The property is probably a 3 star overall but the deluxe rooms are very nice with large bathrooms. The suites are not worth it. Stick with a deluxe room on the quieter side away from HVAC if noise bothers you. The breakfast place, Overeasy, is great!! Also the bellmen are so sweet.
Food was good and priced right in the hotel.
The food was AWFUL. Truly worst hotel food ever.
The property was clean. The room was beautiful. Loved the robes and slippers in the room.
Room didn’t match description of website, when i informed the hotel management they said there wasn’t anything they could do because 3rd party site had the wrong description
Toliet flush all nite
Me and my family of 4 stay in a room and the toilet flush all nite but other than that we had a nice time.
The water was room temp, couldn’t take a bath without being cold. Reported to the staff and nothing was done.
Hotel was clean & nice. Options to eat at a few different places without leaving hotel.
Put us in a room with a view of an ac condenser and brick wall. Had previously called the hotel to tell them we were celebrating a birthday so to please take care of us. Refused to move our room to another view. Asked for a bottle of water at check in and was told I had to be charged as I wasn’t a member. Front desk guy was very rude and condescending. Area around the hotel is very poor.
Very nice
Perfect place for a night out.
We stayed while attending an event held at the hotel. Everything was perfectly executed and the room was spacious and comfy. Everything from the bars, to dining to valet was five star. Highly recommend
I've have stayed at this hotel several times, the staff remembers you when you check in. From the front door men, to the checkin clerks they are all wonderful. The location is so central. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the amenities are great. I will definitely be returning when I'm back in Dallas. I highly recommend this hotel.
The staff gave excellent service and our room was clean.
The property was beautiful, but we had an issue with transportation. The staff booked a car to take us to the airport without informing us of a fee, which turned out to be three times more expensive than an Uber.
Roof top pool is not open to kids. We were not aware when booking.
Great place and service
Very nice property, room is as advertised through the pictures
1. Unable to use valet, said our truck was too large and had to park 3 blocks away 2. Dead cockroach pieces under the curtains in the room 3. AC not functional. 2 repair guys came at different times and said they fixed it and it was good to go. Never got cooler than 79 in there.
Loved my stay ! Will be back
Great staff
Our stay was certainly not four star hotel worthy! When we first arrived, the valet didn’t even realize we were there and had to get their attention. We had no idea this is a shared apartment building with tenets. We paid for a king suite and got a tiny room with no view except for a rooftop and air conditioner units, where all the light switches were busted, and they tried to downgrade us to two queen beds after over booking,The only true shining glory of this place was Scott the bellhop. He is a dying breed of what customer service is really about. Otherwise, this would’ve been a one star review. NOT WORTH 360$ A NIGHT!!!
It looked like a club downstairs. We had to walk 3 blocks away to park.
My guest and I were stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes the first night of our stay, until the fire dept. arrived. Upon arrival and after making contact, we were never asked if we were okay. Instead, the manager present made it seem like we were faulty instead of apologizing, when in fact the elevator is past due for service, but was never blocked off to the public. Very disappointed. He insisted that the elevator was working, when we were informed on the telephone by someone else on the property, that it was not in service and was not to be used. It was extremely hot. The “man in charge”/ manager present at the time was also extremely rude. I was stuck comforting my friend who suffers from panic attacks and PTSD already. I wanted a refund for my stay and I was informed that it was left up to Expedia and the hotel had no control over it. This was a terrible experience. My friend’s birthday celebration was also ruined. I just want a refund. I spoke with the director of front office, and he assured me Expedia would process my refund for the stay due to the circumstances. I also have pictures of the elevators service record showing that it is past due for maintenance.
Service came across super entitled.
We loved the tub and cleanliness of the bathroom.
Property seem clean but the room smelled like mildew, the whole time, i could boy get lass the smell. The rooftop bar was great and so was the overall service.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Statler. It is SO close to everything walkable downtown: restaurants, parks, shopping... and it was SO fun. The 3rd floor pool area could use some landscaping love, but the facility overall was wonderful. Great stay!
A very nice hotel.
Very great stay at the Statler. Will only be staying here in my future trips to Dallas.
It was a nice place with a nice bathroom.
