Lovely stay at a nice hotel
The Blinds were broken There are no outlets by the beds There is no table the room smelled of cigarettes No smoke detector only trash can in the bathroom TV had limited channels and very small
Maybe not other rooms, but my room’s window blind was broken so I asked if I could move to other room but they said no vacancy. Also my room did not have cable tv and only two channels in English. Other than these little inconveniences I satisfy with my stay considering the price.
The property is old not very good, dirty carpet broken doors, broken smoke detectors, broken switches, dirty beds.
Leaking toilets -must use bath towels for that
My stay was unacceptable: I was scheduled for three nights and left after two. The room included a leaking toilet, onto the bathroom floor, and a sink faucet that also leaked. I requested that both be addressed after the first night. They made an effort to do so day 2 at 5:00pm but when I returned to the room it was still leaking onto the floor. When I tried to clean the floor with Lysol wipes, I found the floor itself was filthy-the wipe was black. There was nobody available at the front desk to report this to. After the second night and continued leaky toilet, I used a bath towel to absorb the water and decided to leave early -again nobody available at the checkin to explain all this to. Bad experience overall.
it was an ok stay. room a bit small. would have liked if hotel had wash cloths at least.
Nice hotel for the price
Overall good
Motel was old but kept up alright. Upkeep of the grounds was good. In room amenities were slim. Bed and flooring was okay shape and clean appearance, bathroom clean, too. Nice LG flat screen on wall, lousy available channels selection. Room showed its age in areas, as expected. No leaks or scars in ceiling or walls. Great for the price though.
My room had bed bugs and mosquitoes WiFi does not work and you have to pay $5 the days you stay I thought parking was free if you have a room
Great location everything is close by
the carpet is so dirty and the room smells moist and the heater was noisy. There was no hair dryer. The toilet lacks soap. the blue towels were old and the bed was not comfortable. Not worth spending the money.
Welcome Inn Colorado Blvd in LA
Things to consider: two towels in room. No washcloths, no cable tv, no lamps, no hangers. Two small pillows. Noisy air con/heat. Chipped paint in bathroom window and door. Carpet stunk. Pool lounge chairs dirty and ripped. Other pool furniture dirty..not wiped down. No coffee or breakfast. Only snack vending machine broken. No locks on bathroom windows. Furniture old and beat up. Bathroom sink faucet leaked. No phone or alarm clock in room. No kleenex.. but the Bed was comfortable and showers were hot.
The property needs remodeling very out dated. Funny thing they hold 100 dollars, the hotel we stayed the day before was completely remodeled and only held 50.00.
Very courteous staff and parking was very convenient.
okay ar
Comfortable Stay
It was ok. Comfortable and accessible. Easy to access from freeway.
They want to change me $100 more😡 originally was $207 and now $307😲
I paid them cash for the room and they still charged my credit card and will not give me a refund even with receipts
This is a below average dtay dor the area. There are virtually no amenities, the check-in islaborious and odd, the sheets and blankets skimpy, and minimal electrical outlets that were functional. Thecl walls are thin, and it is noisy. It was clean, and the mattress comfortable, The price more than should be charged for what you get. The staff was pleasant. Adequate for a short overnight stay and place to sleep.
It was ok
The building is ok, service is bad, TV with bad signal, not enough outlets, the put you 2 small towels in the bathroom, they charge you for the parking, not tablelamps no way to call frontdesk from your room, will not stay again in this place.
It’s very Cozy and comfortable but walls are thin.
Comfortable and very polite staff
The room had crayons and hair ties and remnants of childrens crafts under and behind everything. The bedding had hair on the pilows. The furniture was very warn and broken, like they just moved it in from the street corner. I didnt see bed bugs but the office had rat traps visible. There was no hair dryer, Minimal towels, no wash cloths,no coffee, you had to buy ice from the one machine, no microwave. Honestly, spend $10 more a night and go to motel 6, this place is a dive!
Property is not the greatest or worst. Staff was nice and polite. The price was reasonable for what I got. I would stay again because it’s affordable, never heard any loud occupants and didn’t see anything I would consider unsavory.
Extra charges not really necessary
It was fine for what it was. TV didn’t work. Shower never got hot or even warm so couldn’t take a shower. I feel like I got a random $10 charge for something too. Good location though.
