The location and the beach is fantastic. The hotel rooms will benefit from refurbishment. We had a great time overall. One advice, don’t book trips and experiences from the person that usually deals with that in the hotel. They are way too expensive.

From the moment of arrival we were warmly welcomed to the Victoria Beachcomber Hotel and Spa Resort. Our arrival was a few hours before the allotted check in but we were shown to a shower room to freshen up and given cool refreshments which was most welcomed. Introduction to the facilities was carried out succinctly with true professionalism. We were allowed to use the dining room for breakfast before checking in too. The staff have been professional friendly throughout. Entertainment varied from day to day. A great holiday location. Would highly recommend.

There's nothing to complain about

No hot water on the first day

Extra awareness of solo travellers.

Generally it was a very good experience. However it seemed that as a solo traveller I was sometimes overlooked I and my name was difficult to locate on various lists. I obviously had to wait until 1400 deadline for entry into my room but then I was further delayed -be it only slightly but once again some confusion. This isn’t ideal after a long flight and chaos through immigration.

Our stay was terrific, very relaxing atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. It would be great if their was more daytime activities for the adult only side and more entertainment options would put this resort over the top.

My favourite is the dining options. So many different varieties of meals you can eat at the one sitting for dinner and breakfast. Nothing I didn't like.

Beautifully designed luxury.

Wonderful resort for a quick family getaway. The food was excellent. The rooms were amazing. They all have beautiful views. Fun beach activities too.

Everything was close-by onsite. Most ocean activites were included; kayaks, snorkeling, glassbottom boat, etc. Buffet restaurant food was fine, but a bit repetitive. The seated restaurants were disspointing. Of the three, steak, fish and Italian, the latter was the best.

Nice resort with friendly staff

Nice hotel and lovely location. Enjoyed the spacious room with its lovely balcony. Great breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet good also. Employees were friendly and helpful.

Just a one night stay, wish we could have stayed longer. We loved all of it.

I liked almost everything specially the food and the staff. Didn’t like no water bottles on daily basis no iron & iron board in the room but at least it’s provided on request from housekeeping

Overall the stay was amazing as the facilities from the room, restaurants and beach activities were all very well serviced.

Nice Resort but Overpriced

We spent three nights at the Victoria. Rooms and the service are excellent. Location is very nice on a lovely beach and it never feels crowded. We were allowed late check out, which we greatly appreciate.The breakfast spread was very good but dinner in the Italian restaurant felt very mediocre.

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back. Staff were very nice and welcoming. Food at main restaurant was very good and many choices. We had a great time.

Oversized family resort

Large well worn resort full of kids, not for us, we thought it would be good for couples

It is a very friendly and peaceful place where you can both relax and enjoy many different activities.

Memorable honeymoon

Our stay here was exceptional. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach, the options of various cuisine and the evening entertainment was a lovely end to the day. The hotel is overall a great family vacation but can be a little busy and noisy. However we made the most of our honeymoon here and thank the staff for being so friendly and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the buffet style food and long walks along the beach. Oh... you may get to see the Mauritian bat/flying fox, this was definitely an unexpected sighting.

Hotel was 99% great - just one night out of 8 had a little issue that let reception know about but didnt get any response upon - didnt make much of a difference as the other restaurants more than made up for the one instance

Great hotel. Great value. Well fed and relaxing. Dive Centre attached to hotel was great. My only criticism, a minor one, is the WiFi in the rooms was poor

Recommend just a few small things let it down.

Great hotel for kids and adults, relaxing and the overall offering is great. Recommend the all inclusive as hassle free. Overall a fantastic hotel but a few things let it down which is unfortunate; namely small ants everywhere and all over in the rooms, they need to clear them, cleaners good but doesn't get rid of problem, it's horrible. Rooms dated but very large. Service is sometimes very slow and there seems to be confusion over serving people. Beach hut service great and there were 2 people that stood out for being good for the little one (16m old) and making her stay special, Yogen in the Italian restaurant and normal restaurant and Dhistry who is on the door for the restaurant.

Great value, beautiful rooms, gorgeous beach

The Victoria Beachcomber was a great find for us. Excellent value compared to many of the other high end hotels around. We stayed 2 nights DBB and have been staying elsewhere in the island The Good: Rooms were huge and immaculate Buffet in evening was fabulous. Lots of local options, incredible seafood, as well as simple favourites (pizza, fried chicken) for those who prefer. Beautiful stretch of beach with a shallow entrance into sea Corals not far out to explore for snorkelling (watch currents depending on season) Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, warm and doting on our 8month old Baby room next to reception for cleaning, sterilising and making bottles as well as providing bananas and a special baby menu inc purees to help those weaning Could be improved Some areas of the hotel perhaps a little tired (e.g. sunloungers) but very forgiveable within the price We would stay here again.

