Pablo was very nice and helpful

I liked the spacious room. Had a coffee room. It supplied us with nespresso machine with pods. Bottled water and fridge. Large washroom and very clean. The only issue I had was the lock on the door. It’s not a deadbolt. It has an entry lock and anyone can easily pry the lock and enter. Even though it seemed safe there , it would have me feel a little more secure if it had a dead bolt and safety lock on the door. Camille (front desk) was very pleasant and very helpful. Showing spots to eat and sightsee.

Fantastic boutique hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. Excellent from start to finish, special shout out to Pablo from the front desk who made our experience very seamless and memorable.

Communication was excellent. They had someone open up after hours to get us checked in, since our flights got canceled. The apartment was clean,quiet, and conveniently located. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a place to stay in Barcelona. My family and I felt very safe and comfortable in this location.

The staff at the hotel especially Camille was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very conveniently located by major streets and metro stops. It is very easy to get to Casa Batllo and a slightly farther walk to Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. Lots of eating options, cafes, and a grocery store near the hotel. Can also easily take the bus to Park Guell.

What a find!!

My daughter and I loved the Violeta. The entrance is eccentric- it feels like you are stepping into an early 20th century office building. Our room was large and quiet with a sweet balcony, the bed was comfortable, and the Eixample location just next to El Born and The Gothic Quarter- couldn’t have been better.

Great location in Barcelona, close to shops and harbor. Worth the walk to it. The front desk was very helpful in locating great spots to eat and walk to. Have helpful suggestions in transportation that was safe and if you’re on a time specific visit made things easily accessible.

Host is responsive, accommodating and helpful. The beds are super comfortable. No doors between rooms in our unit, which was a bit surprising. The area is amazing; walked everywhere, shopping is convenient. Excellent for a short term stay. Thank you!

The service was excellent, Pablo? was very friendly and gave us a whistle stop tour of the city on the mapwhen we arrived, which was great as we were only there for two days. We arrived early and even though the room wasn't ready we could drop our luggage off and head out to explore for a bit. We stayed in a family room (my wife, two kids and myself) that was perfect, comfy beds and air conditioning, we had a lovely spacious balcony that we could use for breakfast (pastries and juice that was included) and in the evening for a few drinks after retiring from the Barcelona night. Would highly recommend this place, perfect spot for exploring the city!

First Time in Barcelona

Great location, unique vintage building with charm. We enjoyed the shared outdoor space daily with complimentary juice, coffee and pastries. A nice spot to unwind after long days of sightseeing. Attentive staff when there but note that someone is not on duty 24hrs. Would recommend.

The room door's lock did not work making it unsafe to stay here. Bathroom had a terrible smell of drains too.

Lovely, stylish and comfortable

We were very happy with our room at Violeta Boutique. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. All the staff we met including Gaston and Andrea were always more than willing to help us and make sure we have everything we need. The coffee and muffins they served in the mornings was an added bonus we did not expect. It was good enough to get us started on our day of discovering Barcelona. The location was central, too! We just walked to most of everywhere we needed to be. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

Lovely little gem very close to Plaça Catalunya I booked this hotel at very short notice, and during British Half-Term which drove prices upwards. The Violeta Boutique was a fantastic find - super central location, wonderful design, attentive hotel staff. Our room was huge with a beautiful covered balcony where we enjoyed the complementary tea and muffins in the morning. It all felt very safe. We would definitely return there.

If you are okay with a basic, clean, simple hotel with friendly staff, a complementary good cup of fresh coffee and fresh muffins (not sealed in plastic bag and kept for days) in the morning. Super clean room !

This is the nice area you will find a lot of small hotels or apartment hotels. It was a short walk to the airport bus stop and everything. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable also. I will book this place again for sure.

Excellent in-town location. My expectations were higher because of the fees that Expedia adds on to the bill (I thought that it was more expensive than it is). The hotel receives less than what you pay to Expedia, so pay attention to the fee details when booking. I paid over 10% more by booking with Expedia. Still, it was the only hotel where we stayed in Spain and Portugal that charges for in-room tea and coffee. Other than that, the hotel --pension-- is stylish and clean and well-run. Coffee and magdalenas are offered in the morning. Parking is available nearby.

Violeta ... a great Spanish experience!

