Just poor service, no customer service by the staff inside the bar and grill, including the guy and front desk of hotel had to make a complaint
Don’t go
Noisy neighbours up to 3 am, no one on reception, no one to answer phone after numerous calls. No hot water, fire alarm three times in night. Had food there, hairs in food. Won’t go again. Staff tried to rectify but damage done
Fire alarm went off at 5.30 am and then no hot water for the remaining time of our stay
Staff are not helpful
Unusual
I was called by the hotel to see if I was attending at 20:04. I said I would be 1 hours. Whe. I arrive the automatic checking said that may room was not ready and they would look after my bags this was at 9pm Someone attend to me and said we will check you in, they said they had called to see if I was attending to ensure my room would be ready. Ready at 9pm? When I went to my room and went to bed to watch the tv. The electricity went off 2-3 time meaning I could watch the tv. I went asleep which was a good part of my stay
Ok until a herd of elephants moved into a room above us - very little sound insulation. Room cleaning had not been the best - check the state of the mattress!
Lovely room, modern and comfortable. Only downside was the roman blind didnt keep light out from car park so led to distrubed nights sleep. Easily rectified with some curtains.
Christmas party stay
Comfortable room nice powerful shower & great Christmas party night. Good food, good music
Not as good
We always stay at the Village hotel when in Coventry it has always been excellent but not this time asked room to be cleaned wasn't done, the room was just not up to scratch. We were not warned our room was above a party room loud music on till 1am
Pretty good but loud music from Xmas party went on way past midnight and disrupted my daughter s sleep
Great place
Had a lovely stay great location for our trip exhibiting at the NEC The restraunt/bar was great could relax no hassle tring to fine somewhere to eat The staff were d friendly polite very helpful. We enjoyed the use of the swimming pool found we could unwind Will definitely book again next year
Wonderful stay , hotel has absolutely everything you need perfect location would highly recommend
Needs an upgrade
Room was tired, bathroom had a creaky floor and was not in the best of conditions, shower head was leaking. Fan running all the time in the bathroom was annoying and the windows did not seal shut properly. There was quite a bit of party noise from neighbouring rooms.
Dirty facilities, and room
Comfy beds!
Positives- easy check in process, spacious room, comfortable beds, great shower, fab smelling toiletries. Negative- room could do with better lighting.
Meh!
It was OK but the rooms are a bit tacky and the breakfast was poor. The gym and pool area are great through.
Missed opportunities.
My room did not have adequate lighting and it seemed really dark even with the blinds open. Bathroom had water on the florrs after a shower due base over flowing. Maybe have a longer shower glass to avoid this. On my 2nd night only 1 towel was given whwn 2 people were staying in thw room. I had to request for another towel. Bar staff were very rude by serving others and leaving me last and waiting to served took a long time. No apology was given!
Average
The check in was quick and easy. The entrance was busy and tables dirty. The passage was outside the room was very dirty gave a dirty feel. The room was fine a little dusty and not fresh smelling. The room above us and opposite where very noisy.
As always at Village Hotels. Great shower, bed and large TV - the essentials for a good stay. Convenient parking and great gym/pool and a good choice of classes of you like... Staff are always friendly and efficient. The menu is good, but if you're a regular diner at Village Hotels it does become a bit repetitive. Overall though very good.
Clean Hotel, with friendly staff
Incredibly convenient location for when we visit family, and well priced. Clean hotel, with friendly staff. This was our second stay, and we will book again.
Good
Really comfortable room
I’ve stayed at many Village Hotels and this was tired and ready for a refurb v other locations. Cleanliness and condition of room below par as well.
Walls are paper thin, we could hear every word the next room were saying, less than ideal when that room was the congregation point for lots of people late at night then again very early in the morning. Noise even travels from events downstairs which go on until the early hours of the morning. Window did not close properly, letting in a cold draft, tried putting the radiator on but it smelt of burning so thought best to leave that alone. Did ask for a room move but none available. Probably the worst nights sleep I've had in a hotel in a long time. The room itself was clean and fine though and the pool facilities also good.
