Needs a huge capital inversion
This property is stunning, a beautiful centuries old hacienda. Beautiful amenities, comfortable beds, amazing pool and not to mention the staff, amazing customer service. This is my go to option when in Merida.
This old Hacienda is an amazing place to stay in Merida, in a very quiet and elegant zone of downtown Merida. Place is beautiful. VERY comfortable beds, and blackout curtains so you can have an amazing sleep. Will be back soon
Lobby area is cozy and comfortable. The rooms need serious renovation.
Great service nice location safe and comfortable
Everything was fantastic for me and my family, would definitely go again !!
Muy bueno
Beautiful place to stay
The hotel’s cleaning service was abysmal. When we arrived the first night, our room was already dirty. Not properly cleaned. And when we returned from a long day out, the room was unmade, and there was no housekeeping available to clean it. They simply skipped cleaning without any reason. The bed was unmade, the bathroom was unclean, there were no towels, trash was not taken out, and so on. They should have had cleaning staff on call 24/7, especially since it was their fault. The maintenance management needs to grasp the concept of the hospitality industry. The idea of staying in a hotel is to have all these services provided daily

Really nice hotel. I be back soon.
Beautiful reception, outstanding service.
This is a beautiful property! The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I would go back!
Front desk people were very rude
Beautiful hotel that is conveniently located. Multiple food option in the hotel and they have a lobby bar. Staff were excellent. Our mini fridge wasn’t working and they had it swapped out in 10 minutes. Definitely touristy but definitely worth the stay!
Had a great time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and very interesting area to explore.
True 5 stars in Merida. Top notch facilities with 3 restaurants in premises. Rooms are good size with comfy beds and big bathrooms.
Dangerous
Bar area water pools need lights on edges after dark.
The property is old and tired and is in desperate need of an upgrade. It’s at best a three star hotel. It needs to be cleaned, painted, and upgrade with new furniture and fixtures. It is not worthy of the Hilton name. It is a three star property. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly when needed. They helped make the stay comfortable. The restaurant was good for breakfast. I would not stay there again.
Very good
Great property, walkable location.
Hotel was upscaled couple of decades ago, needs upgrades, plumbing & AC works but obviously are old. Hotel smells with humid air, can't open any window to get fresh air into the room or whole ways.
Rooms are quite big. Beds were comfortable.
Very nice and clean hotel. We had a pleasant stay.
Good location. The hotel was nice but old. Really good space in the rooms. Really nice staff and service Our AC didnt work well. We only had breakfast at their restaurant at was average. They can improve
I never effing made it there or got a refund. Thanks to American Airlines and Expedia/Billa Mercedes.
Nice property, great staff. Lots of food and tourist options around town that are walkable.
We ( a family of 4 with one young child) stayed on the 31st Dec for 2 nights. Just outside the hotel there was a huge open air NYE event with music blaring until 3am. Literally blaring like we were at a pop concert. The hotel did not warn us about this, despite selling tickets to the event so being fully aware and a part of the event. We got 3 hours sleep. I can’t believe others have not also complained. We also ask for breakfast to go at 7am on the 1st Jan and when we came down to collect it ( we were going on an excursion) which they said yea to. Then when we came down they didn’t have it, knew nothing about it and said breakfast opens at 8 not 7, so they couldn’t do anything. It’s a pity their staff in reception the day before didn’t even know what time they serve breakfast! We also asked about laundry, as the hotel claims to have a laundry service. However, no info to say that it would not be running over the new year period so we were stuck there as well. Overall lovely hotel building, nice rooms and location but poor service
Una opción excelente. Buena ubicación y servicio
Thank you
Parking garage smelled strong of sewer.
Great place!
Excellent Location! Two block from Paseo Montejo.
Clean, decent hotel that might lack a bit of personality though not in any way bad. Food service should be 24 hours, especially on Sundays when most of Merida has been shut down
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Great Hotel and Staff is very helpful.
Amazing hotel. Cesar, Alessandra and Manuel were so helpful in our stay. The restaurants in the hotel are very good and highly recommend the breakfast. The buffet was so good and the service is A++ The fitness center is perfect, has great new cardio equipment and enough free weights to get in a great workout. The pool was awesome, clean and warm. Overall this is a great hotel in a walkable location to everything.
Great Hotel!! GREAT GYM and Staff!
