Lovely property by the river

A lovely property. Such friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool, the afternoon food tasting and free event boat ride on the river. Great location close to the night markets and ancient town. Good breakfast selections and lovely location of the restaurant and seating by the river. Would love to come back here again.

We had an excellent 4 nights. The breakfast was spot on as was the afternoon tea options plus we enjoyed relaxing in the gardens in the evening. The team helped us arrange a trip to My Son and the drive to Hue and overall the reception were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with

I am a long time customer of Vinh Hung Riverside Resort, and its as much about the great room you get as it is one of the best hotel staffs in the world. Its not just that the front desk staff is outstanding -- its the entire staff that is. You are like family staying here. The location is a short walking distance from the Night Market and the bridge to the old city. The area around the hotel and the river is very safe in the evening. You can arrange a ride to the air port in Danang with the front desk. The rooms are very nice sized and all have a very comfortable bed and very good shower pressure and lots of hot water. The AC works well to keep the room cool when its super hot out. They have a great breakfast buffet each morning - and a very good mix of Viet and Western foods. Having breakfast in an open air area or on the patio overlooking the river is a huge plus. At 4pm each day they offer a local foods country market - with plenty of local specialty items to try - for free. Some of the best spring rolls you may ever try too. Lastly - the silk lanterns lighting everything at night are another huge plus - all around the resort is picture worthy at night!

Area & view is nice, however, property is dated, mosquitoes around. Pretty good breakfast n excellent ice coffee.

Good location, average hotel

Hotel location was great. It was in close proximity to the night market and old town. Hotel is now dated compared with photos on hotels.com. A few thngs that let our stay down was the severe lack of water pressure for the shower. This was rectified by staff however the "normal" pressure was still not what was expected for a 4 star hotel. During our second day, we had an ant infestation in our bathroom which was unpleasant. Overall, our stay was OK, especially for a short stay. Pool looked nice however we did not use whilst we were there. Hotel also offers boat rides & food tasting - both of which we did not try due to other plans but a nice touch. We arrived 4 hours prior to check in time and our room was immediately available. This was during Tet which is a busy season so that was a plus for us.

Vinh Hung is an incredible beautiful place. This is our second time staying here. We came back because we loved it so much the first time. All the employees are wonderful and friendly, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Lovely serene setting by the river. The morning buffet is delicious. We had dinner several times at the hotel restaurant and thought the food was better than most places in town. The staff are the ones that made our stay absolutely enjoyable.

This property is just so beautiful - the setting, rooms and the staff. I wish we had stayed longer than our 4 nights. I can’t speak highly enough about the care the staff gave, just so welcoming and inclusive. Love the pavilion style restaurant as well! The pool and setting was exceptional. Thank you

Staff at Vinh Hung were so lovely. Greeting us by name. The pool was fantastic, which we used everyday. Each evening there was a free local food tasting and live music. It was only a short walk to the night markets and restaurants. I couldn’t fault this hotel.

Amazing place to stay if you want to have an escape from the hustle and bustle. The pool amenities are amazing spent so much time there after a very hot day and the staff are fantastic! Complimentary Breakfast was great and the free appetizers that locals make on site for you was so good! Very close to all the shopping and restaurants. Only thing we found was beds were a bit hard but other than that no complaints! Don’t second guess booking here!! If possible I would book the room overlooking the river with our own Private veranda.

Amazing

Beautiful peacefull resort situated right on the river bank. Within easy walking distance of the ancient town , night market and loads of restaurants. Cleanliness was good. Breakfast is a good mix with something for everyone. 2 pools, Main one is beautiful and very well maintained . Would definatley recommnd this place to anyone.

1) advertised free bicycle rentals. None on site 2)gym. Most were inoperative or rusted Smell mildewy, wet spots on Floor 3)sauna/jacuzzi none 4)room smell mildewy, bugs in Bathroom. 5)breakfast was ok though selection was limited. 6) location was good, although lt fllooded 1 day and we couldn't leave the hotel, unless we had rain boots.

Close to busy night market and old town, it is calm and great relaxing place with awsome garden and pool.

Stayed here 8 years ago and returned to find that (i) the rooms are a little tired and need a refresh, (ii) the staff are still friendly and attentive, (ii) the pool complex is now probably the best in town, and (iv) it remains conveniently located to the old town. it is still great value for money and i will be back again next time I am in town.

