Unforgettable experience in resort-y suburb

Very clean, service was very nice, in a cute quiet location. Beds are soft, showers are beautiful, minibar was well stocked. Only qualm were that the a la carte breakfast was very average — just eat the buffet breakfast as it’s a nice Asian selection.

We received a lot of personalized attention. This included a birthday cake in my son’s room, and a packed breakfast for my early ride to the airport on my last day.

Exceptional hotel

This is a fabulous hotel in a tranquil location. The hotel has an authentic old world charm but with all modern amenities. The staff were amazing the restaurant was good and the bar area was very atmospheric. We will certainly book this hotel when we next visit Malaysia

The waitress aren’t wearing their mask properly and with flu like symptoms handling our food. Bed had bugs and room wasn’t properly cleaned as there were previous receipts of the past guests

Fantastic hotel, excellent service

This hotel is fantastic, we travelled in Asia for a month and this was our favourite hotel. Location is great and the rooms and pool are very special. The staff were kind and attentive, particularly Duncan we will not forget his kindness. We will be back.

Absolutely delighted

What a beautiful and serene villa right in the middle of KL city. The rooms and private pools are obviously the best feature but great breakfast and personalised service are very pleasing as well.

Swimming fool access was good and all of foods are great. Jakugi operating time should be user selectable at once in a day.

My fiancé & I had a lovely time at Villa Samadhi In Kuala Lumpur. The service was great, especially by Hassan, he always had a pleasant smile and went out of his way to serve us. The mattress is very comfortable. We shall definitely visit again and look forward to staying at their other properties in Singapore, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

This place has never failed me. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are huge and kept clean all the time. Its location is very near the city center and yet very quiet and private. The breakfast is always prepared hot for you. I’ll definitely recommend this place!

My room’s jacuzzi didn’t work. Even after repairing man came, didn’t work. I’m sorry but we were so disappointed.

A Gem in the Heart of KL

This is really a gem in the heart of KL where we find a balance of tranquility and connectivity to city life. The Villa is luxurious and the food is just simply amazing! Happy hour with compliments every evening (1hour) motivates us to come out n gather... The breakfast order-by-the-menu offers great choices and the list of beverage is spoiling us! Turndown service added a personal touch for us to wind down. I definitely recommend this villa.

Everything was absolutely WOW! We loved the relaxed resort vibe and the incredible unbeatable service of every single staff member even the security guards! The massage was truly sublime. The complimentary treats and whirlpool in the room was so special and the generous breakfast and food at the restaurant for dinner was absolutely delicious! The location was fabulous and quiet. So incredibly relaxing we never wanted to leave wait and can’t to come back. Seriously I can’t rave enough about Villa Samadhi. Thank you so much!

Overall the villa is very nice, but our room is close to the main road, noise of traffic. But a quiet resort in the downtown, it's special!

An unforgettable stay

I am very impressed with the staff, the room, the hotel environment and the services. I will highly recommend anyone spending time in Kuala Lumpur to have at least 1-2 night stay there. The staff makes me feel very at home, the hospitality is incredible. It makes my 12 days stay there an unforgettable one, I miss it the moment I leave the hotel main gate. The room I stayed in was big and has a kitchen, making my stay there right at home. The hotel setting is very tranquil and peaceful, the staff are so friendly and thoughtful, I can't praise them enough. Don't think I can say more to express how enjoyable my stay there was. Can't wait to stay there again!

It is very private and felt exclusive. The best part is that it is right in the middle of the town!

A jewel retreat!

We loved everything about this villa in the heart of the city! The location was ideal for winding down and getting away from all the hustle and bustle. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous; the restaurant had great selections of local and western foods. It was a truly a wonderful experience!

Great staycation

Perfect for those who wants to spend all their time in this secluded oasis, cause you won’t want to leave! Sweet and helpful staff. There were a few things that you wouldn’t expect in this price class with outdated standard of blinds and locks around the window. We got a room facing parking despite booking indicating pool, but overall good stay.

The staff is extremely Hospitable. They cater to your needs; complimentary breakfast with “free” happy hour. Extremely clean facility and top notch friendly staff that goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable. Clean jacuzzi and pool; with amazing views of the villa and pool.

We booked the luxe sarang, however, the expedia description of the room is misleading. It states that it comes with a private plunge pool, which is not the case, as it is actually a private whirlpool inside the bathroom of the villa.

