Beautiful facility and rooms. Great dining and wonderful staff.
They make you walk from the gate if you take a cab
It you don’t rent a car and take a taxi to drop you off at this hotel, their security are not allowed to let cabs inside. Expect to walk from the gate with your heavy luggages. The two of us had 6 LARGE luggages plus 2 carry on bags and it didn’t matter to them. The next day we went to the mall and came back with a lot of stuff and it was raining heavily. Still, it didn’t matter to them. We had to walk in heavy rain with our shopping bags because they won’t let a cab at least to drop us inside near the hotel. They did not treat us as valued customers in that regard. However we enjoyed the pool area and the New Year celebration.
Not the best experience
We can half an hour early for check in and where made to wait till exact check in time by a rather unfriendly receptionist. We had to take our own luggage to the room. The pool (what we came for) was under construction and we were only informed apon arrival. The room service from the previous guest was still outside the room when we finally got to the room. When we came back from dinner the tray was still outside the door... Bed is uncomfortable, room was small for the price. This was a let down!
Very clean. Very helpful staff.
Sadly disappointed
This place has deteriorated substantially over the years, non functioning TV offering, loud guests allowed to traverse the passages late at night & to be polite, the obvious presence of physical companionship for sale in the Bar/Foyer areas. Not appropriate!!
Nice place to stay. Staff were pleasant, service was good.
Staff were friendly and nice. They worked with me patiently.
Way ober priced. Like way wayway Its a country club
Excellent stay. Hotel was very good and clean. What made the experience even better was the staff. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and had a great sense of humour.
Attentive staff and pleasant ambience. Food was good with decent variety.
very nice facility
Casino does not equal good night rest
The hotel is coupled to a casino and does not police the rowdy guests that go back to their rooms at all hours of the night. So stay here if you are happy to be woken up by drunk casino patrons every hour after midnight
Nice place to stay when in Windhoek
Very good hotel in Windhoek. The hotel is in excellent condition. The room was spacious, clean, modern, had a nice view and Wi-Fi. Dinner and Breakfast buffets were delicious and had varied selections. The pool was great. The lazy river needs cleaning, it was not kept clean enough, though. Service was good and parking was free. The hotel has a couple shops, a nice restaurant and bar, and a casino on-site. It's next to a cute neighborhood, Academia, and the University of Namibia. It's a nice place to stay when in Windhoek.
Everything fine but the food
Very good amenities. Quiet. Location is isolated, far from town - that might be a plus... Very good Internet access. Service has some flaws. Kitchen below expectation for the hotel general level.
The best
Perfect
This was our base for our honeymoon and we spent three nights here - one when we first arrived in Namibia, one after we’d visited Botswana and Zimbabwe, and one before we flew back home. They went above and beyond on our first night with a decorated bed, Le roux and a hamper. It was an amazing start to our honeymoon. Our second stay was less honeymoon-like as we were given a twin room! The third was better and we had double room as booked. We’d recommend it as a base for travelling but we didn’t actually explore Windhoek at all because we were there so briefly.

Amazing hotel in all aspects. Well worth another visit
Amazing hotel
What an amazing hotel. Rooms are great staff is friendly food is good definitely worth a visit
Quality deteriorated big time...
The first night the power on the room tripped and since my son is sleeping with an electric device helping with his breathing we had a very unpleasant night. The second day when we got back at the hotel, nothing was done to resolve the problem. Only when then they started looking into the problem. Breakfast on the first morning was something we want to forget asap. Food was cold, tasteless and my impression - left overs from the previous day.
Perfect Establishment
Quiet location, love the serenity.
Stay was very good, only issue we found were the pillows were not comfortable which lead to a sore neck in the mornings. Limited wi-fi when you are on businesss away from your country.
Nice hotel
Very comfortable room, but loud dripping of water from the air conditioning woke me up at 3am. Even turning it off didn’t fix it. Had to stand on s chair and wrap a towel around it.
Good venue not backed up by service and poor food.
Staff relatively friendly and efficient. Had to move rooms three times within a 24 hour period. i.e. a faulty door lock, a faulty AC and spent a restless last night as we left at 05h00 the following morning. Food and culinary experience was poor. Had to send my rib eye steak back twice before refusing to pay for it. Firstly it arrived raw and the second time it was not edible, tough as old boots. My wife decided on the salad buffet which proved the better option. Wife ordered a soup from room service and received what looked like a chicken stew. The planned stay was two nights so wanted to maximise the experience. Pity about the first time travel to Windhoek.
Good place to stay in Windhoek
This is a very nice place to stay at a reasonable price.
Great Stay
Fantastic stay. The rooms had a (great) revamp since my last visit.
24 hours at Windhoek Country Club
The rooms are very comfortable and to be appreciated. When we stayed there was a very temporary dining room due to refurbishment in a tent out side. Lunch was very mediocre but Breakfast was excellent. Service in the 'restaurant' left a great deal to be desired, poorly trained, and slow. The grounds need attention. Front of House Staff very welcoming attentive and courteous.
