WORST HOTEL AWARD DELHI NCR goes to Weston Gurgaon
The hotel is the worst hotel in gurugram. Maybe there were harsher words I could use. Let me list the issues we faced: 1. At night either the hotel staff / guest above our room started moving tables / chairs around and produced squeaking noises for the whole night. After severally complaining again and again at front desk, no body did anything. They continued to lie it was not there anymore or will stop. At the end after 3 hours of painful noises, and no help from hotel staff, we requested the hotel to move our room, but again they continue to do nothing. Staff at night has no training for customer service whatsoever. At the end at 2am in morning we had to take all our belongings and camp at the reception for the people to understand the frustration it had caused us. This is the worst hotel ever. 2. At the morning breakfast, for both days they continue to tell us tell us they have no tables and offered us to go to another restaurant where they was little selection of food and no service whatsoever. The food was absolutely tasteless and cold and nobody trained was present. The staff was chit chatting at the corner the whole time and we had to ring a siren to get anyone’s attention. It was a gruesome experience. 3. The hotel room was unclean, hair everywhere in the bathroom and the room. They didn’t even bother to vacuum to clean the sheets properly. It seems either they are too overwhelmed or don’t care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.
The lobby is nice and elegant. Rooms however lack cleanliness. Our bedsheets were dirty and so was the bathroom, however when we informed staff they promptly changed the sheets. The bathrooms and bathtubs need to be cleaned properly if they wish to maintain their standards. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options

The staff was so attentive and kind! Everything was extremely clean and well taken care of. They even sent up complimentary treats to my room! I really felt like the staff cared how my experience was!

I have been traveling for over 20 years and the staff at this hotel was some of the best I've experienced in the world. Incredibly attentive and professional. The food was amazing. The staff helped us each morning with some of the dishes we were unfamiliar with and created food based on our preferences. The exceeded everything we could imagine. Wish all hotels could learn from this hotel, they were some of the best!!! Thank you for your hospitality and gracious hosting.
Check in process was terrible they couldn’t find my reservation in computer system , 15 minutes after searching my reservation in the system he said provide me with your reservation number I don’t why I have to provide my reservation number when I already provided him my ID. Finally they found me in the system but not ready to accept the fact that it took lot of time.
Beautiful and clean good service good food in the restaurant
The checkin experience was terrible. I was getting late, and the guest that I was staying with reached early. He had a hard time checking in even after the fact that I had called the hotel twice to give them his name, and told them that he will be checking in before me. There was no place for me to put in the other guest's name in the booking. Terrible checkin experience
Had an amazing stay at this hotel and loved everything about it - hospitality, food, drinks, pool, spa and view from my room! The staff is Amazing. Special shoutout for NARO and NEHA for presenting us with Jaipuri jewellery boxes and a lilly-flower bouquet. Thank you 😊🙏

Very good Indian hospitality
Services are really bad at westin, their staff don't know anything about their own facilities ( restaurants, clubs etc). They didn't arrange for anything I asked them, infact provided false information many a times that I had to correct them about. Even after making a reservation at their club, they gave table to someone else saying they don't have any info. They completely ruined the special day I had planned their. Please don't go unless absolutely necessary.

Hotel is modern and well maintained. Overall good service. The main breakfast and buffet lunch are fantastic. The EESTE restaurant is good but wildly overpriced. Nice pool.
For the most expensive hotel in Gurgaon you expect better. The little things - like room service replacing the soap, the shoe shiner, trying to do room service on the morning I’m leaving… all made for a slightly disappointing stay. Likely to try the Le Meridien next time

Poor service at reception. Contract worker type mentality. Lack of smooth service. Buffet is a mixed bag, breakfast is fine, but dinner was not great, too many staff running around but no clarity in focus and repsonse. no toilteries in bathroom. Towels were dirty. This is not a Marriot Bonvoy experience.
I have stayed at westin many times before but this time the dining experience was not up to the mark. I had breakfast buffet included with my stay but I hardly got anything to eat. It was a mess, they wrapped up breakfast early, and many items were not available during the last one hour because they had to start preparing for the brunch. I understand you have to plan for next meal but not at the cost of compromising your current meal and experience
Pretty substandard
Club rooms getting tired, no coffee machine in room. Club lounge not as good as it once was, they have reduce the hours and don’t fill the fridge. Staff friendly but only when up selling, just walk off if you genuinely have a complaint. Overall a nice hotel but value for money is very poor now… Much better hotels in the area.
Careful when booking this hotel through Hotels.com
This hotel did not accept our booking through hotel.com and told us that we didn’t have any booking under our name though we had the confirmation #sent to us by Hotels.com. We had to get a room at a higher rate which they told us was available. We had reached at 4am ,after a very long and tiring flight and had to spend another hour trying to find out how we could get a room to stay. It was very inconvenient.

