We love staying at the Royal Palms. It’s our go-to When staying in Ubud. It is a great location and for the price is perfect for what we need. The rooms are large, spacious, and clean with good Balinese style.

Clean hotel have used before however disappointed this time very noisy we were given room upstairs Found it very difficult to manage as there was no handrail, bathroom flooded whilst showering and there was no hairdryer available

Nicest staff ever!

We stayed for 2 nights at Ubud view and we were welcomed so well. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and helpful. They were there to assist us whenever we needed them. They helped us book excursions and activities. We had breakfast brought to our balcony each morning which was lovely. It’s in a fantastic location, 5 minutes walk to the monkey forest and right in the centre. We wanted to add on an extra night there but they were fully booked. Highly recommend.

Central to shopping and site seeing. Great pool and lovely staff.

Ubud view bungalows have the friendliest staff you will come across in your travels however hotel needs to invest in new mattresses (mine had bed bites!) and towels.

Ubud first visit

I loved the location, the pool & the staff were great very accommodating. The room had an old world charm with a beautiful antique 4post bed, interior wooden cathedral ceiling. Simply enchanting.!

Bali Bagus

I enjoyed my stay at Ubud View, a little disappointed that breakfast was not included with my deluxe room as I thought it was when booking. Need A/C due to a very busy main street. Rattan walls are not sealed making for a very noisy night of no sleep. Staff are awesome attentive without being intrusive. Clean rooms with a well maintained pool.My 5 night staff was great, I have no hesitation recommending this budget hotel.

Convenient budget hotel

Decent choice for low budget travelers to stay in the main area without paying top moneys. The facility is a little old, but adequate. Staff are very pleasant and efficient.

Cosy hotel, friendly staff.

Fabulous holiday to Ubud. Cosy hotel room, bed comfy, breakfast great and staff very helpful and friendly. Great pool with sunbeds (again cosy) and outside food. Within easy walking distance to palace, monkey forest, yoga barn, rice fields. Only negative comment is the bathroom was shabby. Would stay agin.

Recommend for budget travellers

While this hotel has more positives than negatives, our experience was a negative one. Our room was on the first floor with nice views overlooking the pool from the front balcony. Room was large, nice comfortable bed, bathroom good size although you had to go outside to access the hand basin. We were adjacent to an empty block with a number of trees and shrubs. The trees were home to a horde of small white flying insects that took a fancy to our room. Only a small nuisance during the day but at night when you are trying to sleep and they are landing on you it can be very annoying as the feel was not unlike mosquitoes. My wife had to extract one from her ear. As it turned out the staff were aware of this problem but neglected to tell us as it was the last room they had available - money over guest satisfaction. Needless to say we slept poorly that night and decided to cut short our stay. The desk staff offered to transfer us to another room that had become vacant and put another guest who wanted to extend in that room. The guest will be thankful that we didn't take up their offer.

Great place and location but super old building

Great location but our room disappointed. I had advised the hotel prior to our stay that I was pregnant and we were given a room on the second floor (with the steepest outdoor stairs I've ever walked up). There was no safety deposit box (even though it was advertised) and when I asked about it was told I could not have one. The towels were old, grey and thin, the shower taps on backwards, loose toilet and half the bathroom was on the common balcony (the one and only mirror and hand basin)

Little gem in Ubud

We had a lovely stay. The bungalows were well kept although the bathroom could do with an update. The staff were fabulous and the breakfast also very very good. I would defiantly stay here again

Not for the fragile or elderly

Central location, room was clean, however, in need of renovation. Walls are thin, I could hear the guests next door and above me. I was in No. 103 facing the pool. Most of the bathroom floor was covered with loose stones (see photo), which poses a high risk of fall for people with balance issues. This was also very inconvenient when climbing out of the bathtub after taking a shower. There is a partition wall in the pool separating the shallow part from the deeper part; you enter the pool via the shallow part and have to climb over the partition wall to get to the part where you can swim. Not for the fragile or elderly! The credit card machine did not work; we tried in the evening and next morning, no success, and I had to use an ATM to secure cash payment of their airport shuttle which cost me extra charges. I was not happy. The American breakfast including scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, two thin slices of potato and one and a half button mushroom was a real disappointment for me being a vegetarian. At 7am there were hotel staff busy around the pool area talking loudly, no chance to sleep in.

Lovely Place for a Great Price

I absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were so very hospitable and friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference to me. They only do room service breakfast on your balcony (which was fine with us!) and were awesome about getting us more coffee at no additional charge. It was very yummy with very nice portions. Be warned though...sometimes they are a bit early with breakfast. :) The pool was small, as most in the area are, but it was clean and nice to dip in and then catch some sun on a lounge chair. The major downfall is that the walls are super thin and there was a honeymooning couple next to us, which made it a bit awkward for my friend and I come nighttime...The staff even apologized to us when we asked about who was staying in the room adjacent to ours! For the price I don't think you can really beat it. I would definitely stay there again. Very lovely.

The staff at Ubud view were amazing. Super friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. the location was good, well within walking distance of all the sights (monkey forest, markets, palace). Breakfast was nice, a better size than other places in Bali we had stayed.

