We really enjoyed our stay at this property

The swimming pool was great. The receptionist / owner was friendly and helpful.

Spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped, in a beautiful location. The pool and hot spa were fantastic too.

Great value for money, pool &spa is fantastic as is the location to beach, skatepark and shopping. The owners clearly take pride in creating and maintaining quality accommodation. Will definitely stay there again.

Clean, the property was clean

Our family of four stayed for three nights, all went very well. Our only complaint would be a level of road noise, and that can be reduced by closing windows and using air con, but we prefer fans and fresh air. Quiet within the complex, including neighbouring doors, we did not hear them closing at all, nor any conversation from other units. Lovely glimpses of the beach, great location for walking to town beach or town. We would stay again.

Beach Comber resort was in a great location! Check in was easy the staff were all friendly and the apartment was fabulous. We stayed in the two bedroom unit which was massive. Great ammenities too. The pool was awesome as it was heated and spotless. We would definitely stay again.

The place had its good and bad. air con only in living area not the bedrooms which i wish they would be more specific about and with only venetian blinds it was quite hot inside. also the toilet was ridiculous in our room - it was tiny and it was jammed right against the wall so you had to sit side saddle if you were bigger than a size 10 everything else was pretty good but be warned - the bit about not having a lift - that translated into lugging suitcases up 4 flights of stairs - so basically if you are extremely skinny and very fit you should enjoy your stay immensely! comfy beds, comfy sofa and a big tv with foxtel!

Very quiet and close to the skate park, town beach and coastal walk. Beautiful tropical gardens set the scene perfectly.

Everything was clean, well presented, secure parking, good view, great place to stay at port for a very reasonable price.

Beachcomber accomodation is fantastic. Everything about it was perfect. Very clean and comfy, great service and great location. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is great too. We loved it and will be going back. Thanks for a great holiday.

We only stayed one night (wish it was longer!) but will continue to choose this resort for future stays. It was extremely clean - the rooms, the pool, the BBQ area, the grounds. Whilst it is not a new build and doesn't have super sleek appliances it is in fantastic condition and has everything you need for an excellent stay. It is close to the beach and town centre and the pool is lovely with a nice little shallow area for the kids.

Great location

The unit was self contained and had everthing one needs, washer, drier, lounge and kitchen. I found the bed too soft for me. 3 minute walk to beach and bowls club and 10 minute walk to shopping centre. I will stay here again

Very spacious accommodation with premium tv channels, only downside you would need to put aircon on in winter as apartments were cold on night we stayed, but I would still stay again.

Disappointing

We booked accommodation with a hot tub and an apartment with a spa. Unfortunately the water in the hot tub was not hot on any of the three days we were there. The spa bath in our room emitted clumps of knotted hair through the jets when turned on. Reception was locked when we checked out at 8.30am and therefore we were unable to pass on our feedback. The setting of the pool, hot tub, BBQ area and gardens was lush and idyllic.

Great Location, walking distance to everything and

Was there for a wedding so made the most of it with a few nights stay.... Great location, the Lagoon area was great and BBQ facilities there came in handy... Legs got a work out :)

Affordable accommodation close to the beach.

Comfortable unit but prepare for lots of stairs. Foxtel channels very disappoining and the dvd i brought up showed in black and white. Pool while lovely is not heated and the spa is not heated until after midday in winter so we couldn't use it in the morning. Carpark uses a key not a swipe card so can be tricky getting in and out. Overall generally satisfied but a later checkout would be nice.

Location Location Location

This accommodation was used for a two night stay for work and the guys said that the place was great and located in a great spot.

Excellent sized apartment and lounge and beds very comfortable.

Awesome location

Very pleasantly surprised, arrived after a long drive and the staff at front desk were so warm and welcoming and opening the door to our apartment was great. Everything was immaculate and very comfortable beds. The location made it so easy to park the car and walk everywhere. Would recommend this property to anyone, especially families.

Roomy and comfortable

Excellent apartment - large and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Heated towel rails a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Receptionist, Amy, was very friendly and helpful. Very well set out unit. Close to the main beach, a Bowling Club and many Restaurants. A short ten minute walk to the Centre of Town.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, 2min walk to beach. We also made use of the pool and the spa was good for the cooler days. The apartment was a good size and had all the amenities we needed.

Relaxing 5 night holiday

So many accommodation choices in Port but will definitely return here. Short walk to Town Beach then easy stroll along the break-wall into town. Found myself delayed getting into Port before the 6pm check in, but a quick call to Reception had Amy send a text with clear instructions of how to retrieve my room key from the after-hours safe. Secure undercover car parking. Apartment well equipped with air conditioner in living area as well as ceiling fans throughout, washing machine and dryer. Great cooking facilities including stovetop, microwave and brand new oven. Property has an inviting pool with a BBQ area at either end of the pool. Overall a well maintained property. Quite easy to spend more time at the apartment than at the beach or exploring the town. A very relaxed and enjoyable stay.

Spacious room, good location.

It was good. Close to the beach. Had a lovely pool. Very close to a good breakfast place (The Milk Bar) and good restaurant (Scampi's). 3 or 4 blocks to the CBD with pubs and eateries.

Large apartment in town

Plenty of space and a good kitchen for the three of us. While a little dated, beds and lounges were comfortable and the location was terrific to walk to town beach and into town

Great self catered stop.

I stayed for 3 nights. Easy check in and out. Excellent kitchen and bathroom/laundary facilities. Great position for walking access to shopping/dining precincts. Didn't use the pool or BBQ areas, but they looked clean and more than adequate. Would stay here again.

