Love the beach area with snorkeling right on site, only issue was the soda fountain was always limited on options and what they offer was either not set up correctly or out of stock.
Toilets did not work. We paid for one king size bed and was given twin beds. I had to spend two hours to resolve the problem, yet was not given a late check out.
1: I didn’t get the accommodations I paid for 2: The unit I was in smelled like sewage 3: some of the people at the reception desk were not friendly or had enough tactics to deal with people (very rude) 4: after days of me trying to get the problem resolved by talking to different people, managers the problem never got resolved 5: when they finally have the time to get to my difficulties it was too late to change rooms I got here on Thursday to leave on Wednesday they asked me if I wanted to move to a different room on Monday afternoon, by then what was the purpose of moving for just a day. So overall I am very disappointed with this property; I don’t know if I will come back to this specific one next time.
Meh
The property os beautiful. The beach is beautiful. The food and service is thrash. Like not even worth eating. The worst good I ever ate. Stale and old food. At least the rooms and the views are great. This hotel is like a cruise on land. The service is also poor. Never felt welcomed and no one looks happy to be there.
Beach bungalow is only way to book this property! Amazing to be able to sit on porch at ocean and walk right onto beach. Caribbean water is great, very clear, snorkeling is good, very enjoyable swimming for all ages. No seaweed!!! Food needs improvements, buffets and sit down restaurants are average at best. Reservation restaurants were just dressed up buffet selections. Didn’t like the full self-service thing they have going on with buffet, I understand there is a lot of people but I spent more time getting my family drinks, tracking down napkins/utensils than I did eating. At least have tables turned around quickly. Seemed understaffed. Pools were too small for amount of people here. The set up with resort and it’s VIP/Super VIP was confusing and annoying so we just went anywhere we wanted, I’m fairly certain we sat in VIP area of entire stay. This place is very loud at night and blasts music until midnight at least. Didn’t like that there were no shade options outside of VIP areas on beach, people just huddle up around trees and put their towels on prime chairs to not be there the entire day. No shade at pools either. English is the least spoken language here, it’s a European resort chain, which took getting used to with questions. Traveled with spouse, 5yr old and infant. Overall the ocean bungalow room and convenience to everything made up for negatives. Many average/negative reviews for this place are accurate though FWIW. It’s like 7/10 resort that could better.
Probably the worst all inclusiv in Bayahibe. Avoid
The checkin was a madness. Coming for a quick vacation from our wedding, they wouldnt accept any Id (driver license from US nor Dominican, fireman dept id, nothing): they wanted the local id (expired due to this year president elections and were all expired) so I had to go back to the city (2h drive) to get my passport just for them to “take a copy”, which i gave them and wouldnt accept. To reserve a spot for 2 on ANY of the restaurants was impossible: everything was full. Had to eat at the buffet the 3 days even after spending 950us for the stay. The buffet food is incredibly bad. Out of the 10 restautants available, 7 you had to PAY EXTRA 12.5usd to reserve, what a joke of all inclusive resort is this. The TV was from the f 80s or something (see picture, from jurassic world playing). Im just surprised how disappointing this hotel is. There are much better options in Bayahibe, probably lole Catalonia. I would not recommend AT ALL this hotel with so many better options that are really all inclusive, unlike this.
This property has the most beautiful beach and pools with plenty of chairs. It is clean and well maintained. They are seriously understaffed with the evening buffet actually not having food out first evening- it was picked clean. We ate at the ala carte restaurants in the evening all other dinners and we were happy. The line for the bar is deep because there is is one person tending bar and four people washing cups. Count on the fact your room won’t be ready- my husband says it part of the experience. Some employees can be really rude - but there are others who really make up for it. We’ve stayed at the property six or seven times over the past decade. We love the beach - it’s the best!
The food was very bad and the waiters did not even pay attention to the spoon they put on the table, they had a lot of attitude towards the customers, there is no hygiene
Check in and check out waited an hour and check out over a half hour. No sense of urgency to have guests check in or out.
