Better than expected, parking is just across the road and reception will validate your ticket for a very reduced rate. Staff upon arrival very helpful and our room was perfect for the night in the city. Recommend the breakfast and the breakfast team are super friendly and food was delicious!

Convenient location for exploring Barangaroo and Darling Harbour. Short walk into CBD for shopping & sightseeing. Nice modern hotel with lovely rooms and amenities. Great weekend getaway spot.

Good for business travel

Good location and a reasonable price. Walkable to many things if you are reasonably mobile. Took the train from the airport to within about a block of the hotel, that was a nice option. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Excellent Hotel

Wonderful experience. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable - which is the most important! Room and bathroom were clean and modern. There was a full buffet breakfast and it was very good for the standard of the hotel. I would prefer warm pastries but that’s being pedantic. Staff were also very friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Early check in was great after a long flight. Patryk who checked us in was very helpful and told us about Australia Day activities.

The location was perfect, an easy walk to Darling Harbour and Pitt Street Mall. There was parking right across the road and the hotel staff were helpful and professional.

First Class Hotel

Great hotel, amazing comfy bed and spacious room.

The location near Darling Harbor was great. Our room was not. It is smaller than the cruise ship cabin we just left. Since it was Saturday night the music was thumping in our room until 2AM, and there was no place to open our luggage. Other than our bed the only place for luggage was sized for a roll aboard, unopened. Obviously not intended to be a businessperson’s hotel.

We loved our stay here. The staff were exceptional. Easy walking distance to the city and Darling Harbour. You can catch a ferry straight from the harbour to Circular Quay. Close to amazing restaurants and shopping. We will stay here again.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Curio and we absolutely love it! We will definitely be back. Rooms are modern and clean, just perfect!

Everything about the West Hotel was perfect! Couldn’t fault it! Staff were amazing, rooms were quiet, spacious and felt luxurious. Would stay here again and again!

So close to all the action in Sydney

My husband and I squeezed in a last minute, post Christmas getaway to Sydney and the West Hotel was perfect for our little trip. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close and walkable enough to transport and landmarks such as Darling Harbour, the Crown, Sealife, city centre and paddy's markets. We were thoroughly impressed by how many great restaurants were a short stroll away. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would choose the West Hotel for our next stay.

Lovely hotel reception staff need to acknowledge guests as a priority, I was left waiting 5 minutes while the chap on reception finished his email… I was there 14 nights and wasn’t acknowledged once, apart from a bottle of red wine given to me on arrival. I travel a lot and stay minimum 10 nights in hotels most hotels are informed who the long staying gusts are and are greeted when coming back to the hotel… apart from this it’s a nice hotel

Smallish rooms but otherwise perfect

I was very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness. It's a small, simple hotel, but well worth what you pay for. The shower was amazing; usually I miss my own. The bed and the pillow were the most comfortable in years. I'd like to go back and sleep for a week. Blackout blinds too! Lovely, friendly staff. The breakfast buffet could be fresher.

I loved our stay in this hotel. The staff at the desk were very accommodating and helpful. The housekeeping staff (BJ) was delightful and the rooms were very stylish but functional. I admired the design. I loved the internal courtyard downstairs and design overall.

Couldn’t fault our stay, will be back.

Great stay close the everything. Only issue was our room was next to gym. Some people don’t know how to place dumbbell's on the ground as caused loud noise early in the morning.

The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating, as were the room service staff. The meals were also really efficient! Nice gym, albeit small but it was good to have while travelling for work. It was nice and close to Darling Harbour/Barangaroo and transport!

Very poor room service options.

I know it’s not the hotel’s fault but the Bristol hotel next door was pumping till about 3:30 in the morning. Our room being on the 4th floor, was not quite high enough to block the noise. Bed was comfortable yet the pillows weren’t great. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t ask us at reception if our stay was for a special occasion, as it was, so no perks or even a congratulations but then again, if you don’t tell, they don’t ask. Breakfast was good. The location to King St Wharf /Barangaroo was great.

Nice, but a bit ouside the CBD to be convenient. Breakfast was excellent.

Very well appointed and comfortable room. Comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Loved the complimentary snacks and water. Central location - perfect for our visit to the Lyric Theatre and NSW Art Gallery. Friendly and efficient staff.

Good staff very clean

Not as fancy as it seems. Dirty, uncomfortable bedding with very basic provisions. No room for storage, food or clothes. Average rating is being generous.

