Perfect
Everyone at The Whitehall was so friendly and helpful! Food options were also excellent and the quality was impeccable. I would definitely stay here again!
I was extremely dissatisfied with my charges at Edgar’s, when I picked up my dinner on 3/4/25. I was charged an additional $62.04 for liquor, I did not have. I do not drink. Trying to get this charge removed but not having much luck. I was told I needed to call back.

The staff was amazing!!! Nice hotel. Not easy to enter.
I was there for a week, and on my night 1 stay, I heard the sounds of an ice machine duming ice, people banging doors when going into the ice machine room, and the bathroom was always dumping loads of water. The biggest catch is that no matter what, you will end up paying for VALLET PARKING out of your pocket as premises doesn't have any non vallet parking. This is bizzarre. I wouldn't recommend staying here at ALL.
Helpful staff, convenient location, comfortable environment
One of my faves! Staff is awesome. Bar and restaurant food delish! Big clean rooms, comfy beds with great, soft pillows. Nice bathrooms in rooms. Location!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice hotel but little dated on rooms w/ wear and tear showing up in bathroom. Very comfortable beds but a there was too much road noise by this somewhat of a light sleeper.
The hotel was beautiful. The afternoon staff was very helpful when I arrived, but unfortunately, the staff in the early morning did not seem very friendly. During my checkout as well, it seemed as if the staff did not want to help in offering directions.
Whitehall one night stay for downtown event
First time staying, it was conveniently located to the event we were attending. Easy in Easy out, valet was good, we took lyfts from the hotel, easy. restaurant on the 2nd floor had really good food and cocktails. Room was comfortable, we did get two double beds instead of a King, but that was not the hotel's fault, I selected any available. Our room was a little noisy due to the interstate proximaty, but not bad. A/C was nice and cold. My only complaint on the room was the bathroom was on the small side. I would stay here again, and likely will in the future.
There has been a winter event happen here with negative temps (Celsius) and the AC does not heat. actually, it will only blow cold air. We are not the only ones. Everyone is asking each other in the elevators if their hearing is working.
Not a very good stay!
The hotel was very cold, no hot water for showers and the rooms are very outdated.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was relaxing. Rooms were very nice. I would stay again
Everything was great, just TV never turned on but since we weren't in the room for that long, i just didn't report it.
All employees were very kind and attentive. My girlfriend and I felt very safe at all times and the food was fantastic. I thought the price was expensive at first but during my stay I thought it was a great value for money!
Given the wrong room. Room was dirty. found opened, haft way used bottle of wine.
Valet and lobby area was very nice. The room was average at best.
The location of this hotel is good. Our request was complied, room and hotel are in excellent conditions We were generally happy
Hot Water An Issue
Hot water barely worked. I was expecting a better experience considering the $300+ nightly rate.
Great hotel
The hotel smells great and the staff is wonderful. Beds are extremely comfortable. Second time here and i would definitely recommend! Bathroom lighting sucks and shower was good pressure but could have been better if the shower thing pulled all the way up. Bath was filling up as I showered you get the point. Room 630
The top 3 for Whitehall Houston during my stay. 1) The staff is WONDERFUL!! Very professional, greeted me every time I entered the lobby area and valet station. If I called with a request it was given the attention required at that time, no delay. 2) The appearance in the lobby, loading area, and hotel restaurants had modern finishes that gave hints of upscale and comfort. 3) The hotel had a peaceful atmosphere; very quiet but inviting.
Always decent
The Whitehall is a good place to stay that has consistently nice rooms and good staff.
2 night business stay downtown
Business trip 2 nice stay. Close enough to downtown meeting locations and easy commute to airport. Rooms seem a little dated but lots of onsite amenities restaurant, nice outdoor bar. Staff was extremely friendly always said hi or welcome back when I came through the lobby. WiFi worked great throughout the property. Perfect for a 2 night business stay.
Rooms weren’t as clean as other places. Outside bar was amazing
Nobody cleaned my room. Parking was expensive, room was outdated, hotel gym had a huge hole in the ceiling, employees did not communicate well with one another about our needs and request. Incorrect information was giving on multiple occasions by these two staff no microwave in the rooms or anywhere in the facility available for hotel guest. I will not be rooming with the Whitehall again 3/10
First but not the last stay here!