Although the place is beautiful I have various complaint. I tried to cancel the stay 4 days prior to arrival. I was tossed into a game between Expedia and the hotel about refund; even when I showed the hotel the communication everyone was placing the blame on the other.
The resort is wonderful. Only drawback for us was that it does not really cater to English-speaking guests. Would recommend for guests from France, Italy or South America.
We had a wonderful time, definitely recommend!
Good
it takes you 15 mins to get a drink from bar quality of drinks so poor open buffet was not organized and flies all around foods room design is so old we have seen many cockroaches and lizard at home my wife couldn’t sleep at all and hotel is so crowded like 3000 guests
I stayed here with my boyfriend and we got the ocean view bungalow room 1112 and it it was amazing right on the beach, so we never had to got get a lounger we had it it all. The room was good but to be honest we don't really care about all the room stuff since we don't spend a lot of time in there anyways so it was a nice room but nothing over the top at all. The only thing I would like is to have a stocked mini bar and more bottle water, we had to keep asking for more waters. The beach is very well maintained and the water was just amazing. You could walk on the beach to the other resorts and check them out if you wanted. The only thing I did not like is that they only allow you to make 2 reservations to the restaurants per stay after that its only the buffet dinning. The food was okay nothing to brag about other then the restaurant called 25 that was just amazing food. the drinks are good and they get better if you tip just a fyi we noticed some more like a lot of people not tipping them, so when we did our drinks were so much better. Also this was not mention when I read the reviews before staying here, brush up on your Spanish, a lot of staff there dose not speak any English. Thankfully I had translation app so it was a little easier but a hassle at the same time. So my boyfriend and I downloaded babble since we do travel a lot and we love the Dominican Republic. So if you are looking for a vacation place I would recommend this place. We are defiantly coming back.
That’s was amazing I had a wonderful moments with my family over there my kids loved it
Overall beautiful property with multiple restaurants right outside the property. Private beach is beautiful.
I have been to this property three times. I was married there five years ago and they did a phenomenal job then. When I returned this time they upgraded my room sent my wife and I a bottle of wine and some fruit. Some of the cleaners that clean the rooms decided to put flowers on the bed which my wife really loved. As I said I've been there three times I don't think I need to describe how unbelievable the property and services are there or I wouldn't be there three times. I have been recommending Viva Wyndham dominicus resort to many friends for many years now because I think it is a very large and beautiful resort with many things to do good for kids or adults water sports palm trees Beach Sun food staff everything is top notch and I probably will be going back there again and again. I want to give a special shout out to Freidilina, for making our stay wonderful as well as the manager for upgrading our room, and the cleaning staff.
good
The best entertainment in the area
Spoiled vacation
We and our friends stayed in this hotel in February 2021 and we liked it, so we decided to spend our vacation here this year as well. Not as good as before… 1. Did not get rooms in the same bungalow. 2. Wi-Fi was not working inside the rooms. 3. Our room AC was working only intermittently (4-5 hours a day) for 4 Days. 4. Multiple requests to change rooms were denied. 5. No compensation for non-working AC was provided. 6. Our request to speak with management was denied.
Service was awful, lazy, unhelpful. The room very outdated, bathroom was dirty, no shelfs to put anything in the shower. Food was the same every single day, no variety, otherwise tasty, but you get tired of eating the same food. We went to a paid restaurant, where kids pay half price of the adult. You book through the app and it automatically asignes the people that are registered to the room which are two adults and two kids. They charged us for 4 adults anyway and refused to correct it. My husband refused to argue and just paid it, but the whole thing was ridiculous.
Beach was excellent
Good property, excellent beach, good pool but Bad service, bad food.
The property is very clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful time! Shout out to Julio for being so awesome to my family 💞 only downer is the food options at the buffet I feel they need to bring in other options as far meats and sides!!
Excellent Resort
Front desk staff was not very welcoming. He didn’t guide us properly or inform us of anything. My fiancè bracelet broke off but had it on his swimsuit packet and the security person try to kick him out of the property even though my fiancé had showing him the bracelet, explaining to him that it had broken off. Very disappointed!
