Basic - but Good Value
This place is small property with average rooms - it does not feel like a hotel but more like a B&B. Entry area is very basic - limited front desk service. On the positive side - they make espresso /cappuccino to order during morning continental breakfast service
Wonderful experience!
The hotel is not staffed with a front desk person all the time. They were available by phone when not there and were very helpful but it took a bit of getting used to. Overall a very good experience.
Great hotel!
The hotel is situated in an ideal location - perfect for exploring all the primary tourist spots in Rome. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. This is a modest place at a fair price.
We had a great experience in staying at Vittoriano Suites! Great location, professional and caring staff, as well as a clean/comfortable room made our stay here a great investment. We would highly recommend this property to whomever wishes to enhance their stay in Rome. Thank you VS team for making our stay so enjoyable!!!
Convenient, but stairs were sticky, no place to hang a towel & paper thin pillows
Loved the property and location was great for walking to everything. We just had one issue, we had two perfect water days and on the 3rd day there was no hot water all day and night.
The accommodations are very basic, almost like a hostel. They have everything that is necessary for the stay but nothing extra. The room was spacious and clean. The shower had great water pressure. The area is great for walking around and seeing the main sites. We walked maybe 15 minutes max to see anything. This hotel does not have 24 hour staffing so if you need anything outside of those hours, good luck. It’s €50 euros if you need to check in past 5pm since they don’t have a 24 hour front desk. Breakfast was minimal and they wished to know what time we would be at breakfast each day. This was odd as we never knew really when we’d be up and about since we’re on vacation. Overall, the location and convenience of the sites was the best part and the room was safe and clean.
Had an amazing time staying here. Will definitely come back when in Rome!!
This was a great hotel. The staff were excellent. The location is amazing. We will definitely come back.
Room was very spacious compared to other hotel in Italy with tiny bathrooms.
A lovely stay.
Overall, we found this to be a nicely furnished and maintained (except our room air conditioning as it did not work) hotel. Very clean and close to multiple points of interest. Breakfast was average. Despite being in the hospitality industry, the check-in hours for this property are limited and we were assessed a 50 EUR surcharge for the late check-in "convenience" which we were aware of in advance but nonetheless, is simply a money grab.
Horrible! Absolutely horrible stay, I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome. We paid for 2 king size beds and a twin bed for 3 nights… we were given a king size bed and 3 twin beds (not suitable for 2 6’ guys). The air conditioner Wasn’t working and we thought it eventually would kick in once a staff member helped us, but then proceeded to be hot all night with no AC in the middle of summer. The next morning we woke up and asked the staff to look into it and proceeded about our day. When we got back the AC still wasn’t working so the staff came back up to look at it and called the property owner. The owner gave us two options, 1) to stay in the no ac room or 2) pay more for a different room. He was adamant that there “were no other rooms or properties and was gaslighting us that the AC was working fine (which obviously it wasn’t). After a half an hour of going back and forth with him he eventually had us moved to a sister Airbnb almost 25 minutes away. All 5 of us had to pack two weeks worth of stuff in 25 minutes to be transported to this other property. The main reason we picked this property was because it was walking distance to all of our plans. We then had 2 days worth of transportation issues getting to and from the Colosseum (where the original property was closely located). He was SO rude and only offered to cover our taxis to the new property… please save yourself the headache and don’t book here, they ruined the experience of Rome for us.
A perfect location to the colosseum, trastevere, and a short walk to treve and the Spanish steps. The staff was amazing and the rooms were awesome! The only hicup is they do not have 24 hour staff and our car that was supposed to take us to the airport was scheduled wrong, but honestly accidents happen and it didn’t impact our stay. I would stay here again!
We had an amazing experience and the staff were amazing. They were so accomodating and helped us whenever we had any questions. Great location to amazing sites and food. We have no complaints.
There is nothing fancy about this place. Rooms may be updated but I will say the perfume scent is nauseating, and the AC poorly worked in our room. The breakfast area was like a hostel. For the price I would choose elsewhere.
The property's location was perfect - it was exactly where I wanted to be. There were plenty of restaurants and bus stops close by, and the view outside the front door was breathtaking!
The staff was very nice, Gaby helped us alot to understand the city and was always very attentive to all of our needs and my family's.
Location was absolutely perfect. All ‘must see’ tourist attractions within walking distance. Gaby at the front desk is amazing. Only one issue we faced was with the aircon that didn’t seem to be working well. Rest all was excellent.