The Towels & The Room Up Keep was not at all the level of pricing of hotel was Kept. Breakfast was Very very bad and would not recommend somebody to spend 10,000 on 1 Night stay on such a Hotel. Not at all worth spending money. Neither Location was good/Nor Breakfast Nor Room Upkeep. Definately not more than 5000 per Night Hotel

Abysmal Service ..
Am a regular at Westin for a few years now, this was my first trip post COVID. Service levels have deteriorated abysmally - is all I can say. One dinner took 2 hrs to deliver, the operator/ service desk - forgets requests and doesn’t call back, duty manager does not turn up - when called .. etc etc. in this day and age, when all service providers are focusing on “service” it’s disheartening to see Westin deteriorate - and considering that I stay in their suite ... wonder what happens to the guests in smaller rooms !

The people were friendly and helpful. There was a guy at the reception called Rahul who assisted a lot - with getting our COVID tests lined up and everything else. But I would like to say that the hotel staff need training badly. They are not being able to keep up with traffic. Food came late every time we ordered. Bread knife is a concept they do not understand. The music is the same and is playing throughout the hotel and is extremely loud. Even after I complained it was not lowered. The drainage in the bathroom had dark dirt in it. Old hair stuck in it, and it was obvious that is a place not being cleaned at all. The rooms corners and nooks and crannies were not being cleaned. The function of the hotel concierge was redefined to me in this hotel. when i wanted a reservation done at a restaurant, they said they do not do that. The drivers and vehicles were helpful. This is a poor man's five star. I have stayed at many Westins and have never seen such poor upkeep and quality. There was food strewn across the restaurant floor. The corridors in the hotel smelt of body odor and food. The guests in the adjacent rooms were partying so loud that needed to call reception for intervention repeatedly over a few nights. Everyone had terrible body odour. I am just pretty shocked at the state of the hotel.

Amazing stay on our staycation package, and their hospitality was really nice. Thank you to the team for sending a cake to our room, for my dad’s birthday . Their breakfast buffet has a good variety snd the property is huge with all the amenities .

Shower head was broken, Bathroom door would not close. Toiletries was not replenished. Towels were dirty. There was only one pair of sleeper. Bathroom did not had bidet (toilet wash) and had only tissue paper. Similarly food was awful, dirty plates. We gave the feedback to the front desk and also to the kitchen manager (Yogesh)
The floor on which our room was there, was a smoking floor. They did not ask before reserving the room. Also , breakfast was also not good. It was so much crowded and not well managed. I would not go again here. Its not worth the money
Pathetic Checkin and bad food
Pathetic checkin ever, I dont expect this atleast from this Hotel. Bad food.
Westin has good infrastructure, but is not able to live upto experience of a 5 star property. it's all about basics, quality of human resources and their training which makes the difference. Not sure if due to pandemic that has taken a beating. It's simple things like during breakfast or dinner buffet you request a steward to give you something and he never comes back, maybe it's to do with allocation of tables they need to serve, hence they tend to ignore the rest. They or any 5 star needs to invest on quality of their front desk. You feel the indifference when you walk into the hotel. These are the first impressions that matter. During dinner buffet they had 15 of their security staff joining the buffet cue. Guest were taken aback. We believe in equality, but they need to manage this better.
The room was spacious. However the linens and pillow covers were dirty with visible hair and we had to get it changed before settling in. We ordered food in the room and the napkins they gave were full of stink. Definitely not a 5 star experience as far as the hygiene is concerned.

Wonderful ! I just want to complain against Expedia. Why you can’t change the booking date when I’m paying a high price for the room. Very disappointed about Expedia!
Some departments are well managed, some are not. Positives: housekeeping, IT, spa. Not well run: concierge and maintenance. Concierge team negative and looking to avoid work and make money by providing expensive hotel car rather than Uber access. (Just one example, as well as double talk and not providing information or not following directions. They are not there to provide assistance or what the customer needs but connive for their own benefit. It’s a daily game of wills). Another department not doing its job Is building maintenance. During a one week period key card to enter room and elevator did not work three times, phone did not work four times (could not get wake up call but they did send someone to the room for wake up), television did not work twice. Constant waste of time interfering with work I had planned to do in the room. Constant interruptions and blabbing with me when I explained I needed to sit down at desk and work. Another area needing improvement us chefs. I asked six times for fresh beet and walnut dosa that I had had at two other Bonvoy hotels in India in February. Never got it. Food was mediocre and their idea of a bagel (they have a bagel bar in lobby) was poor and they tried to charge me extra to have one with breakfast (breakfast buffet was included). Compare with JW Marriott Aerocity or even Fairfield Inn in Whitefield, Bangalore which both had superb food and service. This property simply is not at the same level. Needs improvement....
AC wouldn't bring the room below 34. This was a problem in all four rooms we were in.

