Toni the manager was terrific. Very friendly and helpful as we're all of her staff. Coffee and breakfast were delicious and my room was nice and clean and the shower was hot! Would stay there again.
Great place to stay.
Very friendly staff and great location in the heart of town. Enjoyed being able to pop downstairs for a bite to eat and a drink by the fire.
We were out early but the time we had was exactly what we needed comfortable warm bed
Appreciate that I came at a busy time with the GS BMW Safari Rally participants dropping by for lunch. Staff were amazingly fast at serving. Room and common areas unique and character filled. Thanks.
Clean, bed comfortable, hostess very pleasant, however the carpet in our room was very creased had to be careful not to trip ,back of one chair was wobbly and past it’s use by date ,the carpet on the stairs was creased and had a rip in it , again you had to be very careful negotiating the stairs
This is my favourite location to stay in Walcha as I’m into motorcycle riding and it caters for like minded travelers so the banter is great with fellow guests. The food and drink is great however the town was limited with dining out options throughout Easter.
Can't wait to return
The staff were excellent with quick service. Great little friendly hotel with off street parking and secured sheds for motorcycles. Motorcycle friendly Balcony is some rooms. Free tea and coffee for guests. Nice garden seating. Very obliging Manager on site
Very welcoming
Great quirky decor!
Decode was about 70years old
The Walcha Royal is a motorcycle friendly destination with exceptionally lovely staff.
Great spot, great people, everything you need and more.
Great character rooms, really comfy bed, room was quiet and warm. Perfect night away,.
I like the friendly service staff was very welcoming, I like the unique setting loved the sculptures, antiques, location & food. I would definitely visit again 😀
I enjoyed the hopsitality
Very rustic . You are staying in a piece of history . Loved all the memorabilia of years gone by . The gardens are lovely . The property is showing its age .
Great place to stay very friendly and welcoming hosts…would recommend to anyone visiting Walcha
The accommodation was conveniently located and the staff was very helpful on our late arrival
Best accommodation in Walcha
Room was not serviced daily. No clean towels for 3 days
Happy place great food and hospitality can’t recommend highly enough
The staff were so very kind and helpful especially as I couldnt manage the stairs very well. They went out of their way to assist me in organising carrying my bag and carrying some dinner up to the little tea room where I was able to eat and not have to transverse the stairs too many times. The bedroom was comfotable, the bed beautifully made, electric blanket which made the bed extra cosy...lovely fires in the sitting room and dining room. All very cosy. Everyone so friendly. Would stay there again. Thank you them all.
It is a small older hotel. I had a larger room with a double bed. The bed was very comfortable .I did not mind walking 8 m to the toilet and shower but women would possibly find it inconvenient. Downstairs was a wood fuel fire that was very cosy in July. There was a small coffee shop as well that was clean with snacks. The hotel is very close to the main shopping area. I would stay there again if by myself. I would recommend room number 1 as it is larger, opens to the balcony and overlooks the street.
Quaint, comfy and friendly
It’s got great staff
A lovely old building with comfortable older style rooms, friendly staff and a choice of areas to sit to enjoy a drink, food or read a book. Would stay there again.
Bedroom needs a coat of paint ,bathrooms dilapidated ,however proprietor was very welcoming ,upstairs of the property needs lots of TLC
Friendly value
I spent a night here, checking in at the last minute. The proprietor was helpful and friendly. It's not a luxury place but for the price it is excellent. A great breakfast the next day at the co-located cafe.
Welcoming host, great rooms excellent food in a lovely setting
Always an absolute pleasure to stay here. Toni is a beautiful person and very accommodating to people on motorbikes. Thank you again for a lovely piece of your world. Until next time
I loved everything! From the second I walked in the door to the second I left, I was greeted so warmly and treated with so much respect! The beds were so comfortable and the place was all round 10/10! Will definitely be visiting again. :)
Fantastic place to stay full of history and classic bike memorabilia. Toni (sorry if I spelt it wrong) was an absolute delight and made us feel very welcome. She was straight outside on our arrival to provide secure parking for our bikes. Our room was lovely and comfortable which was a welcome after a full day riding. Would highly recommend staying here!
Great cafe on site. Friendly staff. Lots of interesting collectables to look at.
nice place, nice people, lots of nostalgia
For a different experience that is novel, enjoyable and clean, this is the place to go Owner and staff down to earth and friendly.

Really interesting place, loved the motorcycle theme and decor. Wonderful friendly hospitality
Was a highlight of a great motorbike trip. From the 53 Triumph Tiger and BSA on display in the foyer to the secure bike parking I knew I was in the right place. Thanks and see you again.

Old style accommodation. Very friendly staff. We were able to park our motorbikes in an old garage out of the way. Good meal last night. Looking forward to a country-style breakfast.
Very welcoming and friendly owners and staff. Motorcycle friendly. Good stopover point for scenic rides.
Great accomodation, great hosts, definitely recommend.

very welcoming and comfortable they called us toward the start of our trip, and asked how they could help they had the slow-combustion log fire going - cosy and warm on arrival, and offered supper ready for our later arrival Breakfast was a hearty country big Aussie breakfast with lovely thick toast
