This is not an " All Included" hotel, just in case this is what you look for.

This is a beautiful property and the service is excellent.

It was everything amazing

Very nice clean property. Huge nice clean pools. Jacuzzi spa beautiful beach. Friendly staff. Good food. Nice rooms. Convenient to all.

Great stay!

We had an amazing time at the hotel. Location is great, close to shopping; the beach was really nice, as were the pools. The room was big and had everything we needed. I wouls recommend this hotel and I would definately stay here again.

The rooms are lovely, but they nickle & dime you to death. By the time you pay for every drink, meal, & overpriced groceries at their market, it is much cheaper to choose one of the all-inclusive options, with the same quality of rooms & grounds.

I like the flexibility of dining out or being able to cook in the room...the washer and dryer is a big plus if on an extended stay. I have been staying at this location for the last 10 years.

Amazing pool, off-putting salespeople on site

Incredible resort with the most breathtaking pool, however…don’t expect to check in on time. You won’t get your room for a couple hours after their already late check-in time (we and many others were stuck in the lobby til 6), and yet you have to check out at 10AM. Furthermore, when they check you in, they pass you off to a “special concierge”…you feel special, right? Wrong. They’re just there to pepper you with up-sales, hectoring you to do this weird cult meeting with their sales people. It’s really off-putting, and throughout your stay, that “concierge” will haunt you if you walk through the lobby, badgering you to go to the cult sales meeting. It’s really bizarre. Hotel does a decent job of preventing the old folks from claiming pool chairs at 6AM with a book and not coming back til 2…after 45 mins, they’ll clear your stuff. However, there aren’t nearly as many loungers as there are guests, so if you don’t claim your spot by 9AM, you’re relegated to pool purgatory. Rooms are great, pool is great, food is very mediocre, beach area is great, grocery mart is great with an in-house Starbucks, gym is small, but good. Definitely a great place, all of the staff except the creepy concierges are great.

Large property! Very clean. Beautiful pools and beach. Dining options were good. Had washer dryer in our studio along with a whirlpool tub and small kitchen which was good to have in the room. We don't like adjoining rooms (as you can hear everything through the door) which we got but luckily there was nobody next door for our entire stay. We had an Air conditioning leak which caused a small part of the plaster to fall. They came right away to fix it and plastered it back without fixing the leak and it happened again! Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. Friendly check in and nice staff. Would stay here again.

Property is great for kids but not for romantic getaway. Area is convenient and very safe. Getting an umbrella on the beach was like hunger games. Food was comically bad. Room was nice enough but smelled like mildew. Fridge wasn’t cold despite changing the settings- used freezer as fridge since it wasn’t very cold either. Respect people trying to make a living, but peddlers coming up to us on beach every 20 min trying to sell sunglasses or jewelry etc was annoying and not something we experienced at other Cancun resorts. Housekeeping knocked every morning from 8:30-9am and if we were still in room they didn’t come back. We paid a lot more than usual because of new years peak pricing, so generally would be less bothered by all of this, but for the money, not worth it. We’ll go back to the intercontinental next time

The property and staff were great. Very clean and easy to get around. The beach is one of the best we have experienced in Cancun. The downfall was access to loungers. During our 5 day stay, we never got a chair poolside and the latest we went down to the pool was 9:30 am. It was very disappointing. We did get chairs on the sand on the beach, but there were a few very windy days that made it uncomfortable to sit on the beach.

All is fine with this hotel and surrounding areas, very well located

The restaurants at this resort close way to early is the only down fall.

La isla mall and restaurants were great and the food at the restaurants there are great only complaint everything shuts down way too early.

Great location

Great hotel with friendly staff. Room service does come early so it's a good idea to place your DND sign out at night. Very US friendly with limited spicy items or traditional Mexican cuisine.

Excellent propeety

We had a very nice time at this property.

While the property was clean it is getting old. The bathroom shower leaked onto the floor because the casinos were rusting and warped. Additionally, many of the elevators were out of service requiring a walk around and stairs, which because of arthritis I struggled to navigate. The staff was lovely, friendly and attentive, I particularly recommend Silvia in the spa for a massage, excellent! All the food offered in the restaurants was good, but not notable. One real complaint was the car service from the airport, which we had paid $120 for, was more than 45 minutes late to pick us up. While the concierge was apologetic he kept telling us it was traffic causing the problem. However upon entering the highway there was little or no traffic. Get a cab, but don’t give them a credit card as our was stolen in another cab ride.

