This property was amazing! It was a nice getaway and all of the amenities were worth it. I would definitely stay here again and the hospitality is top tier.
Great place and the vibe is amazing
Loved this hotel!!
Location is great
Quiet elegance
This hotel is just what i was looking for. The room waa a great size with a flow to it to was really well thought out. The sound isolation between rooms isn't wondeful but it wasn't bad enough to be a deal breaker. I would happily stay here again! The staff were at the ready to help in any way they could.
Bad customer service
Made the reservation weeks before, when we we showed up an hour after check in our room still wasnt ready therefore they made me pay $70 more to get a room that minute. We had no other options as we had a time schedule and a show to get too. Never have a had to deal with that at any hotel. Also manager informed us the $70 would not be charged for their skrew up and we were charged anyway.
Small but nice and comfortable. Shower/toilet combo was awkward but okay. Parking should be included or st least discounted for staying at hotel
Excellent choice, walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. Great location. Hotel is really cool
Nice environment
Cute room and awesome location
The room was very loud. Seemed like the walls are very thin as I could hear everything from the hallway and the rooms next to me.
For the price, stay at the JW
For $1,600 CAD for 3 nights I was expecting a much better hotel. Our TV was broken, the room layouts are terrible, and the rooftop pool is part of a city wide pool membership program making it impossible to use the amenities.
Overall, we were happy enough that we stayed here but we wouldn’t stay here again most likely if we returned. The staff was wonderful, and the location was convenient, and the facilities were all great. The only thing I’ll say for location is you are right off of 6th street which is sort of like bourbon street, though the noise was never a problem for us. The reason for three overall stars is just that the room design was very strange and made for a somewhat uncomfortable stay. The bathroom isn’t really a bathroom, there’s like a tiny rectangle glass box in the corner of the room, the glass is iced so you can’t really see through it but that holds just the toilet and a standing shower. Outside of that, but within the main part of the room, is the sink. It’s awkward because the only place to really put stuff down is where the sink is so you always just feel kind of cramped and cluttered. Also if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you’ll either have to be in complete darkness or turn the overhead room light on since there is no bathroom light. The room was pretty but it felt like they tried so hard to make it as minimalist as possible that it really took away from it.
Great service !
Excellent stay
Great location
Green space for pets would be nice
Great staff! First time here, did a staycation for my birthday. Will look to do it again next year! Love the indoor simulator, the arriba/abajo restaurant is awesome. Complimentary birthday shots and drinks when you check in added to the stay. And birthday cookies/water when we got to our room. Excellent service from Valet, front desk, restaurant.
The hotel is well decorated and presents an agreeable front. The diner excellent and exceptional with a great breakfast and very service minded staff!!! The rooms are quirky but unfortunately very badly insulated noise wise. I had to call the front desk 2 a.m. to remind a guest next door that he wasn't the only person in the hotel. The fact that I could hear him is a great pity. I was jetlagged and tried to get back to sleep unsuccessfully. Please amend this strategic error.
Amazing staff! Excellent service at all departments!
Great hotel and great location
Great hotel and great location. Rooms and hotel both well appointed. Location is fantastic. Will stay again
Beautiful place. Friendly helpful staff. Clean unique room.
Wonderful stay. Food and ambience was great. Only negative was the size of the room. I felt like the bathroom was connected to the bedroom with no real privacy. Other than that, this hotel is exceptional
Awesome property & location
Tommie Austin was really cool for the price! Super clean, right next to 6th street so lots to do, easy uber from the airport, nice pool, fun NYE party, & gym/game room was very clean and fully equipped. My only dislike of this stay was the layout of the room. There was very little counter space, as well as, zero hooks or towel bars for the post-shower towel drying. Also, there was a weird cracking sound that would happen every hour from the AC. I'm not sure if it was just a renovated room that didn't get finished or what, but those were just a couple inconveniences. All and all for the price the Tommie was very nice and I would recommend it! Thanks!
Lovely hotel with super professional and friendly staff. The room was small and nicely appointed given the space but… Door did not close when swinging shut Small chair and desk with no outlets close by requiring a chord stretched across walking area Chair had a coat hook on the back, which due to size of kept catching on me, while walking by Same for droor handles at bottom end of bed, banged my ankles a couple of times due to limited walk space. Anyway, super nice hotel, recommend larger room or reconfiguration of smaller room. No free outlets next to bed
The room is super tiny, common in downtown Austin just be mentally prepared!
Amazing. Love the art work. It was a pleasure to stay
Clean and nice on site bar
I didn’t like it so close to 6th street so on the weekends when the streets are closed it’s very hard to get to
Very friendly staff and always made sure we were doing great!