Overall it’s an average resort. The food at the buffet is alright, warm but not hot. The food at the a la carte restaurant was like 9/10, very good. We came from USA, didn’t really have issues with language. We know minimal Spanish phrases, most staff tried or knew English. The pools are cool, none of the hot tubs worked. The shows are very late. Don’t start till after 10pm. It is extremely loud at night. We stayed in a garden view bungalow. The music is loud and pounding till midnight 1 am ish. And you can hear it clearly in your room. Bring ear plugs! The room was ok, was supposed to have a king bed but didn’t. But we barely spent anytime in the room. The WiFi is really good on the beach and main pool areas/restaurants. WiFi did not work in our room. We always felt safe, and staff was friendly. Avoid the information/concierge area! We literally took the long way walking to avoid them, tried to get us to sit through the 5 hour sales pitch. Then called our room when we didn’t go! The shops are nice, have lots of good souvenirs. The gelato shop is good, it is extra money but it’s cheap. I found all the mixed drinks to be delicious, and had been asked by several bartenders if I wanted the drink strong! We did tip for housekeeping and dinners, but overall not many people were tipping at all. The La Hacienda 7 in 1 park excursion was great. It was so worth it for your money! $100 and you get to ride horses, zip line, safari, drive buggy’s in the forests. The other
Love the relaxing mode of the resort. Looove the hammock area and the restaurants. A few things can improve: service at bars and snack. Maintenance of toilet, pressure water in the shower. Club that sells rooms, too pushy for the guest to buy.
we were upgraded to Palace side. beach & the crystal clear ocean here is incomparable to any other hotels in the vicinity. it's not my first time at this facility & i am always so impressed with the quality & cleanliness of the food here, very healthy options with abundance of vegetables, also amazing dessert section. The staff at Palace side was very good, specially MS Tania at the front desk. we were staying at Beach front room with amazing view but the building was in the process of renovation & the AC was weak. so we were given a fan to support it. Other than that, everything was perfect. just right amount of entertainment, not too noisy all day. Again amazing turquoise ocean, clean beach, fantastic food. this is why I keep going back for years.
Not recommended
The only good thing was the beach. Accomodations are old, in bad shape and not clean. The food was terrible. The worse thing is change of conditions after the arrival. Not even a fair price.
Love the hotel the beach is really nice. Food is okay and the place is really fun
We loved our oceanview bungalow! It was so nice to walk right out to the beach with shade from the palms. The view from the infinity pools was amazing! The stores are affordable with snacks and all we needed. The Saona excursion was one of the most beautiful beach I have seen! I was not impressed with the food, just okay. The A/C stopped working each day with one of the bungalows so maintenance was working on it each day. Viva has a Hard working staff and we loved our stay!
It was a beautiful property and had lots to do. I had got one of the beach front bungalow and it was nice but the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was ok, not all that. Our room door had issues and our bathroom kept having issue to where they had to switch our room. Other wise than that it was a nice stay.
The rooms need some remodelations (battrooms). Just 2 water bottles per day at rooms. The staff was attentive but need more people around.
Pros: nice beach, clean hotel grounds, good staff. Cons: It took 5 rooms until we received a room that was advertised on pictures.. initially they gave us extremely old room equivalent to 1-2 star hotel. Also all entertainment is in Spanish as well as all staff communication.
Many of the staff were nice. The dancers and entertainers really make the property experience much better. The room I had was in a good location but a bit outdated. We had no running water at night after dancing at the events and there was construction happening early in the morning every day. Upon arrival, I had a baby crib in my room that I asked to be removed for 2 days. The food was also subpar as they served a lot of the same meals daily. It was a turn off that the resort charged for every little thing, like ice cream and replacement of your wrist band. Overall the resort is very beautiful but I would not be back. I would suggest giving a raise to the entertainers so they are happier.
I love this resort. It was the second time we have stayed here. I love the great beach, the people, the food, and the comfortable courtyard area. The only problem was the long time it took to check out of the property.