My stay at the Statler Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the comfortable accommodations to the attentive staff, every aspect of my stay was impressive. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were surprisingly spacious. The rooftop pool offered a stunning nighttime view of the city and the atmosphere was great. Additionally, there was an on-site restaurant and several other dining options within the hotel. The only drawback was the valet parking, which can be inconvenient due to the residential location. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Statler Hotel if you have the budget for it.

Hotel was great. Valet absolutely ruined the entire anniversary weekend. They lost our keys and we were stayed away from home. Such a mess and was not treated well throughout that experience. Hotel was good, valet was 0/10.
.
I was excited about staying here till I arrived and they charged a $250.00 deposit and then another $59 to park valet because if you use the parking garage it's down the street and it's horrible conditions then the picture online say that there was shampoo and conditioner and body wash they tell me after calling down stairs that they don't have to carry body wash anymore.then when we get in the room there is no fridge or microwave like it told me online.and we didn't get a view of anything from our window we got to look at a brick wall.over all this property is priced to high and not worth the money .also check out said 12 online but we were told 11am.also they have no place to buy snacks or drinks I was told to walk down the street.smh
very very nice. only wish for more parking opportunities
nice play to stay and sleep
Loved the customer service especially
I booked a staycation here for the rooftop party at waterproof. The hotel was extremely busy but I received top notch service. The elevators were slow and hot but other than that the stay was awesome!! Will be going again soon!!
My daughter enjoyed the hotel to the fullest
Our stay was excellent
Valet while parking in garage hit our rental and takes forever for them to do there investigation . During weekends they have rooftops party’s where it makes it impossible to get to your room . I won’t be staying here again for the price you pay not worth it
Statler Fourth
Great property and amenities. Front desk staff chilly but efficient. Room furniture needs a little attention, looking pretty beat up. Wall controls for lights / drapes slow to react. Great spa bathroom! Could do without the hookers from Waterproof.
Phone didn’t work but everything else was perfect
Great place. Friendly staff. Everything was excellent.
Nice hotel. Clean. Fun
Safe, had doormen at doors and inside hotel lobby. Felt safe. Clean and beautiful historic hotel. Great rooftop! Beautiful views and walkable. Loved our room, staff and location.
Overpriced
I was really excited to stay at this hotel and upon initially entering the room thought that it looked great, however there were multiple problems with the room (reading light not working, tv/remote issues, no hot water during shower, lights not working correctly) and room service order was not good.
Perfect staycation, you do not even have to leave the hotel.
I absolutely loved my stay and I definitely recommend it. Staff was always helpful and made me feel very comfortable. The room was great I loved my view
One of the greatest hotels in all America. Outstanding service. Gorgeous rooftop. Spacious rooms with stunning bathrooms. Overall a 10.
I was definitely disappointed with the size of the bed as well as the comfort of the bed. The location is not great either. A heavy price for an average hotel I have stayed at less expensive hotels and the layout of the room , towels, bedding have been way better than here. Now they did make up for it. with their hospitality... the staff was amazing
Love it!
I like to visit Dallas when I see that there are concerts that I like, I always try to stay close to the venue where the concert will be but this time I can say that this hotel is my new favorite in the city, without a doubt I would stay again.
Nice hotel although the view from the king deluxe rooms are TERRIBLE! I really wish that was in the description of the room or even the pictures. I really did not enjoy that, my view was a rusty wall… There were a few thing in my room that could have been fixed prior to my booking like the tub drain being broken so the water would not stay in and some of the lights needed new light bulbs. Also there is no fridge or microwave in the rooms which was super inconvenient.. especially for the price of the hotel. The hotel in all is nice but some things are lacking for the price.
Great but dated and expensivd
Hotel and as dated, and very expensive We had to ask for our room to made up and fresh towels. The buttons in the bathroom where falling off and the main switch bored that controls the room was faulty Bed was comfy amazing bathroom for the price they should include breakfast
Staff was amazing
Overall it was average. Some of the staff/valet people were rude. Expected better hospitality.
I really enjoyed my stay here and the options regarding duning in the area!
Very nice property and great staff the rooms are clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely come back
Was expecting more with the renovations that had been done. Hotel seemed tired and definitely not worth the cost.
Room was literally broken
First Time Stay
One word - comforting! Upon walking in, it was a friendly vibe and welcoming staff.
It was just ok.
My stay was nice. Though I do wish that the hotel was in a better part of town, scenery wise but nonetheless, it was surrounded by amazing restaurants.