It was okay. I expected there to be room service but there wasnt, had to ask for replacement towels. We had to use a bunch to cleanup the water that leaks from the shower/water closet onto the floors. The ventilation system is very noisy. Otherwise front desk and valet teams were friendly, diner was superbusy, coffee shop was overpriced, the Arriba Abajo restaurant that shares the pool level looked very nice
The property is very nice and clean. The modern design is a bit odd. The bathroom shower and toilet share the same floor. No separation. The shower water was luke warm for a good 15 minutes before becoming hot. I would stay there again for one night.
Really cool place and super convenient
Quick check in
Great staff, clean room, great location.
The staff was very friendly check in to check out. The hotel was stylish, safe and clean. We had actually left an item in our room. Security held it for us until we returned to town to pick it up. They were very polite and helpful.
The property has a great vibe. Bars, pool, gym and coffee bar are great! The rooms are so dark, very hard to do your make-up. I booked two rooms on one reservation, one room was not ready by the check-in time. We had a wedding event to get ready for so this was a major inconvenience. Also, booking two rooms together you’d assume we’d be on the same floor, nope, two floors apart this was also after requesting the rooms to be near each other. The hotel is generally very clean, in our shower there was a clump of hair upon arrival. Overall not terrible but could be better.
Great location!
Excellent location and service!
My stay at The Tommi was overall pleasant, but there were a few factors that prevented me from giving it a full 5-star rating. First, while the gym looked impressive and well-equipped, there were a couple of issues. The beverage machine, which seemed like a nice touch, had no available drinks when I tried to purchase anything—three options were out of stock. Additionally, the phones in the gym didn’t work. I tried two different ones, and neither were operational, which could be a problem if someone needed assistance while working out. Another point of frustration was the hair dryer request. I asked for one to be brought to the shower area, but the process was needlessly complicated. I had to go through the reservation system to contact the front desk, and after being told one would be sent, I waited 30 minutes without any delivery. Finally, there was a sign advertising on-site activities for guests, which sounded like a great perk. However, when we inquired about where to meet for the activities, we were directed to the location but not informed that they were not happening that day. This lack of communication was disappointing, especially since it was one of the reasons we were excited about our stay. Overall, The Tommi has a lot of potential, and with a few adjustments, it could be an excellent choice for travelers in Austin. However, these small but important details affected the experience, and I hope the hotel addresses them for future guests.
Hotel was very nice and clean . Staff was great .
I'd stay here again.
Really nice hotel in a great location. They were supposed to text me when the room was ready and it never happened, so I ended up not checking in until late. Also the room fridge didn't work. Minor details though.. really cool rooftop bar.
Excellent stay! Staff was amazing. Highly recommend.
Good style and music…
Fantastic location! Great restaurants/bars in the hotel. Friendly, attentive staff. Would definitely stay again.
Extremely trendy.
Great vibe and location. Pleasant stay all around.
Great hotel with cool decorations, had a lovely stay as well rooms where very comfortable
Bathroom was too small and tight.
Great stay, beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Will definitely be back!
One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had ! Staff are friendly, kind and went out of their way from the minute we checked in. The restaurant on the 4th floor was 10/10 for food and drinks. Nikki the server was so amazing. She went out of her way for us !!! Room was clean. Service was top notch. We went for ACL and it was a short walk to the pick up area for the buses to the venue. Check out the pool ! Short walk to fun restaurants off site but honestly the on site bar was perfect for after festival drinks.
All great 👍
Trendy hotel glamping.
The Tommie is trendy, cute but small; comparable to glamping, except in a hotel. Rooms are quaint but well decorated. Access to 6th street is easy. Nightime views of the city from the rootop bar/restaurant are worth the extra small sleeping space.
This hotel was first class. The view was amazing from the room to the pool area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was plenty fun things to do/experience on the property. The food/drinks were great. Overall great and smooth experience staying here. I will book here again next time I visit Austin.
I had hair in the sink when I came in. I was disappointed from the cleaning
Inflated valet charge $63.87
Place looks nice, have a good lounge/pool area. Heads up on their valet charge $63.87 per day!
Beautiful property with great pool area.
very chic hotel, right in the heart of the city...clean, and quiet at night. the restaurant and pool area were fantastic - Id stay again for those 2 reasons. The staff was excellent, we had an issue with our rental car not starting and they assisted us within 1/2 hour and got us on our way. Nice people, great hotel
Great location for getting to 6th Street. Friendly tip- the police shut down many streets near the hotel making navigation and parking challenging.
Our stay at tommie Austin was great. The staff at the hotel are extremely hospitable and attentive to guests. Our room (Corner King) was clean, bright and efficient. Very modern in design. The Bluetooth player alarm clock and chromecast capabilities on the tv were nice touches as well. Only thing to note is that the hotel is located less than a block from 6th St and we were there on a weekend… lots of sirens and noise throughout the night. It was not bothersome to us but might be to some so worth mentioning. To mitigate, the hotel provides ear plugs *wink*. Overall, I recommend tommie for a stay in Austin. Keep it weird.
Very good location, clean and very walkable. Would have liked to have a better coffee maker in the room.
