed me early checkin which was handy. The breakfast and lounge area looked very inviting. Wish I had more time to partake. Very homey feeling whic I like better than hotels. Historic property. Coffee and sink available in-room.

Nice heritage building, limited services

Stay is so-so. Beautiful heritage building. Clean. Check in time limited to 3-5pm. Maids forgot to put a sheet on the bed and I'm not sure there was anyone to contact about it. If I had paid $100-150 for it I would have been quite happy, but $300 and no breakfast?

Close to transportation, in a nice area, with a painless check-in/out process.

This is a beautiful craftsman house in a historic neighborhood. It is walking distance from lots of dining choices and some shopping. The sirens in the night are a bit of a bother but that is probably partly due the the close proximity to Vancouver General and downtown. Our room was clean and well kept.

Home away from home!!

This is one of Vancouver's gems! It is located in a lovely heritage neighbourhood close to sky train, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was included and there were lots of tasty options to choose from! Staff are lovely and helpful. We look forward to our next visit!!!

Great location, easy to access from the airport, bus and subway train.

My three adult kids went to Vancouver for a concert and the check in at the original hotel was not great because I was not there and had paid. These guys were amazing and so easy to deal with. And my kids really likes the place.

Wonderful place

It was very clean and looks like a family home on the out side.

Age and location

Nice place, very good location, but a bit out-of-focus: no tea/coffee/refrigerator, TV at the lobby not connected. The mattress was “tired”, and the room had a bit of a stuffy smell. Blanket was without a cover. Feel like a bit more attention would definitely make it work.

Great location.

Most comfortable bed we slept on during our BC vacation. Very close to the False Creek Seawall , restaurants, shopping and the subway.

Lovely place to stay. Very clean. The only negative would have been that the temperature of the rooms isn’t adjustable. The room was quite warm, and upon reaching out to staff, I found out that there’s only one thermostat for all the rooms, so as a guest you don’t have control over your room temperature. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and will definitely book this again.

3-day visit

Location is very convenient for trains. Room was comfortable, but on our last day, housekeeping staff took our towels and forgot to replace them. When we called to ask for towels, they promised to bring some, but never did.

One of the Best BnBs We've Stayed At!

The Windsor Guest House was amazing! From the wonderful decor and comfortable room, to the delicious breakfast this places exceeded all of our expectations. It's an awesome place to stay in a totally wonderful town!

The Windsor House and its "sister properties" have been my go-to lodging in Vancouver since the 1990s. Why? Because (1) they are easy to find from Hwy 99 (Oak street) so minimal traffic hassles (2) they are located in an ideal location for urban exploring - easy walking distance to nearby business districts and downtown (3) the breakfasts, included in the cost of the room, include a small menu of egg dishes in addition to cereal, toast, fruit, etc. and (4) staying there feels like "home" with the friendly staff and comfy atmosphere. Last but not least (5) the price is within my limited travel budget!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The property is also close to a train line, making it very easy to get around the city.

I stayed in the queen suite with bathroom. The stay was very comfortable and location is perfect for the hospital.

Good clean place and room. lovely staff, good breakfast. But they just don't get it when it comes to the bathroom and vanity. Although clean they have virtually no towel racks or shelves to put your things on at the sink or in the bathrooms or in the shower stalls. In all the rooms I've been in. They ask for feedback and I've mentioned it before to no avail. However, it is not the end of the world, only a vexation to an otherwise good experience.

I loved the location in a beautiful arts and crafts tree lined neighborhood only a few blocks from the sky train. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and the location was convenient. Not in the thick of things but that was okay for me.

Very nice B&B with generous breakfast. My only complaint was that someone above me was up a little late and the ceiling/floor was not well soundproofed

We, a family of three, had an ideal 2-day stay at the Windsor Guest House. As a guest you generally don’t come in contact with those running the guest house until breakfast, when a custom meal is provided.

Our stay at the Windsor Guest House was quite lovely. The location is incredible, especially for the price. We stayed in the Richard room on the bottom floor and were very pleased with the amenities and breakfast each morning. One thing to note is that it is an older house so it is creaky at times. On the first night, we awoke to people walking in the rooms above us and talking quite loudly as they were departing. We began to use the room fan thereafter, and it drowned out most of the noise. We'd gladly stay here again.

Nice room, clean. Remember, it's an old house. It has thin walls and creaky stairs. That is what gives it some of its charm but when doors are opened and closed you hear it. We arrived early and were glad to have somewhere to put our luggage as we went out for the day. We were asked to leave our luggage in the front room. When we returned six hours later, it was still there. There were other people in the house and we felt that security was lacking for the luggage. We had assumed that it would be moved up to our room or put somewhere secure until our return. We were right down the street (aprox 1/2 mile) from the sky train and bus. That was a huge plus.

Baconless

Convenient for the local train and within walking distance of the river front. Comfortable, clean room, plentiful breakfast despite the lack of bacon.

The Windsor Guest House is really a cute place to stay in a quiet part of town, i didn’t meet many staff members, but those I did were very friendly, the breakfast is amazing.

The property is a beautiful historic home with a very "welcome home" feel. My room was comfortable, clean, and well put together. The property is also within walking distance of many shops, museums, and the waterfront, but still situated in a safe, welcoming residential area.

Island Girl

We were going to a Lions game...2km walk over the bridge. Lots of restaurant choices for dinner. I am a Vancouver girl, and the B&B location reminded me of the city as it used to be, but provides easy access to the modern city. Best of both worlds!

Very comfy and welcoming guest house

Welcoming staff, comfy bed, heated floors. My only complaint is the room was quite warm and we couldnt find a way to turn it down. There was a fan, which was very helpful. Breakfast looked great, but we were running late and didnt stay. Very quiet street. Would recommend to anyone and will likely stay there again. Cheers

Wonderful Place to Stay

The Windsor House was wonderful! Really warm and comfortable room. The house itself was also wonderful. I really like the residential neighborhood it was at. It was right around the corner from City Hall and even better the train station (Public transportation). The cost was really inexpensive during the summer months. The staff was real helpful. It was just a really good value and experience.

Room was on basement amd smelled musty. Room was cold and damp. We had phoned and inquired about parking on the premises and was told parking was available at no additional cost. On arrival told no parking due to construction.

Great Historical Stay!

We really enjoy our stay at the Windsor Guest House. The room was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is located in beautiful historic neighborhood of Vancouver and is close to downtown and many restaurants, stores and sightseeing opportunities. We plan on coming back again.

It Suits our particular need. It is quite pricey for what you get.

A warm and friendly place to stay

Excellent location close to the train from YVR and for access to public transportation. A bit of crowding at breakfast and sometimes a wait to use the bathroom. It was great to meet the other guests—a warm and friendly place, quiet at night.