Great value in UBud!

We were looking for an affordable, well located Hotel in UBud and this was perfect. The staff was very gracious and helpful, the rooms were clean, the pool was beautiful, and the breakfast was great. Will book again when we come back to UBud.

The sweetest staff

They have the most service-minded staff I have ever come across, it was almost creepy. I loved it there.

Great location

The staff were phenomenal and very helpful and pleasant. Maybe this is normal in Bali, I am not aware but there were quite a few bugs in the room. We had to shake the bed sheets off everyday and zip up our backpacks. There was not a bed net. A larger (hand sized) lizard made it's way under our bed and geckos were all over the walls. Hotel had a great pool and is so close to a main road as well as the market and monkey forest.

Easy walk to Monkeys

Great location, walking distance to Monkey Forest, shops & restaurants. A comfy bed in clean room. Stayed in upstairs bungalow overlooking the pool. Bathroom basic, Wash basin out on patio (not great at night). Staff were terrific. 2nd time visitor. Will stay again

Rooms are not well equipped

they really should get the AC, the place gets really hot at night. the pool is nice tho.

Lovely Staff!

This was a great place to stay. The staff were amazing, when we arrived they were really welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. The room was very clean and refreshed everyday. They helped us organize day trips at a great price too.

Relaxed stay in central Bali

I enjoyed my stay in a bungalow style superior room. Being served breakfast in the morning on the porch of the bungalow and having morning coffee (and breakfast) overlooking greenery was very serene. The pool was wonderful also. The service was excellent and location quite central in Ubud.

Good location friendly

Overall ok nice staff but only a few loungers around pool and not enough furniture in general. They had to move our deck chairs from the second floor to have chAirs at the pool. Breakfast is spotty either wrong food brought or brought at wrong time. Ordered for 9 am and had staff knocking at door at 815 while we were still in bed.

The Internet doesn't work at all

They first put me in a room which had a lot of little bugs crawling around and the bed was broken. I talked to them, and they moved me into another room which was clean, nice, and had fully working beds. My main problem with the hotel is that the Internet did not work at all. I'm lucky I had a pocket wifi, otherwise I could not have done the business & personal calls I needed to make while staying there. If you don't care about Internet, this can be a nice place. However, if you need wifi, you should stay somewhere else. I have a tech background, and I think they need to replace all their equipment to get their system to work. They just tried to turn the router on and off again repeatedly, which didn't fix anything. I wouldn't bank on this being fixed anytime soon. Breakfast was okay. Laundry here was way overpriced.

Quiet and relaxing

We had a lovely time at the Ubud View. Very nice staff great breakfast. Nice pool great place. We plan to return. The price was great and wouldn't want to change anything?

Excellent customer service

I don't usually leave reviews, but I enjoyed my stay at Ubud View Bungalow so much that I decided to make an exception. The staff at Ubud View were extremely hospitable and welcoming. They made such an impression on me even though I only ended up staying for 24 hours. My friend and I originally booked to stay two nights, but had to check out before the second night, and the staff were very helpful with all our last minute requests. The room was clean and comfortable, well worth the price we paid. The standard rooms don't have air conditioners, but we didn't mind. The location was very near the Perama shuttle bus stop, which was convenient when we arrived. About 15-20 minutes walk to the main part of town, but tons of shops along the way anyway so it was a nice stroll. I'd definitely recommend it, purely because of the excellent customer service!

excellant friendly staff and great breakfast

The place is 20 minutes walk from the centre of Ubud. The room was not good stained bedding no real storage for clothing and shabby walls and ceilings. Nice pool very helpful and polite staff. Good service with breakfast and cleaning room. Shower and toilet not nice. WiFi didn't work well.

Very nice hotel, great location and kind personal

We stayed 2 nights, we enjoyed ir very much. The personal ir really kind. The room was very clean and comfort. The pool is very nice. And the best thing is the breakfast, really deliciuos!!!

Pas le top..

Hotel pas vraiment au centre, mais pas tres loins de tout (10-15min du centre à pied) Piscine pas trop mal. Nous avions la chambre la moins cher... Et la pire. Pas de fenêtre, juste des portes en bois qui ne ferment pas, avec une route assez passante qui est juste devant l'hôtel. Bref, nos meilleurs amis ont été nos boules quies! En plus, possible d'entendre la conversation des voisins, pratique... Par contre petit déjeuner copieux servi quotidiennement sur la terrasse de la chambre.

The hotel is well located In Ubud but I think that you could find a better place for the same price. Our room had no view with an old and uncleaned bathroom and it was quite noisy during the night. Futhermore, we booked initially this hotel for their swimming pool but we couldn't enjoy it because it was on maintenance during all of our stay. Gladly the staff was really nice and helpfull.

Bom custo benefício!

Fomos super bem atendidos, com muita atenção do staff. A estrutura de piscina e a localização são excelentes, porém ficar num típico bangalô Balines pode ser um pouco barulhento, pois as paredes não filtram os ruídos. No geral uma boa impressão!

Ubud view bungalows

Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely staff! Nice little pool area and walking distance to most things in Ubud. However, rooms are old and I had no AC. You can get more value for money at other places.
