Really convenient for ferry terminal, the waterfront, running around the bay.
It was very hard to find more information is needed for arrivals
New person on reception and he clearly did not know what he was doing. Charge me wrong and it took a lot of my time to get it fixed. I really like the location so will use it again and hope to have more luck next time
Handy location in the CBD, close to attractions, eateries, and shopping. Shower had plenty of hot water, with great water pressure. Housekeeping were attentive. Rooms would benefit from an upgrade, but the Travelodge is excellent value for money.
The staff was rude . Otherwise the property is good. Rooms are small. Rooms are small. Paid parking.
The only reason that I didn’t rate this hotel as excellent is because it does not begin serving breakfast until 6:30am - too late to catch the ferry.
Great value
Comfortable and convenient. Buffet breakfast was good and staff helpful.
got a parking ticket because i put one letter wrong with registration,, i was in a red zone with permission
Travelodge had all the facilities we needed. An excellent fridge with milk provided. The bed was huge and very comfortable and a strong shower. Plates bowls mugs and cutlery meant it was perfect for our needs
It would have been higher but coming out of lift to restraunt and stepping onto a soaking wet floor and slipping and very nearly falling was not great, zero signage...had a fallen and broken anything the hotel would have been liable for my medical care, really soured my stay...signage!!!!
Friendly staff. Accomodations were comfy. The noise, however, was a bit much. It sounded like the people above me were trying to put their foot through my ceiling (their floor). Breakfast was very good.
Comfy overnight stay
We had a very good stay at the hotel. All the staff were really nice and we got good service. The bed was quite comfy and there was a nice bathroom with all the necessities. The shower was had nice pressure and was hot. We even had dinner at the restaurant and the food was pretty good but not great.it was also very close to where we needed to be which was an added bonus.
Can't fault the stay or staff. Central location. Stayed previously and will again.
The staff were lovely and we overall enjoyed our stay. The fan was just sufficient noting there is no aircon. Value for money with location and great staff
A very pleasant hotel and very conveniently located
Good service
Nice hotel in the city centre but unfortunately the restaurant was closed over the holidays which is not ideal for a hotel.
The rooms didn’t have ac. The sink was blocked & the room had a bit of an unpleasant smell when we checked in. Rooms are narrow & small, tv wasn’t properly connected either
We loved the overall stay within our budget, thanks for the team :)
Great location - incredibly poor front desk service at checkin by receptionist. General Manager was great though. However, no one has replied to emails after feedback provided to Travelodge. Disappointing.
Good hotel in the heart of Wellington. Staff is super friendly and helpful, specially people at reception. Rooms are ok but need an upgrade. Hotel is very central near all things in Wellington. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options.
Everything was great!
Overall good small room, however walls are thin, so you can hear everything.
Restaurant wasn't open on a Sunday
Great Hotel, close to everything, excellent friendly service
2 Day Stay in Wellington
Good stay in a great City !
Right in central Wellington - convenient that all we wanted to do was within an easy walk.
Perfect place to stay in for a vacation!
Good location for everything (bus, food, shopping)! Easy pick up for those who are keen in doing day tours! affordable and comfortable place to stay, safe!
Staff friendly
Nice place to stay
Very nice hotel and location but parking fee is very expensive
Staffs are great! Food are Ok with same as every day.
The staff were friendly and helpful and I had a lovely safe, quiet stay. The cleaning was lacking a little; I found a couple of empty beer bottles under my bed when I went to search for something. I also thought it could be more helpful if there were labels on how to use the coffee machine, toast maker etc in the dining room, however, the food was delicious! Be aware that there is no room service until 5pm, which wasn't clear on the room information. I might also check that I have a bath if I book again as that too wasn't obvious. Otherwise, I would most definitely stay again.
Notjing
Everything was good, spent 2 nights, comfortable, will stay there again, but sadly they didn't even come in and clear the bin, the bin is not very big so it got full.
