Beautiful view. Very comfortable apartment with a full kitchen and clothes washer and dryer. We really enjoyed our stay.

Standard room is awful, poor quality. Bathroom is dirty and has a lot of mould around the shower. Coffee cup marks on table. Would not recommend

Istanbul will cheat you but not this hotel

Borack was very accommodating and helpful. Speaks English well and helped us when our bags were lost for over 50 hours. When a taxi cab driver took all of our money just to go from the Blue Mosque to the hotel, he gave us 100 lira to get to the boatdock for our cruise. Very good people for Istanbul. Sad to say but most of them are out for the money - Muslim or not. Very bad example of their faith.

Excellence

Really amazing, staff were very accommodating and made us feel really welcome. Flight was delayed by an hour and they were happy to keep reception open for us to check in after their closing time. Communication was excellent, we were mostly keeping in touch with staff using WhatsApp. Genuinely helpful and very friendly. Location is very good, the stairs up from the metro are a bit of a workout but they get easier. Highly recommend the rooftop terrace, we went after dark and it was incredible.. would have liked to watch sunset there but we were too busy

This place had nowhere to even open up my luggage. The shower room was so small that you cant even raise your arms. You will wake up smelling cigarettes in the morning.

Good location and stunning view, but read review!

The apartment and the view on the whole was spectacular! It is deeply unfortunate that many small details were broken, in need of repair, or didn’t work at all. The hand rail in the shower is broken, but the cleaner diligently placed it back every day despite me removing it. The shower door doesn’t close properly, the wooden base planks are loose and slide all over, the Wi-Fi is terrible, and during the evenings barely has any bandwidth at all, the TV turns on, and says welcome, but the cable isn’t working. Both remotes are broken and need jiggling to work, the balcony chairs and table are at the point of rotting and need to be revarnished, the balcony rail has already rotted and is missing pieces. The sliding door sticks, and the insect screen needs replacing. The fridge is there and working, but not properly attached so everything you open the door it falls over. I was given one small bar of soap on the bathroom at the start of my stay, despite breaking into bits, it was never replaced. The towels are worn and need replacing. The pillows are terrible and need replacing. The bed is a futon style mattress, and is not the most comfortable. It is also not a double, but two singles pushed together. All in all, this place has a good view, and an ultra friendly staff, but it simply does not justify the cost! It’s clear the owners just don’t care anymore, and it shows!

Pros: Balcony has great views, friendly helpful staff, washer dryer dishwasher, clean bedding, daily housekeeping, Air conditioning. Cons: Hard to walk to since it is located on a very steep 1km uphill. Furniture is outdated. Water supply went off for a couple of hours. Matches 3 star hotels by U.S. standards.

We stayed 4 nights at Urban Suites and we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable stay! The room had everything we needed and the bed/couch were very comfortable. Very clean. The only thing I would have changed was the fact that the listing said that “breakfast available” but what they meant was that you can buy breakfast, it’s not included. Other than that, amazing!

A nice comfortable experience. Pleasantly surprised by all the home comforts available. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would certainly book again.

I liked the area but the room was very small with no windows to the street which I found was claustrophobic. In addition, there was a constant noise from the property equipment which was not pleasant.

I was humiliated and discriminate st this property for no reason. My friend didn’t do anything wrong, when the staff told him, “you are not welcome to this property”. This is totally unacceptable! When I asked why he is not welcome since he is the other guest, the answer was “he looks too ugly to stay in the hotel” a room that I booked for 2 people. I was in shock. We had to leave the property that morning. Horrible customer service. They speak little English and they don’t even try to communicate with you.

Fantastic hotel-urban suites Istanbul

The hotel was really good and convenient. The staff were great and friendly and they also allowed us to leave our baggage there for few nights as we was also travelling to coppadacia for 2 nights. Nice view from the roof top. 5-10 minutes walk to taksim square and metro. Local bars and restaurants near by. Its perfect location. Ideal hotel for a short break.