Booked into un renovated section of hotel when the hotel was barely occupied. Tired and dirty room then when I got in the shower there was no handle to turn in the water. Moved to another tired, dirty, moldy room. After complaining, moved to newly renovated room.
Back in nam....Namibia
Water pressure was not great, so look forward to a longer shower... but the staff and facilities are up to the usual fantastic Namibian welcome! Awesome people!
Convenient and clean hotel
Fantastic and relaxing vibe, firendly staff, hotel is clean, food is good
Nice Hotel
Very Nice. They can just work on their WIFI as I was not able to use it in the room at all. Bought myself and sim card with data for internet access.
great family stay
great service and breakfast. friendly staff. from Dino who helped with the luggage right through to kitchen and waiters
Nice Hotel with executive outlook
The hotel is clean and well located for a quite relaxed time. I love the infrastructure and set up of the hotel. Its easy to forget that one is away from home when you are in this hotel as it is very homely only superior.
3 star not 4!
booked a queen, but was checked into twin singles! shower was falling apart. staff in restaurant lacking in customer service - had to beckon them over for coffee at breakfast - which took long to be brought over. at check out was left standing for ages, while staff attended to something else. wanted to change some foreign currency but had to walk off after standing around for 5 minutes!
Relaxing Stay
Pleasant staff - overall a nice stay
A bit of luxury at a great price!
Stayed here one night at the end of tour, wishing to have a bit more luxury. This place was just perfect. A relaxing pool, with a bar at the pool, comfy bed and room, great breakfast and a shuttle into town if you needed it. The dinner was great, but did not need a huge buffet, but there was nothing else around to go to. If you want something in the city, this is not the place. But the service, was impeccable, and so friendly.
Fine if character and service are not important
Initially received an 'accidental' downgrade and staff tried to say to swtich to the room on our Expedia confirmation would cost extra. Eventually we were moved to the correct room type. Bathroom had paint peeling from the ceiling, the shower control was hanging off the wall and there was quite bad mould around the bath edge. The mini fridge also had a number of listed items missing already and disturbingly the adjoining doors for the next room (which was not part of our party) were both unlocked (just a wooden chair in front). Ordered cocktails but were informed that half of the ingredients were not available. Eventually found a cocktail which they could make but upon receipt the alcohol was suspiciously missing from any taste. The breakfast and dinner buffets are very good and one of the dinner waiters stood out as having good people skills and speed to respond to diners. The pool area looked like a nice place to spend time if we had been staying for longer and the golf course looked ok too (though pretty busy). Fine for golfers, business people and those more interested in the casino side of the hotel.
Disappointing Servic.
Glitzy, but only skin deep. We ordered room service. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we called to check on status and were told that it's a very long wait when they're busy (weren't told that when we ordered) and that it was on it's way. Twenty minutes later, still no food, called and canceled order. Tried to call manager but was told there wasn't one on duty. In addition, the bathroom grout was moldy and the "lazy river" was overrun with algae -- disgusting. There was no directory in the room describing amenities and hours (odd given that it adjoins a golf course). And then it took 10 minutes to check-out even though everything had been prepaid. This hotel needs to up its game. The Hilton in town is MUCH better.
Great experience - but not happy with Wifi
Always stay here during my week long business trips in Windhoek and as usual the hotel did not disappoint. Still baffles my mind how a top rated hotel in this day and age still charge for Wi-Fi. Very disappointed for the fact that we had to pay for it.
Windhoek Country Club Experience
The Hotel is great as well as all staff, really enjoy it. In my opinion they should improve the internet offer to totally FREE, instead the free 300MB/Day allowance, which never last, specially for business stay, where need to be on internet most of the time. But Thanks anyway.
Good rate and quality
This hotel is located far from down town. But have good price and quality. Especially, restaurante is very very awesome.
Relaxing environment
Very relaxing environment. The dining hall is beautifully decorated and the entire hotel staff is professional and attentive. The rooms are nice but not extraordinary. Nice pool and restaurant/bar outside near the pool.
Beautiful place but mean staff
Great food but the staff were not very excited to help anyone. We felt as if we were an inconvenience to the staff especially when we asked for something.
Great business hotel in friendly windhoek
Im a regular visitor to this hotel and this place has all i the amenities i need.... Great restaurant, garden, gym, kiosk etc. Keep it up
Windhoek Country Club
May be some repair works were under way, we heard terrible noise all the time and then very big sounds from the night club until midnight.
Pleasant stay
The hotel was fine, nothing wrong with the room except for noisy neighbours
One night in Widhoek
Very friendly, clean, great food, good choice of Whiskeys at great price.
Fantastic Hotel
All round great experience, checking in and out was quick and simple. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and service driven. The buffets both breakfast and dinner had an extensive selection, very well prepared and presented and reasonably priced. Thank you Windhoek for a warm welcome to Africa.
Lovely open spaces
Great location on the golf course hotel is well run and the rooms are clean. The food was very good both lunch and breakfast was great. The casino can attract some poor clientele at times
