A great family resort!
Very nice stay and everyone was super friendly. This is a great resort, especially for families. Only negative was the pizza we ordered—truly awful pizza. Avoid that. LOL Can highly recommend the Ritz/Amelia!
WE asked for an ocean front room and paid the price but the room's view of the ocean was only from the outside terrace and then just a sliver.
Outstanding service and dining. Wonderful beach and pool amenities. Comfortable luxury.
This is the worst Ritz Carlton I have ever been to. It just seemed like a run of the mill Marriot.
Accommodations were very nice. Staff helpful and friendly.
A truly wonderful stay and experience.
We arrived to complimentary champagne upon check in. We let them know we were celebrating our 40 Year Wedding Anniversary and they took it upon themselves to pamper us throughout our stay. We received complementary meals, desserts and a bottle of champagne. It seemed as though the entire staff knew we were celebrating and took an active part in making every facet of our trip memorable. The resort is clean, and the staff is courteous and responsive. There so many things that are included that you can leave your worries at home. If you're looking for a luxury resort, The Ritz won't disappoint.
Very nice Too expensive especially extra charge for parking
Service was amazing! Our room was clean and well kept. No complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was incredible. Breakfast Buffet incredible. Beach and Pooltop notch.
Great!
Amazing please
Relaxing
Very beautiful location. Everything you need is there. Unfortunately, major renovations were taking place at the time we stayed.
Fantastic!!!
Handy for our driving trip to Fla
I had the most unforgettable, luxurious experience at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island! Thank you to all of the staff for providing exceptional service! The food was impeccable, and my room was extremely comfortable with breathtaking views of the ocean which made my stay even more magical! Thank you again for a spectacular time!
Amazing
Not what I expected from a Ritz Carollton Hotel
This was not a typical Ritz Carlton experience. This is a very large hotel that caters to conventions. We paid over $1,000 a night and the accommodations were not up to the price that we paid. The service requires more attention to detail. The food and beverage program needs a lot of work. We tried cocktails and food at two different restaurant on the location and everything that we tried was not very good. They had a party at the hotel and left all the tables and chairs on the property day after party and there was trash scattered around. At the price that they offer they need to upgrade service, room accommodations and the food and beverage experience.
Putting on the Ritz
Excellent in all ways! Great honeymoon location
The property was very clean and really enjoyed the peace and quiet.
60th Birthday Bash!!
AMAZING,FANTASTIC, SUPERB!!! STAFF WAS PHENOMENAL!!!! FOOD WAS OUT OF SIGHT! THE ATMOSPHERE WAS RELAXING AND HEALING!!
The staff is wonderful
From the moment we arrived it was special! My son and I were visiting the area for the first time and I wanted an amazing experience. We got it at this hotel. Beautiful rooms, views, staff and service. We will go back again and again.,
I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the spa...pool...next time :-)
Racial profiling at its finest. Staff at the restaurant insisted that i pay for my meal after placing my order. In her words" just in case people walk out without paying, she wont get fired" sadly i will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Luxury and fun!
We chose this as a destination for a couples weekend with friends. The resort was beautiful, accommodations were nice and the people were friendly!
Top drawer
Nice getaway
Weather was chilly and windy but the hotel is very nice, the lobby bar has music from 4:30-8:30 and the sushi options were delicious,
The Ritz-Carlton in the standard-bearer for excellence. The Amelia Island property continues that standard. The facilities are excellent and the location on the beach is idyllic. Wonderful staff, a friendly, caring management team, wonderful restaurants and you describe the Ritz-Carlton. Clearly at the top of the list....First Class all the way! Thanks for a great stay. We will be back!
All good
Arrived with my kids on a road trip at
Awesome
Amazing stay.... Will return
Average restaurant on property. Salt really average. Good sushi. Good SPA.
Valet staff very friendly
Great place to have memorable vacations, we had an had an amazing anniversary.
Disappointed 😞
This is the worst Ritz I have ever stayed in.. The staff did not seem to know what was going on , the floors needed to be cleaned. The food was sub par . It was just very odd for a Ritz Very disappointed all around..
Grossly overpriced and underwhelmed!!