Nice spacy room with views over Wellington harbour
VIP was excellent. Nice bottle wine just drinking now😍 Also room upgraded 21. Floor corner unit. Harbor views Also had a good free gym In middlenof tourist area. GreT dining and pubs
Didn’t realize when we booked re: parking. Explore options to make it more economical. Also … recommend trying to find “Willis Lane” for fun dining options in Food Court.
Efficient and professional
A nice place to stay. You should order breakfast with your stay!!!
All good
the room was comfortable and the lifts were quick to respond. location was great.
Nice rooms and excellent staff
Conveniently located for my needs. The room was quite small for what I paid & didn’t have a seperate sink to fill the jug & no supplies to wash & reuse cutlery & dishes but the staff were friendly & helpful & it served my purpose
Perfect for stopovers
Great location for a short stay
Reception staff are fantastic; friendly and knowledgeable. Great location, easy walk to tourist attractions, restaurants and a mini supermarket. Only downside was no air conditioning, however there was a small window and a fan
Great place to stay if you don’t have a car. We had a car this time round, and the Wilson Parking attached to the hotel has only a few allocated spaces. Which means going up levels. Breakfast provided was very average. Otherwise, excellent location.
Very nice location at a very reasonable price.
Easy and clean
Convenient location.
The only problem with this property is that the only after hours access is via the Plimmer steps. This made it tricky when we came back after dinner on Saturday night to find the access to the lifts, locked! Mum was in a wheelchair so getting her up the stairs was a challenge, as going around to vehicle entrance wasn’t going to happen either. After that it was walk out via the vehicle entrance during the weekend and taxi back. This restricted our outings quite a bit. Otherwise the accomodation was great! Handy to lovely attractions and to the TSB arena for WOW show. Which btw was abundantly WOW.
Checkin Location at Level 7
It was a bit inconvenient for the checkin floor at level 7 while we arrived the place at the Main Street at lower ground. There is an elevator and glass gate but you need an entrance card to get in the lift and passed through the glass door. For those who have not yet checked in like us, you have to carry your large luggage to climb long staircase to reach the lift to check in floor.
Great location
Worth a stay
Fantastic location, very helpful staff, great king sized bed, decent bathroom
I was a mess. My flight had been turned back from Queenstown, I was feeling really I'll and the woman on reception was so kind. Also, my room service meal was great the chefs pasta was very filling and creme bruleea welcome treat.
Close to venue for concert, easy access
Keys dont work. Had to get it replaced 3 times. Wont work on lifts wont work for my room. Wasted a lot of time
It is what it says on the tin. Not flashy - but clean & comfortable. Decent iron, ironing board, & hairdryer. Slightly retro, not flashy, friendly as, a Wellington vibe.
Eco friendly hotel with easy access to public transport and attraction. Newly renovation but small room
Id like a return of the $50 held by you, to my Bank account. Thankyou Michael Truscott
Fantastic stay. Great room.
Awesome
We are a mother and daugher team and asked for rooms with a separate bed room and a lounge with a sofabed to ensure that 2 adults have separate rooms. This was suggested as per image provided. However, what we got was one room with a small sofa bed squeezed into the corner. Although it did not influence the quality of our stay it was somehow disappointing as we could have a twin bed room cheaper
Location was excellent.
Simple, comfortable and worth paying for the fantastic harbour view!
Exceeded expectations, was quiet, clean and comfy. Easy check in and check out process. Breakfast was nice and standard. Provided extra towels quickly when contacted. Would stay again.
They have not reversed deposit. I called and they say it takes a few day. A few days later they take another $50? Absolutely terrible place to stay
Very close to the city,
Convenient great staff
Awesome
Great staff and Hospitality.
Great staff and hospitality. Very convenient location for Wellington CBD and Michael Fowler Centre.