DUN trip
Hotel was nice andocated centrally in the art district. Both our events (Majestic Theatre and Winspear Opera House) were within 1 mile walling distance. Only downal would be at noce seemed mkke a lot of underage kids running arouns
Great
loved everything except the breakfast!
Good hotel overall but would never stay here again. Valet literally took 30 minutes to retrieve the car. The hotel is so noisy like a club and front desk did nothing.
Staff
The stay was wonderful the room air just wasn’t good
Literally the best hotel I have ever stayed in today. The rooms were clean, beautiful and the staff are extremely accommodating.
It was amazing experience.
Things we did not like - no door to toilet - unable to reach the front desk from phone in room -unable to turn off light in bathroom (next to bedroom) - only one small trash can in a three room suite - lobby and restaurant was frigid. Temp outside was cold but wasn’t there a way to keep the areas a little warmer? - there is a couple hour window where there are no dining options in the day time hours On a positive note…the bellman Scott was wonderful. Overall…lots of fluff without some basic needs being met
Excellent!!!
Amazing property and staff
It was the best stay I’ve ever had
This was one of the nicest, cleanest and biggest rooms we have ever stayed in. This hotel is beautiful! All of the staff from front desk to bell captain to restaurant staff were all so friendly, polite and professional! We just loved every minute!
Unfriendly, rude front desk & bad housekeeping service
Terrible experience
We had to be moved to another room because our initial room had urine stains in the tub. When we moved to the new room you could see chips and cracks in the tub, the water didn’t really get hot enough and the pillows were super flat.
Beautiful place!!
Great
The room was nice, but there was no fridge, I have never stayed in a super nice hotel like this that didn't have a fridge. I had to go buy a cooler and cold packs to keep my snacks and leftovers cold.
Awesome
Room was dirty, handles didn’t work on bathtub, tub stopper didn’t work, no water pressure to rinse off the soap and room wasn’t cleaned well at all
Will definitely return
We had a few hiccups at the beginning but the staff and management at the starlet were amazing. We were there for an anniversary trip and they made it very special
Loved that the housekeeper would text me to see if I needed anything for my room. That was a great feature. Staff are so friendly and considerate. Room was beautiful especially the bathroom. I had a suite so it may have been a little more elaborate than a regular king or queen. Shower was amazing! The soap, shampoo and conditioner are fixed to the wall. Love it! Elevators are painfully slow. They need to figure that out. The smell in the hallways is wonderful. An excellent first experience in Dallas at The Statler.
Just ok
Nice hotel, very noisy in my particular room, up most of the night. Staff need’s work, expectations of this type of hotel from staff not very good.
The cleaning staff stole many of our items. When we asked the front desk they did not seem to care. They acted like this happens all the time. Do NOT stay here super dirty and unsafe!!!
The hotel staff were all so friendly and courteous!
Nice retro hotel, roomy and with modern features
Definitely will return
Wonderful.
Overrated
Very nice hotel, small rooms. My AC did not cool well. I love into my sisters room. She had move room because neighboring room had a water leak. The ice machine was releasing some black stuff I thought were bugs but they were not bugs, unsure of what it was . Staff was kind/ polite.
Fire alarms going off multiple times was a downer and made it a long night…..
Loved the rooftop bar. Beautiful amenities.
Better options out there
I wanted a romantic weekend in Dallas. I paid extra for a suite. The shampoo and soap dispensers were broken and empty and stayed that way. The room smelled musty. The service staff at the hotel club were below average as was the cuisine. The bell hops were great. The check in desk was helpful and polite. I was able to check in early which was convenient. The rooftop bar is cool and the speak easy hideaway is cool. The history of the clientele served as the impetus for my hotel selection. I will stay at the Adolphus next time I stay downtown. For the same money the hotel experience a few blocks away is light years away.
Solo trip
I had a great stay and there was so much to do on property. The only issue I had was with the A/C. It wasn’t cooling and it took a while to cool down once they got the problem fixed.
Room was nice and clean. Some outlets did not work. Valet popped one of my tires. Do NOT recommend valet
Don’t book
This hotel was the worst hotel we ever stayed at. To the valet they weren’t attentive if they didn’t approach you to the front desk rude there was only one available elevator that was working the entire stay so to get to the lobby it took 10 minutes. Check-in was not at four it was at five the rooms smell like a wet smell. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at never again.
