Very nice people, they really helped us with everything

Very easy

Excellent location, very varied and ample breakfast, except for one woman at the front desk who had a grudge against visitors, the staff were wonderful. However the room was poorly designed and felt like a dungeon. Chose separate bedroom so one of us could watch TV while the other slept. Surprise - TV was on a bedroom wall (could only be watched from the bed) and there was no door. The bathroom was cramped and had a glass wall adjoining the living room so it was uncomfortable either putting on a peep show or watching it. Lighting was insufficient, chairs very uncomfortable. Windows looked out at other windows a meter away so curtains had to be closed. The air conditioning went on and off as well as making the room either too hot or much too cold. I hope other rooms are better,

Great breakfast available because many restaurants not open that early. Close to shopping and short walk to cruise port.

Loved our stay!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful views from the 4th floor patio and restaurant. Excellent food. Clean comfortable room. Quick taxi ride to downtown (about 15 euros to get to acropolis).

Parking for the property was a bit of a walk.

Lovely hotel in a very convenient location. Right near pier and grand plaza. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Room was very comfortable although bathroom is separated by an etched glass wall which some might find disconcerting. The staff are amazing. They are very friendly and so helpful. They made a great effort to help me find a sweater left behind on the airplane. They also made us breakfast one morning when we misunderstood when the breakfast time closed. Staff were the icing on the cake.

I liked that the hotel arranged our transportation from and to the airport. Worked well.

Location was excellent. Close to cruise ship. Great area to walk and find dining options. Staff were friendly and helpful. The elevator was small but the staff helped with luggage. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. If you’re traveling from outside Europe don’t forget your plug adapters. USB ports were not in the room.

very convenient stay in the center of Trieste. Definitely a good choice if you want to explore Trieste.

There is the regatta in town every october and they have festivities all day and evening with music blasting in every corner. I was not informed about ! The windows are not soundproof , which means I paid a lot of money for not being able to get sleep! Otherwise ldeal location to visit Trieste. The staff is very friendly.

The stairs are inconvenient.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a room in the annex and it was very comfortable. Good lighting in the bathroom. The bathroom is partitioned off from the bedroom with frosted glass so even though there is a door it’s shy of totally private. Would stay here again.

The hotel is located in a residential area with limited on-site parking. A modern design but boutique hotel. The receptionist sounds a bit blunt with no smile, but is still helpful.

Great location, very close to everything. The staff are incredible, very helpful no matter what your needs. We arrived at 5am and while waiting for our room to be ready we were given a pastry, a coffee and also a bottle of water. The staff are incredible. Namely Andrea’. The room itself was very small, felt more like a shoe box compared to other places we’ve stayed. Other than that, a nice place to stay

Staff gentilissimo

Staff gentile. Ambiente accogliente. Ubicato in pienissimo centro. Sono tutti molto disponibili e la permanenza è stata piacevole, quasi come stare a casa. Piccole carinerie, che ovviamente in altre strutture sarebbero a pagamento, il caffè offertomi al mio prestissimo check in, poi l'acqua consumata dal minibar il primo giorno, ecco, sono piccole cose che vengono apprezzate. Hanno tenuto per me un formaggio nel loro frigo anche dopo che avevo fatto il check out e mi hanno dato del ghiaccio in modo che stesse fresco durante il viaggio. Consiglio vivamente per qualsiasi tipo di viaggio a Trieste.

Great hotel for the cruise port and exploring Trieste

Wonderful property in a central location.

Very nice and modern

The hotel is located a few steps from the center. A very warm welcome. Parking for 30 minutes in front of the hotel. Parking in garages is very close to the hotel.

I liked the Urban Hotel. It’s not plush, but clean and comfortable, perfect location, very uniquely designed over a Roman ruin. the staff is AMAZINGLY helpful in every way.

The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and large well designed bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They held our luggage after checking out while we shopped and ate. Very close to port for cruisers.

Urban Hotel Design

Nice hotel in central Trieste, close to the main square and to many bars and restaurants. Cruise terminal is close by and the main station about 15 minutes walk. My single room was a reasonable size with private bathroom. A buffet breakfast with hot and cold items was included. Staff are friendly and helpful and I would stay here again.

This is a great hotel in a very fun part of trieste. The room was like a little apartment in a quiet alley. Would definitely stay here again if in triest.

We arrived in Trieste after a 3-day airline delay which included loss of luggage. My husband was sick and the staff was so helpful. Valentina and Filipino were especially warm and efficient. The room was clean, the a/c was excellent, the location was perfect with so many options for shopping, wonderful food and gelato! I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would choose it again should we ever end up in charming Trieste.

Great stay. Location was central and hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was fantastic with great options. Would definitely return. Parked rental car underground at city lot about 200m away. Easy to get to with luggage’s.

Great staff, great location and very clean & modern

We loved our stay here!! The people were very friendly and courteous. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Many choices for breakfast of fresh meats, breads, vegetables, yogurt, cereals, beverages, coffees, etc.. Highly recommend staying here!! Very close to the port for cruises, restaurants, shopping and the square. Obviously, we loved our stay and highly recommend To anyone coming to Trieste, Italy!!

