Lovely Hotel

We stayed for 5 nights and loved this hotel, staff super friendly the rooms are excellent the daily room servicing was excellent and the location is pretty close to everything and public transport, Very comfortable beds and quiet location, having the balcony room worked very well for us, overall we loved Madrid being first time visitors and would stay here again if we come back to Madrid

This is the fourth time we stay in this wonderful property where we just feel at home. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a kitchenette and coffee expresso machine. Very clean and comfy beds. Muy bien The street is very quiet and in an excellent location. All the staff are very friendly and attentive with very quick response to all you needs. We will be back soon !!!

The hotel is like being in your own private condo in a quiet area of the Salamanca neighborhood. Many nice stores and restaurants around. Still you can walk to the Madrid historic Center and museums The restaurant only offers breakfast but has plenty of choices and rightly priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming! The hotel was fitted out perfectly. We loved our stay.

Excellent property in a very quite and centric street with large modern rooms with all amenities. The staff is extremely friendly making you feel at home. This is our second stay and we will be back in October! Best place to stay in Madrid !!!

We loved the hotel - friendly staff, especially in the breakfast room. Our Room 406 was amazing! So large and comfortable, extremely quiet. The hotel is in a great location to walk to everything and the street is very quiet and charming.

Great, would recommend. Especially appreciated that they let me check in several hours early on the day I arrived.

The staff was very nice and accommodating with allowing me to check in early. The room was big and I loved the kitchenette which gave me an option to buy snacks or food so I can cook. The hotel is in a quiet area but not a far walk from Plaza Mayor, Sol, and the shopping area. Will definitely book my stay again.

A great 4 day stay! Staff was helpful in suggesting places to eat near the hotel and arranging a cab to the airport. Room was large and comfortable. The area was beautiful and easy to walk to most places in the city!

The check-in experience was EXTREMELY disappointing. We purchase an extra night so that when we arrived at the hotel really early in the morning our room would be available; however the room that was assigned to us was NOT the one that we had reserved and it was an up-hill battle to get our reserved room. As if we had not already paid for it, we had to wait until the room became available after 3:00 PM. The hotel assigned us a lower category and visibly much smaller room, even though in both the hotel's website and the Expedia website, the room we had reserved was entirely different. Hence, we had to wait in a room that was not our reserved room until the one we reserved was available. The manager did agree to move us to the room we had reserved, as shown in all the pictures and the description of the room in Expedia and in their own website, but he was reluctant, and in fact he did not budge, in compensating us for their error, our discomfort, and the interruption of our planned event that day. The manager did not offer any type of compensation of any kind as a gesture of their willingness to make their wrong right. Hence, this is a hotel I will never return to. They failed us, and they charged us for a room that was not the one we reserved, even when they knew we had purchased that extra night. The manager displayed complete disregard for acceptable customer care.

The hotel room was great and the bed and sheets incredibly confortable. The location is fantastic in a short and small street but few meters from Serrano Avenue, which is the hearth of the Salamanca District.

Front desk personnel very helpful in securing reservations. calling taxis and suggesting restaurants.Standard double Room had a kitchen, a couch and great bathroom. There was some street noise late at night.

Our stay at Jardin de Recoletos

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well situated on a quiet street in easy walking distance to many historical sites. There are many restaurants nearby and the breakfast in the hotel was very enjoyable. Our suite had access to a veranda and we used this to enjoy cured ham, cheese and wine on our last evening. A very relaxing time.

First time here, good hotel , big room , perfect location for shopping and dining , will stay here again.

Lovely hotel

Loved this little hotel. Tucked away on a quiet street in a nice part of town. Easily accessible to metro and monuments. Wonderful staff who were always helpful and forgiving of my poor Spanish language skills. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!

This hotel is a gem, truly. Located in the best area of Madrid, close to high-end shopping & restaurants and yet far away from the craziness a city center offers. The staff members of the hotel were very friendly, the rooms are updated, very clean & with a great size; I must mention that has a little kitchen and supplies if a longer stay is needed. The breakfasts are outstanding too, make sure you include them as well! I was pleasantly surprised and I would stay there every time I go to Madrid. This is the best choice, you don’t need to look further.

A few days in Madrid

Excellent accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our suite contained a small hot plate and dishes, so it was convenient for a quick breakfast. A little outside of the downtown area, but quiet and just a short cab ride downtown. It is also very close to the park which is just a short walk. Enjoyed the stay very much.

This Hotel es perfectly located in one of the best parts or Madrid, and yet is on a discreet little street. You can have access to all sorts of interesting destinations for shopping or entertainment. The Staff is helpful and well informed, and the facilities are well kept and clean. However, the restaurant that is "part" of the hotel (serves guests but technically belongs to a different company) is understaffed (though they try their best) and is relatively expensive for snacks. Also the Wi-Fi service is among the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel. Also the shower cabin becomes slippery when wet and lacks rough surface to make it safer.

Overall a great hotel and staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with great amenities. Excellent location on a quiet street close to Parque del Retiro, Calle de Serrano for shopping and many excellent restaurants and museums within 5-10 min walk.

