Great place

This was a lovely hotel. We ended up having a roll in shower because it was the last suite available. It would have been nice to know that there were no normal suites. Normally it would have been okay, but they need to have curved shower curtains for these showers. The shower curtain kept sticking to us so we had to leave it open to shower. Bed was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was great. Breakfast was full of options and well put out. Overall this was a great place for a one night stay in Amarillo

The TV software was extremely slow and made using and switching channels. Very frustrating.. other than the TV the hotel room and the property itself was fine.

The hotel was really nice, you could tell it was new. The rooms were great, comfy beds, great air conditioner and kitchen. Really enjoyed our short stay.

TownePlace Suites was the perfect place to stop during our travels. Excellent value. Nice studio room, large bathroom and very quiet location. Pet friendly, there were plenty of nice grassy areas outside with dog stations to dispose of any waste. Will be staying here again for sure!

Great newer hotel. Very clean. Fabulous breakfast! Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, bagels, muffins, jimmy dean breakfast biscuits, fruit, yogurt and more! The only minor complaint I had was the beds are super hard and the bathroom lighting is very dim for us ladies trying to put on makeup. It could use an overhead light for sure. I would stay here again for sure though,

Nice

My fiancé and I had a great experience at TownePlace Suites. The hotel overall was great quality for a great price. The only qualm was that the areas where you exit the hotel and get onto the service road were very steep possibly due to construction.

We travel through Amarillo, TX to Denton, TX every 3-4 months on business. We like to stay at this hotel because it close to restaurants and gas stations. Most important, we feel safe here and it's comfortable and quite.

Breakfast was warm and plentiful, coffee and choices were better than average 😋

Good hotel! shady area

The room was comfortable and what you would expect from this tier of hotel. My biggest gripe for this hotel is the location. This property is a newer property surrounded by run down motels. There were loiterers constantly around the area. The parking lot was very well lit and ample. Thankfully nothing happened to our vehicle but we were worried about it.

Not a good stay

We chose this hotel because of the high customer ratings and we were so disappointed with our stay. Check in time was 3:00pm but the room wasn’t ready until 4:30pm. I requested a suite on an upper floor and was put on the first floor near the exit. So, I had people coming and going and hanging out right outside our window smoking and drinking. That made it uncomfortable to open our window shades. A large part of the carpet was wet, for some reason. The light in the bedroom flickered constantly and was useless. Some outlets in both rooms were about 7 feet off the floor and I had to stand on the fold out bed to plug in my CPAP. There was a lower outlet, however as soon as the couch was folded out, it covered the outlet. I enjoy my morning coffee and was upset to find the coffee pot had not been cleaned and had scorched coffee on the bottom. The area around the sink had not been cleaned either. I always check the bedroom areas for bed bugs and I did not find any evidence. However, I found that it had apparently been a long time since the area close to the bed and end tables had been vacuumed. On the positive side, the area was well lit and the property was clean. The breakfast was nice and the decor was modern, but still welcoming. Overall, the negatives, way outweighed the positives. We go through Amarillo all the time and we all decided to never stay here again.

I love the welcoming environment in the lobby area. All the staffs were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean.

The King bed suite with full kitchen and modern furniture exceeded our expectations. Very convenient location as transiting and dining options to us.

The room was very spacious and nice, especially for the price. Staff was friendly. Pool and hot tub were nice. The outdoor seating area was nice with the fire pit and grills. Only complaint was the front of the building faces a sketchy looking hotel, but we didn’t see anyone sketchy looking.

Closeness to the airport and dining was easy to get to.

Hotel Stay

The location was great. About 10 minutes from the airport. Granted Amarillo is a small city. The hotel was clean and beautiful. Hotel is pet friendly but was so well kept that you couldn’t even tell. My only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable and the shower pressure was low.

Stopped at last minute because of storm. Check in was quick. Rooms were big and kitchenette was very nice. Had never stayed at this hotel brand before. Was extremely pleased.

Hidden gem

This is a great hotel. It’s just behind a couple of other less than spectacular hotels but this is a hidden gem. The rooms are spacious, modern and super clean. The staff is wonderful. We didn’t make breakfast because we all slept so comfortably. We’ll be staying here for our next stay in Amarillo!

We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest the breakfast have longer hours. I would suggest a shower head that can adjust so the water does not spray on the floor, causing a slippery floor. I would suggest a second grab bar closer to the actual shower.