The best thing is the bed! It really is as described, 'heavenly'. But the service is also excellent and I was lucky to be upgraded to a suite.
The Westin was really nice overall - great property with a couple of good restaurants, a full service spa and nice fitness facilities including a beautiful pool.
Mini fridge used for medication broke down. Sink and shower stall leaked. Was overcharged for last night (as compared to Expedia rate and for extra occupants). Called to discuss overcharges and was told it would take 30 days if at a refund was approved. Disappointing!
Westin is a beautiful hotel
Everything here is great but be weary of ordering from the kitchen in the club lounge. The food that I was told being freshly prepared was cold. I received rock hard pancakes once!

A nice hotel with good rooms and facilities. We spent three nights. It is a comfortable hotel with a very good gym and layout. However, the service throughout the hotel was slow. The transportation was a problem, there were no taxis available and only way was either get a Uber which is difficult for foreigners or hire the hotel car which was prohibitively expensive.

I stayed here for six nights. There’s literally nothing in the local area but slums, a motorway and office building. I had a few particularly people who went the extra mile to make everything so smooth Damini, Poja and Drarmendra Chef in Seasonal Taste always greet me with a smiles and make time to chat which is lovely when you are traveling alone. Muskaan, Amy and Naicaneet in Daily Treat was always ready to help me. My heartfelt thanks to those staff.

Amazing service. One downside is outside of hotel control is street noise and honking. Poolside is better. Didn't bother me much since I live in NYC.
OK. Take the Trident.
Choose the Trident instead. This is OK. The building is modern and clean and the design is attractive. You won't be too upset if your company sends you here (why else would you stay in Gurgaon?!). But the service is variable, and prices for everything in the hotel (food, drink, laundry, water(!!)) are astronomical - there is literally nothing in the local area but slums, a motorway, and office buildings, so there is nowhere for you to go and no alternative.

To Hotels.com: Had issues regarding the breakfast. Booked 2 rooms inclusive of breakfast, but once checked in, informed guests that breakfast is not included with the rate. Internal issues should not affect guests.
Perfection
Amazing overall experience, as expected from Westin chain of hotels. But as far as hospitality goes, Westin India definitely stands out among their other international counterparts.
Perfect Business Hotel
If you're working in Gurugram, this is where you want to stay. Super friendly staff throughout the property. Rooms were upscale and spotlessly clean. Everything felt modern and new. I stayed in a room with access to the lounge which was a nice bonus. Free drinks all day and breakfast in the morning. I think there were snacks during the evening too. The hotel also has a private car service that can take you to/from anything nearby. The price is very high compared to Uber or Ola but the cars are comfortable, air-conditioned, and apparently provide free WiFi (I never tested it). There's some restaurants on the property as well as a fitness center and outdoor pool. Would certainly stay again if I come back to the area.

Very comfortable hotel. The only thing it lacked is a shop to get drinks, snacks and others so you end up having to tap the mini bar in the room.

“Great value, service and room”
The Westin Gugaon is not the most luxurious hotel in Gorgaon however, it certainly extremely comfortable and the service is amazing. It is a great hotel for a business trip as there were a buzz and plenty of friendly travelers to have a chat with. We went over to the other hotels, and whilst beautiful they have a very stand offish vibe and more suitable for a romantic holiday experience. We really loved our four days at the Westin and I will be booking next time I am visiting our team in India.
Fantastic service
Had a great stay here. Hotel is real new and the breakfast was amazing. Front desk were very very helpful and friendly. Concierge also helped us book train tickets to Agra (which saved us time and frustration from doing it at Delhi Station). Great stay if you need to be out in Gurgaon.
Nice restaurants and very comfortable bed
The good: very comfortable beds, good size bathroom and desk in the room, friendly staff, good Italian restaurant in case you get bored of curry. The bad: housekeeping didn't manage to clean the room before 5pm 2 out of 3 days and probably only did it on the third day because I requested it. There is no power outlet in the bathroom, a bit annoying.
Great business hotel with fine facilities
Truly a great business hotel in a circle location. However front door was a bit back & forth for walking or driving. They do provide free auto shuttle service for nearby location, just need a little time to wait.
Great Hotel in Gurgoan
I stayed at this hotel for one night so that I could be close to the Delhi Airport. It was a pleasant stay and nice way to cap off a two week business trip in India. Very comfortable room, pleasant overall experience.

Great hotel, at a Great Location
the Hotel is Located in a very busy Junction with a lot of traffic all around you, but the moment you step into the westin, there is tranquility all around, the chk in was quick, entered the room, the room is spacious done in light colours, and has a calming effect on you, there is ample natural light entering the room, and it has great views of the city, the bed is indeed heavenly, the writing desk comfortable, the shower was great, overall a great hotel....the only recommendation would be a bidet for Indian travellers.......

Outstanding Stay
I had a great 1 week stay during a business trip. The hotel staff was great, the facilities were clean and beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff catered to my every need and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Their workout facility is also excellent for a business type hotel. Highly recommend this and will return on my next visit to Gurgaon.