Easy access to so many wonderful sights
Great location
Many places were walkable from there. It is also very close to buses and taxis. The staff was great and very helpful
7 Euros per person per night extra at the hotel for city taxes. Be prepared to pay that. I don’t mind paying but they should be upfront about it. Yes, there are charges in every hotel in Rome. But as follows: - **1- and 2-star hotels**: €3 per person per night - **3-star hotels**: €4 per person per night - **4-star hotels**: €6 per person per night - **5-star hotels**: €7 per person per night - **Guesthouses, bed and breakfasts, and hostels**: €2 per person per night And Vittoriano is a 2 Euro per night place. Not 7! Besides that, high ceilings, cute breakfast area and very walkable and clean place. The staff is very helpful on WhatsApp.
The property's location was walkable to most significant landmarks. Lift was available and the property was clean and well presented. Staff at the reception was friendly and can speak English.
Property was in a great location close to many main sites. 12 minute walk to Trevi fountain 16 minute walk to pantheon. Check in was good. Check out is early 10:30 they said they would store our luggage however it was just merely left out in the general reception /lobby area. Not secure. Also, no bathroom facility in the lobby area. Overall decent stay. Best thing about the place was the location
Location is good
Disappointing Rome Accommodation
This hotel was disappointing. The room looked tired and in need of a fresh coat of paint and the bathroom did not feel clean. For example, there was a used tissue in the shower area left from previous guests. Our room was on the first floor and was extremely noisy. The breakfast area was small and cramped and featured pretty ordinary furniture. Not as stylish and chic as we expected judging from previous hotels we stayed in. Italy is the home of chic and we expected its 4 or 5 star hotels to reflect this. Also the included facilities were minimal….eg: no extra rolls of toilet paper supplied and only shampoo included in personal products, no body lotion or conditioner as seems to be standard at this level of accommodation. Definitely will not stay here next time. Having said that, the receptionist did her best to make our stay enjoyable, as did the gentleman organising the breakfast buffet. It was the property itself, not the efforts of the staff, which was disappointing.
The property was well located and the rooms were all updated and very nice however I did not realize I was not booking a hotel but some sort of B&B and the facility lacked 24 hour reception service. People had a hard time getting into the building. There were a number of people who arrived at night and could not get a room because there was no one at reception and the guests were trying to locate the staff for them. Another couple locked their keys in their room and there was no one to let them in. All got sorted but people were really stressed. The staff were friendly and tried to accommodate requests however the lack of reception coverage was problematic. On our last day they ordered us a car service to the airport. There were 4 of us and we had alot of bags. Our transport vehicle was changed at the last minute due to some oversight which meant we travelled to the airport with luggage on our laps. The driver was incredibly apologetic as he was given the wrong info and told us we should get a reduction on the fare from the B&B. When I broached the situation with them they said it was not possible to refund any portion of the fare. Disappointed but not surprised
This guest house was in a perfect location, easily walkable to all main attractions. The airport transportation the guest house offers is excellent and reliable. Highly recommend this for a trip for Rome
Gabi at the front desk who checked us in was wonderful. Very central and convenient location. We love the historical look of the building and the room was very spacious.
We loved how conveniently located this property was.
The hotel is situated in a great location and within walking distance of Rome's main sites. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely come back on our next trip to Roma!
Great room, greater location!
Good Enough
I would say that this spot is average - not good, but not bad. The rooms are okay sized, but very dark and not a lot of space in terms of counter space… in fact there was no space in the bathroom to put toiletries. There are so virtually no amenities - just shampoo & soap. No conditioner, no tissue box etc. Also, it’s very noisy - you can hear people’s conversations, cars, sirens all day and night. I wore earplugs so it was okay. Staff was very friendly and it was decently clean. The location was very good, we walked to all of our activities (Vatican, colosseum etc). Never had to take transit.
Would stay here again for sure
Great location but the Main Street is super busy and loud. Windows did an excellent job of keeping noise down. The curtains closest to the backwall weren’t big enough to cover wall to center so light creeped in. Also the AC/heat system number are sooo bright! We had to cover ours. Plug next to bed closest to the door didn’t work. Food and breakfast was good. The attendant was so kind and friendly. He was always quick to get my husband his coffee. When we checked in a dirty towel was still hanging in the bathroom. Minor oversight.
what a wonderful experience in Rome .. The staff was very friendly and gave us a very personalised service The room was amazing! Both decor and cleanliness and the view was good too Please can you have some toothpaste and lotion in your toiletries ..that is all I have to say I will be coming back ...
roomy even it we booked a standard double room , clean and comfortable , friendly staff esp. Arnel . Ty
We loved this bed and breakfast! It was super clean and comfortable. We also loved the location and how many sites were within walking distance. Would highly recommend!