Past the lovely furnishings was the need of serious maintenance and a deep clean. The sink was blocked, the air con rattled all through the night, the outdoor lounge was dirty and stained and unhygienic, the sheets were threadbare and stained.and the in-room coffee was instant Nescafé. There was no iron and the food was very ordinary. Hardly five-star material. A shame, because it could be amazing.

Great ambience if you want some peace and quiet.

Nice ambience just across from the City centre. It’s about 20 mins walk from KLCC. It’s a small property with about 20+ rooms which maintains the quiet ambience as privacy. Very traditional design with lots of wood which gives the rustic feel but yet modern. Breakfast was great and the waiters were polite. Overall it’s a great place to stay while being close to the city.

I have travelled across the globe and stayed in countless hotels and Villa Samadhi counts in the top 3 best hotels in which I have stayed. The room size of the lux crib cannot be captured by the lense. It is positively immense. The attention to the smallest detail is quite evident. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Staying at Villa Samadhi was an experience I will gladly repeat. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this hotel. The service is among the best I’ve ever experienced and it is a very visually appealing place. Definitely recommend using the complimentary bug spray because of all the mosquitoes.

Nice stay, make sure plunge pool is on

Fantastic except the fact that the plunge pool was not turned on and did not realize until too late. It takes 2 hours or so to heat up, so it was cold when we used it at 8pm

I enjoyed my stay immensely. Mainly due to the hospitality of the staff and how quiet the hotel is despite being in the middle of the city. Great place to escape! Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful room and surrounds

This is an amazing villa/hotel just away from the KL concrete jungle. The rooms have a beautiful traditional Malaysian feel, are spacious and with every convenience. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and private. Highly recommended

romantic gateway in bustling city

we decided to cocoon ourselves in room and make use the time chilling at the day bed overlooking the pool, in room jacuzzi and watching cable tv from their high bed (its very high u literally have to climb up) very one of a kind touch of a villa, . samadhi provide a premium quality of toiletries and tea, free pressing for our pair of clothes they do know how to treat customer at best. Dine in food was just so-so but we had a grabfood to send us a meal samadhi allowed us to do that.

Amazingly chilled resort in the middle of the city

This is a great resort with the benefit of being quiet, luxurious but within walking distance of the city centre of KL. Awesome place!

Absolutely wonderful

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Was comfortable , room service was great and all staff made the stay that much more enjoyable. From the moment I got there Kumaran who greeted us until the day we left was always there to help. If I come back to KL I'd defo stay here again.

Decided to try villa samadhi for a retreat and it sure was worth it. The hardest part was checking out; we just wished we could stay longer! We felt very taken care of and the warmth of the place radiates throughout. The space was luxurious and comfortable. We thought being by the poolside would mean noise but no. It was serene and calm throughout. Will definitely make the trip again.

Everything is perfect except for one thing

Everything was great experience except for serious understaffed in breakfast dining area. We had to wait until the staff cleaned the table and to be seated because there was only one staff who served the food, cleaned the table and take the order. He was literally running around the place and looked panic. And there was one staff who makes the drinks. But other than this, room is confortable and big. Swimming pool area is relaxing and very pretty.

An Oasis in the City

A really delightful stay. We had a Luxe Saray room and it was definitely worth it for the outdoor jacuzzi tub and extra space. Wonderful to slip right into the pool from our terrace, too. Service is excellent, and I really appreciated how quickly they set things right--the outside laundry hadn't sent back our clothes, but the hotel staff was great about couriering them to our next location. Breakfast really delicious--there's a modest buffet (check out the brazier that's the toaster!) and a great menu of hot dishes and so many smoothies! This is a great place to splurge on a level of luxury that would cost twice this rate in Europe or the USA.

A relaxing stay in a comfortable spacious room in a beautiful small property. Nice touches include an extensive a la carte breakfast menu (in addition to a buffet) served until midday and a complimentary cocktail hour. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

An amazing, luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the city, Villa Samadhi is a surprising and delightful place to relax. From the stunning, queen-sized bed in the suite, to an outsize Jacuzzi bath and cascade shower, this is everything that epitomises Asian hospitality. The staff are charming and courteous, helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant is first class and not crazy expensive.

Is the second time I stayed there and I confirmed the wonderful experience I had the previous time. The staff is the nicest and always ready to help you, the rooms are sexy and comfortable and the details of the entire hotel are simply amazing.

