The hosts were top notch, room warm, comfortable. Setup for breakfast was far above what I expected. Spa at night was. Just perfection. Walking distance to the beach, bar and food. Would go there again.

Really friendly and helpful host , everything was beautifully thought out and the room was very comfortable .

We had a comfortable room with a good shower and mattress. We made use of the hot tub which was enjoyable.

Comfortable and welcoming

Comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Swimming pool was lovely. Ideal location to stay for our Kapiti island trip.

Such a charming comfortable b&b. Loved the pool and hot tub and everything about the b&b. Great hosts as well.

Big disappointment

Very noisy, very little privacy. TV too low, and kept cutting out. Bed very small and mattress very hard and lumpy. Didn’t sleep hardly for the two nights there. Upstairs guests thumping around until after 22:00. House looks nice from outside, yard nice, and pool, but hot tub is old and needs a lot of updates and cleaning. Continental breakfast consists of jars of cereals which can be opened by anyone and no telling who’s had access to them. Not very sanitary. Oh and no fresh fruit, two cans of fruit. Did have individual packets of butter and preserves. Did have fresh milk and yogurt. No cookies. Bathroom was nice, good water pressure and comfy robes. Just very small room and not what we had anticipated, from the pictures. No list in room of nearby restaurants or places of interest.

My only regret is that I only booked for one night. The Serengeti room is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There was food to serve yourself breakfast. A great facility and hosts were helpful.

This is a wonderful property to stay at and the owner is very kind and personable. Very clean and spacious, the room, or flat, we stayed in was quiet and cozy. The only criticism I can give it, is that the bed itself was a bit hard for our liking, but otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

Awesome stay

We stayed before and after a visit to Kapiti island, and the hot tub and hot shower were just what we needed. Walkable to shops, restaurants and the beach. The breakfast was provided in the room, with a good variety of choices. However, there was limited preparation space so it could be a bit cramped when trying to make food. You definitely should eat dinner out, as there is no where to do dishes other than the bathroom sink. This is not a big issue, but worth noting! Overall a great stay, Simon was lovely and very helpful!

Great stay. Everything you need. Top floor half the house, themed, loads room(s). minor... didn;t bother me... just be aware it is a supplied continental breakfast with heaps of choice in the room, not cooked, not at a "host-table" like many B&B.

Nice choice near the water

Safari room was so unique! Need a car to be there, wished we could have gotten a late check out (10 am is rough!) but understood cleaners were coming.

Absolutely lovely property and room was very comfortable. Spa hot tub was a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. Owner was warm and welcoming.

Lovely place to stay. We only had one night and stayed in the Serengeti Suite. It was very spacious and had everything we needed. Would have benefited more from a longer stay. There was cereal, yogurt, toast and canned fruit for breakfast in the suite.

A well kept secret in Paraparaumu!!

We had a lovely stay here, my husband had hurt his back while moving our daughter into her flat in Wellington. Our host went above and beyond to make him comfortable. THANK YOU! His local knowledge was invaluable and the spa pool worked a treat. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed and so much more. We will return

Weekend get away

We loved our Suite. They had thought of everything to make the suite comfortable and attractive. Quiet and easy access to restaurants and shops.

It could do with a better kitchen lay out

I highly recommend this as a place to stay. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, my room was lovely and very clean, bed was comfy and the provided breakfast was great.

Well kept, tidy and a great place to stay

Beautifully presented, and ideal for what we wanted, Generous continental breakfast options, and private accommodation. If there's a negative it would be the limited parking on the property -- there is room for one car (not a large SUV, I hope) but limited maneuverable room for a timid driver; but there is ample on-street parking in a very private cul-de-sac. Overall, I would be very happy to recommend, and will be delighted to use again should the need arise.

I stayed for 4 nights and found Tudor Manor to more than exceed my expectations. It was so clean and roomy and the staff friendly and helpful. very good continental breakfast and everything was refreshed when needed. I was on my own and felt safe and more than comfortable. Loved the spa pool and had a nice couple of hours sitting outside around the pool in the sun. Very close to shops/restaurants although I didn't find the restaurants as friendly and pleasant as those at Waikanae and Ramati. The ones at the beach were difficult to get in to and appeared to close quite early. Worth the trip down the road to the other two locations.

We loved how quiet the area was.

i was surrounded by African wildlife! Elephants, Lions giraffes etc.. The room was very good and rhe owners very friendly and helpful.

Simon the friendly host greeted us on arrival, made sure we were happy with the setup and recommended an excellent restaurant for the evening. The room was bigger and even better than the photos.

I nearly skipped choosing this stay as I don't usually like the closeness of a B&B to the hosts. However, this was so great. Easy check-in, private, and very comfortable. The food was really nice.

Very tired looking property ,TV reception sporadic ,bed not comfortable ,breakfast of tinned fruit ,cereal,toast,on a cupboard ,no prep space in a walkin robe ? Exspensive and not as good as photos

We arrived late that night but Simon our host was very accommodating and nothing was a problem.

First time doing a B and B. Great host, enjoyed the stay and use of the pool.

Peace and plenty

Comfortable beds and the peaceful location meant a much appreciated good night’s sleep. Luxurious bath towels and ample and thoughtful supplies for continental breakfast means we will certainly return and recommend this place to stay instead of Wellington with its spaghetti of one way streets.

Lovely appartement style accomodation with kitchenette, bathroom, lounge and a full size separate bedroom. We were welcomed and showed around and got the best restaurant recommendation, sopranno just a few min walk into town. We were lucky as we arrived just on opening and they squeezed us in before their very busy night. Good amenities and facilities within accommodation, bed was very comfy, wifi was very reliable. Thank you for a quality service and accommodation.

Great location, very nice character place to stay, everything is carefully prepared, place was clean, spacious and convenient, full continental breakfast is provided. Simon is very friendly, helpful and understanding. Due to our own booking mistake we initially had to cancel the booking, then we had to change the plan and request to continue booking, Simon was very flexible, waited for us in the evening until our arrival. We had a wonderful stay there. Thank you Simon!

Just right - had everything needed for a quiet, safe stay. Shower was great once I'd got over the surprise of stepping down into it. Lots of things to do had I needed to entertain myself - good selection of books and dvd's

Overnight stopover

We stayed overnight here after crossing on the ferry. It's about an hour north of the ferry terminal, and quite easy to find. The owners had put a heater on our room prior to arrival, which was nice. The room has its own separate access at the back of the house. But it was quite noisy in the morning when people on the floor above us rose and moved about from 6am, with the floor creaking. Breakfast was included in the room rate, with bread (for making toast), a variety of cereals and yoghurt, orange juice and tea and coffee making facilities supplied. The shower was great - high pressure. We noticed a bit of dust around the place, especially the blinds in the bathroom, which needed a really good clean, but the bed was clean and comfortable.

Second time we’ve stayed.

Second time we’ve stayed, this time in the Serengeti room. Lots of room with a separate bedroom and nice views. Bathroom spacious but shower tiny. Good breakfast supplies.

The place was beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and firm. It was nice to look out the window at the lawn and gardens and have breakfast. It was relaxing it lay on the grass after a soak in the spa and read a book. Highly recommended this place. ead a book

Cosy Getaway for Two

My partner and I chose to stay here for a quick getaway from Wellington for two nights. It was perfect! Quiet, calm, and the proprietor was very accommodating and unassuming. We would have liked to use the spa pool, but unfortunately it had broken the night before we arrived! These things happen but are always annoying when you believe you are paying for certain amenities and they are not in working order or available during your stay. Otherwise, the room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, great setup and location, nothing else to complain about!