The room was clean and the hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking, especially for LA! There was also an adorable patio in front of our second story room with plants and wrought iron outdoor furniture. Check in and out was simple, booked online. They charge $5 a day for parking, but honestly WORTH IT.
Nice place
Friendly staff. Convenient & clean
The area was green and scenic but the property itself was average and the building was old and people were smoking on the balcony ( weed and cigarettes) and the smoke was coming inside the rooms through AC . TV was not working they promised to fix it but they did not and no attendant was available from 11:00 PM until 10 AM !!! Called several times and went to the office no o e answered . No microwaves no hair dryer no hangers !! Few towels and soap and shampoo only one of each had to buy my own soap and shampoo. Charged for parking. The furniture inside the room were very old from 1930s !! No napkins ! The blinds would not work properly ! The AC was noisy and old
Unsatisfied Customers
Doesn’t have enough amenities. No hair blower, no complimentary water, no telephone, no pen and notepads, Room are dirty theres a lot of trash underneath the bed and at the back of the drawer. No personel before check in time. After 3pm thats when you have somebody at the front desk
It was okay
I received a call early the day of my reservation. I knew I was going to come in the evening but the reason for the call was because the front desk person would be off at 9pm. So I had to rush through dinner to get to the hotel. Got there and I was a bit annoyed they didn't offer a courtesy parking. I had to pay 5 bucks to park my car, and I wanted to park in the front since I had a company car but the front only offer 5 spots. The neighborhood was sketch so I made a fuss so the front desk person said I could take the his parking spot in the front. He insisted the back is equally safe but I was a single female. If it was so safe, he could had parked in the back and leave the front spot for paying customer.
First of all they started calling me at 1:00 in the afternoon asking me when I was going to show up to check in. I had already talked to them and told them I wasn't going to get there until after midnight and was that okay and they said yes. That was before I booked. Then as soon as I booked they started calling me and called me about every 45 minutes and told me that I needed to get there before 10:00 in the evening. Which I told them was impossible because I was driving from another state. They still kept calling me and harassing me and I told him just to refund my money. They refused but also said that I needed to get there more quickly. I told them that I was going to get there as soon as I could that I wasn't going to speed but they would have to wait. They kept going on and on about how they had to close at 10:00. I told him there wasn't anything I could do about it that I had already called them. Then when we got there the room was dirty there was no hand soap in the bathroom fridge smelled bad and the sheets were not clean. We ended up sleeping on top of the sheets. On the blankets. We were trying to find another place but had an activity during the day that left us so exhausted we were just too tired to keep looking. So we went back there again. My wife called me from out of state and I went outside of the room to speak with her. At that time there was a family trying to check into the hotel and I could hear them saying but we've already paid for it online
Great location to stay at, outstanding restaurants in the area my favorite is Eagle rock green dragon with triple portions at 1/3 of the price💕
BUYER BEWARE Welcome Inn ignored their stated policy so that they could steal my dollars. Expedia refuses to hold them accountable to their own policy. Don't stay here, they have no interest in doing good business.
I stayed in my clothes. I laid my own blanket down and never took my shoes off. It smelled like urine was DUMPED in the room. I closed the bathroom door, thinking it would minimize the smell. It did not! The urine was all over the floor. The level of smell was astronomical. I wanted to ask for a refund, but it was late, I was traveling alone and had just driven 7 hours straight and I was exhausted when I checked in at 9pm. The front desk clerk left, and never returned. The office was closed. I could not shower, because the bathroom smell was so bad, I didn’t think it was clean or sanitary enough to use. I was gone by 5am. I’m sorry for the bad review. But NO ONE deserves a room that dirty and smelly. No discount price is worth it. Very disappointed I gave it a try. $50 more dollars, I could have booked a Hampton inn. Beware!!
Bars on windows, bullet proof glass at check in counter
Windows don’t open so it’s stuffy inside the rooms
good for affordable cost and convenient location!
Good motel. I just wish they had microwave.
When we booked this hotel it looked pretty decent from the pictures that were shown. Once we got there it was the complete opposite. The carpet looked and felt dirty. The sheets had stains on them. There was no hot or even warm water. We showered with cold water. The shower head barely worked, very little water would come out and it had no water pressure. The tv didn’t work, the mini fridge didn’t work and the room had a funky smell. The only reason we stayed was because it was last minute and couldn’t do any changes.