An oasis in the middle of Kuala Lumpur

Spent two nights here at the end of a month long overseas trip with my wife. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Our room was beautifully decorated and very, very big. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The day bed in the bay window was a perfect spot for some reading. With wooden floors and most of the decor in dark timber the place was just fantastic. The villa has only 21 rooms and is ideal for couples. The small hexagonal (I think) dining room opens onto a beautiful swimming pool area with eight or nine double day beds around it. Set in the "ëmbassy"area of Kuala Lumpur, it is really very quiet for a mid-city location and you honestly feel like you aren't in the city, which is great after a day of exploring the busy metropolis that is KL. And all the staff, from Manager Ewan to the restaurant staff, the receptionists, even the gardeners and cleaners, were engaging and friendly which just made the stay very special. Couldn't recommend this place enough for a great place to stay in KL at a really affordable price.

An oasis in the city

This was our last stop in KL and wished we had stayed longer. From the moment you walked in, you felt like you were in a resort. We were welcomed like long lost friends and were checked in quickly and into our room within 10 minutes of waking through the door. WOW!!! the room we booked was one of the smallest on the grounds but it was huge! The bathroom was bigger than our master bedroom at home and had the most glorious rain shower. We went to cocktail hour and were served the most delicious cocktails- well worth making the effort to be at the bar at 6.30! We had dinner in the restaurant, again worth staying on site for. Breakfast is always a highlight in an upmarket hotel and we were not disappointed- you can choose from the buffet or the menu or have a bit of both. Nothing was any trouble for our waiters, even making a piccolo coffee for the first time for me at breakfast- it was the best coffee that I had while in Malaysia. If you looking for some respite from the hussle and bussle of KL with personalised service, and great coffee then this is the place to go!

Great but some drawbacks to Villa Samadhi

Overall a nice hotel with exceptional service and a fantastic manager (ewan). However, location lets this place down a little as you have to get a taxi everywhere. Other hotels were walking distance from the main city centre snd I'm not sure the extra comfort at the extra price balances that. The hotel was a bit underwhelming compared to the pics i'd seen and the jacuzie wasn't heated as much as I would like (intentionally I think because it can be hot in KL). Personally I would not book again but I know some people for sure would appreciate the extra comfort and exceptional service.

Amazing hotel hidden in the heart of Kuala Lumpur

1 night stay, and the ambiance you get the moment you step foot into Villa Samadhi is akin to a relaxing trip abroad in an exotic area. Considering it is just off such a busy road that is Jalan Ampang, it's amazing that we were able to enjoy such a tranquil atmosphere for a single night. Room facilities were great, very clean and very private, and the design of the hotel made us wish we booked longer than a single night to really appreciate everything it had to offer. Ewan, the Guest Relations manager and the rest of the staff made our stay very enjoyable, ensuring all our needs were met. Will definitely be staying again. Perfect for couples.

Luxurious, beautiful, tranquil - just stay here!

Amazing, cannot fault this place, exceptional from the moment we entered the gate to when we left. The room was exquisite, the bathroom - complete with large plunge pool/jacuzzi, was a real treat. We were showered with complementary snacks and cocktails during the cocktail hour. All the staff were excellent, from the manager to the cleaners. Can't recommend this place enough

Relaxing gem in the city

This hotel, the staff, the food, the service and the experience is top class. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by staff and given a delicious platter or exotic fruit, cakes and snacks upon arrival. There is happy hour from 6 to 7 so unlimited free delicious cocktails. This works well! Make sure you get the room with the plunge pool, its to die for. There are loads of mosquitoes as the hotel has lots of greenery so take repellent. Alot of it!

The most peaceful place we have ever visited. Lovely room. Food not quite as good as we were hoping and a long walk to Fisherman's village. Pool area lovely.

I have never seen a hotel asking guests to leave and still charge the full room price to my credit card. Before they force me to check out, they said they would process the refund soon, but once I left the property, they just denied they have ever said and no refund would be processed. That is really unacceptable by any standard....

Quiet Boutique hotel close to the city!

Villa samadhi is an amazing boutique hotel in a quiet area of the city yet super easy to get to the city centre. The staff are amazing and Ewen the manager is so helpful, offering great advice on restaurants and bars in the city. Both food and drinks are outstanding and the daily cocktail hour is a nice bonus. Would recommend this hotel any day!

