The community kitchen was well organized.
Easy to organise, nice room and shared spaces. Fridge organized for multiple rooms was good. Hot tub is good also. Walkable to cafes and shops. Only negatives.. no desk, in case you need to work or use a laptop. My wife found the sheets a little itchy.
Quiet clean accommodation within easy walking distance of the town.
We traveled with another couple and liked that we had our own private room and bath yet had a common kitchen to share.
Very nice place to stay. Clean rooms and a large shared kitchen. Only complaint is that the wifi didn’t work and it prevented me from getting some critical work done.
There were hairs everywhere… in the bed on the ‘clean’ linen (I’m not sure if it had been changed), in the shower shower walls, bathroom floor, bedroom carpet and on the towels - it made me so worried about what I couldn’t see that I slept in my clothes! On the plus side the garden is nice, but outdoor furniture and deck looked really tired.
Very comfortable small hotel a short walk from downtown in a lovely stream side neighborhood. Complete guest kitchen and outdoor space with hot tub. Great choice for a visit to Wanaka
A very clean, small property with communal kitchen. Easy reach to town and restaurants.
No reception, no service , no desk in the room , it is not worth the price I paid
Private, our own private deck, beautiful gardens/landscaping, clean, updated, great community spaces,
Wanaka is beautiful
Great place. Great location. Beautiful views. Everything close by. Hot tub was great after long climb up to Roy's peak!!
Overall an excellent place to stay, hence our multiple repeat stays. The lack of milk (it was over a week past use by date) for the tea & coffee supply, and only 6 coat hangers fro two people on a ski trip (you need a minimum of 6 each!) detracts from what is otherwise really very good.
My partner and I stayed there for 2 nights. It has a big communal fully-equipped kitchen opening out onto beautiful outdoor area and garden. It also has a beautifully decorated communal lounge. We had a mountain view room with our own outdoor sitting area. The room was large and comfortable. Our room didn’t get serviced during our stay so we had to take the rubbish to the kitchen and get clean mugs and glasses from the kitchen ourselves. Please note that this didn’t bother us. The location was great with walking distance to town centre. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
A short walk to the lake and restaurants. Pretty gardens, very quiet and staff was very friendly.
It had the feel of a home. Very nice common areas. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no ac so the room was initially a little warm. We opened the windows and it cooled down nicely. By shutting the windows and curtains in the morning the room stayed cool. The proximity to town was a plus.
An unexpected gem. Property was indeed set up lodge style with a comfortable living room and large, well equipped communal kitchen/living room which allowed some degree of interaction between what inevitably were interesting International travelers. Rooms with small patios plus a larger patio off the kitchen. An outdoor hot tub was available at no additional charge. Our room was compact ans very clean. An easy ten minute walk took us to the heart of Wanaka. Would return here next visit.
Great stay and Bridgette was a fabulous manager. Really enjoyed it and would come back
Convenient, close to Lake Wanaka.
Peaceful
Good instructions on how to gain entry, there was no lodge reception personnel. I was disappointed in the size of the bedroom and the smallest fridge in the main kitchen which was pretty full with other guests food. It wasn't till after packing away my food I discovered there was another fridge freezer available in the downstairs garage. Due to an elderly parent with me that wasn't a suitable arrangement. The grounds are stunning and if bigger the room was clean and well dressed.
Great location close to the town centre, but quiet and secluded. Would be excellent for a group of couples or friends wanting to stay together.
Lovely property. Managers were super helpful and friendly. Excellent facilities and really nice gardens. We will definitely be returning.
Lovely place to stay and great shared areas outdoor and indoors.
A perfect couple of days
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Wanaka Springs and would definitely visit again!
Lovely setting and well laid out facilities. So quiet but close enough to town to walk everywhere
Wish we could have stayed for longer!
The lodge is beautiful. The garden is really peaceful and private. The hot tub an added bonus. The location is great - easy 5 minute walk to the lake/pubs/restaurants. Can’t fault it and would happily stay again.
Was very quiet location, but walking distance to centre.