The stay was excellent! An architect bought three floors of an historic apartment building in the very heart of Barcelona five years ago, gutted them, and created a tiny boutique hotel. Violeta reception and registration is located on the second floor so guests enter the historic marble apartment foyer through a large grill door and use the stair or a tiny elevator to go up to reception and the rooms above. The hotel sign outside is TINY so have the street address handy. The hotel itself is cheerful, modern and trendy but retains the high ceilings and Continental ambience. Fresh flowers accent a public sitting room and there is a really lovely terrace where guests can enjoy a fabulous sugar muffin and delicious cup of fresh coffee in the morning. The excellent staff speak good English and are very kind and helpful. The modern plumbing provides good pressure and endless hot water. The internet is lightening fast and each room has a handy safe. The rooms were not as sound proof as I expected but noise was not an issue. The location could not be better ... everything from shopping and dining to attractions, the super Metro and the Aero Bus to the Airport is steps away. Although the hotel is quite a departure from what North Americans are used to, it was quite wonderful in my estimation and so much more unique than staying at a chain hotel. I recommend it!

Great staff with room for improvement

The lobby area and staff was amazing. However, the air-conditioning only worked for about 5 minutes even after talking to the staff multiple times. It was 26 C in the room each night (way too hot). The shower drain did not drain and the bathroom grouting was quite dirty. Finally, the building lobby (not their fault) had a terrible smell.

Service was great. Staff was friendly and helping. The room was very comfortable. Location is good - near many subway stations yet not busy.

Great location close to the city centre.

The room I staying was small. Not much facilities were provided. But what I love about Violeta was they provided muffin and coffee/tea for free in the morning. You don't have to look for a breakfast place when you are in a rush in the morning.

Perfect stay!

The hotel was close to everything so we could easily walk everywhere! Clean, spacious and a beautiful terrace. We had a family room with room for 4 and two full baths. Sara at the desk was an absolute sweetheart. Very helpful and so easy to talk to. Will definitely stay there again!!!

Pretty well ideal

Warmest welcome we can remember in any hotel, totally lovely. Grand room with balcony; and everything about the hotel very beautiful and pretty. Excellent facilities and spotless. Only a stone's throw from the Plaça Catalunya and a short walk to the Barri Gòtic; handy also for other areas (and for the metro - use nearby station Urquinaona). Doesn't do breakfast, but they do leave you a coffee and a muffin anyway. Wifi excellent. Strongly recommended.

This place was awesome, we will definitely come back to stay. The staff was very helpful and there is patio that is great for hanging out or to get a little work done :) The location is great and is in walking distance to everything.

Great small hotel in central location.

Great little boutique hotel only a few blocks from central plaza in Barcelona. We booked late so price more than expected at €200/night.

Perfect location in the centre.

Violeta is a quirky beautiful hotel right in the centre. Very helpful staff. When we arrived the receptionist showed bus/tube links to the must see areas of the city. We were going to take the bus tour but with this info bought a 3 day travel pass for the tube and bus which was perfect. In the mornings there were coffee, teas and fresh muffins to enjoy for free with a beautiful courtyard to sit in. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Quaint, Friendly

We liked this quaint boutique hotel. The location is convenient to tourist areas. We had a nice sized, quiet room. The hotel is on a few floors in an apartment building. The wifi wasn't very good on our floor. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. We enjoyed the muffins and coffee/tea in the morning and the pretty veranda everyone can use.

5-10 min leisure walk to Plaza Catalunya, convenient if coming via Aerobus. Clean room with daily housekeeping. Beds were comfortable. Mr Juan at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Only issue is, our room at the top level was extremely cold when we checked-in, it would be nice if the room was heated up a little ahead.

Stay was awesome. Only thing the hotel needs is safer showers. They were a bit slippery and hard to get into for us fat Americans Lol. Besides that staff was awesome and room was great.

Great location, very nice staff, clean room!

We got there very early, like 8am from an overnight flight. Safe to say we were so very tired. Check in is normally 11am, but they let us in right away which was a life saver! The rooms were nice, totally sufficient and clean. The only complaint I had were the pillows are hard and so is the bed. Some people like this style, but for me, after a nice long sleep, my neck and back would get slightly sore. Other than this, great place to stay!

We enjoyed the stay at Violetta Boutique hotel, it is very small (five rooms, very close to the centre of Barcelona to all the best tourist sightseeing spots, museums, shopping and food. Would like to have had tea making facilities in the room, or available in the hotel for guests at any time.

Couple city away break

What can I say, the staff and the style make this hotel unique. A real gem for Barcelona. The amazingly kind, energetic and attentive staff were brilliant. The style and atmosphere made this stay a refreshing change from standard and plain business hotels. Perfect location and extremely easy to get to from the main airport.