Good stay
Great location, clean & tidy room
Our stay was due to cancelled flts so we loved that we could drop off suitcases so we didnt have to cart them round all day- great price too as it was an unexpected cost. Lovely helpful knowledgable stafg
City Get Away
Great location, and service. Good shower. Was convenient for our trip, we also had a rental car, and the parking was good at this hotel Only negative was that the room was very hot all the time, we had to have the window open to cool it down to be more comfortable
The check in and checkout was quick and easy. Parking was great, and the property so covenient and close to where we needed to go. Would definetley stay there again.
Excellent location & staff. Alittle wear & tear but not an issue.
In the midst of the city!
Arrived early to check in and my room was ready, not expected but much appreciated. Room well appointed, clean and quiet. I will definitely return.
It was a perfect location
Great service by front desk. Very informative, pleasant and engaging. Loved the location of being in the inner city. Just 1 elevator ride and down some stairs and you are on one of the main inner city streets. Parking was easy - in the 'wilsons' parking building. You do have to pay approx $28 per night to park. Bathroom a bit dated and although clean, has mould in the grouting. Carpets properly need an upgrade soon. --- Was not put off by this as loved the location and it was clean. Reasonable rates for inner city stay. Would come back and would recommend to others.
As a mid-price, business hotel the TL is good. It is just that - nothing more, nothing less. It is looking a bit tired in the rooms and public areas but the staff do a great job with what they have.
Friendly staff, easy parking, great room
Really nice place really close to cbd
This is our second stay and again very happy with our stay. Had breakfast in the restaurant this time, fabulous food. On our next stay we plan to try the dinner options at their restaurant.
Handy location, close to train station
Staff friendly & helpful. Room was clean & comfortable but a bit small. Breakfast had good selection but not always topped up in a timely manner & not kept hot enough. As an Expedia VIP member I received a bottle of wine. It would have been nice if I could have chosen the type of wine as I don’t drink red.
Midprice hotel. Some issues, but I will return
Very central city Wellington location. We had a bigger room, which was welcome. Bathroom is a bit old-style and tired, but the room and bed were comfortable. Clearly issues with the lifts. There are two elevators for the hotel spread out over ~20 floors, used by customers and cleaning crew. To move around one needs to insert your room keycard, and in one lift the reader was very unreliable. Often found people travelling the floors trying to get the reader to work (this slows the system down more). Internet access essentially failed on our second night. That was frustrating. We stay here 1-2 times a year. Given the current typical pricing in Wellington it can be good value for money, comfortable enough, and a great location. I will be back. Lobby crew were very pleasant.
It is a hotel and is what we had expected except that the staff in the dinning room need training. When ordering chicken nibbles I had to ask for a finger bowl and I was given an empty bowl. He did not know what I wanted it for? The food was only average, the dessert base of the cheesecake cake was so hard it could not be cut with a knife and was solid frozen. Presentation of meals need to be improved if you want to increase your patronage and waiters need to be upskilled in the placement of food.
The bathroom looked like it needed a good scrub. Bed was super comfy
The rooms carpet is dirty and Looks like it was never cleaned for ages and it smells like urine
Central City, walking distance to waterfront and shops. Bed was really comfy and linen clean and fresh. Some stains on the carpet, general marks, wear & tear starting to show. Aircon vents needed to be cleaned.
The location was good for us, and the rooms were pretty clean regardless of their age/ tiredness. I had issues checking in and did not get the stated perk for a Hotels.com silver member. Breakfast was just okay.
I love the staff, they were great and friendly throughout. However, the room was a bit smelly, the bathroom bin didn’t have a bin bag, and I could hear the people on the floor above me open and close their drawers. I’m sure they could hear my alarm too.
Fantastic Hotel with wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Definitely recommend!
Cooked breakfast was cold.
Good value for money.
plenty of room . Convenient with microwave & fridge. Not too far to walk to main street. Buffet breakfast good.
Fabulous greeting from the gentleman on reception. Very knowledgeable of the local area. Talked us through their facilities Room clean and spacious.