To be fair, the beach and water is fantastic! Our Bungalow on the beach was just a few steps away from the sand and the view was beautiful. However,if you’re going there to enjoy the food, look elsewhere. Sure you can poke around the buffet and find something, fresh fruit and pasta of some kind. If you want serenity, make sure you request a room/bungalow away from the main pool on the Beach side of the resort. LOUD music everyday towards late afternoon and then again night time up until midnight. I’m not a prude but it was over the top. When we first arrived, the ac in our room wasn’t working. We called the front desk to report it. They said they would send maintenance right away. 2 hours later and no one. My husband is a HVAC tech and knew what the issue was so we strolled to the front desk. They looked at us like we were crazy because “apparently “ the maintenance man had been there. We told them we were there the whole time and no one came. We requested a new room if this wasn’t fixed by the time we got back from dinner. NOT FIXED. Went to the front again, now we are patient but this is ridiculous. She radioed the guy and he was outside our bungalow. Hubby helped to fix it. Oh and you also will be hounded to attend a sit down so they can try to sell you a membership. Thousands and thousands of dollars, for 10-30 years locked in. I love the heat, sun and the beach so hubby, kids and I took the good with the bad. Most likely wouldn’t return. Will try another resort.
Having a bungalow right on the beach is super nice but the shower drains super slow because you are on sand and the air conditioning is severely lacking so it feels a little like camping but the location is worth it to the water. The food is honestly the worst I have had at any resort to date and surprisingly the buffet was significantly better than any of the restaurants we tried. It is also really annoying to have a VIP and SUPER VIP and sister resort only amenities. Just charge one price for everything and call it good. I was never asked once if I wanted a drink while around the pool or on the beach so you do save in tipping
I’ve been to many all inclusives and this one was very different in many negative ways. Here’s a list of things I wish I had known prior to booking: 1. Not all restaurants are included in your all inclusive package so you have to pay if you go. 2. You’re only allowed 3 dinner reservations in the restaurants per 7 day stay. Otherwise the buffets are your only dinner options. 3. The included alcohol and food is mediocre at best and this is coming from someone who isn’t a picky eater. 4. You have to pay $2/day in order to use the safe in your room. 5. Pools all close at 6:00pm. 6. No swim up bar. 7. There is no service on the beach or pools for drinks and food. 8. Resort is dated and room had small ants all over. 9. Very limited number of umbrellas by the pools so shade is scarce. 10. I was made to feel like a dirty pig by one of the housekeepers because the toilet in the bathroom by the shops didn’t flush when I tried so had to leave it. As I exited the stall, the maid was there and rudely said “we flush toilets here.” I told her it doesn’t flush so she went in there and said it was because of “too much toilet paper.” The kicker is I went back a few days later and tried the flush before using it and it didn’t work again so this is an ongoing problem in that bathroom. It’s completely unacceptable for an employee to make a paying guest feel bad for the resort’s plumbing issues. Will not be coming back to this resort again. I stayed in Iberostar next door in the
We arrived late in the evening, desk registrations stuff were very not friendly. We weren’t given tour of the property. Door key was not working and was not locking. For 4 people we got only 2 large towels. Food choices were limited, and tables weren’t cleaned on time for new guests. Access of “all inclusive resort” was very limited to 1/3 of it. Beach is very rocky and unsafe to walk on. Restrooms on the property very dirty and almost always clothed. Not English speaking friendly, communication mainly in Spanish.
The property beautiful, clean, good food staff friendly except front desk needs more training thank you for the cleaning staff and the the restaurant and buffet very friendly, great service. Only thing that I didn’t like people smoke everywhere should be a designated it place for smoking .