Comfort away from the crowds

Loved the bed and breakfast, almost hidden away so it was really an oasis from the crowds of Venice. So close to everything, also close to train station. Our hostess was very kind and provided a wonderful stay for us.

Great choice!

Excellent location. Staff very helpful, gave directions to everything. Within 10 minute walk to cathedral and Gothic Quarter, close to metro lines. Nice and clean, free coffee in the morning, quiet. There was an underlying odor which I think is d/t the fact it's in an old building, and there is no street sign (except for the small name by door buzzer), so a bit hard to find (although the address is well-marked on the building), but otherwise excellent.

Poor customer service

We chose this hotel for the proximity to the metro and sites, the free breakfasts, and the cost. We arrived to check in and the people at the desk told us there was a leak in the room we had rented and they were not able to accommodate us. They informed us they went ahead and rebooked us to another hotel and they were going to call us a cab and give us 25 euro to pay for the taxi and the difference in the cost of the new place. No compensation for the breakfasts we were now going to have to pay for as well as the increased cost of getting around the city.

Nice Boutique Hotel

Our room was very large with a nice outdoor balcony. They offered complimentary tea/coffee and muffins in the morning. It was a 10-15 minute walk to popular areas like Las Ramblas and the Gothic area.

Great spacious rooms, amazingly central location

The Violeta boutiqe type apt/rooms are incredibly spacious. Tall ceilings and brigth neutral colours throughout. We had double balcony doors with view to the city and it all reminded us about renaissance feel apt. It is incredible value for money and although it does not provide all the same services as in a luxury hotel (pool, restaurant, bars) the rooms and accomodation is incredible with very helpful and personalised reception service, free coffee and tea in the morning. The rooms are larger and better than most hotels in the 4* category and equal to some in 5* category. There is less of whats not needed but lots of what makes the big difference We did stay a few nigths in a 5* hotel that has a more luxury feel to linen, services, decoration but considering the Violeta and what it offers it is certainly the place we will return to on our next long weekend in Barcelona. Catalunya square is literally around the corner and so is many of the best restaurants and places to visit during nigths as well. There was also a coach service to La Roca Village outlet village from rigth outside our entrance door

Don't let the "hostel" categorization scare you. This boutique hotel is in a residential building, but it is in an ideal area, the rooms are large, clean, well decorated, and all with their own private bathrooms. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

This hotel has no noise barrier in front bedroom.We booked to stay 2 nights, but only had 1 hour of sleep! So we left early next day with 50% refund of 2nd night after much and long complaint. Room we stayed faces the front main road with bus stop under the window, so the bus humming all night and first thing in the morning. Motorbikes races pass every 10 mins.We moved mattress into the corridor of the room away from window to have about 1 hour sleep!Hotel needs upgrade at least double-glace window to stop noise.Never again will I book non-chain hotel. Sorry!

Friendly Hotel close to all facilities

This is a very modernised Hotel I would say recently refurbished and is very close to the main activities around the city within walking distance.The staff are very friendly and helpful.I would however suggest that no one takes room 4.This is over a very noisy gym.They did move me and give me another gorgeous room.Apparently they are dealing with the issue.

End of july visit to Barca.

Great location 3 blocks off plaza Catalunya. Helpful staff, morning coffee and tea available. Handy to airport bus, metros, and tour bus pickup up. Walking distance to almost all sights. We had a street side room, and even with good windows, street noise and pedestrian traffic went well into most nights.

Cute but impractical hotel

When I booked this hotel online I was very excited to arrive. It is in a good location, but the hotel is very impractical for travelers, especially with a lot of luggage. The elevator is tiny and you will still need to get your luggage up a short flight of stairs to whichever floor you are on. This hotel is more like a New York apartment. The main lobby entrance is not lit at night, which concerned me. When you arrive there is no sign with the hotel name, you will need to go to the intercom where you will know you are at the right place. The staff was nice, but not very helpful. They offer a shuttle service to the airport, but the failed to tell us it would be picking up other passengers and that the time you requested is just an estimate. We ended up having to get a cab at 4:45am to get to the airport in time, I forgot to mention the reception closes for the night and reopens in the morning, so i f you have a problem, there is no one available to help you. The rooms are decorated very modern and clean, but they are small. There was not a true closet either to hang your clothes, there was a bar that hung above a shelf, so your clothes were dragging on the shelf if you hung something.