Our stay at Vittoriano was AMAZING for three main reasons. Firstly, the room and bathroom were both VERY clean. :) Secondly, the location was ideal - the hotel is right across a bus stop and a tourist office, there are cafes nearby, the Colosseum is a 15-minute walk away, and a road runs right in front of the hotel making it easy to get an Uber/food delivery. Thirdly, and most importantly, the staff are so kind and accommodating. They were immediately welcoming, and when we requested a space for prayer after check out, they provided us with a private room and bathroom. We felt so welcomed, safe, and respected throughout our stay. I STRONGLY recommend this amazing hotel. The people that work here have worked hard to make it a lovely stay, and it shows!! It's affordable, the reservation is flexible (we were easily able to add a third person to our room), and it's the perfect home base for anyone that wants to explore Rome on foot.
I was delighted to discover how lovely and how private the Vittoriano Suite was.. It is in a great location, so handy and easily walkable to many of the nearby attractions and lots of great dining options closeby. I will definitely return here for my next stay...
Excellent staff service and very communicative from beginning of booking to checking out. They even offer complimentary luggage storage after check out. There are a few flights of stairs to walk up with your luggage, so be mindful. But nonetheless, I’d come back for sure
Lovely service, super help full. Staff was amazing! 10/10
Excellent value for money
This is a brilliant location in the heart of Rome, with easy walking distance to all landmarks. The hotel is very clean and is great value for money!
Ensure you arrive at the property before 8pm so you do not incur the extortion €50 late check- in fee (which allows you to walk to another hotel close by to collect your room keycard!) Whilst making the booking, there is information that tells you they do not have front desk and you should contact them 72hours before check in, there is no information about the significant addition late check-in fee. You only find this out after you have already paid for your stay!!! This is hugely irritating as unexpected costs (so may be cheaper to book at another hotel!) Great location, within walking distance to all the main attractions. Room was spacious and clean.
Poor wifi
Friendly staff good location, but the WIFI was super slow almost no internet connection.
I was hesitant having read some of the reviews, but I am pleased with my stay while in Rome. The location is right across from the forum. The room is spacious. Yes, the AC is a little loud but it works. That is not the case for many places in Rome with faulty AC units. Enjoyed my stay.
The property was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
My wife and I had a great two days here. The location can't be beat! The staff was friendly and helped with restaurant suggestions that were perfect and were helpful in making our stay great. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. They accommodated our early arrival, stored our bags, and got our room ready early. Very appreciated. They helped arrange transportation when needed and went beyond expectations. THANKS!!!!
The location was perfect, close to Palazzo Venezia, and shopping area. (Vía del Corso).
The staff was super accommodating and lovely! We ended up booking super last minute as another property had canceled on us so we were very grateful to have gotten in our room so quickly. However I felt like it was a bit over priced for the quality of the stay, this could be because we booked so last minute but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin and you could hear everything we were happy we brought ear plugs otherwise I’m not sure we would have gotten any sleep.
Property in good location, staff friendly, bad electrical fittings, air conditioning noisy and not cold enough, very noisy location
Hotel is in a great location, the staff is very responsive and very friendly and the rooms are large.
Location was good but way overpriced for a B&B not a Hotel as advertised the front desk only open part of the day so if you need help at night or loose you key card there’s no one to help substandard room with no views would never go back to this place difficult old elevator
This accommodation is hidden behind a door off a busy street. We probably would have struggled to find it but we arranged a transfer from the airport and the driver checked us in. Our room was clean and quiet. It felt like the site was still under construction with the door frames to the bedrooms still unfinished. Breakfast was very simple but everything tasted great. There wasn't enough seating for all guests so there was a queue to sit down each morning. The location of the hotel was excellent. It's within walking distance of the main sites and transport links. We didn't meet any of the staff except the breakfast ones who also checked us out. I'd recommend and stay here again.
We had a fabulous time at the Vittoriano Suite. Room was spacious, modern and a central location to explore the main sights of Rome. Only complaint is that the room, while comfortable, was unfinished. There were no end tables next to the bed and no artwork on the walls. But everything else about the room and location was top notch.
The hotel has a perfect location in the heart of all attractions in Tome, and only a few minutes walk from the colosseum. Take in mind that it does not offer 24 hours front desk service, but receptionist is very friendly and will help you with everything you need. I certainly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel service. Close to every tourist sites. Convenient! And literally find everything nearby. We really enjoyed the stay! Will definitely recommend friends!