Nice place
This property was good in term of ecstatic beach was good there is only one pool the main pool fill with kids there is no swim bar with pool vibe a huge language barrier if you don’t speak Spanish, French no one speaks fluent English if you’re young English speaking person an especially a person of color don’t go save your money it completely not for us it Snow on the beach on the pool I wouldn’t recommend food is trash
Beautiful place but rooms and facility poorly maintained
This is the best resort
Good hotel with beautiful beaches
Stayed in a beach front bungalow near the Tiki Bar; it was perfect for a family of 4, 2 of which are teens. It was updated, clean and quiet. The resort is beautiful and very clean. The primary languages spoken were Spanish and Italian; very few people spoke English. The food was more European based, nothing fried and we found to be just mediocre although the buffet displays were beautiful. Epifanio and Juan in the information center were fantastic and very welcoming. Waddy in the water sports area was very helpful and kind in helping with kayaks and the catamaran.
I loved the entertainment.
Bungalow is not updated
staff service were not friendly and the room is terrible. The bathroom even missed a slide door, and the front door is in really bad condition
We were here two years ago and everything was very nice. However, upon coming back they have now went to a VIP or timeshare status. You will be approached several times a day about being a VIP member with them. They now have huge sections of the beach and the seating area outside roped off reserved for just the VIP leaving very little space for others. Very few people were in the VIP areas. Their entertainment started at 11:00 at night so if you were staying in a room close to the entertainment that's all you heard. For this resort to be truly amazing I would recommend they get rid of the VIP part of it. Also, there was very little to do as far as short excursions. The dive shop was fantastic!
I like the huts Way to much space reserved for VIP, which is an extra cost to join. Wife liked the massage.
Let's start with my original booking of a king bed garden view room and I got a dual queen beds on the 4th floor with no elevator. The room was also quite in the need of maintenance. Very often I didn't have water. Hot water in particular. Showering was a Russian roulette. I complained about this twice. The safe box jammed once. The electronic key of the room erased itself twice. The balcony door didn't close. Food was ok in quality and variety, but a couple of times we got fish not properly cooked and I had ... consequences. On the other side the shows in the evening were great and of higher quality than I expected.
The property was great some of the guess was very rude. If you don't speak Spanish, them maybe you need to learn it before you go. Other wish the trip as great.
The staff is great, Entertainment was awesome, Beach was beautiful, Water was crystal clean, Room was very nice and cleaned daily.
I liked the staff and property... but would have like more if the surrounding area was more open for exploration.
beach is very good. No beach umbrellas
It said they had free Wi-Fi in the rooms and when we checked in they said Wi-Fi was not available in the room. They charge extra for safes. They never put any drinks in our fridge and they said it would be stocked on arrival. The staff was very unfriendly.
I requested Garden view Bungalow without the doors between units, but to no avails. I was kept awake during the night by the naighbors coming home at night. The food was cold due to the huge sealing fans.
RUN! Do not go to this resort. We had to have our room changed 3 times. 1st night our room smelled like sewage and it was so loud from the activities happening in the main area. 2nd room had bed bugs woke up with bites all over all 4 of us (gave us a room to check out that also had bed bugs) and "upgraded" us to another room which was a little better. Very few people that spoke English (which has never been an issue at any other resorts we have been to). The resort had a septic issue as many places smelled of sewage. Overall the food was ok. The best was the Mexican and the Viva Cafe.
I paid for a room with the king bed and view instead I got a room with two tween beds. There was no water pressure to shower and zero hot water even after complaining since the first day. Their solution was to give me the same kind of room without any view on day three. That is not what what I paid and there was zero consideration.
Rooms were filthy. Mold and ceiling tiles in the bathroom were falling down in our bungalow. Asked for a superior room and was given another bungalow. At least it was clean. Doors to the closet would not open unless you moved the beds. Room was very tiny. Our friends had bed bugs in two of the rooms they were switched to. They finally got a superior room that was clean. Food was bland with very little to choose from. Some staff was very helpful and kind. Others were downright rude. This is my second time at a Viva Wyndham and both were awful! Never again!! STAY AWAY and spend your money elsewhere.