We love the property. Stayed 4 nights and 2 nights got knocks at the door at 3 and someone walking back and forth the 2 other nights at the same time. Asked for house keeping. Carpet wasn't vacuumed. Blinds were broken. Asked for a receipt when I checked in they said I couldn't have one until check out knowing they wouldn't be there as I checked out. I wasn't aware of parking fee for a place we were actually staying at or deposit fee.
Charming boutique type of hotel.
An older motel but very well maintained with pool. Lacking some amenities in room (coffeemaker, microwave), but clean and comfy with good AC. Pleasant staff.
A decent affordable place, with some very nice plants. Bed was comfortable.
GEM OF A FIND!
Very Very nice Motel! Clean, Friendly staff! Great location, Nice Italian restaurant across the street!
First this place does not allow a late check in. They close up and if your not there by then your out of luck. Every blind in the room had been wrecked, destroyed. Or missing. We had to call for service as we couldn’t get the television to work at all. There were pretty much zero amenities. Not even a phone in the room to reach the front desk. We had to call on our cell phones. The staff was not super friendly and when the toilets backed up and filled with poop water no one would come fix them. We were told maintenance wasn’t available. Lastly when I booked it said it is near or in Descanso Gardens. Total lie. Not even close. For the amount of money I spent I was so disappointed. I would not recommend to anyone.
This is our go2 spot! Rooms are clean, staff is friendly ( especially rina). Always have a great experience when we stay here.
Noise.
Dishonest
They charged an extra $5.00 for parking. Of course, it was too late to cancel and go to another hotel. Also, some common amenities (wash clothes, hand towels water cups) were missing.
The property is not yet ready for guests. The bathroom is clogged, there are no amenities in the room, no oven, no water heater, and the windows are not fixed properly.
The room was exactly what we needed. Comfortable beds. Staff was very responsive. Will likely stay again.
The area is quite and parking is no problem although i was charged $5 per night which is fine. The carpet is dirty and smelly, the water fixtures have traces of rust, there is no microwave, no hairdryer. We bought our own electric kettle.
They charge for parking in their lot, I did not see parking fee for this hotel on expedia
No frills stay. Simple, economic, convenient.
Clean your bathrooms
The bathroom was filthy. Late check in and didn't really see the bathroom before I had to leave for my work thing. So by the time I saw the nasty bathroom it was late and I knew I would be leaving early.
👍
I really enjoyed my stay here. The pool was clean; the room was clean and nicely decorated; the bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was great. I was very happy here. I will return.
Amazing experience staying here. Very well kept property and rooms. All the staff is nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Good.
I will try and avoid if possible.
Check in was seamless, plenty of parking spaces, 2 floors only so access is not that hard. Rate is inexpensive. However, Floor carpeting is visibly dirty with white spots and just plain dirt. Window shutters are in dilapidated condition so light penetrates the room. Woke up at 1230am feeling like I got bitten by insect. Packed my stuff then left.
Great cute little place
Rooms
Got the king suite, great room beds were in two separate rooms. Which allowed us to have privacy from the kids.
Good value, but with hidden parking fee.
Very clean room. Not enough outlets near the bed. No complimentary cups. Very helpful service. Front desk closes around 10 in the evening. $5.00 change for parking.
Needs renovation.
Nice
I ‘ be back
100%
A half of roll of toilet paper. No wash cloths. No bueno. Not again.
Could use some cleaning up
I had to leave 30 min into checking in because me and my son started getting bad mosquito bites. The window was left wide open from the main room, which i had closed when getting there, but few minutes later we had bites all over our bodies.
Everything was convenient and safe thank you.
Excellent
It was alright
Excellent place for the price.
No soap, didn’t want to use the towels as they had bleach stains on them and didn’t seem clean. Room sooooo dated not clean The window had no lock so manager had to use a light fitting and steel rod to keep it closed. Dirty not clean, furniture worn and dirty. Gross
Not a great stay!
Terrible old spring bed.Motel rooms are run down. No shampoo, no coffee machine, no microwave and no plug ins for devices. Noisy neighbors. The only positive was Rena the check in girl, very sweet and reset the airconditioner because it wasn't working. Brought us a blanket too. I would never stay there again. Not even Motel 6 quality.
