We only stayed over one night. Staff was great and there is a walkway to the beach right across the street.
Nice rooms good location
Only complaint is the ac had a strange smell in the actual room other than that it was very clean and convenient.
The staff of the company are very good and the hotel accommodation was excellent.
Easy access from airport
Poor experience..unkept and rude management .. Do yourselves a favor and Stay elsewhere
Nice place
While the hotel itself was ok there were some trouble spots. We got to hotel a few hours early but room not ready..said they would call us when ready but they did not and we hit a substandard room- only a small window 6 ft up on wall, 3 lights that did not work. And the vip coupons were very limited and did not cover much in the restaurants
Easy Check In, great service.
Excellent speedy check in. The room upgrade was a very nice surprise. The hotel could invest in window cleaning, in order to make the view that more enjoyable. Otherwise, everything else was spotless.
This building doesn’t have a true ocean view.
Just not what i expected.
The room could have been in better condition
Staff was very friendly
It was fine just unorganized compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in PR , also random charges on my card with no explanation from the hotel
The location was convenient and the staff was friendly.
I found a roach in my room.
Nice staff and pretty nice facilities.
There was a miscommunication by staff during check in. Front Desk Staff stated we had to pay for additional nights versus the incidentals and service charge fees causing a delay with the check in that lasted from 3pm to 6pm. I was told I would receive a phone call around 3pm to check since I arrived around 12pm which I thought was very nice but I never received the call. Last and worst of all there were roaches in the room. The front desk was called about roaches and the response was " Oh, What do you want me to do? Thank Goodness we decided to check our luggage before check out because low and behold a creepy crawler was in our suitcases ' I brought it up again upon check out and the response was "Oh!" While the hotel looks clean, there is a roach issue that needs to be taken care of immediately. This is the only stain on a visit to a beautiful island.
Very nice property, friendly & helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.
Convenient for airport. Originally allocated a room on 2nd floor without natural light overlooking reception but receptionist changed it to a higher room with view of the freeway and by the external aircon unit . The pool was nice but not enough loungers and towels. Restaurants and bars are close by, however shopping is about 5-10 minutes by car.
We had a pretty good stay at the Tryp Wyndham. It was convenient to Carolina Beach. And an easy Uber ride to old San Juan and to our cruise port. It was very busy due to it being festival season and the street we were on was very busy. We heard a number of sirens at night as well as loud music from vehicles. Definitely an urban setting. We also smelled a lot of pot. However, our room was clean and the service at the front desk was great. We were not able to check in right away due to our room not being ready, but they allowed us an extended check out time and that was so beneficial to us due to the time that we were able to get on our cruise ship. we did enjoy complementary drinks due to our VIP status and that was nice as well as a percentage off at the restaurant and we did take advantage of that as well. I had a delicious charcuterie. A special thank you to Brittany. She did a great job with her customer service.
Stayed only one night due to cancelled flight.
Check in was delayed by an hour. Staff was a little rude. Stayed for one night.
Poor customer service and did not clean room the right way .
Across from beach, pool, local restaurants and bakery in walking distance." Los Pinos" great food 24hrs next to hotel and "Panderia España" great bakery - breakfast, lunch and dinner at Isla Verde. I highly recommend this place.
The hotel was nice. Very clean, nicely decorated. The only issue that I had was that at the middle of the night the fire alarm started to sound. Went to the front desk to ask what happened since I didn’t see guests or personnel running outside, they just mentioned it was a misunderstanding or error without any apologies. If that would not happened, I would have sleep better that night. Nevertheless, the hotel has a good location. Also it provides parking which is a huge plus.
Close to Airport and beace. Extea towel request each time took 1 to 2 hours after repeated requests.
Here’s why I gave a low rating: The hotel itself is clean and in a great location near the beach, but my experience at TRYP Wyndham Isla Verde was frustrating. 1. Not-so-great service: I booked through Expedia and paid for breakfast in advance, but when I checked in, I had to argue for almost 90 minutes at the front desk to get the breakfast coupons. I ended up waiting for the manager to arrive around 9:30 AM, and by the time it was resolved (close to 9:50 AM), breakfast was practically over. My family couldn’t enjoy the meal we had already paid for. 2. Noise issues: There’s loud music outside at night and early morning. While it’s not entirely the hotel’s fault, it definitely disturbed my sleep. 3. Untrained front desk staff: Customer service was lacking, and the attitude felt like they were doing me a favor. For example, I never received my email receipt, even after giving my email address multiple times—to Expedia, during check-in, and at check-out. When I called to request it later, I had to give my email again, and the staff’s tone was far from helpful. If I opt for an email receipt, it’s the hotel’s responsibility to send it. For the price I paid, I expected much better service. Honestly, for the same rate, I could stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia and have a completely different experience. The good parts? The location, hot breakfast (if you can actually get it), and cleanliness. The downsides? Poor service, noise, and low value for the high price I paid
There were staff shortages, towel shortages. Asked for cleaning for the room multiple times. It was time consuming.
