This is a tough one as the property has so much potential. It’s gorgeous and the rooms are amazing however the service we experienced was poor. We got put into our room, one bed had a blanket, the other didn’t, pillow cases stained on one bed. Turns out there was no hot water so we asked to be moved due to this and the noise of the bar. Diego was helpful and apologetic, so we moved rooms the next day as it was too late at night to change. The shower and noise was disappointing as we were so tired and about to travel 30 hours. Moved to the new room which was gorgeous, definitely upgraded. So thank you for that however there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner. No hairdryer. So we requested this at about 6pm and I think the most inconvenient thing is we didn’t get these items until 1030pm at night and after many follow ups. It seemed like the room was half finished (newer part of the hotel) no where to hang towels, no door to close off to the outside area (only a screen door, so couldn’t completely lock the room up) I think with the right staff in place this place could be excellent. Please note: for anyone not going to Tulum to party, ask for a quiet room as this hotel sits right on top of a bar and it’s loud until 1am. The back rooms are nice and quiet.
So bohemian and Diego went out of his way to accommodate us!! Great vibe
Miguel and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Not worth the money you pay
The air conditioning in our room wasn’t working when we checked in, and it took the staff two hours to fix it. Unfortunately, it broke down a couple more times the next morning, making the first night sleepless. To make matters worse, there’s a bar across the street that blasts EDM music from 5 PM to 1 AM. If you’re hoping to get some rest during these hours, good luck. On top of that, the shower didn’t have hot water on the second day.
Great service
Wonderful service. The team is so friendly and helpful. Great rooms and nice breakfast. Can definitely recommend.
Diago and his brother are absolutely kind and respectful. When I return to Tulum I already know exactly where I’m staying. Very convenient in terms of dining, parties, shopping and rentals. Very clean and trendy. Two thumbs up! You will not be disappointed!
Good location
I REALLY enjoyed my stay at Turquoise. Diego was very friendly and was available anytime you needed him. My room was clean and comfortable and was a beautiful aesthetic. The pool, and dining area..oh everything was just perfect and calming. Only 5 mins away from the bus terminal for travellers and a lot of walking distance shops around. There is a bar/restaurant literally across if you want to go out for a drink. As my first time in Tulum, the hotel made me want to come back in the future and Turquoise will definitely be my stay in the future.
Very nice
Beautiful and tranquil hotel.
The photos don’t do it justice. Rooms I stayed in Royal room B with the private outdoor pool on the terrace. It was perfect, no one can see onto the terrace so you can get an all over tan in privacy. It rained while i was there but I still had an outdoor bath in the warm rain - I felt like Tarzan’s Jane. The AC wasn’t working in my room, so they gave me the key to another beautiful room and said i can go between the two. I stayed in the room without the AC as the fan worked, the room was on a corner and the breeze was plenty good enough. I felt like I was in a luxury jungle suit without the creatures/bugs. All the rooms have floor to sealing windows and doors that just add to that touch of elegance. There is a fridge in the room too. Bathroom The shower pressure was immense, i had to turn it down and standing at the end of the shower (in the water jet) felt like i was outside in the jungle with all the greenery through the window (but without any bugs/creatures). Staff Staff were outstanding and went out of their way to help make me comfortable. Nothing was too much of a problem and they insisted if anything was not to my liking to call them. Location MX 70 in a taxi from the ADO stop in the rain, so possibly cheaper on a dry day. Worth the taxi on such a wet day as there were loads of big puddles around. A 1 min walk from a pharmacy, shop, restaurants and very pretty coffee shop. If I ever come back to Tulum, this will be my spot. Wish i could have stayed longer.
Loved it
Cool hotel great staff
Great Location, Friendly staff,Dining, Aesthetic
Amazing staffs and owner! Super nice and helpful with all our questions and needs.
Lo único que no me gusto fue que mi cuarto era con el jacuzzi en el balcón y cuando me dediqué a llenarlo el agua salio demasiado sucia. No lo pude utilizar. Todo lo demás me encantó
Perfect spot!
Beautiful hotel, loved the huge tub and open shower concept, and all the natural lighting. Great staff, safe area, the breakfast was simple yet fresh and perfect. Good communication from hotel staff. Close to Holistika for yoga, Zamna for the fiesta, and with a scooter you can be to the beach in 15-20 minutes. The restaurant across the way bumps until like 2am some nights but as long as you aren’t a light sleeper or bring your sleep meditations/music you’ll be fine!
amazing affordable lovely hotel! very kind and attentive staff super convenient and great price!
Everything was great except one night I forgot my key code for the front door. No one answered the calls, no one answered the door buzzer, no one was there at the front desk. I was locked out for 30mins and it would have been more unless another couple who was staying there showed up with a code.