Wonderful Hotel! Perfect location and close to everything. Staff is amazing and Manuel and Front Desk Manager Cesar offered first class service to us. THE GYM IS GREAT! All equipment worked and was cleaned all the time and had A/C.
Awesome hotel
This is a real Gem !!! Love it
Good hotel.
Clean and aesthetic
It’s a wonderful location. Clean and quiet. 3 unique restaurants on site.
Going back next year
Spent a week here. Nice hotel that falls short of a five star rating due to minor shortcomings such as under-provisioned in-room expresso machine, lack of refresh on towels and sheets in the course of a week-long stay, missing pieces in gym exercise equipment, and a crowded noisy dining room. But on the whole a pleasant stay as experienced in one of the better upscale hotels in Centro.
This hotel is fantastic. The location is so close and convenient to Paseo de Montejo. The lobby and this hotel is absolutely amazing The restaurants are fantastic with great service and delicious food The rooms are large, clean with very comfortable bed We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel
Very close to paseo montejo!
I wish I could of stay longer
Excellent hotel close by paseo montejo with good and free parking
I have stayed on several occasions at this property and was very very disappointed at how run down it is and how the lack of training of staff is so obvious. 1) the furniture in the bedroom needs a coat of paint and fixing room 516 While I understand that windows do not open due to their supposedly environmental sustainable aircoditioning, the windows are not properly sealed , allowing hot air to come in as well as the noise from the airconditioning compressors on the roof in front. Ordered room service in the evening. What a disaster, The soup was so concentrated it was inedible - and believe me - I have had many lime soups and know what I am talking about. The Alfredo pasta was just a pasta in cream with no seasoning or cheese - also inedible - The dishes were served with neither bread or butter as they used to. When I called room service to ask why they had not sent it, I was curtly told that I had not asked for it and that they only had a small amount as they were not prepared for room service. I asked to speak to the manager the next day as wished to inform him of what our impressions only to be told he was not available for clients and was not on property. The cleaning of the room also left much to be desired. we used our socks to walk on the cold floor as there were no slippers (cost control reception said). The room had just been cleaned. In less than 5 minutes our socks were filthy. Breakfast was edible but barely with a lot of grease involved. WOULD NOT STAY AGA
Great property, a little old but super staff
It is a beautiful hotel close to Merida center and a beautiful avenue where you can walk at any time
Friendly staff. Great place overall
No bed lamp. Took two requests to get one. Toilet blacked up twice. Mean room servicing.
A nice building with a great location plus the service and atmosphere was great.
Morning Restaurant, food was delicious and the staff very kind. Good buffet.
Mercado 60 across the street is a great Marche from 6-midnight! Don’t bother with the hotel restaurants - they are not delivering on their own hype :(
Muy buen servicio
Great value, beautifully designed hotel, with great food options and amenities!
It was clean
I liked the location. I dislike the fact that our room was hot. AC wasn’t working since we checked in at 3pm. It took staff hours before they moved us to another room, around 11pm. I didn’t like that they closed the pool daily at 8pm, where at another places it closes at 10:00pm. Restaurant it’s overpriced for what it is. I booked the room based on the pictures but they remodeled the lobby but forgot the rooms. The rooms are bathrooms are so outdated.
Due to my inconvenience for the delays and cancellations from my airline which was out of my control. I had to cancel my trip without even staying and the hotel Villa Mercedes still charged me a penalty for one night stay. Which I should get me refund back.
My son went swimming in the hotel pool and ended up with 2 splinters from the wooden deck. Be careful! The pool area looks outdated. I didn't have a fridge in my room and was offered a different room. Hotel is about 30 minute walk from center of town. It is well worth the walk because of all of the shops and restaurants you pass along.
Great place to stay very convenient
Very nice place.
Nobody at entrance to help with bags or welcome. Tried to use ramp but locked. Opens only from inside. Lobby and restaurants lovely, food good, no visual promotion. Room: Bathroom: mold on lower shower glass. Shower head not working. Bathroom floor needs polishing, grout dirty. Bed comfortable, spacious. Could do with a bit more decoration. Outside grass area, not mowed since long. Lots of garbage on surrounding area. trivago pic shows pink hotel, actual color is blue. Very little supervision from management. Corridor to room window sills dirty. Sorry, would not go back.
Villa Mercedes is awesome the rooms are big, they have 3 restaurants with very unique cuisine: a Japanese restaurant, our favorite: Maria Raiz y Tierra they make exceptional tradicional food and we ate the best rice pudding! besides delicious entrees. And to top it off the best pizza baked with real wood in an artesanal brick oven.