We spent 3 nights in Wanaka Springs lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was amazing, the view is fantastic, the hot tub is divine, and Suzanne is a fantastic host - very accommodating and helpful. The facilities were excellent - we were on our honeymoon so did very minimal cooking but it would definitely suit the needs of a family or anyone needing to do meal prep.
Lovely room and a short walk into the heart of Wanaka. The hosts weren't present when I checked in, but they went out of their way to make themselves known and give us a warm welcome. Very appreciated.
A very warm and friendly atmosphere. The owners were friendly and had lots of information about the area. Our rooms were warm and very comfortable. We also appreciated the full equipped kitchen available.
Quiet, comfortable, cozy and private accommodation. Kitchen area with outdoor decking. Lounge area with fire. This was a great place to stay, walking distance to town and the lake.
Excellent location, easy access, great room. Excellent communication, manager very pleasant and made us very welcomed.
Quiet and peaceful.
Brilliant location. Gorgeous deck. Excellent beds. Immaculate!
Very nice and helpful staff, All kitchen amenities available just like at home. Comfortable bed Only one comment was that there was no microwave in the kitchen. Otherwise all good. Very close to the lake and other amenities
Fantastic accommodation. Great location 5 mins walk to town and exceptional service from the lodge manager Cameron. The outdoor spa was a great bonus!
The lodge has wonderful kitchen facilities, perfect as a base for adventures. The hot tub is an added bonus wth an amazing view of the mountains.
This was weird. We self checked in and out. Never saw a staff member. Our room wasn’t serviced... which wasn’t a huge problem as it was only a two night stay. However we phoned the number supplied and left a message on the first night as our TV didn’t work. We had no response over the two days.
Close to town. Property was clean and tidy. But could hear nose from other rooms
Great location, clean, tidy rooms, best linen, nice outdoor area and full kitchen facilities to use.
Loved the setting and privacy, our room had a lovely outlook
This is the best property I have stayed at in Wanaka and will happily book again. Close to town so walking is easy. Well maintained and lovely gardens. Quiet and private. Comfy bed and good bathroom.
our room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed using the spa. Robes and towels are provided. It is a five minute walk into town for dining options.
It was so quiet yet close enough to walk to the shops.
Close to the town, well appointed rooms, has a communal kitchen, our room also had tea and coffee making facilities
Nice peaceful location yet easy walking distance to town. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
Check in was a very short window which we managed to get there for but especially difficult when travelling from the West Coast as there is lots to see and also not very much cellphone coverage if you happened to be running late. Room was nice and so was the whole lodge. To me it wasn't clear we were getting those facilities too when we booked. Great shower in our room and the deck was lovely and great views.
'Home away from home'
'Home away from home' with shared kitchen/dining, walking distance to lake shore, spotlessly clean, beautiful outdoor space with covered spa. Private and quiet. Definitely recommend.
Lovely lodge, spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed. My room also had a great view and only a few minutes walk from town. Fraser and Ann were lovely hosts.
A great place on a quiet street just 2 blocks from central Wanaka. Immaculate comfortable room with a patio. Lovely spa in the garden. Great cooked breakfast. Friendly hosts.
Good greeting on arrival from host and well appointed room, nice location but having been told about the hot tub we went to look at it and found access overgrown and steps need sweeping and cover was very dirty so although water warm did not use as concerned about maintenance. Breakfast service quite early as finishes at 9.00am even on Sundays, stayed 2 nights and shower gel not replenished and no spare toilet roll in bathroom, priced as a boutique hotel but not quite there, attention to detail is important
Friendly Warm Location
Property was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a washer and dryer on site which you can use for nominal fee. Walk into town is under 5 minutes. Note that the property has no air conditioning which can be rough on some of the hotter summer evenings.
Great place and location. Clean well appointed and friendly. Stayed an extra night because of the lodge and the area.
Fresh water stream, Tired room. Unappealing dining area.
Liked everything. Great place to stay! Friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful rooms. Loved it!
Bed and great breakfast
This was an excellent place to stay. We had only booked one night but added another night after getting there. The room was great but the breakfast was outstanding!