Although the hotel staff was excellent, It still did'nt justify the exhorbant cost. My husband and I had been so excited about our get away after this year and half and ended up so disappointed. Hotel lobby entrance so small as well as the pool area. Good luck getting a lounge chair. We kept looking for the The Ritz-Carlton WOW factor, not here! Coast was the only available restaurant due the limitations of diners at Salt reservations are weeks in advance. You had the choice of pool/bar restaurant which was basically a bar. Coast was mediocre at best. The rooms where very small and needed an update but, the bed was comforable. In fact the hotel as a whole needed an update. Be aware that the North side of the hotel has the restaurants,(no coffee shop)shops, and pool area. Nothing on the south side. Why not another pool? I won't be returning to this place unless I win the lottery! Well, probably not then either.
I was surprised the rates doubled at this hotel but The service was cut in half.
Beautiful facility. World class service. Worth the money.
Beautiful property and location with great amenities.
Great experience. I would look for Ritz property my first choice.
One night in town
Everything was excellent but the mattresses were way too soft.
The entire Ritz staff was Amazing :)
The entire staff at the Ritz were AMAZING !!! From the front desk, pool/beach to all the restaurants, everyone went above and beyond to make your stay excellent. The resort itself was okay. I was a little disappointed in the size of the pool area. It seemed very small for a resort this size.
My wife and I decided to drive four hours to Amelia Island since we had heard so many wonderful things about the island. Upon checking in we were greeted by a sweet and kind receptionist. She was lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately that is where the Ritz Carlton quality stopped. Being Labor Day weekend and along with multiple weddings you could see the rest of the staff was overwhelmed and struggled to handle the flow. Often times throughout our stay there was no one to be found to answer simple questions or staff was rude and seemed to busy to answer our questions. At this point we just stopped asking anyone anything. We dined at Salt twice and although the food was delicious the service from Matt on the first night and Patty on the second night was hardly top quality. Both talked about having worked there for years but apparently forgot that this was our first experience and didn’t seem to put forth the effort one would come to expect from a hotel of this caliber. We were left at one point for over 30 minutes without anyone coming to our table or clearing our plates. We actually skipped dessert so we could just leave and walk off our frustrations. I will have to say the general manager at Salt was very kind but unfortunately did not over shadow the overall poor dining experience. We spent a lot of money and know we had lot of options to choose from, So this point it is hard to think we will go back to this property. Very disappointing!
We arrived later in the evening and they were already done with room service at 10 pm.
Had a great stay over the 4th of July weekend. Outdoor BBQ, Ice cream truck and fireside s’mores!
It was beautiful and a lovely time! I would have liked tea or coffee at the spa and zen music in the lounging areas of the spa but overall excellent choice!
There was a dead roach in my room. Also, we got woken up by an alarm clock that we didn't set at 5:00 AM. They have an indoor pool that was "closed out of an abundance of caution". The menus at the restaurants were also abbreviated. I still paid twice as much here as I've ever paid for a hotel. The hotel was nice, but for the price, I was expecting more.
The property was absolutely beautiful, along with the hotel. It was also great that there are five different options for eating right at the hotel. You essentially do not even need to leave the property if you choose not to.
Great hotel Bathrooms are not up to par
Suite Bathrooms need upgraded significantly. Very old tubs a lot of wasted space
Fantastic Views and Service, but not worth price
We stayed at the Ritz for our wedding night. We were treated very well and had an awesome view of the ocean but for the money I would not stay again. The Omni down the street is less than half the price with a million other activities to keep you busy. There are also better option downtown for couples.
Great getaway vacation
Very nice
Beautiful Resort
Really loved this amazing, out-of-the-way property. The beach was pristine, as was the hotel. Looking forward to a return trip.
First Class Sevice
My husband and I stayed here to celebrate his birthday and everything about our stay was first class. We received such wonderful service and they staff went out of there way to spoil my husband with champagne and chocolates. I have to say it was an amazing experience.
I liked the overall “upscale resort” feeling! Warm and attentive staff everywhere. We reserved an oceanfront suite and thought it was lovely EXCEPT for the money we paid, the sofa in the suite was so SUB- STANDARD for the Ritz Carlton brand name!
I liked everything about it. This is my second visit and I am always impressed with the property and the staff.
Nothing was special, the room was very old and not clean. Furniture needs remodeling. What I liked about our room was the patio.
Lovely property!
Stayed for a long weekend with my adult daughter. Really beautiful property and lovely spa with adult only pool. Too cold for beach which is great for walking. Paid up for an ocean view. Decor is a bit dated. Staff in restaurants, front desk, spa and gym were all great. Only complaint is that it is really expensive so it was a splurge.
Top notch, staff is extremely professional and genuinely helpful!
Excellent customer service. Great restaurant at Salt. Very nice all over - need nicer toilet paper
Perfect place to relax. My fiancé and I absolutely loved it here.