Check in was good valet was a little confusing but the valet guys were very nice. Overall the room and hotel was nice. I will definitely stay again!
Loved our stay thanks to John. We were having a Christmas staycation and the hotel was beautifully decorated. It was quiet and clean with WiFi and affordable breakfast. I got a very upscale vibe from it although they didn’t advertise it as such. We walked to a couple of food places and staff was again, kind and hospitable.
Great property with a fine and dedicated client service
My biggest complaint is more with how Whitehall was listed on Expedia. The property did not have complimentary breakfast which is what I searched for on Expedia. In addition parking was an additional $40 a night which is not mentioned anywhere on Expedia that I could see.
Unfortunately, I want to write a better review due to the staffs service. The staff all around was awesome. Unfortunately the hotel itself is outdated and in need of repairs that are easily visible.
The lobby was beautiful, the staff was so nice, and it was so easy to get an Uber at any time. The rooms were just a bit outdated, but they had everything we needed, and overall, we had a great stay.
Na
Good
Good stay, staff was very helpful.
Mgr John finally compensated us for a terrible check in experience. And got a room that air con/hearter made super crazy noises that they have to moved us to another room after all the unpacking i have dine. Thank you John and thanks for making our stay better.
Simply Amazing!
Talk about a hotel of class! Everything was perfect. The staff was professional and the room exceeded my expectations considering I got it at such an affordable price. Great location too!
Nice2025
Very nice I loved everything about it lots of stuff to do in the area
Sotherly Charm in Houston
An amazing stay that I would easily recommend to anyone who asked, the amenities always stay above the rest. This Sotherly host makes traveling a breeze and is definitely my first choice when traveling.
Good hotel but needs some updating
The young man’s hair that checked us in was long over his face that we couldn’t understand what he was saying. The walls and furniture in our hallway of our floor were bumped or scraped. It was below freezing during our stay and there were only thin blankets on the bed. We had to turn up the heat. The tissues in our bathroom smelt like vomit. Breakfast was okay but the service was very nice. I did enjoy my complementary drink.
Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I did encounter a few staff who weren’t so pleasant. Overall the hotel was nice and in the heart of the city.
I would recommend this place
Perfect
The “upgrade” in my opinion was not and upgrade; I would have liked to see a room of lesser standard to rate it as such. The one free drink was nice, would’ve preferred one per evening. The restaurant was fantastic! We enjoyed each and every meal there.
The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms need a little bit of a touch up. I was a little put off that valet parking was required; there was no self-parking option.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and well kept for being older.
Great Hotel/Great Staff-Especially John and Nelli!
Forced to pay $40 for valet again , no public parking , way to expensive for such a horrible experience and breakfast was horrible
Unfortunately we only managed to stay one night in this lovely hotel. We are very impressed overall. Hotel and room is lovely. Cleanliness is very good, staff helpful and hotel has lots to do in it. Highly recommend. Thank you.
Great stay but …
Great stay in general! Staff very friendly and helpful! We used the valet service and unfortunately one item we left in the car was lost. I totally understand that we are responsible for taking valuables from the car but I didn’t expect that the valet service be unreliable. I hope the management mentions that to the staff.
Good hotel
A lot of homeless people around and armed security was through someone out while I was checking out
Overall good
The fragrance throughout the hotel was amazing. The customer service at the front desk and at the hotel restaurant were top notch.
Amazing!
Clean, amazing staff, great restaurant.. highly recommend
I love it. Looks nice! Service was great even after my flights got canceled they took care of us.
5/5
The hotel is good, with friendly staff and excellent hospitality. However, for the price, the lobby feels somewhat small compared to high-end hotels. The location is excellent, allowing easy walking access to most places in downtown Houston.
Restaurants are not open and no coffee shop!
I was excited to book this stay for New Years Eve! I booked it because it had two restaurants, a coffee shop and breakfast included with our stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived, Valet parking was $50 to start off, only one restaurant was open and the coffee shop was also closed. In the morning (apparently, breakfast was not included with my stay).. I had to pull up my app which stated it was! Our room had no soap and minimal shampoo and conditioner. I really wish we had a better experience.
Nice
Nice place to stay. could use some updating. Elevators REALLY slow.
Good
clean facility, and friendly staff. location is superb
Good location. Clean room. Friendly staff. Slow wifi. The AC had weak heating.