Amazing hotel!!

This hotel has everything, beautiful, friendly and helpful staff. Extras like the local food tasting and sunset cruise are great. The restaurant, pool and the whole hotel is very special! The is the best hotel in Hoi An!

Great location, friendly staff & nice pool

Excellent location minutes walk to the night market & old town. Also plenty of local amenities on the doorstep, mini marts, laundry, bike hire etc. Area felt super safe & staff completely trust worthy. All staff we experienced were extremely friendly & helpful - the only downfall in service was that during the day there was never anyone manning the towel station by the pool or around to order food/drinks. We also found breakfast finishing at 9:30am was too early; staff didn’t replace finished foods and often not manning the egg/noodle station. Breakfast range was also a little underwhelming. Pool is wonderful and really relaxing (when there aren’t loads of loud families with kids screaming & shouting!) unfortunately we didn’t see anyone maintaining the cleanliness of the pool during our stay. Overall we would come back here if staff were a bit more pro-active during the day & breakfast improved.

We liked the location of the resort on the river & the location of our room near the pool & the ground floor location with our patio facing out to the river, the rooms were very dark & showing their age, in our opinion the resort had the best location in Hoi An, near the night markets & the old town just over the bridge. However the rooms & resort need an upgrade, there are many chipped & broken tiles around the room, patios, pool area & restaurant which is a hazard. We were worried about the cleanliness of the pool water as well, the room was not cleaned very well at all every day that we were there.

Just five minutes walk to the old town. Lovely river view. Lovely friendly helpful staff.

ALL MEALS WERE OF A HIGH STANDARD AND REASONABLY PRICED. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WILL RETURN. THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AT THIS RESORT.

Wonderful four days at Vihn Hung Riverside resort...a "return to the place he spent a year during the war".... so happy that everything is so positive in Vietnam now..

Nice resort.

We stayed here for 6 nights. Great area to explore, the resort was nice location just down the road from the night market. Room was large with a comfortable bed, good pool area although the pool bar could do with a bit of a makeover and some music would be nice. The only downside was the tour we booked through the hotel. We paid $ 140 Australian for a private tour and it was a disappointment, the guide was definitely not worth the price, rushing us through and lying about things being closed when they weren't. Although not a hotel employee they were responsible for booking the guide so the ownes falls back on them. When I told the booking manager he really didn't seem to care and actually seemed annoyed we were complaining, as a result our checkout was met with a cold reception and the booking manager couldn't even look at us. This tarred our experience and means we probably wouldnt stay again. Resort is nice but that one guy ruined it for us.

Vinh Hung Riverside is very well situated in Hoi An, close to the Old Town and night market. The complimentary boat ride down to the main market end of town several times a day was appreciated, as was the river cruise. Mrs Giang was lovely and very helpful making our stay most enjoyable.

Best hotel in Hoi An

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Everything was excellent. Great location, easy walk to the night market and ancient town, near all the action but in a quiet location. Located on the river there are beautiful views, the whole property is gorgeous, the room was amazing, nice and big and very clean. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they spoke good english. The food was great, they have great vietnamese food and a western menu too which was nice. Lots of options at the breakfast buffet. Great pool area. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful gardens alongside the river, great swimming pool, large room, comfortable bed. Air conditioning in room fantastic after very hot days out exploring. Great breakfast. Loved the free afternoon "street food" on the lawn each day and also the free boatride into town several times a day. Did the cooking class and it was great.

Scenic location, quiet

Great riverside location, very scenic, 300 yards from beginning of main tourist area. Spacious high ceilinged room, but a/c is underpowered for that room size so cooling could be better, particularly in 100F/35C temperatures which we had. Beds were platform style, so you could hit protruding hard and sharp wooden edges. Helpful staff. Complimentary boat ride, cooking & other activities.

Hoi An stay

Beautiful grounds and location on the river, with great additional free services like boat trips and afternoon food tasting. Front desk staff were wonderful. However the rooms are a bit dated (though clean), and your room balcony is shared with public. Restaurant food is of medium level. Overall stay was lovely but I think a little overpriced.