House keeping removed all the towels and the bath mat every morning and we had to go to reception every afternoon when we returned to get new ones , We didn’t even require them to be changed and were happy to keep the same ones for the duration of our stay to reduce the amount of water a detergent used
A vibrant and bustling hub for events and drinks with great decor and facilities. For staying, it served its purpose for 1 night and I would probably stay again if I couldn’t find something else. We checked in late and were made aware that the last room available “might smell”, I had asked why but the member of staff said they weren’t sure but assured us that it had been cleaned. The room had a slight odour of smoking (cannabis) and was confirmed by the remnants of ash on the window sill. A sickly-sweet air freshener was plugged in but we needed to get our heads down and it wasn’t so bad that we needed to complain. The room decor was nice, though I question the cleanliness of a velour headboard..! The shower was great (albeit, don’t expect a dry floor mat when you step out) and the Espa products were a nice touch. Starbucks down in the reception for a quick coffee and bite in the morning. Overall a so-so stay - bear in mind that there are events on here which run until 1am.
Nice stay
It was a lovely family stay. We loved the facilities especially the pool and gym. The location was great.
Harrassed on check in and check out, despite saying I can operate the self check in they persisted to interfere. Loud music on and off from a neighbouring room, albeit earlier in the evening you cannot just call reception you need to access a myriad of QR codes
Easy check in, helpful staff, really comfy bed. Bit warm in room 133 but the Dyson fan helped. Modern and clean.
Enjoyed the one night stay, staff were friendly. The food was reasonably priced. Only downside was that the room was a bit dusty, the carpet could have done with being vacuumed.
Great stay.
Really great stay. The receptionist and staff are really friendly and amazing stay.
Fantastic overnight stay.
Staff were not friendly in the pub area. Took me ages to get served and food took over an hour to arrive. The "club" rooms area was no noisy. Was not made feel welcome at all.
Hotel blind chain broken so it could not be raised, no air conditioning available, bathroom was not very clean. Breakfast choice is very limited. However due to location it was convenient.
Hotel was far too warm and no air conditioning in the rooms. Our room was also so far away from anything it made the experience poor. The bar, staff and food were excellent it was just a shame the room wasn’t. When we also checked Into the room we had dirty towels in the bathroom and rubbish under the bed.
Wedding venue
Stayed here for a family wedding, nice lots to do, quiet well appointed rooms
Too hot had to leave early
No air con, so uncomfortable in this heat, will never return oh and a little fan is not acceptable. The Dyson fan in the room didn’t work either
Was a best hotel I have stayed so far. Nice services. my son enjoyed so much.
better signage direction would be helpful from the upstairs back to reception.
Walls and carpet was in need of cleaning
We stayed at this hotel as we were at Silverstone across 4 days and is roughly around a 40-60 minute drive (depending on what time you leave to and from). We were welcomed very late in the evening and were able to check in on the self service check in (and check out) service, we also we were also warmly welcomed by reception. Rooms were clean (comfy bed!!) and so was the bathroom (which is a big thing for me!!), very spacious too. We had room service (for one night) which was super expensive which was the only downside but the food was delicious. The facilities, I can’t comment on as we didn’t get to use them as we didn’t have enough time which was a shame!! The area around the hotel is great, so many places to eat and drink too and the hotel also has a mini Starbucks in the reception area. Would highly recommend and if we do Silverstone again for 2025, I would easily come back to this hotel!! Thank you!
First time at the village hotel
My stay was great, had a lovely time
The property is modern and high tech check in and out. Staff helpful but no real interaction with guests. Our room wasn't made up once in the four days we stayed. Busy and sometimes noisy with people attending gym and swimming activities snd corporate events.
Location was good for my planned business trip, Bathroom was grimy in parts, no AC in the room. Breakfast is rather limited in choice. Plenty of parking.
Malcom at reception was brilliant , went above snd beyond as we needed to get in to the room early as we had to change and get to a funeral as soon as we got there. Nice one mate, it was appreciated . Nick
Handy location
Originally allocated. Twin room for a double room booking . Got them to change it to double which was kitted out for disabilities . Overall not bad
Airport
Convenient for a stay over near the airport
Poor service would not recommend
Awful service rubbish - room service app didn’t work so I went down stairs to reception who advised app not working go into bar/restaurant to order after queuing bar was very busy I was informed there would be no food for a couple of hours due to being busy in diabetic I need to eat! Went back to reception and after explaining what had happened I was advised to go 10 minutes down the road to Sainsbury’s shocking!!! I won’t be staying here again
Had a swimming pool
Excellent Coventry overnight stay.
Excellent overnight stay on one of the warmest days of the year so far. Pleasent modern hotel, food and drinks available in lobby pub / bar, clean and airy, excellent facilities including a pool, sauna and steam room available to guests staying club room level or above along with free parking. Even managed to watch the England/Denmark football match in their cinema styled TV room next to the bar. Overall excellent.
