Beautiful property. They need to have both heat and air conditioning options available to guests. They only had heat available when I was there, and the room was soooo hot I could not sleep. The breakfast was delicious. We were not provided a map of the property or area, it would have been nice to know where the walking trails were.

Overall a truly beautiful very quiet, relaxing place to stay. Be aware the place is very small only 15 rooms and few diners in the evening so can lack atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. Also no bar and no gym which was a little disappointing for us.

We loved how beautiful the property was. The view out of our room was inspired. And I loved the indoor pool and sauna.

Lovely 5 star property. Threw a dinner party for friends staying in Luz. Andre was an amazing host, waiter and recommended excellent activities and beaches for us duri g cotials and dinner. Private chef was terrific. Fantastic value for the money. Quiet u derstaed luxuary resort. Highly recommend.

Beautiful but lacking

The hotel itself is beautiful, fantastic views, gardens and room etc. However, it is lacking a lot in terms bar/restaurant facilities, there are no options for poolside drinks or snacks and we were encouraged to go out for dinner rather than dine at the hotel. We had booked this for a few nights because it was advertised as a spa hotel but when we asked about the treatments we were recommended to go to the nearby golf and spa resort instead.

Great hotel deserving of its five-star rating

Great hotel, we had a fantastic stay although some of the services were limited due to the pandemic, the hotel was fantastic with great connectivity and a great environment, very comfortable bedrooms and deserving of its five-star rating. Only negative- we found the bathroom a bit restrictive and not quite up to standard, specifically the shower and bath.

Very comfortable hotel. Well run, pristine and a level of service provided that is second to none. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place

This was an idyllic place to stay in the Algarve The rooms were the one of the best we had ever experienced Despite Covid it was as near to “normal” as we could wish for

All staff were outstanding, exceptionally helpful and offered great service.

A beautiful, sparkling clean secluded zen resort with views of the surrounding landscape. Its a beautiful, secure property with gardens to walk around, outdoor seating areas, indoor pool/sauna and spacious, well-appointed rooms. There is a parking lot but it is a walk from the hotel entrance, up a small hill. The breakfast was adequate with lots to choose from and the staff was helpful. I would highly recommend this resort!

Very clean, modern,spacious, double door opening onto beautiful garden and peaceful mountain view (room on the ground level) Good aircon Staff excellent. Definitely exclusive as only 12 or so rooms. Breakfast very good but should mention the hot option to new guests as the notice of this is very small.

Tranquility at its best.

This place is perfect for anyone that wants a real escape to peace and quiet. It was beautiful, quiet private and tranquil. The staff were all lovely, it was clean and very well kept. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We only ate one evening meal which although was nice was very small portions. We will definitely be back when we need to disconnect completely. Recommended room 15 for total privacy, well worth the upgrade cost.

Lovely large bedrooms with fantastic views. Delicious breakfast options . Quiet, private, peaceful location despite being short distance to Luz (not comfortably walkable though) lovely indoor pool with luxurious outdoor pool and outdoor ‘beds’ . Distinct lack of facilities in the room ... had to pay extra for milk to go in the tea they provided in the room (very bizarre) some staff lacked warmth and despite the hotel being beautifully designed it lacks atmosphere, whilst there is a honesty bar there the absence of an actual bar means there is no inclination to sit in the lobby for a drink. I'm sure the food would have been amazing as from breakfast clearly the chef is very talented but chose not to have dinner owingto lack of atmosphere

Excessivement cher pour ce qu'il en est...

Chambre n°6 "Supérieure" (notez les guillemets) jouxtant la cuisine, et donnant sur la salle de restaurant. Du bruit en permanence : casseroles, portes qui claques, cuisiniers qui crient... Malgré un hôtel désertique en cette fin de saison et cette période de COVID, on nous a dit que les autres chambres supérieures (bien plus chouettes selon les photos) étaient occupées. On a croisé un seul autre couple pendant tout le séjour... La literie est horrible (le matelas est creusé...) Le repas du soir inabordable si on désire y manger plusieurs fois : 50 € / personne (hors boisson), avec un choix très limité, du coup le restaurant est vide... On nous a dit que le chef visait l'étoile, commencez donc déjà par vous préoccuper de vos hôtes... L'hôtel ne possède pas de bar, juste un service de chambre. Les seuls points positifs du séjour : le petit déjeuner excellent et copieux, la gentillesse de la réceptionniste de nuit et du serveur du matin.

Wunderschöne sehr gepflegte Anlage. Zimmer lassen keine Wünsche offen. Dienstleistung stimmt nicht mit der Hardware überein.

Fantástico... PERO...

Todo fenomenal, el lugar es una gozada. La única pena fue que nos atendieron deficientemente al servir desayunos y comidas. Una de las camareras fue encantadora, la otra no, entiendo que la situación es complicada pero en un hotel de 5 estrellas, con esos precios, no puedes permitirle errores graves de cara al cliente. En general es un sitio fantástico que recomendaría sin duda, la pena es irte con regular sabor de boca por una actitud poco amable de la persona que nos atendió y sin desayunar por la larga espera. Los grandes sitios se forman cuidando pequeños detalles

Poor experience

We are very surprised this hotel was a five stars, considering the poor service and outdated design. - no answer at the gate, stuck in front of the door until a car left the hotel - parking very far from the reception and nobody to help with luggage - nobody at the reception in order to do the check-in; no answer when calling the number from the website; we had to walk around the hotel to find someone next to the kitchen - very cold staff; when asked for recommendations we were simply given a 200-page book to find beaches and hikes in the area by ourselves - unlike other hotels dealing with Covid-19, who replace buffet style breakfasts by asking you in advance what you would like to eat, they simply give you a plate of everything, which is a terrible waste of food. We were not told that we could order special items so someone came to tell us because he was surprised we ate nothing. Staff long to bring drinks or bread, making the overall breakfast experience not very pleasant - check out was the same struggle with no one at the reception Overall, despite a very beautiful park, the experience was terribly disappointing. For the price paid, the facilities are getting old (interior design, pool etc.) and the service is definitely not five stars. Would not recommend.