Beautiful gardens and flowing spring. Comfortable room with deck chairs on our own patio.
Great place and friendly hosts
My stay here was excellent and without fault. The room was excellent, really modern and with everything you would need. The hosts were fabulous, really welcoming but also left you to your privacy when you wanted it. Great breakfast in the morning too, would certainly stay again!
A bit away from the central area, but within a short walking distance...so, it's quiet. The garden on the premise is lovely. Staff is friendly, and the breakfast is sumptuous, with choices of freshly prepared hot meals.
A lovely, comfortable, quiet spot with gardens and a hot tub for use. Snd a beautiful view of the mountains. Our hosts also provided an excellent homemade breakfast. It’s a short walk to restaurants snd shops and the lake. Highly recommended. We’d definitely stay again.
Friendly owners, nice view, good breakfast, convenient location
Great little place to explore wanaka. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! (Go for the creamed mushrooms). Would definitely recommend.
I do like the location of the property as it is very quiet and a short view of lake and mountain of Wanaka. The keeper is really a nice man with good cooking and service attitude. Eventually, this is a satisfied room I had.
This was the best BnB we have ever stayed in. The room was immaculate and so well equipped - the hosts really had thought of everything! The hot tub in the garden was so relaxing with amazing views. We will definitely stay again next time we visit and cannot recommend it enough :)
Convenient hideaway
Our hosts were very pleasant. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Our room was nice, though a little chilly even with the heaters. The hot tub was nice for relaxation each evening. The location was amazing, just a quick walk down to the area of restaurants and shops.
Being within easy walking distance of the lakefront eateries was important to us. Breakfast was really good and great service by the very friendly hosts made our stay enjoyable.
We really liked staying with Fraser and Ann. Lovely room and decoration and the bed was very comfy. Great breakfast.
Fraser and Annie were lovely hosts who were very welcoming without being overbearing. The room was well layed out and provided everything you would expect. Shower pressure was good, however like most hotels I found the temperature to be a bit unstable. My only real minor issue was the toilet paper, one very thin ply. Breakfast was delicious and had many hot and cold options. The scrambled eggs were the best my husband has had for a very long time!
The hospitality and property was excellent. Frazier went out of his way to look after us.
What an exceptional little gem!! A lovely place, peaceful and quiet. Staff is superb. The lounge area feels homey. And it's a short walk to town.
Home away from home
Great stay at Wanaka Springs Lodge. Hosts very welcoming and extremely helpful. Comfortable and felt at home
Owners were very friendly and accommodating on arrival and gave us some helpful tips for our visit in Wanaka. Our room was clean, comfortable and easy to access town and sights and we utilised the spa on the property
We loved our time at Wanaka Springs Lodge! Frazier and Ann greeted us upon arrival and checked us in to our room. You can tell they really put their heart and soul into running their bed and breakfast. The amenities were amazing and we took advantage of the hot tub! The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. They added thoughtful touches such as coffee maker, water, and robes for the hot tub. We even received a home cooked breakfast in the morning! The location was convenient for walking into town and parking was included. We felt safe and would not hesitate to recommend wanaka Springs lodge to any travelers!!
Great find
Great location, good value and fabulous breakfast! Try the mushrooms and their range of local honey
Great location with beautiful views
Very friendly hosts, lovely views and garden, great location
Good location, excellent hosts and immaculate conditions
We had the loveliest stay at Wanaka Springs Lodge! Fraser and Anne are 2 of the loveliest people. The rooms were spacious and functional, beds so comfortable and the sun on the roomy balcony was a bonus. We will definitely be staying here again when we go back to Wanaka.
Wanaka Springs lodge is the best.
We had a fabulous stay. There are so many nice touches in the lodge, a deck for each room, gardens, delicious breakfast, and comfortable rooms. Frazier and Ann were wonderful hosts. Not enough superlatives for Wanaka Springs Lodge.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts supplied were fantastic. Short walk to town centre, shops and cafes, restaurants, cinema, lake. Overall wonderful stay at Wanaka.
