Our stay for a family of 4 at TownePlace Suites was enjoyable, and the location is extremely convenient. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. However, we did feel that the housekeeping could be improved, as the room had a slightly stuffy atmosphere upon arrival. Overall good hotel!

Excellent hotel. I really like it every time I go to SA I choose it. It is very well located and super clean. The only thing I don't like are his pillows. Too soft. For the rest I give him 5/5. Thank you

I was there for 5 days, I was only offered to have my room cleaned until the fifth day I was there.

This was not the first time I stayed at this property-the reason I return is because of the friendly staff, clean facility, convenience of shopping, safety of the area, and the marriott experience!

Right near a lot of entertainment venues, all within 10 minutes of driving.

Now property. But we are on a long distance travel and pulled off the road for an extra 1/2 day to work. The hotel’s WiFi is off line (and has been for days) which we were not told at check in. We spend 1 1:2 hour on the phone with someone who tried to tell us that there was a different issue when they could have rebooted the router and we could have gotten online. We are very disappointed and irritated with this. We lost a half day driving and were unable to work. Not ok. In this day and age internet is critical not optional.

The staff here is always great. Tons of food options within walking distance, while still being in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Decent stay. The pull out sofa had a ton of food crumbs in it when we let it out to make the bed.

The smell in the second floor was twrrible...someone is cooking and the smell was so bad

The hotel was filled with construction workers partying with loud music in the parking lot, common areas, hallways and some rooms. A prostitute kept slamming out room’s door looking for a guy. I called front desk and the issues didn’t stop until 2 p.m. I do not recommend this hotel for families with children.

Because of the hotel being pet-friendly the hallway of the second floor smelled like animal and kind of like animal waste.

The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen area was great, staff was friendly. Breakfast was average and the shower leaked and made a puddle on the bathroom floor. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!

Had to wait 30 minutes to check on because nobody was at the desk or would answer the phone. This also made me feel unsafe because nobody was near the entrance door and people were walking in and out

The bedding for the sofa bed was not clean. Hot breakfast was a bit over cooked. Nice location and comfortable bed.

One of the best places I have ever stayed in San Antonio and I’ve been to a lot. Now I don’t have to look further. I have found the place I’ll stay.

Staff was friendly but professional. The rooms were large and equipped with more appliances than I expected. It just had a homey feel.

This is easily my favorite place to stay in SA. The staff is always super accommodating and nice. Rooms are clean. The area is safe. Tons of food options within a five minute walk.

The hotel is brand new and their staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay, with the exception of the ongoing construction noise next door.

Very clean and comfortable, breakfast was really calm and nice, room was very clean, space was efficient —- there was an unknown humming in the bathroom but not a super big deal — not sure what ‘incidentals’ mean when paying $20 but hopefully that money should be reimbursed

It is a very quiet and convenient location with plenty of dining options in the area. There are also some shopping options available. What I did not like is that although I requested it twice, in different days, I had no housekeeping service during my whole stay.

The staff was friendly & the room was clean & spacious. The property was located near an upscale commercial area with a number of restaurants & stores.

It has great location and the staff was very accommodating.

All is very nice in room and staff is exceptional. My shower won’t change from a jet spray to a normal spray. Oh, well. Bathroom spotless!

I wanted to like this place because it’s very convenient to dining and six flags. Staff was super nice and it’s new. But I had to take off a star since the AC was set on the floor and to blow forward not up, this ensured one person was always freezing and trying to sleep having the loud ac constantly blowing on them. Secondly they had a big fireplace going outside in the middle of a Texas summer. I mean this is just crazy wasteful and environmentally unfriendly. I asked them to switch off and they said it’s policy to keep it on. Yeah. 95 degrees outside and they are burning a fire pit. So dropped a star for that too.

Excellent Stay

Our experience was great!! We will definitely stay here again!

Everything was great. I very much enjoyed my stay. I always try and choose a Marriott hotel when traveling. The only negative comment I have is that one of the pillows in my room had a black stain on it and the spare pillow in the closet seemed as if it had been used and not changed so I put both those pillows to the side but other than that things were clean and neat all around.