Fantastic place

Excellent place. Perfectly located in Taksim, near to metro, Havabus station and local food places and local attractions. Hotel allowed us to leave our bags for few nights while we travelled to Cappadocia and returned for our final stay there.

Great location in Cihangir and a great view from the balcony. There is also a roof terrace that i used several times with amazing view. And overtime no other people used it.

We slept in the budget suite for 3 nights. The room was too small for two people with luggage and had almost zero storage for clothes. It also had almost no windows so there was very little air or light. The overall experience was quite uncomfortable. The rest of the suits seem genuinely nice and the neighborhood is beautiful.

Great base from which to explore

I resided at the Urban Suites for six nights in late July / early August 2018. Unit 6 on floor 4. It was blisteringly hot the entire time as all of Europe was in the grip of an extreme heatwave. There is a little shop diagonally across the road from the hotel entrance that sells ice cream, bottled water and sufficiently cold beer. This turned out to be rather important as I did not come across many off-license places in my time in Istanbul, albeit I was only there for a very short time. It became a ritual, getting back to the Suites in the early evening after a day out and about (the hotel is very well located), red as a tomato and literally dripping in sweat, heaving from the strain of having climbed hundreds of steep steps and/or from standing and walking for hours on end, to stop at this shop and pick up a few beers before heading up to the room to recover and refresh. A cold shower, clean kit, then onto the balcony with its gentle breeze and view of the Bosphorous. Once sufficiently revitalised I would head out for supper. There are many nice restaurants about, all sorts and sizes, but a standout for me was the Doyum Manti. Tiny, rustic and absolutely unpretentious. 15 TKL for a bowl of authentic greatness. They served three types of manti and I had them all. A short walk thereafter and you are back at the Suites, into the comfortable clean bed and off to deep sleep. Only gripe is the 'dog park' across the road... lots of barking between 5 and 10pm, but not unbearable.

Misleading pictures for the hotel with no windows in the bedroom and the bathroom was inside the bedroom and I couldn't stay and left the following day

Fantastic service, if a little hard to find

Nice rooms, absolutely fantastic service. But a little hard to find as it is hidden away in an historic neighborhood.

Old town character

Good location to sights, restaurants and bars. Easy getting there from the airport as long as you use their pick-up service. I imagine the average taxi driver wouldn't get you there so easily, Istanbul is such a labyrinth! Staff were all very friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. We were three business travellers, but good for a couple too and even a family in the larger rooms.

Great, quaint spot

I only have nice things to say about this place and the staff. The hotel is more of a converted apartment building than traditional hotel. Therefore it feels more like a boutique hotel and your own private flat with maid service. It is about a 5-10 minutes walk from Taksim Square. Istanbul is a very hilly city so be prepared to walk hills and stairs. I stayed in the superior room which was as pictured and well maintained. All the typical efficiently installed, smaller style appliances you come to expect from a European style flat. The neighborhood is cute and quiet and the building and apartment is well maintained. The water pressure in the bathroom is amazing and the beds are comfortable. There is a nice rooftop. The staff was courteous, accommodating, and helpful with locating good places to eat, making reservations, and airport transfer. The my credit card was charged after the booking was made which I found odd but in the end it really didn't matter.

Wonderful in every way

We had a wonderful stay at the Urban Suites - couldn't fault it. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room itself was really well appointed and beautifully furnished. All of the details had been really thought through. A real highlight was the roof terrace which had a stunning view. The area that it is in is really interesting and there are some great neighbourhood restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

Nice hotel and not far from Taksim

Room is small but clean. The location is good and not very far from Taksim square and you do not need to walk a lot so that you can find lots of restaurant.

Such a fantastic place to stay in Istanbul

We're just coming back from our trip in Turkey and except for the gulet cruise we did, our stay at the Urban Suites was the best place we stayed throughout our trip. Sure, the room was rather small but it was beautiful, greatly decorated, and add a very inviting bathroom and comfortable bed. Close to Taskim square, its location on a side street makes it a great choice as it gives you an easy access to wherever you want to go while giving you a bit of tranquility to sleep like a baby. The service was impeccable. We're already recommanding to our friends and family.