The location and ease of navigating around the historic heart of rome, makes this property a must for the history buff
Great staff and awesome breakfast! Location next to buses & plaza Venezia.
Adequate for a short stay
It was difficult to get a hold of anyone to ensure check in, or help with issues, or any customer service. The room was cramped for the suite, there were no convenient places to place the suitcases or any place to hang a towel or place shower materials. The air conditioner was a major plus, but the overall expectation was for an actual suite and not one small room with a shower.
Great location and stay
Surprisingly, a wonderful stay! Location was superb. No concierge 24/7 but that didn’t matter. They were easy to connect with and someone was there mornings and afternoon from 4-8 pm to answer any questions. Clean and much better than we anticipated. Staff was super friendly. And the reviews were right, cappuccinos in the morning were wonderful.
Too much noise at night due to traffic. Disruption in running water in the shower. Low quality service. Expired food at breakfast. The only good thing babout this facility is the location and nice staff. Otherwise, terrible service.
Excellent location in the centre of Rome, friendly and helpful staff, and clean property. The only minor downside was that the breakfast eating area was small and shared with the reception. A great place to base yourself for sightseeing.
Very nice rooms and the staff was welcoming and helpful.
Didn't sleep a wink!
Rooms are definitely lovely and very nice staff, though minimal. BUT, noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms overlook the street below and do not block out any of the street noise which goes on all night. Literally didn't sleep the entire time we stayed here. It is convenient to everything though if you can sleep through all the noise. Breakfast was just ok as well. Great cappucino though!
Excellent location! The room was up to date and the staff was very helpful.
We were supposed to stay at Vittoriano Suite over near the Roman Forum, but days before we arrived, I got a message that they would have to move us across town all the way over by Vatican City because of some issue with the property. This severely inconvenienced us in our arrival to Rome as well as the rest of the trip... we had made plans and reservations with times based on our proximity to them. Being across town nearly made us have to miss unmovable reservations. We also left an item (medication) in the room and when we asked them about it to see if we could pay for them to ship it to us, they informed us days later that the room had been cleaned. They noted that they save items left behind and contact the guest, but that anything else is thrown away.... Confusing because medication IS an item and visually is CLEARLY important, but apparently it was deemed trash.... The customer service here was horrible from the get-go and I would never recommend to a friend.
The property is in a great location near restaurants and many attractions. There is no staff at the property most of the time so it is hard to get help or recommendations if needed. Our reservation included breakfast, but there was no staff and no breakfast prior to our checkout which was a bit frustrating as we had a 10 hour flight. Overall great property and we would definitely stay here again!
Property was good, with amazing location. And most importantly the staff person at the desk was amazing so absolutely helpful.
The hosts of the hotel are both very nice and very helpful. They have good suggestions on gelato places to try and places to see. They made me a coffee each morning at breakfast that was really good:) The location was really great for walking anywhere and on the corner of the street, there is a little market to get drinks and snacks if you like. The only thing was that the bed is very firm. I asked for some extra pillows and it was good for me:)
Staffe is very nice and helpful.
Excelente estadía
El hotel está muy bien ubicado , es muy limpio y está muy bien mantenido .tanto Martina como Amati nos atendieron muy amable y eficiente . Muy recomendable
Just perfect location. We had some issues with the air conditioning in both rooms and this made it very difficult to sleep with hot weather.
Awesome location and awesome staff
Perfect location but cold and noisey
Absolutely perfect location. Slightly difficult to find as there is no sign other than a tiny note on the buzzer on the door. The hotel is next door to the pizza shop. Staff are lovely and really helpful. The room we stayed in was good but not amazing. I found the room really cold and noisey as the walls and window is really thin. The room was really clean and had complimentary tea and coffee and toiletries which was a nice touch. The shower was really good however the bathroom did have an unpleasant smell although this was not overpowering and was manageable for the 3 nights we stayed. Although the actual bathroom utilities are clean, there were dirty splash marks on the wall. Overall, the hotel was good for a 3 night stay however we were definitely ready for our own bed afterwards.
Perfect in every way!
What an amazing holiday we’ve had! This place was lovely and so close to all major attractions. We cannot recommend it enough!!!
Would certainly stay again.
Excellent location, lovely staff. Wi-fi was not 100% of the time, heating was via Aircon and so drying. Would certainly stay again.
Great location in Rome, nice room with all the basics. Helping with Taxi to the airport worked out great.