Was hoping to be impressed

Bad first impression. While hotel is in a very nice location in town and it's a fairly new hotel, our first impression of room cleanliness left us in disappointment. The issue was that the sheets in the bed had not be changed from prior usage. There was plenty of human hair from previous occupier left behind. The room could have been cleaned better. Additionally, shower design was awkward, leaving the main bathroom floor wet since there was no shower door. Shower head was awful as well. The good was the prompt attention to correct the issue by the shift manager. Another plus was the breakfast and the dinning area. Check in staff were also pleasant and professional. Overall, I'd recommend better attention to detail for cleanliness to ensure visitors enjoy their stay. First impressions always make a difference.

We have stayed her multiple times. Convenient location when we are in town. Plenty of dining and shopping options in the area. They had a security guard walking the parking lot during the night. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Easy check in and check out.

The property was rather new. Shower design was modern, but didn’t have a shower door so it was cold. And water got all over the bathroom floor.

This is my go-to hotel for when I stay in San Antonio for work. Beautiful room, great staff, and a really awesome free breakfast. My one complaint was that apparently the person in the room before me had had a dog and there was dog hair coating the desk chair and desk which gave me really bad allergies even after I cleaned it up.

Location in a nice area

We really enjoyed our stay. The small kitchen area was great and well stocked. The only thing I missed was a hot tub. I would stay here again.

The hotel looks new and fresh everywhere. It provides kitchen supplies with very detailed items such as the wash sponge. The location is in walking distance to the Rim shopping stores. Highly recommended!

Great Weekend Stay

As always, this hotel and staff go above and betond. We def return in the future.

This is an absolutely beautiful property, especially if you're on a budget or, as in my case, traveling for business. It's a The rooms are cozy, yet modern and gorgeously designed. The one I stayed in was the smaller room, but still had a full kitchen and the largest closet I've ever seen in a hotel room. Everything was thoughtfully designed to be extremely functional so the room feels much bigger than it is. I simply couldn't have been happier. The staff were all pleasant and happy. If you imbibe, there is a bar downstairs with drink specials from 5pm to 10pm. And a delicious free breakfast every morning that offers a wide array of selections to fit any diet. Also, the property is within a short walking distance from restaurants, as well as a huge variety of stores. I highly recommend TownePlace Suites by Marriott.

The property is clean as it is new. There is construction right in front. The noise is not even coming from that though but from floor up above. Kids at room above were running up until late at night and we could hear every step and thud. Seems like the floors are not well insulated or padded if that’s the term

Our experience

The only issue we did have was that we had booked weeks ahead of time kind beds for all the couples and we ended up with queen rooms (for the same price). We were not pleased by the last minute notice as we didn’t find out until we reached our rooms. We then went downstairs to say we had gotten the wrong rooms, when the front desk person said that they ran out of king rooms. We were very upset about that. I was confused on how that could be possible when we booked it. The stay at this hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at overall and we’ve stayed at plenty. It was so clean, bathrooms were spacious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the tv had netflix which we enjoyed.

I really appreciated that the hotel had night time security sitting at the entrance. I didn’t have to worry about my car getting broken into.

Stayed the night with my girlfriend and it was great and all but the bathroom mirror light didn’t work and the bathtub had hair from the previous people who stayed :(

This was an excellent location near shopping, interstate, and walking paths. Pool was nice. Gym was fantastic with a new rower, kettlebells, and soft plot boxes. Very well done for a hotel gym.

2 day stay.

Front desk workers were amazing. Check in & check out. Very nice. The lady that was in charge of breakfast was amazing. Hotel was very clean. Very close to many restaurants and stores.

My family enjoyed the area in which the hotel was located. Many shops and restaurants to go to as well as Fiesta Texas down the road.

I reserved 2 Queen Beds, once I arrived there was not room able with 2 QB, and they decided to give me a single King Bed, and a sofa-bed which was very uncomfortable.