This place is really at a great geographical location. It is close enough to the night market and the old quarter, but not close enough to be loud. The river nearby is beautiful! Relaxing to watch! The rooms are clean, though I wish they had a bit of a bigger bathroom... The internet was fast. But the electrical access was bad. I could only find two wall plugs, which makes it hard for a digital nomad like me... Also, my "garden view" was more of a "wall view", so I was not impressed. And the footage of the room is on the small side... The breakfast buffet was very well located, you can eat and watch the river at the same time. The food was averrage, nothing great, nothing bad... Overall, this place is good. If it were to evaluated by the amenities, the score would be lower. But the river and the easy access to the important tourist parts saved it!

Great place to stay. Close to old town but quiet enough by the river. Good breakfast, and attentive staff. Had an issue with the air con in room when we arrived. Quick action by staff ment move to another room. No big issue as staff were accommodating. Tasting local food at the hotel was a really good bonus.

Great location & all but if you must stay at this location definitely do not do the lowest stsndard room. Horrible! Old, short bath/shower. Strong odor & lots of mosquitoes.

The hotel offers a great break from the hustle and bustle of the Hoi An's ancient town. It is only about 5 minutes walk to the night market and 8 minutes to the old town. Plus it has a daily boat ride that takes you to the town and between 4-5pm daily evening, they serve you Vietnamese specialties for you to try. The room we stayed in was great, and the regular room service always ensures some memorable "towel art" will great you when you come back. Lastly, our stay coincided with my Mother's in law birthday and the staff and the manager Mr. Tam surprised us with a birthday cake during our breakfast. This hotel is an excellent place for family affairs, and its space allows wonderful family gatherings. Our first trip to Hoi An and Vin Hung Riverside and Spa makes it memorable!

Perfect location, favourite stay

Best place we stayed in all of our 2 weeks in Vietnam! An absolute favourite - from the great staff and huge room, to the perfect location. Two minute walk to night markets every night and five minutes across the bridge into Hoi An old town itself. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A great resort for your visit to Hoi An

Location location location.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to the old quarter, night markets, street market food vendors and restaurants. Laundry and plenty of massage shops all close by. Nice pool area and the buffet breakfast had a wide range of options from hot and cold dishes with eggs cooked to your liking. The hotel has a free ferry shuttle to the old quarter hourly and a free Vietnamese food tasting in the afternoon. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are clean with plenty of room. The only downside was the bathroom. The shower was open in the bathroom with no door and absolutely no water pressure. I assume this was so no water would be sprayed over the bathroom. Very disappointing. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Resort excellent, very relaxing and well situated but what really made it for us was the happy friendly staff they sorted everything especially Mr tam relations manager. I would highly reccommend

Nice Hotel with relaxing surroundings

This hotel has lovely relaxing grounds and is a few minutes walk away from the night markets. They have a boat available to take you to the ancient town for limited hours during the day however it’s not too far to walk to either. My room was clean with a comfortable bed - unfortunately there were 2 beds in my room and I am a solo traveller - I am unsure why I was put in a shared room. The room itself was quite noisey and there was construction onsite for the length of my stay. The pool area was nice and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was reasonable. Overall I think this hotel was god for the price - location was good - away from the hustle & bustle of the ancient town but close enough to walk.

Family holiday

We had a lovely stay (tho reception and pool bar staff weren't very friendly). Rooms were large and very clean...housekeeping staff were lovely! Please note tho, with booking on these sites, even if you state you have an older child, dont assume that you will have separate bed. We had two large singles put together, which was ok... but if you dont want to share a bed, you'll need to contact the resort direct. Great location and pool. Breakfast was excellent Would possibly stay there again

Very fiendly staff and an excellent location.

We enjoyed our stay at Vinh Hung Riverside. The hotel was in an xcellent lcoation and the staff were excellent. The food was good and the little extras made you feel special. I would highly recommend this hotel. My only gripe was that on the last couple of days of our stay a very boisterous group of teenagers (school group?) were staying at the hotel and their antics made it difficult to enjoy the pool when they were using it.

Very nice Hotel spotless and only 10 minutes walk to town with plenty of eat places on the way. Staff always meet you with a smile and could do enough to make you special and pool was spotless. would highly recommend.

Loved Hoi An!