Perfectly located in downtown Houston. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are comfy! Building is pretty, too. Bar drinks and food are delish with great wait staff!
Great service and environment
Staff were so friendly. Restaurant was very good. Great coffee!
The prices of simple snacks was too high (maybe it’s just me ) but overall this property was nice! The food/drinks was amazing!
Every one was very friendly!
The staff were nice and friendly but the room was dirty with visibly dry water rings. The bathroom also was very small with limited space and broken towel holders. Stayed here for only 24 hrs. Wouldn’t recommend if you need a place longer than that.
The cleaning lady knocked on the door at around 8am. That was strange.
Staff was amazing. Food was yummy. I will stay here again
Always a favorite hotel. Staff is so attentive. Amenities are wonderful. Location and parking is so convenient.
Staff was nice
Great Hotel with great service. Will definitely stay again
Location is pretty good but very noisy as it’s right next to the highway
Good stay
Rooms are pretty outdated. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t table side ordering, was hoping for a nice sit down restaurant. Everyone was incredibly nice.
This was a nice property to stay at if you are looking for something simple within the city
Nice
The moment I arrive they offer valet parking the receptionist was great he help me book another stay since I did my reservation wrong it was a real great stay! 10/10
We booked this hotel through Expedia for our Christmas holiday with family, but it was a terrible experience from the start. The room claims to accommodate four people, but it barely fits two adults comfortably. It had two full-size beds (not queens) and almost no space to move. The pillows were square and tiny, the bathroom was dangerously slippery (my son fell twice!), and the shower was old with dirty walls. There was no minibar or fridge to store food or milk for the kids, which made things even more inconvenient. Housekeeping was kind but inconsistent—they missed our room one day and, when asked, said they had already left by 1:00 PM! Parking was another disaster. They charge guests $40 tax per night, which is ridiculous. We ended up parking across the street at a public government building for half the price. The entrance has a high wooden bump that damaged our rental car, and we had to pay for the repairs. This ruined our experience further. I tried contacting Expedia to cancel and book a better hotel, but they were unhelpful, leaving us stuck here and ruining our holiday. The only slight positive was the friendliness of the housekeeping staff, but that didn’t make up for the horrible stay. I would not recommend The Whitehall Houston and will never return. 1/5 Stars.
The elevator was quick, the visual aesthetic was modern. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. Will recommend the WhiteHall in the future.
Came here for a Bills game. It was fantastic ! Met some nice people. Walked to dining and a Bills block party. The bar/ restaurant was great with the best bartender too. He was awesome
Great stay
Amazing stay. Bartender is great
Super great staff! Only parking is valet is trash and unneeded plus they have no EV Charging at all. We arrived at 3am, checked in and discovered we had one washcloth, hvac vent hanging out of ceiling and no water pressure in shower. For what these folks are charging I expected better. U WANT TO CHARGE PREMIUM THEN I EXPECT PREMIUM!! This was not premium.
The place was nice but expected it to lol way better and the rooms be a little more cleaner my tv or lamps did not work and my mirror in the restroom did not either. Very old type of furniture.
Nice
Crazy
Everything was ok but the shuttle was down. And i didnt know parking was automatic. Than we woke in the heat the power went out ...
X
Staff was excellent, as always. And the room was super clean, which is a major plus for me
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also is was very clean
We had a wonderful stay at The Whitehall a week and a half ago. The property is beautiful and in a great location. The real star of the property, though, is the wonderful staff. In particular, Arteshia was incredibly kind and professional as we arrived at 3am after several flight delays and car rental problems. Arteshia took fantastic care of us, welcoming us to the property and swiftly checking us in. She was absolutely wonderful. Additionally, Shirley at the front desk was equally wonderful. Shirley was professional, attentive, and very kind. Both of these wonderful staff members are an asset to this great property, and we will be returning to this hotel based on their incredible service. Thank you, Shirley and Arteshia!
Good staff
I liked the outdoor bar.
Very clean vey respectfull

Not so good experience for me
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a very friendly staff. Completely worth it.

Moderate/Poor condition in the room
The condition in my room was not so pleasant. The casegoods within the room was poor, I was unable to watch cable tv in my room, and I had to ask at the check-in desk for housekeeping. Also, there were a few markings on the wall and tables. Other than that, the employees was kind.