Close to the cruise terminal.

The hotel is situated very close to the square and the cruise dockage. There are many dining and shopping options in the area. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and well-appointed. I wish we would have been able to spend more than one night there.

Great location surrounding the restaurant. One thing needs to improve is if the bunk bed is more solid. It looks not secured and safe.

Nice, clean, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good shower, convenient location. Only issue is noisy at nice due to restaurants downstairs.

The receptionist (Juliana?) was absolutely fantastic. So welcoming and friendly, with excellent dining suggestions according to our dietary requirements. A credit to the company.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, They very kindly upgraded us to their suite since we only stayed for one night. The breakfast was delicious and diverse. Top of the line experience overall.

This really is a great hotel in a great location just off the main square, everything is walkable including the cruise terminal where most of the ships dock and sail from so it's ideal as a pre or post-cruise stayover.

Excellent customer service. Phillipo and Simone are great hosts, above and beyond. The location is perfect and the breakfast very good. Stay here, you won’t regret.

This boutique hotel was wonderful. Friendly & helpful staff. Arranged transfer from airport for us during taxi strike, gave us information about sites to see & directions - very helpful in all ways. Location was wonderful- right off main square & close to waterfront. Rooms were modern, clean & comfortable.

Great communication and customer service

I had a delightful overnight stay at the Urban Design Hotel. Despite the fast communication regarding directions from the train station, I did get a bit lost in Trieste so I would recommend taking a taxi from Trieste Central. Hotel was clean and in a safe area. Concierge was super helpful. Highly recommend.

Great pricing and great room. Staff was exceptional. Outside was a little dated but i'm not sleeping outside. Rooms was fantastic and i look forward to staying here again given the chance. I do wish that i had tried the breakfast. Hopefully next time!!

Very nice overall besides parking

The hotel itself is modern and clean, but the parking situation really sucked, which is insane throughout Italy. This one was just unfortunate because it was very hard to drag two big suitcases out of the parking garage and then to the hotel over broken sidewalks.

Unique creatively renovated old buildings the best location. Lovely staff, delicious fresh pastries at breakfast. Our suite was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Special thanks to Valentina at reception for her kindness.

Third stay!

Third time we have stayed at this hotel over the past decade and keep going back. The location in Trieste is ideal, near the central piazza and the historical and pedestrian areas of the city as well as the waterfront. Their service is always kind, friendly, attentive. The rooms are clean, comfortable. The wifi and TV work well. We will be back!

Modern boutique hotel in great central location!

Helpful, friendly staff, very modern, super clean, excellent, central location, right by Piazza del’Unita, loads of nice cafes and restaurants all around, very quiet, great air-conditioning, safe parking garage only 200 meters away where hotel has discount. All around excellent!

Good place

Good location, center and closed to everything. Modern and functional. Room was warmed and the ac was centrally controlled by the front desk which set it up at a temperature that was too warm and uncomfortable, although we did asked. It has a good restaurant too.

Amazing neighborhood and location; innovative redesign of an old building; very friendly greeting, real concern that I check out the important attractions. Good breakfast selection of cold meats, pastry, bread, cereal, yogurt, fruit (eggs are the only cooked option). The room itself is well designed, with a good bathroom, but a little plain; a couple of comfortable chairs would have been nice. Good value for the money!

Great location. Depressing breakfast space (no daylight). Room was very small, aircon unreliable.

Perfect location to get the most out of Trieste. The best part was that it didn’t feel like you are in a hotel. The gets you into your own flat in your own building. Feels like you are living in Trieste and not just visiting. Great price for the location and room size. I would recommend this to my pickiest friend. Great breakfast, cool place.

Lovely room!

Lovely room! Small but has everything you need and layout doesn’t make it feel small. I was near the front and was worried about noise but was totally fine! Nice perk that breakfast was included.

Very central, very modern, bit noisy, would return

Super location, really nice hotel, very good value at less than €50 when I stayed. Very “design” focused so lots of hard surfaces can make corridors (and hence rooms) a bit noisy. Probably worth bearing that for the location and excellent breakfast!

Nice rooms in good location

Great location, close to the main square and a short walk to the ferry port and train station. We had a large spatious room with a large double bed and good sized bathrooms. Breakfast had a great variety of both food and drink choices. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Would stay at this property again

Excellent central location; helpful staff

Our bedroom was small but its design makes the most of the space creatively and efficiently. The trade-off is an excellent location such that all our desired destinations were within walking distance. The dining room is above a Roman ruin, which is visible below a glass floor. The staff was extremely accommodating, even at 5am on a Sunday morning, when we had to leave to catch a flight. Would happily rebook!

Great location in the historic part of town

Modern style hotel in a great location. Breakfast buffet had a variety of cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, breads and juices. Most of the staff spoke English. The only problem I had with the room was that there wasn't anywhere to put clothes away in drawers. There was a closet in which to hang clothes, but no dresser to place folded clothes.