The Perfect Resort for a Family

This hotel is incredible for a young family. My wife and I spent 2 weeks there with our 2 kids (4 and 18 months). The staff were so helpful and Great with kids. They really help create an atmosphere where our children really enjoyed themselves and we relaxed because our kids where having a great time. A special thank you to Ursula and all the guys at the kids club The room size was perfect. Food was pretty good for an all-inclusive. If you are looking for a hotel in Mauritius that is perfect for a holiday with a young family then this is the place.

Nice hotel and location. Pleasant stay

Pros - nice hotel, good food, majority of staff are pleasant, rooms were kept in excellent condition, excellent cocktails Cons - large amount of flies in main restaurant. Ceiling fans would be recommended. We booked for a taxi on arrival being charged MUR 3500. On departure it was MUR 2100, with no valid reasoning for the extra cost on arrival. The concierge thought it was because we may have booked a return service, which wasn't the case. The receptionist argued that it was because we asked for a "transfer", potential insurance for baggage and the driver having to travel from hotel and back (despite having a desk and a number of drivers at the airport). No valid reasoning as the departure taxi was also a "transfer" except not explicitly stated, the driver would have to drop and return to hotel and there was no insurance on this journey (not that it was asked for or requested on arrival). Any future holiday makers should clarify all of this before booking with beachcomber, which would've made the stay an excellent visit.

Nice hotel, close to the beach and friendly staff

We had a great time at this hotel. We booked a shuttle from the airport with connections DMC. We arrived in comfort and were greeted with a friendly smile by the staff. We received a welcome cocktail and a were seated in the lounge. After about 5-10 minutes we were provided the key cards and were shown our room. We stayed in a ground floor deluxe accommodation , which was about 2 minutes walk to the beach. The beach was clean and very well maintained with plenty of sun loungers available even though the hotel appeared to be fully booked. We took the all inclusive option, most items are included, but a few in the dedicated Italian and Seafood restaurants have a surcharge. The food was lovely and plentiful as your tastebuds and hunger desires. A great time has by all.

A lovely hotel with great facilities and a great position on the beach front. All rooms have sea view. Free wifi throughout the resort.

Brilliant honeymoon

This is a fantastic hotel in a superb location. The quality of the hotel is breathtaking and the sights are stunning. Staff are helpful and our room was always cleaned to a very high standard. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Amazing place to stay

My husband and I went to Mauritius in our honey moon and stayed at the hotel. The staff was great, they were very helpful and kind, our room was very spacious, beautiful and clean, the view from our room was stunning facing the sea front and a garden. Since, we are vegan we thought there wouldn't be many options for food, but in the hotel they made sure to please us with any food we would come up with, the food in general was delicious and even the chef Dennis spoke to us to always give us exactly what we wanted ) We felt well taken care of and spoilt. There are free water sports which we loved doing every day, the water sports staff are really friendly, especially Allan! We had lots of fun doing water skiing, wake boarding, kayaking, paddle surfing, snorkelling, etc...and all of this was for free!! we couldn't believe it! At the hotel there is also a well-equipped gym, pilates, yoga classes twice a week, bike rental and lots to do at the hotel, if you can afford all inclusive I recommend it as there are a few restaurants at the hotel and you can find everything you could want and if it's not on the menu, they make whatever you ask for especially for you too... I cannot be more thankful with everyone at Le Victoria, we had the time of our lives there, besides as we arrived there was champagne and a present for both me and my husband because of our honeymoon. Thanks to everyone at the hotel, we had an incredible time thanks to all of you!

Amazing Hotel but room service......

Really nice hotel, everything was great, room was very spacious with his and hers sinks. Only annoying thing was I couldn't get any room service after 23:15. Had to drive 30 minutes to get a late night meal. But staff member on the desk was great giving us directions to the nearest town.

2 week at the Victoria

Enjoyed the hotel and friendly staff. Watersport was extremely convenient and near to the hotel and the staff very helpful and informative regarding the services offered and other pay for excursions.

Great place for your vocation!

In the beginning, I booked 3 night, after staying, I extend 2 nights more. There is no reason, just like it very much! There is another hotel beside of Le Victoria, same location, but big differen feel(whatever facilities or surrounding)

UK Review

Personnel are not trained to the level. I did not like the food selection offered for dinner (buffet) and breakfast as they were too limited in choices. Aqua-sports staff lack traning and skills. They employ all lay man who lack courtesy.