Good semi-budget hotel. Small rooms, very good bathroom. Good reasonably priced breakfast. Very close to King St wharf. Don't ask desk for directions (given wrong directions), instead turn left out of hotel and then down Erskine St under freeway straight to middle of King St wharves

Great location and very comfortable

Hair dryer was terrible burned my hair because of wrong outlet… washroom set up terrible no room to put your essentials… bed had no sheets…they change bed every 3 days… for price $300 a night not worth it .. so disappointing.

Overall first impressions were very good. Front office staff are efficient and the decor is pleasing to the eye, but their version of a suite is what I would call a studio and when they say mini bar is all inclusive the variety is very minimal. The water pressure in the room is not great at all. The fridge is tiny so there is no option to store a bottle of wine as an example. The in room dining and beverages doesn’t commence until 5pm and the lack of options for alcohol is beyond ridiculous. No cocktails, no spirits, very very limited wine options; no cheese boards etc are on offer. The bar downstairs is the only option if you want to buy anything decent to drink. On a positive note, the bed is super comfortable, the bed linen is beautiful and the pillows are amazing. Late checkout at 12pm is also very nice. The suite although spotless and attractive, resembles more of a studio (it’s tiny compared to the price paid). For the pricing and reputation of Hilton I would expect more.

There was some used Qtips underneath the toiletries drawer! It was not replenished. Went to an event in the restaurant. Food was good. There was also complimentary water, snacks.

Beautiful hotel great staff and fantastic location!

The bathroom was covered in grime like it had not been cleaned in months. We arrived at 4.30pm to learn no in room dining was available not sure why but this wasn’t on the website before I booked. No option to book breakfast so we woke up at 8.30am showered by the time we wanted to eat breakfast closed at 9.30am. Rooms are tiny, no facilities for this price there’s 10 other better hotels. Horribly over priced for a mediocre subpar hotel. Won’t stay here again.

Up to date decor, the breakfast buffet selection was fabulous. My wife and I stubbed our toes multiple times with the chair with the table. The legs of the chair sticks out in a tight space.

Very Good Hotel

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, room service menu very extensive - breakfast can be pre-ordered night before. Restaurant breakfast not cheap, but has eggs to order and lots of options. Decor looks amazing, but being dark, means even with all lights on, it is really dark to put makeup on, so could do with much better lighting in bathroom. Table is good to work from for short periods, with power points & USB ports close by to table and bed.

The hotel staff here cannot be beat, they do anything and everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. This a 10 Hotel.

Fire alarm and double room deposit charged

Everything else was fine to good. But one night the fire alarm went off at 5am and all the guests left their rooms to head outside of the entrance of the hotel. After I am assuming was a false alarm, the hotel staff never apologised to the guests or informed anyone what the cause of the alarm was for. After being shocked by a loud alarm at 5am for a period of 10-15 mins, it was quite poor service for a hotel of this class. Also when I checked in, the staff and the website both charged me for the deposit, so double the deposit was held by the hotel. When I asked the concierge to clarify, the staff only told me if I do not use anything then it will not be charged anyway. I honestly think this explanation was totally outrageous as it should not have happened in the first place and the staff’s explanation was simply insufficient. The hotel should have taken positive action instead of this attitude.

Great location

Great location. Very convenient to everything around Darling Harbour and the city. Modern and stylish. Great king size bed. Very comfortable. Air conditioning was fantastic on a very hot weekend. Was happy with our stay here.

Great location, clean, tidy and friendly. Also still have bottled water for guests! Too many hotels miss out on the simple things!

We booked a room with two queen beds. There was very little room to move around it. There is no closet. Just one drawer with a few hangers over the suitcase shelf. When we asked why, the response was that this is a business hotel. We don't usually need closets. Also barely any room to move between the beds, We had to move sideways to get out. Once we inquired, the receptionist decided that he wants to show us how we could organize and fit our stuff better. He came and started moving our purses around, even closing the zipper and he was going to keep on going when I had enough and stopped him. I had never experienced anything like that.

My new favorite

Wonderful in every way. Wish I had time for a longer stay, I will plan to come back! Very convenient location for public transportation and walking without being too close to the major tourist hubs.

It was fairly new building, easy to get to other places by walking. I got a good deal with breakfast included. The shower was really good! Felt like showering in silk. The water was amazing! Good service and experience