Nice staff and clean place. However, a hotel bill was not provided at ck out, instead, "it will be emailed to you, and ALL is WELL." Surprise $164 additional charge to my Visa, and no explanation, despite being promised a call back. For all: Demand your itemized bill, printed out for you before leaving!!!!
I liked the room, reception and general cleanliness of the property. Considering they were charging extra for breakfast, expected something better than the standard egg and sausage and cereal considering the exhorbitant price. Had to go out the next few days to get something good. Swimming pool was great but had no pool towels anytime I went there. They blaming the guests for taking them. there were barely two or three guests there at any time. Service was quite poor.
My stay at Tryp Isla Verde was an absolute disappointment. The HVAC system in my room malfunctioned, causing excessive condensation to build up throughout the space. Clothes, furniture, and even the ceiling were damp, with water dripping continuously. It felt like living in a swamp. When I brought this issue to the staff’s attention and requested to move rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked. Their only solution was to reimburse the resort fee, which was completely inadequate given the circumstances. The room remained damp, uncomfortable, and unhealthy for the duration of my stay. To make matters worse, I left the property feeling sick, likely due to the unrelenting moisture and poor air quality in the room. This was not only an unpleasant experience but also a health hazard. I would strongly advise avoiding this property until they address their maintenance issues and show a willingness to prioritize guest comfort and well-being. This was far from the experience I expected, especially for the price paid.
Property was attractive but felt quite small. If you are trying to decide on rooms , pick something with a good view because most the rooms are tiny and the view makes all the difference...
Good location to stay near airport
Rooms are too small
Nice hotel, near the airport and beaches
Rooms are small
breakfast was the worst ever
10 minutes after checking in I was called by someone at the front desk telling me I was given the wrong room, and I would have to move. Every time I would return to my room, I would have to go to the front desk due to my room key not working, every time. The included American breakfast is not what it sounds like. Plan to go somewhere for breakfast after leaving the hotel.
Great staff
Great value
Great hotel, very clean and accesible and friendly staff.
Very Good for this price range. You have to try the restaurants that these property has. They have a good food selection with excellent customer service. The pool is not huge but pretty good space. And the beauty rest beds and pillows they are the most comfortable you'll come across featuring a pillow top with topper. Professional staff.
Close to all kind of places and airport
The pool was clean and pretty. They had accessible bathrooms near the pool.
It was a nice stay an ill stay again
We enjoyed using the pool and the on site restaurant. Very close to the airport and a 2 minute walk to the beach!
Room window was old , dining food was not great , salty and staff not coming to the table ask if we need help. Staffing not salute customers . Price was too high for the hotel . Breakfast always the same . Not a lot of fruit and bread options . Everyday slice bread.
.
Its one of my favorite hotels
The room was spacious, clean. We requested an extra bed as the beds were very small and we were 3 adults. They said they cannot add another bed but after we insisted (a lot)on something being done to accommodate us they agreed to change our room to one with a king bed and a rollaway bed. We had to request the 2 drinks that were included. We did not get a room upgrade (the second room was not an upgrade). Breakfast was ok. Pool area was nice. We did not use the laundry room but it was nice to have the option to do laundry if needed. The area around the hotel is not the best but it’s ok, you can walk to restaurants and the beach is close. It is very noisy, lots of traffic. Some staff were nice some were aloof and not very helpful, but I guess that’s everywhere. Overall it was a nice place to stay.
Really enjoyed my stsy
The bathroom was small and configuration of room/bathroom is not ideal.
Super close to the airport and family home.thank you for your service and really professional people's.
Overall a decent hotel. The area was bustling with a lot of eateries 24/7. The beach was in walking distance. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a bit small but comfortable and clean.
The property in itself was modern and a site to see. Etiquette could use some work. First time approach is everything. Greeting guests with a smile, sets the tone. We reported concerns within the property that were not addressed. This is disappointing as first time guests in Puerto Rico. When there are concerns of guests, it shouldn't be brushed off as something minor and not taken seriously. That makes ghe stay uncomfortable and nonapproachable.
Clean h good restaurant
Excellent service & love the room. Thank You!
Had everything we needed, just on a smaller scale
Hotel is located very close the beach, just cross the street, and follow the sidewalk. Great pool and restaurants located within the facility. Comfortable bed and clean. We did call the hotel "small-tel" because everything just seems to be on 3/4 scale: elevator, hallways, room, shower, ceiling height. It's not bad, but just a "little" surprising. Was clean, but would have preferred for the bathroom door to not have frosted glass panel. Anytime anyone used it during the night, the entire room lit up. Was perfect for our needs, a single night stay before heading out for an early morning flight--10 minutes from the airport via Uber.