This is our third time coming to this resort, but we have always stayed at the Palace side. The beach side was absolutely the opposite experience of a relaxing vacation. Our AC did not work when we arrived and it took multiple service calls and was finally fixed the following afternoon. We were placed in a Bungalow ( which was not what I paid for). I paid for a Superior Garden View Room. The activities on the Beach side of the property are extremely loud and if you like to sleep before 1 am, you will not be able to get any sleep from how loud the dj music is from morning to night. Normally we have an amazing time when we go, but definitely not returning to the Beach side of this resort. The time share people will also continue to take time away from you until you attend a meeting with them. Never had any issues on the palace side and was truly disappointed that the side you stay on makes a huge difference in the treatment you receive.
We love this place but the bathroom ceiling leaked, the shower didnt work properly.
Poor service at the bar, this hotel is not prepared for man peopl. They need more staff. The buffet was very poor in variety, you have to use the same spoon for more that one food. The drinks machin was not working, they run ut of beers and licors. The entertainment was reat and the.beach is beautiful.
people very attentive but extremely dirty, poor hygiene in common spaces
No water or AC for 8 days!! Continuously being lied to. Lack of staff, long lines. Awful food in buffet. Cockroach and spider in room, bug bites all night long.
Very friendly and helpful staff, highly recommended, if you go, make sure to say hi to the best bartender, Analdo
Liked the well kept grounds with beautiful plants, palm-leaf-roofed buildings and walkways. Liked the breathtaking beach with clearest turquois water (= absolutely no algaes!), wonderful swinming. Liked the general atmosphere of down to earth tranquility. Staff is nice and accomodating when you are nice to them. Great food at the buffet with good variety. Other restaurants are good too. Variety of excursions. We had a wonderful 6 day gat-a-way.
We stayed in one of the little huts. The front porch space was nice for outdoor socializing. It was very simple, but perfect for what we were looking for as we did not spend a lot of time in our room/hut. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Staff were reserved but polite and friendly. I wish I had spent more time learning Spanish prior to taking this trip, it would definitely have been very helpful. The food was not amazing, but it was consistently good. We were always able to find beach chairs. The pools and the beach were beautiful and not overcrowded. Would definitely return!
everything was great. Rooms need more space.
I didn’t like anything. They need more choices on their buffet. Their staff is very un respectful. Property is uncomfortable, everything is so far from your room. Restaurant a la carte didn’t have space for reservations on their new customer.
Really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of pool and beach options. The property was very well maintained. Our room was spacious and very clean.
You have to walk so far to have cocktails, when your at 1 end of the resort. Because the bar close to you. Dont bring water to your room. Food is nasty all day. Then last night there i find blood stains on my sheets im getting into. We paid all you can drink and eat. What a joke!! Wont be back
I have to say I’ve stayed in DR so many times before. However this was our first time in this particular Hotel. I was very disappointed from the moment I arrived. Our rooms where not what you see online. Let’s first start with the toilet how filthy it was. The bottom of the toilet was never cleaned. I took pictures of the condition it was. Secondly there cabanas need so much upgrading. One night my husband got rained on while he was sleeping. He called front desk and let me tell you they gave him the run around to the point they stopped picking up his phone calls. The staff in the front desk don’t give a damn about what you have to say to them. They show no interest in directing your concerns at all. The food was ok I think they can do way better. I found lunch to be most appealing. The AC in the room as soon as you turned it on it smelled moldy. When you get to the resort you see a video of staff disinfecting the and cleaning the Hotel. I never seen anyone disinfecting or cleaning like they show in the video. They have some really great staff that go above and beyond for you. Sad I can’t say the same about the front desk. We where a group of 22 4 of us got rooms we didn’t rent. The third day they where able to give us the rooms we rented. I believe they over book and then when you get there you get what ever they have available. It is very disappointing to have to fight for 3 days to get the cabana you rented instead of enjoying your vacation. I don’t recommend this Hotel.