I chose this hotel because it was advertised as having a small small garden used for dining, drinks etc As I wanted a relaxing place with onsite facilities. Unfortunately the pictures were misleading as the whole area was covered with a conservatory like structure which was used by the next door restaurant. Whilst this restaurant could be accessed via the hotel it seemed to me not to be owned by them. During my stay it was closed. The explanation was that they had been short staffed so the owner had gone on holiday! There was therefore no onsite room service and no restaurant to get any refreshment in during the day. Only breakfast served between 8.30-11.30am. This was a bit like Fawlty towers as there was no menu and the server took it upon themselves to decide what one would like. This included burnt toast without butter or jam dry scrambled egg and pineapple which had brown bits on it. Even the coffee was limited to one cup and I had to ask for another. The server's English was limited because when I asked for jam they bought me several types of cold meats! The hotel did provide access to an outside takeaway meal service which was adequate but I would have preferred and expected onsite service. The 'suite' itself was ok and was more or less what was expected. The carpet in corridors was dirty . I did complain that they were not providing the services as advertised and was told that I could move hotels and I could get a refund no offer of any reduction in price

Front desk staff was extremely helpful from suggestions for shopping to help printing necessary CDC paperwork and procuring transportation to the airport, will only stay here when I travel to Madrid in the future and recommend to all my friends and business acquaintances

Good comfortable place to stay

Excellent location, just off Serrano and a couple of blocks from Retiro park on a very quiet street. Room was very big and clean. Nice bathroom, useful kitchenette. Staff very friendly. Decor a bit dated. Lots of good restaurants around.

This hotel has excellent and efficient staff, who are always attentive and ready to help. The standard room is large, with a great small refrigerator, excellent lighting (a rarity in most hotels), outstanding central heating/air conditioning individual room temperature control, and nice furniture. For me, the few drawbacks are the desk chair (too low and there is no way of controlling the height), the hair dryer (you have to press the button to keep it on, quite an inconvenient system), and the bed was too hard (but it was fine for my husband). The location is very convenient, on a quiet street and within walking distance (if you like to walk) of the major museums, and very economical if you take a Uber (average of $3.50 euros to most places nearby). It is a great place to stay.

Love the hotel!!!! Very nice staff. Very centric and lots of place around to eat and shopping. You can walk everywhere from there. Only thing I didn’t like Was that the garden was under management and I couldn’t enjoy it. The view from my room was to the construction.

It was in an excellent location private quiet. Close to the high end shops. Rooms were modern and spacious. The staff was also courteous and helpful in telling us the right direction for sites. Good italian Restsurant Flavia next to the hotel. There is also an inside parking lot. I would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is well located however needs lots of improvements to reach a four stars hotel, in my opinion. Interior design and decoration could improve in the rooms and the bathrooms, the lighting isn’t quite good, the halls look like a cheap apartment building. There’s quite a lot to improve in general.

Great hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom facilities were excellent. However, there was no complimentary tea or coffee which was disappointing.

Comfortable hotel in Central Madrid

It is located on a quiet road, 5 min walking to the Jardines de las Delicias, 15 min to Prado, 25min to plaza Mayor. Modern, spacious room, which even included a kitchenette. Complementary drinks in the fridge. Huge bed with a very good mattress Clean throughout. Very good wifi, plenty of sockets. Delicious breakfast and professional service.

Such wonderful, welcoming. Staff in the hotel and the restaurant. The room was clean and beautiful. I loved having the balcony to bring in the sunshine. The restaurant has a great menu. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is excellently located within walking distance of so many of Madrid's galleries, markets and must-visit areas including the great bars and restaurants of Chueca. Customer service was outstanding, we were warmly welcomed and staff were patient and helpful with all and any questions and requests.Breakfast was outstanding. We cannot recommend this hotel too highly.

This is an extremely nice hotel centrally located in Madrid. It’s on a side street so there’s not a lot of ambient noise, and my room was both modern and comfortable.

We arrived in the morning and were put in a room immediately. Didn’t have to wait until check in time.

As We booked thru Expedia and had to cancel, we were not able to get a refund despite giving a week’s notice.

The location of the property was excellent, close to main attractions and yet on a quiet street. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, although the service in the restaurant was only moderately pleasant and extremely slow during busy and quiet periods. We left the restaurant on one occasion as we grew tired of waiting for a drink/dinner order to be taken. There were only a couple of other tables of guests at the restaurant on this occasion. Another time we stayed for drinks, but due to slow service we left and had dinner elsewhere.

We were expecting a balcony but this turned out to be patio doors opening onto a ledge so not somewhere you could sit out on. (This was probably a translation issue but worth noting)

Lovely hotel in excellent location. Easy walking to palace, Prado and next to Archaeological Museum. Tons of shopping and restaurants nearby as is the beautiful Refuro Park. Staff were absolutely fabulous and allowed us to check in at 12:30pm . A huge relief after a long flight. Lots of choices for breakfast and room was very quiet. I would have liked a softer pillow but my husband thought it was great. Maybe more choices of pillows would be a suggestion. Would definitely stay there again!

The person that checked us in told us that the room was quite. That was farther from the truth. It was very noisy in the middle of the night. We were right above the main entrance to the hotel.