For the most part we enjoyed our visit. It was a very clean hotel. The breakfast was really good and it was kept stocked all the way up until it was supposed to close. We asked for no housekeeping (we stayed 4 nights) and they were gracious when we exchanged out dirty towels for clean towels. We only had 2 mishaps that prevented us from giving a full 5 stars. When I walked into the lobby to check in, the desk clerk asked in a very curt voice, "Checking in?" I said yes and she immediately said, "I need your ID." I had only walked two steps into the lobby. I was really far away from the desk, so if I did get out my ID when she asked, I would be holding it while walking the distance from the door to the desk. One of the days we stayed it snowed, so we turned the temperature up on the thermostat. The heater did not turn on. We called the front desk and were told someone would come up. No one ever came up. I mentioned it to the desk clerk when I checked out. Instead of apologizing, she asked, "Did you push both buttons?" I said yes and she just shrugged her shoulders. I was expecting at least an apology for no one coming up to our room, but I just got the shrugged shoulders.

Entire hotel was extremely neat and clean. I had never seen a hotel that had a BBQ available, along with utensils and seasonings! Very impressive! And I saw a staff member cleaning the grill the next morning! Bed was super comfortable and the room was spotless.

Excellent new hotel. This was perfect and may become our new stop over spot when traveling thru Amarillo.

Stopped for a night on a road trip. Stayed at other hotels in Amarillo in the past and this is better than the others. Modern, clean and spacious.

The hotel itself was clean and well kept. Our problem came during check in. I was told that Expedia overbooked their rooms, so we were being upgradred to a suite. This sounded nice until we learned that it was just an extra sitting room, but with a queen size bed. When I made the reservation months ago, I specifically chose a king size bed. I didn't make a big deal about it, though. We were issued our room key. When we went to the assigned room, someone already had their personal items in the room. The front desk staff seemed surprised when we went down and told them, but saw where they accidently shared the room. Annoying, but not a big deal. We were issued another room and the same thing happened. Someone had their items already in the room. The shocked front desk staff said that it was the cleaning crew, who hadn't finished the room yet. We checked in after 3 p.m., so we were not early. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to be issued another room key, which finally worked for us. It was close to 4 p.m. before we were able to go to our room and we had things planned to go to immediately after check in. The staff were kind about the entire situation, but it was still a frustrating experience.

All staff were friendly and accommodating; front desk staff especially. Rooms were well-stocked, clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet had great options, hot and cold. It was pretty windy when we stayed and a section of the outside "wallpaper" had come off. There is some freeway noise and the roads getting to the hotel have pot holes. We've stayed there twice now and it is our favorite place for a longer stay..

We had a great stay. Warm and welcoming staff exceeded our expectations. It’s just too bad it’s shoved between hotels. This one is clearly the newer and nicer place to stay of the bundle. Other than weird location we lived it.

It’s a clean place, especially considering we didn’t know they allow pets. Front staff very friendly. Pool was not that great. Lots of options for breakfast and kept it full til the time they say it’s over. We appreciate the board games that you can borrow.

Perhaps not about the property but about the front desk woman who was near the end of her shift when I arrived. I presented my driver's license and she informed me that in my haste before leaving my home in south Texas, I had indeed booked a room BUT it was for the following weekend. She located another room for me for that night. Luckily I had paid for the reservation using my debit card and she informed me that that made it a lot easier. I was lucky. Lucky I'd paid for the room with mt debit card and luckier because of her understanding and helpfulness. She represents you well. I'll be staying at a Marriott property again when I travel.

This place was so clean to the point that it was sparkling. The cleaning staff doesnt mess around. The check in was smooth and friendly. You can tell they *actually* clean because it smells CLEAN. Highly recommend for families!

They put us on the first floor right on the parking lot, and Cars and Trucks arriving and leaving all night long. So, we could not sleep. that was terrible since we were traveling from Denver - CO to Austin - TX, and we were really looking for a good night of sleep.

We have stayed at this brand of hotel before, not to mention lots of hotels over our 40 year marriage, I was awakened by running jumping sound just above us at 2:20 am, we had to be up at 5am I finally called the front desk at about 4am on my cell because the phone in the room didn’t work, she said sending security up, it stopped for about 20 min and still continued! No compensation no sorry, we will never stay at that hotel again.

Best hotel in Amarillo

I’ve had to stay at several hotels in Amarillo recently and this is easily the best quality for the money. I was surprised at how pristine this place is, like easily 100% more effort put into this place than every other hotel I stayed at in Amarillo by far.

Very nice hotel appeared to be a newer hotel. Room was very clean comfortable bed. Very quiet. Very good breakfast lots of choices would highly recommend

We had an awesome experience! The hotel was clean and we had amazing and friendly service. Only down fall was the indoor pool water was freezing cold. We expected it to be a decent temperature being an indoor pool.

Great hotel!

This is a great hotel and in a perfect location. It is walking distance to a coupe of restaurants. It seemed very clean. The only complaint I have is that they use a HVAC air freshener. It smells great, but was WAY too strong!! Anyone who suffers from asthma will have a hard time with this strong of a smell. It even came into the room from under the door. Also know that this is a pet friendly hotel, so if you are allergic to animals, your allergies might act up. Otherwise a perfect stay!
