Cheap and cheerful/nasty (depending on your mood)

Old block of flats now used for short stay accommodation (probably because the previous owner didn’t want to spend money bringing them up to healthy homes standards). The office is located offsite at another motel. Cheap and served the purpose of somewhere to sleep, but not much more than that

The room needs a lot of maintenance and updating. Bed is so uncomfortable.

Property is run down, carpet is dirty, kitchen cupboards are just hanging on. But you get what you pay for.

Do not stay here. Check in is off site at another hotel. The check in person was so rude. The hotel itself had wires hanging out the front, not enough cutlery, no dryer (as said full laundry), no washing detergent, weird shower that was half a meter off the ground, no couch to sit on. Cleaning staff tried to rush us out before checkout. Keep looking for something else!

Great value. Nice and clean. Basic but we knew that it would be for the price. Was better than we expected.

We thought the unit could do with a serious makeover. Some of the paintwork is very worn. The shower enclosure step is quite high and dangerous for those whose mobility is compromised. A new shower would make a big difference.

Shower is a high step up to get into it, cold tap is actually the hot tap very dangerous. Rooms were cold even with the heat pump on all night, concrete walls by bed had to use pillows behind back when leaning on it. Queen size bed was hard, had to use single beds

The property is very old and rundown. Carpets were very old worn and dirty it was cold and inviting

Had to call noise control on the neighbouring properties several times. Also couldn’t get tv to work, rung reception to get someone who didn’t know what tv the property actually had. Parking was terrible also.

Checking in at the property was inconvenient, given that it was located at a separate property not overly close (driving distance) to where I had booked. The unit itself had a fine kitchen and facilities for that, and the sheets were clean but not really comfortable. No additional blankets were provided. The carpeting was terribly dirty (turned my socks dark grey), and the bathroom was awful - dirty floors and walls, and the shower has black mould all along the top. The door also didn't seem overly safe, with no option to use a deadbolt at night.

Check in was inconvenient going to another property, the shower was mouldy it was a cold room even with heater there were no extra blankets or pillows. Was super noisy with some sort of banging in pipes or something that kept us up all night. Will not return to this property.

Would not stay again, had rennovations going in one of the units and it started extremely early we were there on holiday rooms were not serviced appropriately

It suited our purpose

It's a dumb idea having to check in at another venue and as we were 3 elderly ladies I asked for a ground floor unit but we were put upstairs in a unit where the shower was about 12 inches off the floor as a consequence only one of us had a shower. Also the young gentleman on reception had a broad accent and I found it very difficult to understand him.

Unique, no dryer

Clean and comfortable apartment. Kitchen facilities were good. Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional. Washing machine was great, just no where to dry things. Short walk to supermarket and other shops

Overall we enjoyed our short stay. It was an old place and could have done with a bit of maintenance- toilet door didn’t slide, walls were quite dinged and marked etc. However given the price we paid we weren’t expecting anything Flash.

It was a good location easy to get to and great communication. Just dated and dirty really. Beds, linen towels general cleaning was good additional cleaning like the walls, carpet etc not so nice.

Excellent WiFi. Kitchen & toilet floor is too sticky. Very high step getting in/out for the shower, need to be careful. Overall hardwares are old, for short stay is fine.

Tired.

Great location. Shower is raised and could use a step to safely get in and out. Other than that, room was tidy, spacious and comfortable.

It looks like it backs on to property where people are housed by Kainga Ora

Ive stayed here on 4 separate occasions now and it's been great, however had my stay ruined by a couple of extremely noisy tenants till the wee hours of the morning so am hesitant about returning.

Good location and parking. It’s good value for a larger family. Basic and functional

It is an old property and to cover the pervasive smells it was heavily sprayed and I couldnt stay the heavy chemical spray brought on my asthma. An absolute shocker.. I want a refund.

Best place out of all the places I went also affordable…

So not too bad for being cheap in Hamilton, but you cannot stay there with your kids. The door does not lock from the inside. Kids opened the door and slipped outside, 4 year old, was trapped outside screaming for us. Luckily we heard her. That is not good for kids. We decided to pack our things and go back home for we could not take that chance in the middle of the night.

The property was clean, plenty of parking, but y the appartment was old and tired, curtains not complete and the tv was only Netflix. Could do with a paint job and new furnishings. Good for the price.

Property was clean, beds were great. Felt the floor of toilet could do with some scrubbing. Everything else was good.

We liked the clean sheets but the unit is feeling very tired and rundown. Does need a facelift.

Unfortunately I did not research enough I’m disabled and it was upstairs and I was unable to use the shower also I did not read finer print regarding key not ideal when you’ve travelled from up North Teceptionist great whe we found her so experience not yr fault

Property needs a re vamp. Very old and dated. Box shower with a curtain and you needed to step up in order to get into the shower.

The unit was a lot bigger that I though The shower was a bit tired Enjoyed our brief stay

Good value for locality. Beds not the most comfortable that we've slept on. Clean and tidy.

Very basic. The unit very tired. We could not work the tv. Suggest some written instructions.

The property was very clean, location is very good. Just had a problem with parking. Driveway is quite narrow and there is plenty of space in the back of the building. Cars shouldn’t be allowed to park in the driveway.

Unit was nice and clean but definitely needs some maintance repairs.

Property was as expected which was fine for nights stay. Without having manager/reception on site? it was the drunken people upstairs (who appeared to have been locked out maybe) banging, arguing, very loud abusive language. Thought our car parked in front of our apartment was going to get damaged. Felt very unsafe with kids and kept awake from 3am with them coming and going.

Close to the central city with all amenities within 20 minutes, of walking distance.

Low shower pressure and dirty carpet

The carpet floor beside the single beds had stain of food left by previous tenants. The shower's water pressure was unacceptable, the water pressure was like an adult's urinating.

Clean kitchen and comfy beds. Plenty of space. Broken toilet door, dirt behind fridge. Shower needs replacing