Stayed here to explore rome with my wife and i loved staying here. Very convenient and close to everything that you need to see when you are in Rome. The staff was very friendly. She even made us bookings for the Colloseum tours. An employer there came in early and prepared us fresh breakfast which was very good and the place was very clean and no problems at all. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Rome. Staying here saves a lot of money on transportation as everything is very close by within walking distance.
Great location for centre of Rome
Lovely little hotel with a perfect location in the centre of Rome. Pretty much all the sights are within a 30 minute walk. The room was a nice size, very clean, modern and comfortable. There was a chef who cooked the most amazing omelettes for you at breakfast every morning. I had a very enjoyable stay
Very central, very clean, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Perfect B&B in the middle of Rome
would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff was exceptional and so friendly. He hope to return someday.
Highly recommend
Loved this bed and breakfast hotel. Would highly recommend.
Great location
Great location, walking distance to every major spot in town. (Old) Elevator is very tiny, just large enough for baby stroller and mommy. Nice communication prior to arrival. Rooms were small. It is away enough from the crowded area, but on the corner of Piazza Venezia and a couple of blocks from Coloseum. Quiet street at night, which left us walking alone after dinner, and a loud, drunk, large man was behind us and actually banged on the door right after we closed it behind us. In other words, we felt very safe and comfortable in the day time, but had a 2-minute incident that could actually have happened in any major town in the world.
Great stay
Always a great stay. Wonderfull staff. They always exceed my expectations!
Pleasant helpful staff and good room, but breakfast area/lobby was lacking in space and was too warm for comfort/eating.
The room was nice and clean, good breakfast and staff nice and helpful. There is no lobby though and the access is not that simple. A good option for bread and breakfast in Rome.
Recommend strongly
Friendly staff, clean room and pivotal location to access any part of the city.
Perfect location to explore Rome. Gabriella was incredibly helpful and gave us lots of advice.
Location staff breakfast. Liked it all! Gabriella couldn’t have been more helpful! I lived being right around the corner from the magnificent Victor Emanuele edifice. It is so beautiful at every time of day. Very convenient for public transit too.
Love this hotel as it is very short walking distance to City Centre. We're able to just walk to major shopping centers and restaurants, tourist attractions like the Trevi Fountain; Coliseum; to bus stops. We're able to stay late at night and not to worry about transport as a lot of things are short walking distance.
Very central. Close to Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Location was perfect. Everything is within walking distance (including Vatican City-we did it no problem). Although there is not a 24 hour staff-they are super helpful and communicated well-they also offered to hold our luggage before check-in. Breakfast was better than expected and coffee was great. We will stay again next time in Rome-100%.
Great and Bad
It is a great hotel, but has a bad experience. From the time we checked in, until we checked out we had the do not disturb sign hanging on our door because we did not want a cleaning service or anyone coming into our room because we had so many belongings. When we checked in they ask you for a cell number, email, and a whatsapp contact in case they need to get in touch with you. On our second and fortunately our last day there, we came home in the afternoon to the ottoman having been removed from our room. This is a problem for many reasons. My computer, ipad, jewelry, and many other person items were on the ottoman, and someone moved them; they entered our room without our permission, and never called or tried to contact us to see if it was ok that they entered our room or removed the ottoman. When I went to the front desk to ask why they did that, the response I got was what made me even more mad. They thought it wasn't a big deal, and told me because we only had two people staying in the room we didn't need it because we weren't using it, and they needed it for another room. But that wasn't the case, we clearly were using it because all of the stuff was on it. The woman was not understanding why it was a problem, and never apologized. I would have talked to someone else the next day, but had to catch an early flight.
Would stay again
Nice, small hotel. Front desk staffing is intermittent. Room was nice, modern and clean. Breakfast was good and the air conditioner worked well in the summer heat. Comfy for three with the full size bed and sofa bed. Only complaint was no hot water on the morning of our departure, and because the front desk wasn't manned there was no one to tell. Probably a fluke, not likely a recurring problem. Download the "it taxi" app, don't use the hotel taxi service.
Great Location
Amazing
Clean, well situated and new. Just a heads up, the building is old of course and there is an elevator to the first floor (where it is on) but it can only fit one person and one bag. I would recommend this place just for the location which is close to transport, monuments and a 5-10min walk to Campo do Fiore.
Vittoriano Suite | Hotel in Rome | Travala.com
Room was exactly as advertised, and it was a reasonably priced fit for five people (although there is only one bathroom). Staff were super friendly, multilingual and provided a nice breakfast coffee (even on holidays). Great location for walking to several Roman attractions - Coloseum, Piazza Navona and Trevi fountain. Walk to Vatican took 30 minutes. Would definitely rent again.