Very good
TRYP was a very accommodating Hotel right across the street from the beach. There is no ocean front view.
it was perfect! came here for my birthday and loved it staff was so nice and everyone was welcoming! the bar and restaurant 10/10 good drinks and food would definitely stay again
Clean, comfortable, and convenient.
Ok
Clean, quiet, comfy bed, great hot shower… what more would you need?
10/10
This property is well located, just across the street there is the beach and surrounded by good restaurants. The price worth it
Recomendable
It was right on strip and. Mode to everything
The property didn't specify that there was a $15/day parking fee, yet they promptly charged it.
Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay. Nice quiet area close to the beach
My room was right next to the elevator so I heard all that noise.
Next to lots of night life.
Clean.walkable to restaurants.bars ect, room was really comfortable and very clean,Bar downstairs was really convenient, the pool was nice and warm Would come back
Need to pay for parking. Not for families with kids.
Roaches in room 807 nasty
We paid for breakfast in our fee. Our rescheduled flight back home because of Hurricane Milton was 3am the second morning. I was told by the person running breakfast and manager that they’d make sandwiches for the boys with me for the plane. They confirmed several times to ask staff when we checked out at midnight. There was nothing. Empty promises.
The hotel is decent but watch out for the bathroom doors and the shampoo holders in the shower. They are super flimsy and will break easily on you. All 3 of the hotels I had got the exact same problem. I’m starting to think it’s a scam they do to keep your deposit. Btw even if you pay for an expensive room the breakfast is still 20 dollars. I paid over 4K for my hotels and still had to pay for breakfast. The key cards also stop working and work again randomly. Also be aware that even if your expidia app tells you you’re only paying xxx amount on the property you’re going to have to pay more. My app told me after I paid for the hotels I’d have to pay 438 at the property. I ended up haven’t to spend 1200 at the property and only getting 700 back
Friendly staff
Great hotel however my bathroom door got jammed twice and they charged me 54 for that. The guy who fixed it said that’s something that always happens, so they shouldn’t charge for something that is their “problem”
Very durty place
This place is surrounded by everything easy excess to the beach and other you want to do is really close love the time I had
Loved the fact the beach is right across the street and Front Desk concierge gave amazing customer service
it was very clean...
Great hotel, friendly and attentive staff. Clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay again .
Clean, affordable, excellent service, very professional staff.
Great location, Brittany assisted with the checking process and explained the benefits and perks under my reservation. Great hotel. It was a great stay, however, the flooring by the pool is very slippery specially when trying to get out of the pool, i hurt myself when getting out of the pool. Other than that, its a good property.
Hotel in the other side of the street from the beach with easy access. If your room in facing the front street, it's a little noisy.
Great hotel!!!
Sorry was pretty good. The room size was perfect. Very convenient all around to go to different places.
Excelentes condiciones y facilidad
staff was very respectful and accomodating
No TV Service in the room. The TV is in No signal all the stay in the hotel
Mary is a huge asset to the hotel. She checked me in and gave me a much appreciated upgrade so that my extra tall body would fit the bed. She was very sweet and extremely efficient. My brother sat on his bed so we can discuss our attack plan on the beach area. He felt a very sharp poke. And he actually yelled out. Between the bottom sheet and the mattress pad was a hypodermic needle. It punctured his skin and now we are both concerned. He will undergo the usual blood tests. Hoping it was used for a diabetic, there is no excuse as to how housekeeping didn’t see this. Even if they were in a hurry, this is in them. I did take the needle to the housekeeping manager. Although she didn’t speak a word of English. The lady at the front desk interpreted. The manager stood there in silence, most likely in shock. Unbelievable. No letter of apology. No discount on my bill. Nothing. Even waving the resort fee and parking at checkout would have been a nice and sincere, “I’m sorry.” Nothing. The pic of the needle will be included in this review.
G
Liked everything it’s close to a lot of places
Once Cristiano arrived, they make his day miserable asking him for a signed credit card authorization for something around 30 US$ denying his check in until I can send that info (I was driving back home because his arrival was after office hours) he has to wait more than. 2 hours to do the check in Unacceptable, they could be more respectful with us, we will never use this hotel again!!!!
Mold in our room, and bugs got very sick. Moved us to another room but we had to wash and dry all of our clothes to make sure we were not bringing bugs.
Very nice place to stay across -across the street from the beach Hospitality is not where it should Be but i can See the room for improvement. If they cater more to they guest hands down can be a 5 star hotel They need to interact more instead of staring i shouldn’t have to speak Spanish to feel welcomed …. They need to promote the food more and be more attentive to guest. Restaurant in the hotel had the best waitress I’ve ever experienced she was amazing forgot her name but she will be going places and doing things.

The breakfast wasn't free and it is not included in your stay. Dont be fooled. Everyone who stays here eats the first morning and then everyone gets shell shocked that its 20$ a head. Burger king is next door. 4$ breakfast sammies.