Destination wedding in Mauritius

We visited Mauritius for a destination wedding and le Victoria hotel was where we stayed and held the reception.

Paradise! "Because you worth it"

It was better than our expectation. Customer service in and out of the hotel, beach was incredible and I have been to a few 4 stars before and this hotel is the best so far. Everything was sparkling through cleanliness. My room was huge, very stylish and a big balcony. Even though it was advertised as garden view, I had a half garden and half ocean view, which I was amazed and surprised to get. We had only breakfast with a big selection of everything and they served a v nice cappuccino, not only filter one. :-) We ate only in the main restaurant-buffet- which was plentiful and super delicious, lots of seafood and other meats to choose from. This hotel perfect for couples, families and elder people too. I liked the selection of the water-sports they offered. Beach was breathtaking - of course and not crowded. I usually would not go back to the same hotel twice but I would definitely make an exception with this one. Loved it!!!

An excellent hotel

In all respects, this hotel met and often exceeded my expectations. It is a large hotel but has retained its friendly approach to guests. The food is excellent - varied, well presented and beautifully cooked. There is always room in the dining area both inside and by the pool and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There are two beaches, both of fine sand and with plenty of sunbeds and shelters. Even less though the hotel was busy there was never a problem getting a sunbed which were so spaced that the beach never felt crowded. The bedroom was spacious with an excellent bathroom - separate shower and bath-tub. The bed was very comfortable. This is an excellent hotel. I recommend it without and reservations.

Very comfortable stay, attractive property, warm and helpful staff members. The buffet could perhaps be a little better. But overall the experience was wonderful! Definitely recommend!

nice stay but lack of attention to detail

We celebrated our wedding in Mauritius and booked Le Victoria Hotel for our 'honeymoon' week. Hotel was very nice, facilities well up kept and all public areas and our room very comfortable and clean. There was no consistency in the service, room was service differently each day and amenities replaced/topped up depending on who the housekeeper was. Breakfast staff, in partucular the floor supervisor was very good - one of very few staff who went the extra mile and added personal touch to his service. We asked for a late check out as our flight did not leave until 10pm, but were refused. We were offered the use of hotel facilities for the day and the use of a 'transit room', which should have been reffered to as a bathroom to make things more clear - perhaps we would have organised our departure day differently. We were kept for 30 minutes at check out time, as the staff could not work out that they have overcharged us for breakfast - simple oversight which should not have taken any more than 5 minutes to fix. Staff should be very careful not to speak disrespectfully in their mother tongue infront of guests who can understand them. Overall we enjoyed our stay, purely due to the beautiful beach and hotel facilities - consistency in service and attention to detail would have made it perfect. As we selected the hotel for a special occasion and it was mentioned several times to different staff, it would have been nice to at least receive a congratulations note.

Le Victoria, Mauritius

The hotel was nice, but the entertainment was very loud and kept us awake until 11:30pm which was a bit frustrating. The staff were friendly and polite and all the facilities were clean. Lovely beach and having access to the watersports equipment was great. We only stayed for one night, but the food in the buffet and at the other restaurant we went to was a bit disappointing - some of the buffet food was only lukewarm. Overall it was a nice place to stay though.

Le Victoria le nice hotel

Nice hotel, very good food and great amenities, super courteous and friendly staff. If you want more of a hotel closer to shops and nearby restaurants etc then book closer to Grand Baie.

great resort for relaxation

Le Victoria wasa fantastic oasis. The staff very very attentive and friendly. Our room was always spotlessly cleaned and presented. The choice of three quite distinct restaurants was a bonus. Although we only chose the half board rate (due to business-related functions of an evening) the full board option looked to be spectacular value. A range of free watersports was added value and the sighting of a whale whilst lounging on the beach 'made' my wife's week!

Tourist machine

Overall a great hotel - if you like a tourist machine with lots of families on all inclusive. If you like a more authentic vacation in Mauritius, stay away. The staff is generally nice but not with a genuine feel. The sunsets are amazing but the vibe is disappointing. This resort could be in Mallorca or Mexico and you would not be able to tell the difference. The kids loved the kids club, great staff working there, us adults were wishing we had booked a smaller, boutique hotel. Also, consider to take a taxi to Trou aux Biches for a local food experience.

Bel établissement, personnel charmant. Les possibilités de restauration sont parfaites, plage et piscine topissimes. Seul bémol les chambres sentent l'humilité bien que tout soit parfaitement propre. La climatisation coule. Jy reviendrai.