Lovely small hotel

You would not believe you were in a city! Very tranquil, and a touch of luxury in a full on KL Costs £1 in a taxi to centre of KL. The staff are very good and go the extra mile. The hotel food was also exceptional.

Balinese shabby chic in the heart of KL

I loved this hotel which was a shabby chic oasis of tranquillity in the heart of bustling KL. Hiwever what really made it was the staff who were without exception friendly, knowledgeable and keen to make our stay memorable. They really went above and beyond. It's in a quiet area amongst the embassies which was exactly what we were looking for and with an excellent (and cheap!) uber service was perfectly placed for our needs. Would recommend without hesitation.

Relaxing and Luxurious Ambience

What an amazing place to end our honeymoon! After two weeks of trekking around Malaysia my husband and I treated ourselves to the nicest place we've ever stayed. Our room had pool back-door pool access, a private jacuzzi, lovely little fruit place, a small "congratulations" tray, a rainshower - but what was amazing was the calming, luxurious decor and utterly relaxed ambience. That's a hard feeling to create, of utter relaxation. Thank you Villa for an amazing honeymoon coda!

A peaceful, leafy oasis in busy KL

This hotel is charming. The staff are delightful; always smiling and helpful. We loved the location in the embassy area which was quiet and green and only a 15 minute walk from the shopping heart. We found travel notes from the thoughtful manager Ewan to be very useful and followed many of his suggestions. His recommendation to eat at Tamarind Springs was excellent. VIlla Samadhi is high on our list of favourite Asian getaways. We would definitely return.

Relaxing & peaceful place

The jacuzzi plunge tub was amazing although the timing of the heating is a little off. Great attentive & friendly staffs. Very relaxed place to ease your mind from the hustling city life. The food was pretty delicious too!

Wonderful but disfunctional & neglected

The hotel has wonderfull and romantic grounds and a very inspiring decor, mixing traditional (castle-like) spaces with modern resort-type grounds. However the grounds and facilities are in many cases disfunctional and looked neglected, in need of refurbishment. For example, to get to the breakfast restaurant, you couldn't go through the lobby, but had to go outside and around from the parking area. Similarly, there was no bridge over the pool, so the rooms with pool views, right opposite the restaurant, again had to go outside around the whole hotel and parking. Within the room, at least in ours, an open view shower was indeed romantic but having no door in the toilet is a bit too much. Overall we enjoyed our stay (especialy the policy of having your breakfast as late as you wish!), it's a wonderful hotel, like an oasis in the middle of a metropolis, but in need of refurbishment and some improvements in the functionality of the spaces.

Not Really a Pleasant Stay

Long weekend with my girlfriend as a birthday trip. We stayed in the Luxe Crib in which the room feature was impressive, with a spacious bedroom and plunge pool. It was supposed to be a wonderful experience until during the night we were severely disturbed by the mosquitoes in the room, and the mosquito spray did not work effectively. Furthermore there was no hot water from the shower so maintenance had to fix it on the other day. However on the second day it's the plunge pool's turn which it didn't heat up according to the schedule. So maintenance came late evening to fix but still it couldn't get warm at all. I appreciate the concierge's effort to proactively solve the problem and offer a better service in the next stay, but this was undoubtedly below our expectation with a series of unfortunate incidents.

Villa beautiful, staff need training

Sometimes when you need a vacation from Malaysia but you can't leave town, Villa Samadhi seems like the perfect solution. It is secluded, and exclusive. The owner of this hotel obviously has an eye for detail. You pay the price for such a facility (around1000 RM/night). The one problem we encountered here is that the staff do not meet the high class expectations of the hotel guests. Check in time was 2pm. My husband and I arrived after 3 pm. The employee at the desk unapologetically told us that there were no rooms ready for us. When I explained to her that we had arrived an hour AFTER check in time, she did not seem to be fussed and asked us to wait 'a while'. What? Not acceptable. The villa also provides a free shuttle van from there to their sister restaurants. We took the shuttle to Tamarind Springs for dinner. The driver who took us to the restaurant was fabulous. He was apologetic about our room, was a professional driver and was very courteous. He almost made me forget about the late check in. However, the driver who brought us back was horrible! He had been smoking in the van and it stunk when we got in. He began to drive us home and immediately started texting on his phone while driving. When I asked him if he was going to text and drive all the way home, he said "It's ok, ma'am". I informed him that it was indeed NOT ok at all!! Even after I said something, he continued to drive erratically and text! I was very upset by the time we returned to the hotel.