Love the people that work there they are so friendly
Quaint place in Tulum in an upcoming neighborhood.
We stayed in Turquoise Tulum for 5 nights during our roadtrip across the Yucatan Peninsula. We didn't experience any of the negative things we read in earlier reviews, but of course every experience is personal. The property looked in good shape with two pools and a lovely outside area with a lot of greenery. We booked a bigger room with a private plunge pool. People who booked this room before, expecting a private fullsize pool didn't read the description properly. But it is an excellent addition to the room to dip into after a hot day out. Room was spacious and the shower was adequate. The pricing was excellent, although it was low-season. La Veleta is a neighborhood on the rise with lots of great restaurants and bars around. Walk to town is about 20-30 minutes (don't drive, parking is aweful). Bike ride to the beach is about 20 minutes. The bikes they have for hire can use some maintenance or replacing. Breakfast is simple but sufficed for us. For us, this was a great place to stay, especially with the pool floaty and their house cat who keeps you company during breakfast. Would recommend!
EXCELENT
BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN HOTEL. EVERYBODY WAS VERY KIND, EXCEEDED MY EXPECTION, LOCATED IN A NICE AND SAFE AREA.
The staying was excellent , friendly staff , clean rooms . Great location .
Staff really very nice and the location is very good.
Amazingly modern clean hotel
Amazing hotel, staff were very friendly and tried to help with any requests. It’s a good location with a lot going on around it. We would have an appreciated being made aware beforehand that there is a building site next door, this only affects you if using the pool by the kitchen area. Also, opposite the hotel is Místico bar and hookah, a venue which seemed to think it was a night club but always appeared empty. You can hear the music clearly. We didn’t mind this as we could appreciate the area we were in, but would be good if you don’t like too much noise, not to have a room facing the road.
There was no hot water the whole stay after being told there would be water on the last day due to a water heater replacement. The AC was also right above the bed which dripped onto us the whole night and the wooden bed frame which is only a disaster for mold! The breakfast was also very minimal but ok. The only issue was that a cat jumped on me as I was eating the only day that we chose to dine there. Best part was the location. The street has lots of great local restaurants
The pictures of this hotel are pretty deceiving. The hotel rooms aren't clean, there's MOLD, DUST in the room (I have pictures to prove it), and products from the previous guest were still around. The shower was cold even though we escalated this every day nothing was done on the last night there offered us to shower in another empty room - how convenient (!) I am very disappointed with our stay. I will not be booking again ever
Just as pretty as the pictures
Filthy room and common area
I booked based on reviews but was not too happy with the stay. When we arrived they took us to the wrong room and we had a lot of luggage. The bathroom was still with the previous stays trash and toiletries all over.
This hotel has potential, but we did not have the best experience. They are renovating and expanding. Although the mess is hidden, the sounds of construction are evident. Unfortunately, we had no running water (shower, tub, sink or toilet) for the first 24 hours. This was a huge disappointment, seeing how we booked a "luxury" room with an outdoor bathtub that we could not use. The power was also out the morning of our departure, which made it impossible to connect with the wifi and host. After sharing my concern and submitting the appropriate paperwork, there has been no refund or follow-up. Such a bummer, considering the price we paid! We had a better experience at the cheaper hostel we booked--Joy Tulum.
This is an honest review. Please aware of the situation. We booked the king room with private pool room. There is a huge construction with the hotel, therefore, you will not see and enjoy half of the hotel. We were woken up by construction by 6:45 AM each day. The construction did end until 6 PM sometimes 7 PM. We tried to enjoy our OWN private pool, all of the construction workers were staring at us. If you want to use the general pool, same thing would happen there too. Once the construction starts, it is very dusty. You wouldn't enjoy your breakfast nor next to pool. We parked out in front of the hotel. Our car got dusty each day because of construction. The hotel promisses you bike for each guest. Not true. They have very limited bikes. Those bikes are very beat up and some of them are very dangerous to ride. I am speaking from my own experience. Hotel is not near anything. It would take you 15-20 minutes to get to Tulum center with bike. It would take you 45 minutes to an hour to go to Tulum beach. The only good thing about this hotel is front desk man, Jesus and your AC in your room. That is it. I have requested a refund from Expedia due to misrepresentation of the hotel including bait & switch. I will provide an update if i have received any refunds feom Expedia which they communicate directly with the hotel.
The Turquoise Petit is a real gem in heart of Tulum! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and really gives you jungle vibes. It is in a great location that allows you to walk to many amazing restaurants. There are also free bikes you can take to ride around Tulum and explore. I cannot wait to visit again.