Due to the Franz Josef bridge incident, we had a change of plans. We decided to stay at Wanaka Springs Lodge for a few nights. We were pleased with the location and convenience to town. Anne and Fraser were wonderful hosts, providing all kinds of recommendations for activities and restaurants. We enjoyed using the hot spa one evening, and used the robe and slippers provided to get back and forth. The refrigerator/freezer downstairs was nice to store our ice block and wines. Breakfast was great. They offered many different hot meal options, including French toast and an egg breakfast sandwich. The only negative I have to give is that the king size bed was too hard for our liking. The linens and everything else were great. Overall a wonderful place to stay.
A very classy hotel set on the edge of a beautiful town. Very friendly and helpful hosts. A high standard of rooms with a peaceful garden where you can sit and enjoy the views and the bubbling stream. An oasis of relaxation.
Great property and very nice. Owners where great! Walking distance to town.
Beautiful lodge with lovely owners! Delicious breakfast and easy walk to town.
We loved the warm welcome, delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms with outdoor decks, and the hot tub. We also appreciated the hosts' assistance with restaurant recommendations which were flawless and his help with reservations.
Great hosts Lovely breakfast Inviting hot top Close to town
Owners were warm and welcoming. Room was clean but small. Breakfast was lovely
Comfortable room within easy walking distance to town. Atmosphere not particularly friendly, and innkeepers not very friendly or helpful.
Overall ok hotel. Hot tub was broken. Host were very friendly.
Poor stay overall
The room is really small. We have 3 luggages it left us no room to walk or sit. The wall heater unit make the room really dry. Stayed there for two nights. Worst experience in new Zealand. The price was quite high compared with every other hotel we stayed in new Zealand.
Really love this place, make me feel like back home
Beautiful boutique hotel. Great location--walk to the water, stores, restaurants. Friendly hosts.
Service was terrible. Have never been to a hotel, lodge, airbnb or any accommodation business where you had to be there by a certain time, this case 7pm or you were out of luck.
Cooked breakfast - delicious. Well done Fraser
Nice B&B for a short stay
Near the town, nice breakfast with good hospitality severed. But since we late checked in on that night and we can’t see the building clearly in very dark area, the given envelope information just only have the room name instead of clear room Map, we spent time to find our room location.
Excellent place to stay. Quiet cul de sac location, short walk to beach and all town amenities, very friendly and welcoming owners - an all round great experience!
My must stay place in Wanaka!!!
Most amazing place to stay. The Hosts Fraser and Anne are so wonderful. WiFi worked really well, breakfast was fresh and cooked by Fraser everyday. It’s like stay at home with some wonderful hosts taking care of you. Thank good you Fraser and Anne for your warm hospitality.
Incredible little gem of a place to stay in Wanaka
This is a great little place to stay in Wanaka. It’s quaint and quiet and the hosts Fraser and Ann are delightful and helpful. Breakfast is outstanding. WiFi is really good which is kind of hard to find in NZ. Overall an excellent place to lay your head. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Wanaka!
A nice and comfortable lodge house
Within proximity to shops, waterfront and ski resort buses. Very friendly and nice lodge operators. Excellent breakfast and comfort room. Warm and clean. A small point: only 2 power points in the room, sometimes not enough for charging camera batteries and devices. Still very highly recommended
Excellent!
Great location, excellent facilities and lovely hosts. I'll definitely be returning.
Lovely Bed and Breakfast
Stayed two nights and we totally enjoyed our time there. We felt at home kind of like staying with family, unlike at a hotel. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and morning conversations with our awesome host. Wish we could have stayed a couple more days. King Room suite with private bathroom was perfect. Room also has a deck with views of a nice garden and a natural spring stream running through the garden with ducks. Wish we had time to use the hot tub.

Definitely not boutique
We were quite disappointed with the accommodation. Your key is pinned on a noticeboard outside when you arrive. There is no reception & the room wasn’t serviced at all while we were there. This all felt very impersonal. The facilities were okay, apart from the laundry. There was a shared washing machine in the garage, but no tumble dryer & one drying rack for all of the rooms. It felt to us like a lot of money for something that was definitely not 'boutique '