The hotel is great but the area is super noisy and borderline. The bars are blasting music till the wee hours of the morning and there are way too many people that drink too much. There are also some bums but the hotel has its own security guard that does a great job. We were there during a special event weekend so maybe it would be better normally. The roof top pool made up for everything though. You can get good food and good cocktails brought to you by the pool side. The prices are very reasonable.
.
The property was amazing. The amenities and staff were superb but the room size was entirely too small to enjoy.
Property was very clean, bed was comfortable and so were pillows, staff was very friendly, hotel room was small but adequate, great location for access to local entertainment/comedy/music/resturants. Escooters in the area made ut easy to get around if you were tired of walking. Drinks were very expensive and we were over charged at the pool bar which i am still trying to reconcile. Tile work around the outdoor pool were very slippery and there wasnt any signage that i saw that warned us of that. My wife fell getting out of the pool moments after we checked in so booze wasnt and issue. Lol. We learned to be careful around the pool and not to order too many drinks. 4 double drinks costed me as of now $175 canadian. Fighting to get $30 back as they must have punched in wrong tip so shpuld have been $135 which is still crazy as it was only bombay gin. Overall it was a great stay with a few minor details but we would definitely stay again just a live learn moment for us.
Great little room if you are in town for work and don’t plan on being in your room most of the time. Only downside is that you have to valet your car.
Very nice classy and walking distance
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean, modern, smelled so good, and staff was very attentive to our needs. Indoor and outdoor bar area super fun! Love the decor! Rooms were super cute! Thank you!
I know its not profitable but leaving an alternative parking guide would be really nice :)
Really nice and convenient
.
Overall good!
Was a quick trip but all was ok. We just stayed here a few weeks ago and we came back b/c the room actually got cold and you could make the fan on the a/c run continuously (which you often can't do in hotels). This room would not let us turn it down below 68 and it was warmer than we would have liked to sleep. We didn't call or anything, but we are going back in a few weeks and if we can't get it cooler, will have to find another "regular" for our football weekends! No free coffee in the morning is another downfall. Most hotels we stay have complimentary coffee in the mornings. They have a coffee shop but have to pay for just drip coffee.
Everything was really great!
Our home was under construction and we needed a pet friendly place to stay for a week! What a great comfortable stay! Staff was great! Highly recommend!
Cozy getaway!
The views of downtown Austin were phenomenal. We loved the rooftop patio and restaurant. It was a little calm haven inside a bustling city. The room was cozy and comfortable. It was the perfect getaway especially since we didn’t spend a ton of time inside the room.
We loved our stay at Tommie! The staff was welcoming, the vibes were very luxurious and we slept like kings even in the midst of Sixth Street madness. Perfect hotel for those who want to step out the door to incredible Austin nightlife!
Nice hotel friendly staff
This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee bar was good. Arriba Abajo had a cool atmosphere and drinks were good. Plenty of places to walk to, scooters to rent to go further.
Overall a very good hotel in a good location. The staff members tried very hard to be helpful and professional, but somehow struggled to answer basic questions about services like parking or telpehone calls. The pool area was tiny, with so many people crammed in, completely defeats the purpose of using it.
Would recommend.
Very good place
Love it but Valet way too expensive and they don’t have a small shop for toiletries or basic OTC items
What a great place to stay and it was right next to 6th street which was a plus
Note Tommie is amazing, however note it’s two hotel chains together. There is Tommie and Thompson, one is bigger than the other. Ask questions prior to booking or you will be booking something smaller than a cruise suite room with Tommie. Overall great location and it’s in walking distance to 6th street. Parking valet is $61 per night.
San Jac Saloon, J Prime restaurant in walking distance were great.
The location was awesome and the staff was super friendly. Julia from the front desk was super nice and accommodating. This place is super ideal if you have pets. We have stayed in other places were pets are allowed, but didn’t feel the same way as in the Tommie hotel. I like that you are on the same floor with other dog owners, so they understand. We had no problem with any noise, even though you are right next to six street.
The Tommie bathroom sink lighting needs improvement. I could hardly see myself in the mirror. And maybe there’s a way to turn off the bedside lights without having to get out of bed, but I couldn’t figure it out.
The staff was excellent
Right next to 6th street, nice hotel
valet was so convenient, text them when you’re ready & your car is down stairs right in front in about 5-6 minutes! clean rooms, pretty views, sweet staff! loved it all! pool is small for such a large property, but super pretty area to hang out, day or night.
We will be back!
Gorgeous hotel, phenomenal staff!
Great stay
Cramped lodgings at a steep price. Bartenders require further instruction. Selling shots by the ounce? Facing financial troubles?
Parking was ridiculous.
Overpriced drinks.
Everything was excellent! They let me check-in early. The pool was amazing and food delicious!
The modern design look and the restaurant upstairs! The rooms were a little too small in my opinion but very clean.
Fantastic service, lovely staff

Beautiful, and so convenient to explore downtown