Turquoise Petit Hotel was nice, but definitely not as nice as the pictures make it to be. Unfortunately, they are undergoing renovations (July 2021) so the larger, nicer pool was not available. We booked for a one king bed with a private bathroom option. The room itself is tiny but doable. Flooring is concrete (I would recommend bringing slippers because it gets very dirty). We arrived quite early in the morning so the room was not ready yet, but we asked to use the restroom. The front desk actually brought us to our room (previous guest had just left). Pillows and bedsheets were extremely dirty (black dots and marks everywhere). Luckily, I was prepared and brought pillow cases, esp during this covid time. Parking was free (street parking)
Thank you!
Loved the outdoor bathtub and the bikes!
Liked everything but no free bikes now.
Stay here! Very very clean, cute near some delicious Italian cuisine not far from Tulum Ave and 30 min from the beach clubs. The staff is superb and the owner is amazing!
A very nIce little oasis
pools were nice. free bike rental very niice
Good
The hotel design is super chic, the pool area being very zen and rooms having an LA minimalist meets Mexican bohemian vibe. Location is around 10-15 mins walk from decent bars and restaurants. You’ll need a hire car or bicycle (free from hotel) to get to Tulum beach. Service at the hotel is passive and breakfast is quite basic; we stayed 6-nights and had the same selection every day; scrambled eggs, fruit salad, natural yogurt, musli, toast and jams. Watermelon juice every day and average filter coffee. We bought our own tomatoes and avocado to prepare ourselves for some variety. I would recommend this hotel, although expectations need to be managed re service and breakfast.
Charming, Quiet, Convenient Boutique Hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at Turquoise Petit. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and full of recommendations for the area. We loved reading in the hammock and enjoying evening dips in the pool. Got a lot of miles out of the complimentary bikes! Quiet location, but convenient to everything the pueblo has to offer.
We loved our stay at Turquoise Petit. Beautiful little hotel close to downtown Tulum. A great value! Breakfast was good. Basic eggs, fruit, toast, granola and coffee situation. So nice to roll out of bed and have that right on site! We had a second floor room with a balcony and it was lovely to lay on our bed during a thunderstorm and watch the tree tops of the jungle. At night we sat out and watched bats fly by (not as scary as it sounds!). Romantic and beautiful! You'll definitely feel like you're staying in the jungle, but you're still just a 20 - 30 min walk (depending on your speed) to downtown or you can hop on one of their bikes and be there in half the time!
Relaxing stay here, nice breakfast. Very close to town and not far from the beach. Try the chicken shack up from the hotel
Staff was very nice a helpful Carmen at the front desk helped us plan our excursion she gave us great options and connected us with a great cab service. The breakfast was delicious. Chill atmosphere close to lots of restaurants and fun bike ride away from the beach( no extra bike charge) I would definitely stay again.
Mexican chic
Loved the decor! The pools were reminiscent of Mexican pilas. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and breakfast could be better. Service was great!
Described accurately
Good: The people and service were great. Comfy beds, the room has everything you need. Could improve: I would suggest to get soundproof or thicker doors as we could pretty much hear everything that was going on in the street (dogs barking, loud music, construction work, etc.) as well as blackout curtains cause the sunlight is very strong in the morning. It is far away from the town but for us it wasn't a big deal cause we rented a car which we found easy to find parking for everywhere. Overall I would come back as we loved Tulum and its people.
Little turquoise oasis
My partner and I had an amazing stay at Turquoise Petit. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. When one of the ladies left the hotel and saw my partner and I riding around on bikes lost, she approached us and gave us directions toward the beach. We loved the decor and vibe of this hotel. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful stay for couple
This is a really nice place to stay. The 2 pools are nice, overall decoration is beautifull, the bedroom was big and the private bath in the balcony is a must. Breakfast is also really good.
Turquoise Delight
Beautiful understated decor; room nicely appointed; artistic vibe; quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious with a nice variety. Staff friendly and helpful. Small size gives it intimacy. My absolute favorite part was the pool area and lounging/swimming with the Buddha statue. Great great great value for the price. Five thumbs up... I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone.
Ecelent
Hotel is amazing. Service is excellent. Breakfast was good. Cook eggs how you liked it. Clean room and quiet.
Lovely stay ....friendly hosts
We had a lovely stay here ....it was everything we needed and was advertised well. The rooms are comfortable with a small fridge and a safe. The shower was hot and worked well. Wifi was great. We had room service every day which was nice and the breakfast was good and fresh. The hotel is behind a locked gate ...beyond the gate the neighbourhood is poor and in not the best condition, however we felt safe and everyone was friendly . The use of the bikes was great (you prob need them) as its off the main circuit. We extended our stay by 2 days .
