Great place to stay for a reasonable price
I booked this place because it was closed to my drop off location on my way back from Machu Picchu. However, I end up being amazed by this place. Carlos the hotel manager was super nice. He made me breakfast and was really friendly. Did I mention that I was the only one in the hotel. I got VIP treatment. The room was clean, nice and quite. I would defiantly stay here again on my trip back to Cusco.
Shouldn't be call a hotel
It's a horrible place, far from downtown in a dangerous area of the city. It doesn't have even a sign or a license to be a hotel Wouldn't recommend it
Good, clean basic little hotel in Cusco. Beds and pillows are best I've had so far in South America! Rod, the owner, is super helpful re your stay in Cusco, where is good/safe to eat, getting tickets for sightseeing or transport etc.
Friendly and Quaint
The best thing by far about this hotel is the owner, Rod. He was so helpful and friendly. He gave tourism advice and held my baggage while I went to Machu Picchu. He made sure I had in-town transportation. He told we about where the tourist traps were and where to find the best places in town. The hotel is on a hill above the main squares, and I would walk down the hill to sight-see but take a cab back for 5 soles.
Peruvian hospitality en route to Machu Picchu!
Arrived on our honeymoon en route to Machu Picchu and was greeted by Rod, the best host we've met in all our travels. He sat us down and fed/plied us with tea as he drew us a map of the highlights of the city. Then he ensured our tickets to M.P. were squared away (they weren't but we fixed that with his help). Excellent service that felt like we were staying with family. The room was clean and Spartan but all trips to M.P. start very early so it wasn't an issue. I would certainly recommend this hotel and if we are ever in Peru again I know where I'm staying. Our room had a great view as well.
Love this place
Fantastic, home-like stay in Cusco
For Tocapu, we spent only a few dollars above our student/hostel-oriented budget and it was 100% worth it. My friend and I stayed in the room with the two twin beds and we were excited to return to our room after a long day exploring Cusco. The room was extremely comfortable and the WiFi worked great (a necessity after so many internet-less bus rides). A filling breakfast was also provided each morning. The hotel is close to downtown. Rodrigo was awesome and certainly one of the best parts of our entire trip was chatting with him when he welcomed us on the first night and helped us plan our short two days in Cusco. He and his nephew who was there at the time were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to talk with us despite being busy running the hotel! He is a wonderful host and we saved a lot of time and money, not to mention that we better enjoyed our trip, thanks to his advice.
Rod is AMAZING
This was more like staying at a long friends house than a hotel. Our flights got cancelled, so we were a day late arriving. Rod welcomed us in, make us the famous tea and gave us the low down on how to get around and what to do in Cusco. Rod decorated and renovated each room himself, each with a different theme. He made our stay one we will never forget. If you travel to Cusco, you must stay here.
Dejlig overnatning
Venligt personale, som lavede dejlig morgenmad. Fint værelse og komfortabel seng
NO EXISTE
¿? 3. No Televisión cable.
O café-da-manhã deixou a desejar.
Good place and very kind host. Si clean and quite.