Great place to stay

Don’t expect The Westin Hotel

Don’t expect The Westin standards here; it’s more like a timeshare setup. The room was 40 square meters but felt much smaller. It had an almost single-sized bed along with a single sofa bed. I stayed in two different rooms, and neither offered any privacy, whether in terms of the view or the noise from adjacent rooms. All rooms are connecting, so we could even hear a “good morning” from the next-door room. Additionally, the rooms smelled musty. I requested a room change, but they said it wasn’t possible. When I asked for an upgrade, they said it wasn’t an option either, as upgrades are not part of their policy (timeshare style). We then asked to cancel the booking, but they informed us that we could cancel, though no refunds would be provided. Ultimately, after spending one night, we decided to leave, despite having a four-night reservation. I believe The Westin should seriously reconsider associating its name with this property.

Food service sub-par

All was great except the room service and food. The service was slow and the food was prepared as if it was preparing for an army. We ordered chips and salsa and you'd think I was asking for caviar. Something so simple could not be accommodated.

Great location right across La Isla hopping mall and other walkable restaurants. Staff was friendly and everything was super clean. Transportation was also easy to arrange to and from the airport.

Resort was beautiful, staff was exteremly accomadating as i will travel with ill cancer patient.Renata my concierge was top notch she went above and beyond exceptio al servicce.I cant say enough about her and the rest of the staff.The One car seevice made my trip smooth for arri al through departure.Will most definitely be returning.

The property is not clean and very humid inside the room. We had to change the room becuase of the smell in it.

Excellent service at this property, great location!

Highly recommend! Staff called upon arrival to ask if anything was needed. Friendly staff and the entire property is clean. Location is great, mall across the street and grocery store close by. I was very pleased with the room size and it was everything I expected.

The hotel is nicely located. The personnel is very responsive but not always sofisticate. My bathroom was full of cockroaches and it took two days to have it sprayed with disinfectants

We went on a girls trip. There were 8 of us and we got 2 of the 2 room villas. There was plenty of space. We all had our own bed. The facility and our rooms were very clean. The resort is gorgeous. The pool was amazing! Ged was our concierge and he was so nice. He answered any questions we had about the best way to get around in Cancun and he even help organize a overnight trip for us in Tulum via the ADO which was only like $23 round trip vs $150 each way by way of any other transportation companies. Also, the weather around this time was amazing. Not too hot, just right!

October stay at the Westin

My partner and I had an enjoyable stay at the Westin Lagunamar hotel despite the rain! We managed to make the most of the resort, using the pools, jacuzzis, the fitness/wellness centre and the spa. We also tried all of the restaurants, which were a little overpriced for what they offered/the quality of food, but still pleasant enough. Our other issues stemmed from the fact that the floor in our room seemed to be always wet, and that our phone in our room kept ringing on the first night. The spa however, was the highlight, and we had a great couples massage which included use of the spa’s jacuzzi and other facilities, as well some chocolate strawberries & champagne afterwards. Overall, a nice stay just with a few points of improvement

Hotel was fabulous. The rooms were very clean. The staff was so polite and helpful. The pools were clean and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend to my family and friends..

Everything was great. Staff was awesome. To be honest i dont have any complaints. It was an amazing experience and i will return again.

Very good hotel, totally worth it!

I was a little bit surprised about the pricing of the food. You did not get the quality Match for the price. In my opinion, the food was very subpar for what they were charging for it. Besides that, very friendly and knowledgeable hotel staff.The gym was really good and the staff in the gym was extremely accommodating.

Excellent hotel and staff

The property started construction 3 days after our arrival with no notice to us. No immediate elevator was available for use and had to go to another building to access. When addressed they offered to move me to another building the following day not equivalent to room I paid for. So we stayed and forced to listen to construction workers and noise. I provided property with a card and told them to zero out my balance and if I needed anything I would pay for it. They wanted you to attend a presentation when I paid full price to stay at the property and was absolutely not interested in becoming a member. They pressured for me to attend presentation after the terrible costumer service I had experienced. On day of check out I was provided with an invoice and stated they did not zero out balance. Property was nice overall but will not return.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The buffet breakfast is really reasonable and the villa had the most amazing view. I will definitely be returning back

Great place to stay!!!

The property itself was very bad and very confusing to get from room to the pool. You have to walk all the way at least 1 mile my room was so far away from the main lobby that I end up walking back-and-forth nonstop. I went there to relax, not exercise the fridge in the room Leaking water I asked to be fixed twice. It was never fixed as far as the food and restaurant is concerned way way too expensive and the food wasn’t good overall I won’t choose this hotel again The staff was very friendly and very helpful

Had a great stay. The resort is beautiful. Wonderful pools and beautiful grounds. The staff is kind and helpful. In a prime location for going out to eat. Short walking distance to get some groceries to stock your room with drinks and snacks. Walked cross the street to the mall for great affordable places to eat The washer and dryer in the room came in handy for washing as drying swim suits. Comfortable beds and the shower was great. Only drawback is the ocean was wild and a lot of waves. Not a great beach for swimming but a wonderful beach for relaxing and not too crowded. Watching the sea turtles at night was a nice added experience. Overall wonderful place to stay!