Fabulous time great beaches and walking tracks

Beautiful outlook

Great apartment styled accommodation where you can recoup, have privacy and relax in the lush pool, which has a beautiful outlook. Suitable for families and couples, as I had infants it was a tad more difficult to manoeuvre the stairs, but part and parcel of holidays. Had a lovely stay and felt the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Apartment close to the beach

The self contained apartment is close to the beach and about 10-15 minutes walk to the town center. There are two shared bbq area, spa pool, swimming pools and a kids paddling pool. However, there is no elevator and only have two access doors from the units to the garage.

Relaxing break

The place was comfortable. It was a studio unit but roomy for 2 people. Staff were quick to comply with our requests. Very helpful and nice people.

To many "warnings"

We found it difficult to relax a this hotel, as everywhere you looked there were notices reminding you of the the financial penalties you would incur if you for example " let cigarette smoke into the room"....... " the blinds are "sensitive" etc..... We didn't want to touch anything as we were scared of the financial implications.......As such, we won't be returning. Also, the cleaner didn't rinse the soap from the kitchen/ bathroom tiles. This was careless and dangerous as the tiles were incredibly slippery..

Perfect stay

Really enjoyed our stay. The suite was very bright and had a view of the ocean and town. The kitchenette had every thing we needed to prepare basic meals. The property is very quiet and we easily walked to town.

Holiday

Looking forward to our few days away, was a pleasant stay but for room described as deluxe i was expecting a lot more. Fittings a little old & tired looking in Bathroom, ( Shower Head so far in corner of Spa Bath very hard to have a shower) Room needs more Detailed Cleaning, Cupboards Draws & locks need maintenance, Dishes & Cutlery had to be rewashed, Air Conditioner (not very Cold, would hate to be in room on a very HOT day) Road noise late at night, Pool hours not adhered to, WIFI drop in & out so many times very frustrating . Fridge was a good size & Cold ,Lounge very comfortable, Beds were Great. TV Very large. Location to Beach & Town was great.

Recommend - great location

Location is super convenient - right opposite Town Beach and the coastal walk. Able to easily walk to restaurants etc in the town. Pool is great - especially for little kids with a shaded infants section. Overall rooms are quite spacious and relatively modern. 2 outdoor BBQ set ups also available Enjoyed our stay

Great Location, Spacious Room

Only stayed 2 nights as it was spur of the moment weekend away, but so glad we found this place. Arrived 9pm so used the lockbox option for check-in which was easy. Walked in to a very spacious 2 bed apartment that had everything we needed, especially the most comfortable bed & pillows ever! The next morning we found the location to be ideal, across the road to the beach and cafes & walking distance to town centre. Will definitely be coming back to stay and will ensure its for longer next time.

Great Management Team!

Definitely On Next Year's List The Beachcomber The couple, that are running this hotel are absolutely superb. This husband and wife team are two of the nicest and warmest folks you will ever meet. Their three adorable children serve as a reminder of what a wholesome family should be about. If it were not for this family I might have let the fact that there was no stovetop (as advertised) be the deciding factor in rating this hotel but this couple was so nice and accommodating (and provided me with a deep fryer) that I soon let this pass. The hotel room was spacious and had two balconies; one had a nice view of the ocean and Town Beach Park while the other featured a city view. The amenities were nice, the hot water and pressure was unbelievable. You can use water straight from the tap for tea, no boiling necessary. The bed was comfortable and it was nice having a couch. The room is slightly dated but clean nonetheless. The television was below average and the channels were limited. The internet kicks you out a lot but when it works, it is above average for Australia. The grounds were well kept, especially the pool area. A barbecue area is provided and I liked the assigned parking spot. Room 17 was terrific as is the hotel’s location. You can park your car and walk to the beach in two minutes or be in the center of town in ten. I highly recommend The Beachcomber!

Beautiful two night stopover

Had a really lovely stay in the middle of winter. Very comfortable bed and kitchen had every single thing we needed. Only criticism is we ran out of hot water after filling the bath 1/3. Thankyou for having us.

Good accommodation.

Accommodation was clean & neat. Location was good. Pool area looked lovely although we couldn't use it as the weather was too cold. We would stay again.

It is basic accommodation. Clean and tidy but nothing makes it outstanding. Therefore priced well as it was relatively cheap. Simple.

Great family hotel

Perfect for the family get away, love access to kitchen and laundry in our room makes it easy to keep holiday affordable and fun

Convenient

This is our second time we've stayed at this place. It is convenient because it's walking distance to the beach and shops/cafes/restaurants/activities. The room was comfortable, spacious and close to the pool/spa being on the ground level. We had a spacious balcony too.

Great accomm across from Town Beach

We had a great week stay at the Beachcomber. Fabulous large pool, walking distance to beach and Port City Bowls. Accommodation could be updated but provided everything you new including washing machine and dryer

Nice hotel close to the beach

Stayed here overnight in a two bedroom apartment. Well appointed clean and tidy 1st floor unit overlooking pool area. Wish the weather had been better so we could enjoy the pool! Security parking easy to access.

Close to airport

Hotel staff were very helpful and lovely. Room was comfortable and spacious, and not too noisy considering its proximity to the airport.

Spacious and Quiet

Good value for money, comfortable and convenient. Overall clean, but let down by extremely dirty rangehood over the stove (grease was dripping from it) and a stained shower curtain.

Unfortunately the 4 sets of stairs to walk up with our luggage did not start us off well - not suitable for older people

Disappointed

We were excited & looking forward to our stay in the "one bedroom deluxe spa apartment" The apartment we stayed in required repairs and thorough cleaning (bathroom was filthy with built up mould and grime) and alongside this our spa was broken. If there was proactive attention to maintenance issues and an overall update to the apartment (it was extremely outdated and very basic for how much was paid to stay there) our stay would have been more pleasant.