First of All I want to say All the staff at the hotel was amazing! Each and every single person we met Here was so Nice and helpful and absolutely amazing. The hotel was really beautiful and located right at the sea and beautiful white Beach. The island is so beautiful and there’s a lot of fun activities to do in and out of the hotel. The beds were really comfortable and the room gets cleaned twice a day. We had a great experience! Would definitly recommend and Will be back Love; Anna Rosa, Stan, Bens and little Joe

Wunderbare Umgebung, sehr freundliche und nicht aufdringliche Verkäufer am Strand. Umfangreiche Wasseraktivitäten enthalten (Tretboot, SUP, Segelboot, Kayak), Schnorchelfahrten mehrfach pro Tag auf die Außenseite des Riffs. Einziger Nachteil: bei Halbpension keinerlei Getränke enthalten (nur 2 Courtesy Fläschchen im Zimmer für 1 Woche)

Sehr schöne Anlage. Zimmer und Möbel sehr groß, schön, aber ein bisschen „älter“. Essen sehr gut, wundervollen Strand, immer Liegen frei. Alles sehr nah und schön angelegt.

Camera ampie e pulite, bagno sia con doccia che vasca. Possibilità di mangiare in 3 ristoranti, qualità varia e buona. Spiaggia comodissima, ombrelloni e lettini in abbondanza. Già comprese nel prezzo varie attività "marine" tra cui noleggio canoe e pedalò servizio snorkeling (per arrivare alla barriera occorre la barca, si vedono molti pesci). Consiglio l'escursione per fare il bagno con i delfini, esperienza unica, si può prenotare sulla spiaggia.

Les coins des chambres ne sont pas propres

Hôtel au top : site merveilleux (longue plage avec de très beaux fonds à explorer), de nombreux services (spa, salles de sport, plusieurs restaurants et bars), une cuisine variée et soignée avec le plaisir de pouvoir goûter à des saveurs locales, des chambres ultra spacieuses et confortables, un personnel aux petits soins à tous les niveaux, gage d'un total bien-être ! une excellente adresse pour un séjour en famille merveilleux !

Un cadre enchanteur

Un très bel hôtel dans un jardin luxuriant. Le personnel est aux petits soins, les services sont de bonnes qualités.Le buffet est excellent. Attention toutefois en demi pension, les boissons ou repas sont chèrs par rapport aux tarifs des restaurants à l extérieur ( un peu éloignés, il faut une voiture) . La plage est très belle, des activités nautiques sont comprises. Seul bemol la chambre au rez de chaussée sentait le renfermé et était humide mais je pense que c est en lien avec le peu d occupation pendant un temps.

Guter Strand

Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in dem Hotel, für uns war das Hotel jedoch zu groß, viel zu viele Menschen. Jedoch verteilt es sich gut auf der Anlage. Die Zimmer sind gut und geräumig, aber leicht in die Jahre gekommen. Renoviert wird überall ein bisschen und vor allem neben unserem Zimmer. Nachdem wir an der Rezeption das Bohren und Hämmern als nicht entspannend anmerkten, wurde lediglich „Sorry“ gesagt und dass sie am selben Tag mit dem Zimmer fertig wären. Bei einem 4* Hotel hätten wir mehr erwartet. Das Essen in dem Hauptrestaurant ist gut und auch in den separaten Restaurants, aber nicht überragend. Am Strand hat man die Möglichkeiten verschiedene Wassersportarten zu betreiben. Der Strand ist schön und man kann gut Schnorcheln. Ansonsten ist das Hotel etwas abgelegen und man ist auf ein Taxi/ Auto angewiesen.

Établissement agréable, meubles chambre un peu vieillots. Magnifique vue mer depuis le balcon. Nous avons constaté la présence de cafards dans l’établissement. Nous étions en demi pension, (petit déjeuner et repas du soir), dommage que les boissons ne sont pas comprises lors du repas du soir.

Gibt nichts auszusetzen, ein perfekter all-inclusive, strandurlaub. ;)

Wir würden wohl nicht nochmals hier hin gehen.

Wir hatten zwei Nächte ein sehr lautes Zimmer (132) die Mitarbeiter hatten bereits um 6 Uhr morgens grosse Diskussionen ohne Rücksicht, das zweite Zimmer war dan bedeutend besser auch war der Service auf der andern Seite des Hotels um einiges besser. Das abendliche Büffet war sehr einseitig und keine grossen Veränderungen, das Morris Beef a la carte Restaurant war bereits bei unserer Ankunft für die nächsten 6 Nächste ausgebucht, obwohl das Hotel nicht voll ausgebucht war.