War wunderschön mit riesiger Terrasse und sehr freundlichen Leuten. Unbedingt mit dem Auto anreisen, es befindet sich ein wenig abseits. Dafür kein Massentourismus und schön ruhig. Immer wieder gerne

Klein hotel met faciliteiten van een groot hotel. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Kamer was heel netjes en ruim. Goede ligging van de accomodatie.

Top Hotel

Wir waren eine Woche im Vila Valverde Design und Country Hotel. Waren in Room Nr.9 untergebracht und mit unserem Zimmer zu 100% zufrieden. Kaffee-/Teekocher, Kühlschrank, ein geräumiges Bad mit Wanne und Bidet, ein großes bequemes Kingsizebett und eine leise laufende AC machten uns den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Von unserem Zimmer hatten wir Zugang zur großen möblierten Sonnenterrasse. Das inklusive Frühstück war aufgrund der geringen Zimmerzahl schon fast familiär. Man bedient sich am gut ausgestatteten Büfett. Außerdem kümmern sich mehrere Angestellte unauffällig und schnell um Sonderwünsche. Tagsüber waren wir immer an den Stränden der Umgebung. Die nachmittägliche Rückkehr war dann immer wie "nach Hause kommen". Können dieses Hotel zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Fantastiskt hotell

Vi stannade i 7 dagar och hade en fantastisk vistelse. Kocken lagade väldigt bra mat så det var skönt att ha det dom gånger vi inte gick ut. Hotellet var lungt och det fanns alltid en cabana ledig eller solstol vid poolen/ministranden. Att ligga och kolla ut över den stora trädgården och den omkringliggande naturen var verkligen magiskt. Rekommenderar verkligen hotellet!

Very beautifull hotel & Quiet surroundings

Very nice and beautifull hotel in quiet area. Hotel is perfect in relation to my job at the Portimao Algarve race circuit. Always great to return to the quiet surroundings and nice hotel after a long day working at the noisy race circuit.

Fantastisk hotell, stora bekväma rum. Lugnt läge, lite avskilt men det var avsikten med vår bokning. Stor tempererad inomhuspool. Kommer gärna tillbaka någon annan gång.

Bien situé à Lagos facile . Domaine impeccable

Cet hôtel devrait être un 5 étoiles. La chambre très spacieuse les installations de qualités et bien entretenus. Tout est très propres Les espaces publiques sont féerique et la déco de très bons goûts. Le personnel très gentils et dévoués. Il manque pas de choix pour les activités à l'hôtel et à Lagos.

Nydelig hotell

Vi hadde en ukes opphold på Vila Valverde. Det var helt fantastisk! Servicen er utrolig bra, alle som jobber på hotellet er utrolig hyggelige. Vi var midt på vintere så det var for kaldt å bruke utendørsbassenget, men de har et nydelig innendørsbasseng, og det var veldig fint å sitte på terrassen utenfor hotellrommet og slappe av. Leiebil er essensielt her, men det kan hotellet hjelpe deg med å booke. Hagen rundt hotellet er grunn nok til å besøke hotellet. Helt nydelig, med yrende fugleliv.

Schickes Boutiquehotel in Grünruhelage in einem ehemaligen Olivenhain. Toller Blick von der Terrasse auf dern Garten und die Berge. Sehr schön und modern ausgestattete Designer-Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites deutschsprachiges Personal an der Rezeption. Aussergewöhnlich leckeres und vielseitiges Frühstücksbuffet. Mietwagen empfohlen.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit herrlichem "Garten"

Sehr schöne, moderne Villa mit herrlichem Außenbereich inkl. kleinem Outdoor-Pool. Zusätzlich verschiedene Indoor-Angebote, wie Pool oder Sauna. Lediglich zwei Punkte würden wir den Gastgebern gerne als "Verbesserungsvorschlag" mitgeben: - der beim Frühstück standardmäßig servierte Kaffee kann nicht den Ansprüchen des Hauses genügen; die Kaffee-Maschine sollte definitiv ausgetauscht werden - die Seife im Bad war nicht wirklich ein Erlebnis. Als Shampoo und Lotion wird Molton Brown zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Seife wird - sowohl für Waschbecken als auch für die Dusche - aus abgefüllter Billig-Seife Die Vila ist aber definitiv weiterzuempfehlen!

Excellent séjour, mais il est indispensable d'avoir une voiture pour accéder à l'hotel.

Magnifique villa

Cette magnifique villa fraîchement restaurée à quelques minutes en voiture de Lagos est un havre de paix. L'endroit parfait pour un séjour romantique invite à la détente. La décoration soignée et contemporaine ainsi que les très grandes chambres font de cet établissement un vrai coup de cœur. Service impeccable, bon restaurant, piscine intérieur et extérieur,... tout est fait pour se sentir bien, comme à la maison.

Le Wifi passait péniblement dans la chambre.

Schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Das Hotel versprüht edles Ambiente, das Personal ist sehr zurückhaltend - man wird in Ruhe gelassen, was sich fast schon wie Desinteresse anfühlt. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, die zimmer riesig. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, es fehlt etwas an Abwechslung und das Kaffeeangebot passt nicht zum angestrebten Standard (Kapselkaffee).