Overall ok , However the food not up to standard, and the air conditioner in the room not cool enough.

Mixed feelings

This is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at, a real oasis of calm in busy KL. However we did have a few issues with the service: when we arrived security had no record of our booking despite having called and emailed in advance, so we had no towels or any of the lovely touches that other guests mentioned in the room (welcome letter with info, chocolates). The next morning we were told that the breakfast buffet was until 11.30 so we went at 10.50 and found the buffet already cleared, and we were made to feel like second class guests as we weren't allowed the welcome cocktail offered to others because we had booked through hotels.com. (I ordered a mocktail and was surprised on check out to be charged 90% of the full cocktail price, unlike all other places we went to which charged about 50%). Also broken power sockets by the bed so had to charge phone in bathroom only, I reported this but they weren't very interested. Still, the rooms were amazing, plunge pool/jacuzzi and double rain shower, reclining sofa in curtained off area by window, beautiful. Also lovely pool area with comfortable shaded beds to recline on surrounded by palm trees.

We loved our 2 days here, this hotel is a little bit of paradise in the centre of KL, the staff were wonderful and we had a very chilled out stay.

Oasis in the city

We absolutely loved Villa Samadhi. It was like an Oasis in KL. It felt as though we were in Bali or in the jungle rather than in the middle of a city. We were very happy with the level of service we received especially from Raid. The staff were very helpful in organising booking for us including complimentary transfers to their sister restaurant Tamarind Springs. We loved the little touches, like different homemade Malaysian snacks delivered in a steamer basket to the room each day. The bathroom was gorgeous. Only fault was the we had to continuously ask for more towels. Our request were met promptly.

Relaxing hotel in central KL

Spent two nights at the Villa Samadhi. Stayed in a crib room, which had an indoor spa - very nice. Room was very spacious with good facilities. Breakfast available any time during the day and very good. Would definitely return. Recommended.

Worst Hotel we stayed on our trip.

There are definitely pros and cons about staying at the hotel, for us there were sadly more cons and I would not recommend it to anyone. The positives- It is in a beautiful location close to everything. The resteraunt is very good (best food we had in Malaysia). The design and rooms are very cool and trendy... Feels very much like a magazine. The cons- now maybe we arrived on a bad day but it did seem that we had entered faulty towers. Things did not get off to a good start. When we arrived we asked for a room downstairs and were told we would need to pay circa 200us for the privilege... After a heated debate we were accommodated in a room with no pool access but on the ground floor for no extra money. The debate about this seemed ridiculous to us... The reception staff member seemed not to care and unable to make a decision and forthright that under no circumstances could we have a ground floor room..we had to ask for the manager to be called... He said he would see what he could do and we were accommodated in a room with no pool access but on the ground floor. We were told to go for a walk for an hour or two so the room could be made ready. Things did not go well from here... We had trouble using the TV (it is very complex- three remotes are involved) and the wifi did not seem to work for my husband (I had no troubles)..when we tried to ring reception about the TV we discovered there is no phone and my husband had to walk out of the room and get someone to come and f

Lovely old Malay style boutique hotel

It was gorgeous to stay in an old style but totally modern boutique hotel only a 15 minute walk from the centre.We stayed in the loft which was amazing. This included a fabulous shower which opened out to the trees and tropical birds. Breakfast was lovely and the food in the restaurant delicious. All the staff were very friendly. Our room was the height of luxury and a blend of old and modern.We had a plunge pool and could elect to have breakfast on our private verandah under an umbrella of trees. Excellent for honeymoon couples.

Very peaceful

My wife and I spent 4 nights in September. Very friendly and helpful staff... Clean rooms, we stayed in luxe crib which has extremely spacious with a separate lounge room .and balcony with sofa and fan which cannot be seen in the website.. The complimentary home made cookies are to die for. Comfy beds. The bathroom was the winner for us , it is out of this world. The hotel has a wood type effect so don't expect shiney marble floors. Breakfast had a lot of choices but not super delicious. Sometimes you have to wait a while for a taxi to city centre as there is traffic in Kuala Lumpur most we waited was 40 mins which was frustrating. No phones in the room so you have to walk down to reception for assistance which was very annoying . Would we stay again ?? Most definatly.. This hotel is unique and beautiful

Wonderfull place by all means. Marvin,I hope the name is correct,was very helpful,he deserves five stars. This place is great for honeymooners.