The room was grubby, there were crumbs and food on the desk chair seat, and the room looked like it was being used to store stuff so there was limited space available. It didn’t feel clean and comfortable. Housekeeping were also very impatient, knocking on the door an hour before check out time and asking each time we left the room so didn’t feel like you benefited from the 11:00 check out as housekeeping were hovering around the room from 9:30
Great location, great facilities and great room
Excellent thanks
Friendly Staff. Small Changes.
From when we arrived there were friendly staff on hand to help us checking in and getting to our rooms. However, in getting to our rooms we noticed that some of the light switches did nothing. There didn't appear to be a ceiling light for over the bed area, only for the corridor and bathroom. And in the bathroom there was no extractor fan which made showers less comfortable. The next few mornings we enjoyed getting up and getting breakfast where the bar and staff were very happy to help and it was good food. I would reccomend staying here. Ideally they might fix these small room animalies and implement eco friendly towels / cleaning service as an option for guests.
the room was cold
Well worth the money
Very surprised. Room was lovely very spacious. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Only low point, breakfast was adequate. Plenty available but not cooked well.
Great room
The staff greeting us were friendly and polite, the room was spacious great bed excellent shower and a quiet area id say 10/10
First stay at the village hotel
Business trip, first night I couldn’t sleep due to the noise of music. Breakfast is very limited in choice. Plenty of paid parking available
Below Standard
2 night stay 2 adults, 2 children. The rooms are in need of refurb, the carpet is thread bear in places and the stains are bad across the whole floor, paint is peeling in the bathroom on both the walls and door. I used the QR code to live chat as we were short on towels on arrival, i also mentioned how there was popcorn on our floor (i assume from the previous people), some one brought me some towels and totally ignored the fact id complained about my rooms not being hoovered. The beds were clean and comfortable, no concerns. We specifically booked this hotel due to the use of the pool for the kids( dont bother). Children are restricted to when they can use it (sundays 1pm-7pm etc),we had plans during these times. and its very busy during the adult only times as its popular with the locals. The first evening we went to the bar for drinks, a newbie served us ( which is fine everyone has to learn), except twice during it he went to the end of the bar to chat to a gentleman about sport. Laughable really. Food was alright on the second night and service was standard. For the price you can stay in better conditions, you are paying for facilities that arent aimed for hotel guests.
No rooms after pre booking, turned away ad midnight
Needs improvement
Remote control in room not working, carpet was sullied and torn. Drainage in bathroom sink was very slow causing odour in the bathroom. Paint peeling off wall in bathroom and spare pillows were bobbled. Staff were excellent in terms of service throughout my stay and the iron in room was great.
Staff and service were very polite.check in was excellent. for lunch we order wraps, loaded fries with chicken and from kids menu sausage with mash, peas and ice cream. Well...waiting time around 30min with couple of guest around at12.30pm...fries arrived with no chicken, sausage with beans,no ice cream. Chicken Wrap was ok but no seasonings at all. My room 140 was dusty and bathroom needed better clean.i do understand somedays it might be busier then others and is not possible to deepclean however this was "must do"everyday clean. However we really enjoyed our stay. Swimming pool was amazing.
Typical village hotel, reliable standards.
Decent
I’ve stayed here before and didn’t have a great experience, however this was much better. I arrived late and tired, one of the night staff helped me check in quickly. The room was much better quality, the breakfast was ok. For the price I can’t complain
Okay But Not Great!
As someone that stays in a lot of hotels during the course of a year, this was my first experience of staying at a Village Hotel and I have to say it will probably be my last. While the hotel and room was comfortable, it lacked attention to detail. silly things like, no cup or glass in the bathroom and no remote for the TV. While at breakfast they were constantly running low on the basics, such as scrambled eggs, beans and bacon. Pricewise the hotel was higher than others in the area, but offeres a lower standard of service and quality. So summing up, my advise would be to shop around for better value for money.
Rubbish
Room was in the back end of the hotel, no air con. Radiators were not on so was cold, no real way to control temperature other than a Dyson cool fan. No glasses at all so had to use a Mug for a glass of water. Room service ordered but limited selection, firstly lost and never received via their mobile order - no one picking up phone to check or answering their non human app to be able to query. Finally picked up call after an hour (no phones in room mind). Room service delivered nearly two hours after ordered - and vaguely warm. Gym / Sauna rammed as it’s clearly locals choice. Don’t bother staying here.