Great spot

We came in and were immediately greeted by one of the staff. The room was beautifully decorated with amenities, comfortable beds and quaint but very small terrace. The rooftop had a great setup with a very scenic view of the Istanbul skyline. There was a hotel staff available 24/7 and even coming in late they were very friendly and it did not seem like they were being bothered. The hotel has a minimalist and modern mentality which I always appreciate more than a big hotel. I really don't need concierge service to tell me where to go. Also, the little coffee machine made fantastic coffee. Washing machine in the unit came in really handy as well.

Perfect place to stay in Istanbul

The suites are gorgeous and immaculate. The location is perfect as Cihangir is a wonderful neighborhood in Istanbul. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Could not recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Istanbul!

Urban suite istanbul est un logement avec vue sur mer, agréable, non loin de la place Taksim. Mais côté hygiène le joint du carrelage autour de la baignoire est absolument à changer et il y a des soucis d'humidité sur le plafond de la piece à vivre et sur le mur. À part ces 3 points, l'appartement est superbe, bien placé et les hôtes sont agréables.

Otelin ön kısmına bakan, giriş katta 18 metrekarelik standart odad konakladık. Oda küçük lakin beklentiniz de ona göre olmalı. Güvenli bir mekan, herhangi bir problem yaşamadık. Sokağın gürültüsünü hissediyorsunuz özellikle geceleri. Pencerelerin ve hatta kapının yenilenmesi gerekiyor. Oda temizliği fena değil. Konum olarak tepede, yürüyerek ulaşım sağlamaya çalışanlara önermem çünkü çok dik yokuşlar çıkmak zorunda kalırsınız. Sokakta ücretsiz araç park yeri biraz sıkıntılı çünkü Cihangir sokakları dar. Otelin karşısında ücretli kapalı otopark bulunuyor. Fakat çok büyük problem yaşamadık. Görevliler ilgili.

Das Zimmer war recht klein. Das Bett war gut und bequem und sauber. Das Badezimmer war ausreichend. Leider waren sämtliche Silikon Fugen mit Schimmel behaftet. Die Straße war sehr belebt und laut. Das Hotel hat mich eher an einem Mietshaus erinnert.

El lugar es agradable. Es una casa la cual gira al rededor de una escalera de caracol. El cuarto que tomamos estaba en la planta baja. Los administradores muy agradables aunque se les dificulta el inglés... pero ha sido una experiencia muy buena.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas oberhalb der Stadt. Die Zimmer inkl. Einrichtung sehr abgenutzt, dafür geräumig und preiswert. In 10 min ist man fußläufig am Bosporus. Frühstücksmöglichkeiten in er Nähe. Achtung, auf den Bildern ist ein Rooftop gezeigt. Das gibt es nicht bei dieser Unterkunft. Der Verwalter ist sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr zugesagt. Es ist fußläufig zum Taksim und zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, das Personal immer hilfsbereit. Einziger Kritikpunkt: wir hatten das Zimmer aus der günstigsten Preisklasse und es war wirklich sehr sehr klein. Für einen Städtetrip war es ausreichend, aber die Koffer mussten wir auf dem Bett öffnen. Zudem gab es kein Sonnenlicht in dem Zimmer.

Kind service, but no rooftop

Service was great and staff was lovely. However, the place advertises a rooftop balcony with a nice view, and this was completely closed off. This is a great shame, since that appealed a lot to us - therefore, the pictures aren’t quite accurate.

Сами апартаменты вполне удобны, возможно нужен мелкий ремонт. Но большой минус это спортивная площадка под окнами и площадка для выгула собак. Лай и крики спортсменов даже в 5 утра)) Но сам район хорош, почти Европа, много кафешек, есть продуктовые магазины, но при этом сам район довольно тихий. Надо еще учитывать, что апартаменты на самом верху холма. Если не любите ходить много пешком, то тогда такси или другой район