No safety locks, no hangers, water was leaking, floors were old and dirty, window shades were broken
Very old building. Bathroom in poor condition and the mattress very uncomfortable. The carpet in the room was very dirty and old. It should be changed
Excellent for a budget motel. Immaculate bedding, towels, and fridge. Helpful staff. Easy walk to Trader Joe's and fast food options. On public transportation routes. So quiet and peaceful.
Very good experience. Highly recommended.
The amenity is very very limited. No kettle or coffee brew facility. No power plug in bathroom.
Wasn't the cleanest hotel room Ive stayed in. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Bed was comfortable. Hotel wanted additional $5.00 per day to park in hotel lot. This was not advertised. For the money and location I don't feel ripped off.
Very good for what it is. It’s a motel, and I would say one of the better motels. Front desk was friendly. Beds were comfortable. Property is pretty clean. Overall good experience.
Para uno noche está bien. No puedes hacer check in después de las 12 am te cobran $20. El parqueo también te lo cobran aparte.
Very near groceries, fast food and public transportation. Felt very safe.
Nice stay.
Nice stay, clean, safe.
I think for the cost it's worth it. It was a cozy room in a nice area. Worth the cost.
Even tho the prices are affordable I believe that the owner needs to remodel or update the amenities, there is no hangers in the closet, only one trash can that is placed in the restroom, no hand towels or wash cloths provided, remote control for tv without cover, bad odor, and the bed frame all loose, furniture super old, I been there so many times but unfortunately of course everything is getting worse without pay attention to their guests confort, the rooms didn’t look like that before, I already saw an other guest complaining about it as soonest they check in.
chill place to stay
a little out dated, but nice area and nice price. the hot water could’ve been hotter. and the 2 bed could use another tv since it’s in its own little room. 5$ for parking. i’d stay here again
The hotel is a nice place for the price. I got a very reasonable price and it's a nice clean bed and bathroom. And there's a few restaurants walking distance.
close se to many great restaurants, parks and my relatives. it was like being in a smaller toen not in the heart of LA
Cute location with plenty of places to walk around, nice area easy parking good deal
Great place
Not exactly clean and tidy with broken hangers left in the closet and cracked floorboards with debris on the floor. Beds were comfy though
Don't be fooled by the 7.4 rating!!!
7.4 rating 7.6 clean 7.0 condition must be fabricated. there were two towels. Very shabby and dirty. There four chairs not a set. All shabby and dirty. My wife refuses to use any. At 1:30 AM I woke up with some kind of buzzing noise, I could not figure it out. TV or friger MY trip ended with a sour note. This is the first time hotel.com have ever failed.
Comfortable & Decent!
The person behind the desk was friendly, the room was clean, the price was good and there wasn't a lot of noise or disturbances, so I got a good night's sleep. With all those things in mind I have to say, I will stay here again in the future.
Quick trip to Price is Right!
We had a midnight check in and the desk clerk was waiting for our arrival with a smile! The room was clean and the heater had warmed the room to the perfect temp. The bed was very comfortable and supplies were stocked and adequate. For the price it was a great value in a good location. I will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed staying here, unfortunately we only stayed 1one but we had a great experience. It was a last minute stay and thankfully we were told check in ended at 8pm so we were there before the office closed. The room was clean and has everything we needed for our stay. The room was clean and there was a lot of parking.
Nice small motel, good to sleep, and shower.

Stay away from this place
This was a horrible hotel. The outside is deceiving. The outside of the hotel looks nice but when you get into the room, you find the dirtiest, stinkiest room you can imagine. All of the rooms have plantations shutters that are all broken and would not shut. We could see into every room on our way to our room. When we entered, the bathroom window was open so we closed it and left. When we got back, the room stunk so bad like a cats litter box. We turned on the heat and opened the window again and the smell coming from the heater mixed with the cat smell was atrocious. Not sure which smell was worse. The room is not clean at all either. The worse was the shower drain did not drain so everyone in the room had to stand in a full tub of dirty water to shower in. Stay away from this hotel. They also charge for parking which is not listed on the site and not told when you check in.