After reading the negative reviews, I was a bit nervous going to this resort. I can honestly say that my daughters and I had an amazing time. The resort was very clean, the beach was amazing, the accommodations were wonderful. There was always something to do. We never had to wait in line at the bar and was always able to get a table at the buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Of course, there was a bit of a language barrier, but it is to be expected when you are in another country. I am already looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
The property is beautiful and very tropical but it could be better taken care of. Food has gotten terrible. We went here to eat dominan food and they had very little of it. Also front desk employees need to get it together. Twice already I’ve paid for the ocean view bungalows and when I go to check in they have none available. They put me in a regular room with no refund whatsoever of the difference I paid. Then they changed my card twice and didn’t give me a refund. I had to dispute it with my bank. I’ve stayed here 5 times already and never again. Place has become a mess with reservations. Also bungalows need some serious upgrading. I spent my 7 days there on the phone fighting for my refund back instead of enjoying my vacation. Terrible Terrible
Property is beautiful , employee’s are nice but some are not. Front desk check in was terrible. Again for the second time I didn’t get the ocean bungalow room I paid extra for. They told me none was available but I paid for it. I am so mad and disappointed with this hotel and I’ve stayed there 5 times but will never again. Also they charged my card twice for my room and 7 days later I still haven’t gotten my refund. I had to file a dispute with my bank. Also the food has gotten terrible. I was with a group of 23 people and we all disliked the food. Very beautiful resort and beach but they need to make a lot of changes
The food could have been better though we found something every day to eat. They need more staff to be able to speak English. It needs some upgrades like the men's restroom at the buffet area was in really bad shape Another upgrade would be ceiling fans As raining I would give it a 3 plus
Poor wifi,tv no internet, food no good
Perfect for a peaceful vacation
Everything was from good to excellent
Beach was very nice.
Unorganized from start to finish. Staff with horrible attitudes as if they just don’t care about how the clients are enjoying (or not) their stay. The food is repetitive and poor quality. Getting into a la carte restaurants is virtually impossible without a fight. The buffet area is dirty (for example I had to go through a stack of about 7-8 plates to find one that didn’t have food stuck in it). The check in took over half an hour, check out over an hour— both times due to long lines, inefficient services and procedures. The rooms are dated and dingy. Strongly DO NOT recommend this hotel. I have been to the area several times, and there are many, many better options of hotels.
Nothing
loved the beach
Property itself was nice as a whole. A nice place to go for relaxing or with your family. Everything closes at 6pm and the one bar doesn’t open until 12am. Not much to do at the resort during that big gap the shows are Terrible and it gets boring. There’s only so many excursions you can do during the day but then again, everything closes at 6pm so you’re stuck doing nothing all night. If you’re a food person you’re in for a disappointment. The food was horrible. Only good thing was the 24/7 pizza place that has decent pizza but good pasta. Otherwise you’re starving. Maybe VIP has better food? All in all, again a good trip if you plan on just sitting by the beach all day and relaxing but if you like doing things everyday then this might not be the place for you. A lot of rules and regulations that make it not fun
Lack of sun umbrellas leads to burning of the body. The shadow of the palm tree does not save save from burns. For us it was best resort until the moment when the sun umbrellas were removed. We ran into this in december 2021. In march 2022 we brought an awning to two places of Israeli production. 3 days we enjoyed the sea on the fourth day the manager resort Palace removed the awning.
We had a great holiday!
The hotel and all about our holiday was great. We enjoyed the meals. Every day we're different meals on different themes. Hotel bar and restaurant staff were very kind and smiling all the time. Animators were amazing, very friendly and kind people. Wifi was very poor in the room and air conditioning was not properly working. That was the one minus things. Otherwise I can recommend this hotel to families as well as for couples. There were so many things going on all the time.
Really good experience
Great place we loved it, sure we will visit it again
Sea was beautiful.
Good place for vacation.
Hands down amazing animation crew

This was our 4th time in viva Windham, first 3 times was in viva palace, was excellent. This time, January 2025 was in viva Beach. Ocean front bungalow. Overall we enjoyed as always, the resort was under stuff, dining was challenge, dining tables not cleaned after guests left, we removed the left over plates and clean the table ourselves before we can seat, because there was no clean tables. We still enjoy our stay, we love the long walk on the property, the beach was always clean, a lot of seats, love the bars, and caffee by the pool, the juice bars, also we felt safe to walk outside the property for local shopping. We recommend to all our friends, will be back again.