Very welcoming
Excelente location and beautiful premises
I loved the hotel. The only comment I have is that they don’t have an elevator from the garage to the lobby but other than that it was amazing
Gran servicio, excelente ubicación, instalaciones impecables.
Staff was polite, and helpful
Don’t stay
The decor and restaurant options were spectacular !!
The pool is very nice. The food was amazing at the restaurants. We ate at Maria's twice and each time it was better than the last. Our air conditioner broke the first night we were there and they immediately put us in a brand new room. No questions asked. We may be going back in the winter time so it won't be 105°. F. But if we do we'll definitely stay there again
First impression in the pictures, aesthetically pleasing. Actually arriving at the hotel it was rather disappointing. Arrived an hour prior to check in and was told to wait until 3pm, no problem. We waited until 3pm and saw a family walk in and were immediately helped with their luggage and everything. Their room was ready and they went upstairs. Initial thought was maybe my room is ready. To my surprise, it was not. Waited maybe 15 more minutes and was not updated at all. Decided to walk up to ask and they told me it was ready. When were they going to notify me the room was ready? The room itself was very outdated. The air conditioning took forever to work, there was limited plugs around the room, and the shower area seems to flood the bathroom every time unless there’s a towel to block the water.
Excelente ubicación a unos pasos de Paseo Montejo. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas. Amenidades de lujo y excelente servicio
The hotel in general needs maintenance, the three restaurants need a change in menu. the location is great and convenient. very kind workers.
Perfect hotel for our little family, the kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet was delicious with options for all, friendly staff.
Clean. Employees front desk no very friendly
Everything was Great!
Definitely recommend
Beautiful hotel. Nice staff. Restaurants are not very good onsite. Easily walkable area.
Very good hotel, amazing pool and the location it’s top!
Our second stay and it was great other than the gym was closed during our stay. The gym was under maintenance. We will definitely be back.
We were traveling with service dog and were not very happy about how we were treated in this hotel. I don't recommend this property to anyone traveling with service animals.
The lobby and the restaurants are decently decorated, the staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean but the furniture and everything are very outdated. I did not see that coming from a Curio by Hilton property .
Only one complaint they made buy a towel the was dirty and didn’t even try to wash it. Got home and washed it came perfectly clean. Everything else was perfect! Awesome friendly staff.
Our room was nice and large with tasteful decor. Bed was comfortable. Washroom had nice warm shower and lots of vanity room. Staff was friendly and helpful. We never used the pool or dinning areas but they looked clean and classy!
The good things about this hotel are that the room is big and the bed is comfortable. However, I wouldn’t stay here again for the following reasons: 1. The room we had was joined to another room and only separated by a door. This meant we could hear everything from the next room and were woken up multiple times. Staff moved us to another room the following day. But the new room had the same issue, it was joined to another room and separated by a door with the same issue. They had no other rooms available for the rest of our stay. I can only suspect that all their King rooms are the same. To make matters worse, this new room had lots of random mechanical type noises in the ceiling/walls so we couldn’t sleep. We had to use earplugs. 2. As other reviews have mentioned, this hotel is in need of a make over. Both rooms we had had paint peeling off the walls. Lamp shades ripped and damaged. Mould around the bathroom doors. In our second room the bathroom door handle was disconnected. 3. There is no fresh air getting to the room as there are no windows or doors that can be opened (sliding doors locked by staff for security reasons apparently.) Overall, we didn’t enjoy our stay and it ruined our time in Mérida due to lack of sleep and comfort. It seems that they have tried to make the lobby area look nice but the actual rooms aren’t comfortable.
Fantastic place to stay in Merida.
Nice and clean
Nothing. This placenos awful, unsafe, old, dated and the AC does not work, which created a dangerous, unsafe environment for someone who has a heart condition. This was a dangerous place.
The hotel’s lobby is stunning. I loved walking in to the view of the pool. The staff was very nice, helpful, and fluent in English. They are only a block away from Paseo de Montejo and maybe 2.5 blocks from the Monumento a La Patria. It was very easy to catch a taxi out front for going to the central area of the city. Walking is also an option from this hotel if you like the scenic route. I really enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely book with them again.

Best location. Near the best restaurants, nightlife, shopping and attractions. Great place to walk. Beautiful hotel and room. Fantastic service. Recommended by my son, who lives in Merida.