Great weekend stay
Great pool kids enjoyed the splash time. Room is basic but suited us fine. The duvet is very thick so can get warm at night
Village Hotel
Nice hotel for a one night stay, good facilities.Easy to park.
Night away
Our stay was great really enjoyed it
it was great thank you for the team at the hotel
Great hotel with excellent facilities
Great hotel in a good location. Excellent value for money and the evening meal was good. Lovely pool and gym. The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable.
A pleasant stay
After reading some of the reviews, I must say my stay was better than expected. Large car park, clean, warm room with heating that could be regulated accordingly. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had two shower heads with reasonable power. The bathroom also had complimentary suds. At check in I requested for a room on the upper floor and the duty manager was more than happy to oblige. Friendly staff, vibrant atmosphere at night. A few minutes drive will take you to a eatery hub if you do not fancy hotel food.
location and ease of transport
Leisure facilities were excellent, everything else was sub par, especially considering the cost of our 4 night stay.
Great place to stay
Excellent stay again, highly recommended, room nice and clean and comfortable
Enjoyed our stay overall, quiet rooms, comfy bed and great shower, breakfast good, but sort the potatoes out they either need to be crispy or hash browns!
I stay in a lot of hotels both for business and leisure. This Village Hotel was 'ok'. Finding a previous occupants contact lens at the side of the bed wasn't fun and the bathroom was incredibly tired and grotty. The staff were lovely but you got the impression they were lacking in energy. Great location and the usual Village trappings but not my best experience by a long way.
Lack of light
The room was very poorly lit. It was impossible to tell if the room was vlean or not.
All good thanks
Overnight stay at the Village Hotel
It was a great stay, The room was Nice, the health and fitness suite was amazing, the staff were friendly, would recommend!
Poor
Tired dated rooms. Poor breakfast and had my car broken into in the night. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
Brilliant stay
Have stayed at the Village several times, we love it, the staff remember you, the service is brilliant as long as we can afford it
Great stay
Really good weekend with a few tweaks it would be a fantastic weekend.
Extremely noisy, bar and club on the ground floor. Blinds don’t fully cover the windows
Poor Service
Booked a club room to include gym and swimming but was then told by a staff member swimming was until 6pm for children. Walked past the pool at 6.45pm to see children still in pool, then told it ends at 7pm so my children missed out. Complained twice about noise from room above both in the evening and at 5.30am in the morning and nothing done about it. Given a weak apology which doesn’t cut it. I stay in hotels both home and abroad weekly and this is my first ever negative review and won’t be rushing back here.
Darts q shool trip jdc
Fantastic stay very clean and nice staff Drinks at bar over priced Very nice thow stay again ? Yes i would
Good stay
Rooms good size and clean, check in really easy and bar reasonable price
Sleeping
Relaxing
Main shower head did not work
Lovely hotel I booked this for my son and grandson. My son said it was a lovely hotel
The bathroom was disgusting. There was still items from a previous guest. A used razor on the shower. Long hairs on the shower and used tissues in the bin. Grim
Lovely stay and had a free upgrade
Good gym but dirty room
Really great gym and many friendly staff but unfortunately my room was dirty and really hadn’t been cleaned properly. Unfortunately, no notes were taken when I gave some friendly feedback to receptionist.
Overall i had a comfortable stay. The room and bathroom were both clean. Dust on the lamp in the corner and a couple of stains on the carpet made it look a bit tired. Floor was a bit squeaky at the bathroom entrance too.
Basic
Basic is the best word to describe it. There was a good iron in the room, that’s the only positive thing I can say. The room smelt damp when I checked in and it was very morbid looking
Not great
Check in was easy enough as automated. Room was only just OK, no plugs near any mirrors, a bit old and tatty Bathroom was very old and tatty Shower was ok but again mouldy and old Would not stay again
Good but needs destination charging infrastrrough
It was good with good parking but there was no destination EV charging infrastructure to plug into overnight (please note we I'm not suggesting a couple of rapid charges, but destination 3kWh ones covering the car park so there's good availability).
A very welcoming hotel
We've stayed here before didn't realize the check out had changed to 10am from 11am but the staff were excellent about it
Noisy dirty room, staff disinterested when asked about it. Restarant service slow and equally disinterested

Nice hotel
Hotel was nice, although our room was a very long way away from reception involving 2 lifts. Didn’t use bar as it was really busy but looked ok. Pool was very nice.