Da migliorare in alcuni dettagli per essere al top

Soggiorno iniziato malissimo, con scarafaggi e geko nella camera, dopo alcune lamentele ci hanno cambiato la camera dandoci una Junior suite al posto della delux che avevamo prenotato (la delux era più bella stranamente) in generale in paese tropicale sono cose che possono capitare, anche se è meglio se non capitassero! Il resort comunque è molto bello il cibo è buono abbondante ma non molto vario! Il personale è molto gentile... Pecca un po' di pulizia!

Vétuste, installation précaire et usée. Besoin d’une rénovation

Dejligt ophold. Vi gjorde stor brug af aktiviteterne på stranden (vandcykler, kajakker, båd med glasbund, sup). Masser af liggestole på stranden og mulighed for at booke snorkeltur (fisk og skildpadder).

Tout etait parfait. Menage fait tous les matins. Bravo

Great hotel! The service is very, very good, never seen anything like it, especially not in all inclusive resorts. They serve you everywhere, no need to get your drinks yourself, except on the beach. We had a very warm welcome, all the staff are great and wiling to do anything to give you a pleasant stay. The buffet at Le Superbe was great, different each day. I would like to recommend you to also book a few evenings for La Casa, the Italian restaurant. A little getaway when you feel tired from the buffet. Rooms are a little outdated, but very clean. At least 4 roomboys come by every day to clean, switch towels, etc. We had a blast and will definately book again if we ever go back go Mauritius! Just one small tip: the weather in June is not the best, locals told us to book for November-December.

es hat uns sehr gefallen. alles war top: essen, zimmer riesig, strand, personal. verbesserungsvorschläge: transfer flughafen hotel in angebote integrieren oder klar als nicht-bestandteil definieren. reiseveranstalter-info für ausflüge im hotel hat gefehlt. bei nachfrage, haben wir einen tollen ausflug spontan machen können.

Krásné romantické místo s pěknou zahradou a velmi příjemnými lidmi. V hotelu pracuje až na pár výjimek pouze pánský personál. Na pláži při vstupu do vody mají mnoho mořských ježků. Není vyřešen přechod z pískové pláže do bazénu - chybí oplachová tůňka na nohy od písku. V restauraci, která je otevřená do prostoru se zdržuje mnoho velmi otravných much, které nejsou nijak lapány a po pláži chodí řada podomních hadrářů, kteří Vám pořad něco vnucují.

Large and busy hotel.

This is a hotel for those who enjoy large and busy hotels with lots of people. Nice rooms, although ours smelled from damp and cleaning was below expectations. Some of the staff did not seem very happy and the level of service was a disappointment overall. Good variety of food in the main restaurant, although quite noisy and not a very relaxing atmosphere. Can highly recommend the Italian and fish restaurants on the beach instead, staff and food were excellent here. Good location as both Port Loius and Grand Baie are a short taxi ride away.

Nous avons trouve le mobilier en général très peu confortable Les matelas de la plage vieillotte voir usés . Nous avons connu l'hôtel il y a une quinzaine d'année plus luxueux et plus confortable Par contre personnel toujours aussi gentil Chambre et literie très confortable

Fantastiskt hotell för bröllop

Vi valde detta hotell för att vi skulle gifta oss på Mauritius och hade hört att de var duktiga på bröllop. Vi anlitade en wedding planner och hon var fantastisk. Hjälpte oss med precis allting inför bröllopet. Vi bokade The glamour packade och det var vi mycket nöjda med. Mycket trevligt hotell med fantastisk service. En stor resort med alla förväntade bekvämligheter. Personalen var otroligt trevliga och service minded. Det fanns en stor restaurang inne på hotellet och därutöver tre andra restauranger som hörde till hotellet. Det var gott om plats på stranden och gott om solstolar. Utomhusaktiviteterna var vattengympa, yoga, beach volleyboll, tennis, mm. Alla vattenaktiviteter (segling, cykelbåt, SUP, mm) var gratis. Inomhus fanns gym, pingis och SPA. Tyvärr så visste vi inte om att det fanns en Vuxen-del. Hade vi vetat om det innan så hade vi bokat där.

Personnels aux top les mauriciens sont adorables ., prévenant , bienveillant , patient .. sinon L’hotel Serait parfait si la cuisine était meilleurs, vraiment moyen , les chambres demanderaient un coup de jeune .
