TravellerThe Royce is a beautiful updated older boutique hotel located a 25 min walk from Foundation square, and only 5 min from the Botanical Gardens. There are a few restaurants, bars and grocery store very close by for those who don’t want to go downtown. The staff couldn’t be more professional and welcoming- shout out to James and Ella.

TravellerThe property has been recently renovated. It showcases old school Hollywood glamor with soft shades of purple, classic glass fixtures and plush couches. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, jumping at any opportunity to help. The location is minutes to the CBD by car and to the Botanical Garden by foot. The Showcase Bar is just that, a showcase. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again. Very special kudos to Nate and Kelly.
TravellerAn ok 4* but not a 5. We found the balcony room small for the ratings. No we were not allowed to have a yoga mat to use in our room. Mo theres only 1 pillow type and our $1600 wasnt enough to send someone out to get us a choice. No, we cant have a spare bed runner to use as a pillow, theres none to spare(?!!). No, there is no pool, no spa. The team are friendly, but have very firm limits on how far theyll go to help.

But noisy outside because of some roadworks but still lovely and quiet when we sat on our balcony for morning coffee. The shower had a minor issue was was fixed in minutes, so professional and responsive.

Wow. The Royce is on the level of some of the best hotels I have stayed in. Think the Surrey and the Mark in New York, but at a fraction of the price. The room was gorgeous Art Deco modern. Spacious bathroom. Nice sheets and bed. Lovely balcony looking out through the trees onto green grounds. The restaurant was excellent; good dishes and excellent service. The bar was our favorite. It is also gorgeous and has plenty of room to spread out and relax.