We stayed with another family and my parents at the resort. The resort exceeded our expectations in all areas, nothing was too much trouble, the front desk team were more than accommodating for anything we required and always provided great suggestions for what we could do for tours or just general sightseeing in the area. The other staff in the bars/restaurant, grounds keeping and housekeeping were always friendly and helpful. We loved the free boat ride and tasting of local food. Overall I would definitely visit again and I will recommend to friends. Hoi An is a beautiful place and the people are amazing. Thank you

Garden river oasis

We really enjoyed our stay a Vinh Hung Riverside. The location is very hard to beat right on the river spread over a large property right on the river just a few minutes walk from the night market and the old town. All the staff at the resort were extremely genuine and friendly. Very relaxing space with a large pool, garden bar and restaurant. Very nice that they offer free Vietnamese food tasting in the afternoon, a free boat ride to and from the old town and a free sunset boat cruise. This is not a luxury resort but is very charming and represents fantastic value for money.

The hotel is in a perfect location next to the river and 5 mins walk to the Old Town. The property is tired in the main areas however the rooms feel fresh and clean. We had a river view room and had to move because of construction noise, kitchen noise and noise from the room next door. When we moved the room was bigger, brighter and better situated. Not all river view rooms are the same! Not sure if this is always the case but it was impossible to get quiet time around the pool - it was full of kids and felt like a public baths and on the both days we were there gave up and either went to the beach or our room. Unfortunately there's a seating area outside the river view rooms were families sat and this was from early in the morning until late at night. For us we didn't get much sleep on both nights. I wouldn't stay here again but that's more because of noise and it's definitely a family hotel for Chinese, Korean families.

A fantastic experience! The family are so friendly and helpful. The location is great, situated right on the river with amazing views and is only a short walk into the main strip. Our room was really comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Hoi An 2018

We stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed our stay, we had a river view room in block 800, which was nice and quiet. The resort is located within 5 min walk to the old town which was very convenient. We would highly recommend staying at this location when visiting Hoi An!

Great hotel, nice position next to the river

Nice position beside the river, and just a short walk to town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given an alternative room due to construction at an adjacent property -this room was very quiet. Happy hour Vietnamese food experience was great, free lesson on how to make Vietnamese coffee also great, and the meals very nice. We stayed there 4 nights. We would be very happy to recommend Vinh Hung to our friends, and would stay there again. All the other patrons we spoke to were friendly and enjoyed their stays.

Heaven

I love spending time at this resort. This was my 4th visit and from the General Manager Mr Han to the bar staff Tin, Thur etc everyone is a pleasure to deal with.

Wonderful spot, easy walk into HoiAn old town. Food was good and breakfast seating looking out over the river.

Beautiful grounds and great breakfast. Large comfortable rooms but I had a room close to construction behind the property. They were accommodating to change my room but I did not want to pack up and move. The surroundings were hard to beat though, very lush landscaping and on the river. Very Vietnam

2nd time Hoi An

Stayed here 2 years ago and came back because of our previous enjoyable stay. This time we stayed 5 nights, our room was a bit disappointing, had very small window and construction noise near by started daily at 7am! We were not made aware of this. Staff spoke good English and service was good. Internet was good too. They had done a good job with cleaning up after the floods in Nov 2017. Excellent location & breakfast selection.

Nice hotel by the river

A family group of 5 Adults stayed for a week at the end of October 2017 and really enjoyed the experience. We had three separate rooms which were close to one another. The bed configuration was different in each room but suited our needs. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old Town but can be tiring with the heat and humidity. A small boat which is free goes from the wharf at the riverside of the hotel and makes it easier to just walk back. The boat goes at different times of the day on the hour, but does not go after 4pm The swimming pool is not suitable for small children unless VERY well supervised as there is no fencing or very shallow areas. With the swim up bar it is really an adult pool. There are lots of loungers but some people think if they just put an article on then that makes it theirs for the day!!!. Perhaps its more common than I thought. The hotel has a range of tours that they provide and the guides that go on the Tours with you are excellent and very well organised.

Great location close to old town and in river

We loved the hotel for its location and peaceful setting on the river. Hoi An is a great place to stay we had 4 nights and it was a good amount of time to see things as well as a couple of day trips. The food is so good and so cheap we ate like kings, the old town is so pretty with all the traditional architecture and it's a vibrant place to be night and day.

Very good resort with great location. Right on the night market, and 5 minute walk to old city. Beach is few KM away - but it is not Thailand. Beach not great, and we preferred the resort beautiful swimming pool. Good breakfast.