Awesome service, accessible pools & beach. Very clean

We really enjoyed this resort as a family. The studio might be a little small sized (stated 4), but it was really well equiped with a small stove, fridge, microwave oven, dish washing machine and even a washer-dryer combo machine for our cloths. We even went shopping to a near supermarket (Soriana) for breakfast basics we we had our own snacks, water and cooked bkfst fot the kids. We did not use the hotel restaurants to meet our budget, so I cannot speak about them. The bathroom was clean and spacious, included a hidrojet bathtub and a separate shower. Very nice sea view from.the room balcony, the pools were really large, well maintained and nice. Usef the pool side bar a couple times... happy hour from 3 to 4 pm 😀 Beach areas very nice as well, the sea draft was a little high but we could still get in and enjoy it... breath taking sea view and water color... so beatiful... "La isla" is a large open mall, just across the avenue from the hotel (2 min walk) with a bunch of options to eat and buy other stuff if that is your thing. Personnel from the hotel was great, every request we had was solved quiclky and efficiently (even a washing machine quick repair was done within 1 hour). Our elevator was out of order a couple of times, but was it. No big deal. We took the stairs. Great place to stay, will definitely come back in the future if we are lucky enough to go to Cancun again... regards!

Wonderful beach

Great service

I booked this stay after things didn't work out with the original resort for to unsanitary conditions. This resort and staff was heaven sent. The resort is clean, the food is great, transportation is right outside of the resort, the mall is across the street from the resort, and they're enough food options to choose from due to the resort not being all inclusive. You can book airport shuttle round trip through "The One" which is the company the resort uses. The room was ready early which is a bonus because my going adult has special needs and can get impatient and restless. Oscar helped me at check in. Next time I know to book directly through the resort in order to obtain my Marriott points.

Love everything about it! Plus staff was great - helpful and friendly.

The facility is great, but needs renovation

Stay away

This is a 2 star hotel, maximum! Everything is outdated and just looks straight up for the 80s. Common areas are just ugly and not pleasant to be at. In the room - AC doesn’t work, shower is broken, no mini bar and no room service. No decent food options at all at the property. The only thing this place has is a large pool, but I’m sure it can be found somewhere else.

Awesome place for family

Beautiful beach access and right across the street from La Isla shopping. Less than 5 min walk to shopping and dining.

Is it all around outstanding place?

Food was expensive and so so. Accommodations was gorgeous. Nice location. Nice people working there. Concierge could be tighter about excursion bookings, be sure to get things confirmed in writing even if they are offered to. you. If you didnt agree in writing, you may not get what you were expecting.

It was good until it wasn’t.

When asking for a ride to the airport the hotel front desk informed me taxi and shuttle services were suspended. They let me know I needed to check out on time so other guests could use my room they not once asked about where we would go with no way of making it to the airport not their problem hotel was paid on to the next

This place was amazing

The Westin Laguna Mar is tops. Great service in all aspects. It’s Convenient, safe and has beautiful grounds! Book it You won’t regret it. Great place great people.

Good proparty beautiful location all rooms facing sea view. Check in was bad experience, room has lots of short coming so had to call house keeping many time and was constant demand for shower gel , plug point not working , exta bed not done, luggage cane very late check in was 4 and they gave room at 5

The Front desk service is awful…we arrived at 4pm-now this is the check in time!!! And our suite was not ready and we had to wait for 40 minutes..Gustavo gave us the worst suite (138), behind a Mayan ruin, practically no view and right besides the adjacent hotel pool …the noise was unnerving. In order to change the room you have to give 24 hrs advance notice, and must vacate your room from 11am-4pm!!! This is my 4th time in this resort and I am not coming back…the overall service is rude and desinterested…the hotel location is excellent.

LOVED IT!

Our stay was amazing!!!! We loved everything about the room, especially the view of the pool and beach!!! Having a kitchen was a good plus. We were able to cook. For me personally, I really like it that our room had a washer/dryer. I was able to do laundry. Hurray! We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful spot

Our stay at the Marriott is always refreshing We had a wonderful stay. Just wish there were more shaded areas when it’s too windy to put up umbrellas. People like to save the shaded seats in the morning and not use them all day!!

I would recommend this resort to my family and friends.

The property was beautiful. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Beautiful beach and pool. Only negative is the food and drinks on the resort was not very good. We were glad to not have purchased all inclusive.

Nice property