This is really a boutique hotel - very stylish. We enjoyed our stay very much: It is in a perfect location, very new, clean, and with comfortable beds. Free coffee and pastries in the morning (not really a breakfast). With a little more, it could be a perfect hotel: Maybe glasses so one can have some wine on the balcony or a kettle and cups for a tea.

super bem localizado - espaçoso - trata-se de uma pequena pousada com serviços limitados e atedimento presencial com horário limitado - mas o apoio por whats é excelente - tivemos um problemas no check-in que a cama extra nãp estava feita mas foi muito bem conduzido pelo time e nos deixaram um mimo. a localização e espaço dos quartos saõ os grandes diferenciais.

Toller Aufenthalt Mitte in der Stadt

Ein sehr schönes, sauberes Boutique Hotel, Mitte in der Stadt, 10 Min. zu Fuß von Placa de Catalunya. Wir wohnten in einem 3 Bett Zimmer, das richtig groß und bequem war. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Ich würde sicher weiterempfehlen.

Best place to stay (price/quality) in Barca

The hotel is located in the best place of Barcelona! We never even took the metro. Shopping streets are a 5 min walk, to the beach 20 min walk. The room was clean, a very beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. When we visit Barcelona again, I know where to stay!

Très bien situé, suffisamment proche du centre (la rambla est à 5 minutes à pieds) mais suffisamment éloigné pour être au calme. Dans le même quartier (eixample), on trouve beaucoup de très bons restaurants à des prix raisonnables. L'accueil est très chaleureux et professionnel. La chambre familiale que nous avons eue est propre, agreable, la literie impeccable et la présence des 2 petites terrasses a été très appréciée. Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel !!

カタルーニャ広場から徒歩5分程の所にあってアクセス最高、部屋も清潔で、スタッフもとても親切です。シャワーは固定と手持ちの2種類使え、バスアメニティは、全身シャンプーと歯ブラシとドライヤーがあるので困りませんでした。 設備としては冷蔵庫はないのが、気になるくらいです。 アドバイス: チェックインは厳格で14時以降じゃないと部屋には入れませんが、荷物は預かってくれます。 一階の入り口は鍵が常にかかっているので、入口右の呼び鈴ボタンを押すと応答してくれ、チェックインしたいですと言うと開けてくれます。2階に受付があります。受付に人がいないと呼び鈴を押しても応答するまで時間がかかるので、何回か押して根気よく待つことが必要です。チェックイン後は鍵を貰えるので、呼び鈴を押す必要はありません。鍵は、部屋の鍵、セーフティボックスの鍵、入口の鍵、部屋の階の鍵の4種類が1束で渡されますので、しっかり管理してください。

コンパクトで清潔、インテリアが可愛い

シングルに滞在したので部屋はコンパクトでしたが、清潔でインテリアが可愛らしくて快適でした。 フロントの女性はフレンドリーで、鍵のシステムやバルセロナについて丁寧に説明してくれました。 立地もカタルーニャ広場に近く便利ですが静かで良かったです。 ロビー横に用意されている朝食のマフィンが意外に（失礼）美味しかったです。朝早めの出発だったので、軽く食べられて助かりました。 集合住宅の一部が宿泊施設になっていて看板も控えめなので、普通のホテルだと思って行くとフロントにたどり着くまでに戸惑うかもしれません。エレベーターを後からつけたのか、必ず何段か階段を使わないとフロントや部屋にたどり着けません。それもまた旅ならではの興味深い体験でした。

Todo perfecto, salvo las almohadas. Cama cómoda, habitación super amplia, buen espacio y personal muy agradable. Como comentaba, las almohadas son mi único punto a mejorar, no me resultaron cómodas

Perfecto, entreñable y céntrico.

La estancia en este alojamiento ha sido maravillosa. Estuvimos cuatro amigas un fin de semana de noviembre. Todo fue perfecto, la limpieza ejemplar, los empleados, cualquiera de ellos, muy amables, la habitación con amplitud para cuatro personas, las camas, muy cómodas. Con una terraza acristalada, de la cual sacamos hasta fotos, porque la decoración era muy bonita, al igual que la de otras estancias. Muy céntrico. Por poner una sola pega, que ya se lo dijimos a los empleados, le faltaba un espejo más y además, de cuerpo entero. En determinados momentos, como cuando nos teníamos que arreglar o maquillar, un espejo pequeño sobre el lavabo, era insuficiente. Pero confiamos en que la próxima vez que volvamos, habrá más de un espejo.

위치 좋은 호텔

위치 굉장히 좋습니다 하지만 방음이 너무 안돼요 문열리는 소리 샤워소리 캐리어 굴러가는 소리 다 들려요 예민 하신 분이면 힘들 수도 있습니다 그래도 전 위치가 좋아서 전반적으로 만족하였습니다