Beautiful property and wonderful staff . Great restaurant.
the ground is very well kept. Every room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the garden or beach. The menu at the Ocean & Bar Grill needs serious makeover.
I enjoyed my stay and my birthday! I definitely will be staying again! Thank you!
Pool area under sized for luxury property, lobby very noisy , check in area too small. This is a fine hotel put not a “grand resort “.
Extraordinary service. Great facilities and good food.
We overall enjoyed our stay- very nice restaurants, bar area, excellent service at the pool. Our room had a bit of a tired feel, and we did have some issues with our room being cleaned. Overall, it’s good, but the price is steep for the general feel of the room. You already pay a premium for food, drink, parking, and a resort fee so I just had a bit higher expectations when compared to other Ritz hotels we have experienced.
Very well kept property and staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Great location, lots of amenities, and wonderful food.
Overall a wonderful property. Service is top knotch
Amazing hotel and service
They treat you so well here. There is always a friendly faced greeting from everyone you met. The staff goes out of their way to meet your needs. This is truly a luxury vacation get away. The beach was beautiful, the grounds are neat and the activities they have put together are family friendly and interesting to my children.
excellent service I left my bathrobe and they had it and shipped it gratis
The Ritz Carlton... Simply amazing.
Impeccable service, and packable food, everything that you would expect from the Ritz Carlton you were fine here. This was a very special time for us and you made it even better, thank you
Not worth the money for a poor experience
Nice family atmosphere and a variety of restaurants to fit all tastes. Amazing staff.
Location staff service efficiency of service quality of dining facilities
Beautiful property and excellent service
Everything was 100% absolutely amazing. The only comment that I can even make is that we had almost no water pressure for our shower. But other than that I highly recommend the Ritz. Especially at Christmas time! And especially be sure to utilize the spa services.
Beautiful hotel with superb service and amenities on the ocean. Five stars ⭐️ + in my opinion.
Lacking Ritz-ness
Breakfast buffet disappointing. Bar in lobby SO loud we couldn’t understand what Front Desk was saying at checkin. Maid never seemed to get room restock right: if had coffee then no condiments. often left 3 bathing gels but no shampoo. Little stuff like that made for disappointment. Ritz suppose to be better!
Great hotel and friendly staff. Very family friendly. Close to beach.
Not up to the Ritz standard.
wow beautiful beach, convenient location. Great time of the year to go, very quite.
Wonderful property. Attentive staff that went above and beyond to create what the Ritz Carlton of old is known for.
Staff was outstanding as usual, room and all services or outstanding as usual. Price was high but expected because it is the Ritz Carlton hotel So really can’t complain.
Beautiful Property but numerous issues
Checked into a room with broken glass all over the patio, that couldn’t be cleaned up completely until the next morning - No lighting in Patio area. Both Room service orders were either wrong or incomplete. Charged my credit card as if I was checking out after 48 hours, when in fact we are booked for 7 nights. Errors on Bill- charged for items incorrectly. Staff - Thomas @ the Front Desk is a superb host, and so is Joel Painter and in room dining waiter - Jill - was lovely.
Nice hotel but not quite up to the Ritz standard
The property and hotel is very nice and all the restaurants are GREAT - especially a good deal for the kids. When we arrived, we could not check in until 4:30 (check in time is 4 & we arrived @ 1) and no one offered even a free drink. We were told that it was because we wanted to be close to our friends but when we finally got to our room, we were very far apart! We received turn down service once (which was lovely) & it took many hours to have our room cleaned each day (sometimes past 5pm). For Ritz prices - the service was disappointing. It seems like they had too many guests for the staff they had.
Best family friendly place
Great facilities, lots to do for the kids. Service was a bit slower than I would have expected but the hotel and grounds are awesome. Food is amazing.
Great trip.
Perfect getaway
Great room staff excellent as always. Outstanding spa with plenty of dining options.
The location is amazing and everyone who works there is incredibly courteous. Went as an escape with my spouse. I was a little irritated that the hotel charges extra for things like wifi given that those things are usually included in four star hotels. Also, and perhaps this is because so many people pass through, there is no complimentary coffee for breakfast ($4 a cup) and no complimentary breakfast. On a positive, the restaurant, Coast, was terrific. Room was lovely. Elevator music in lobby is so unfortunate.
Deluxe Escape
This is the top of the line for any beach advernture...the area hard to beat
Double full size beds are too small for two adult and two children. The management may consider to change into double queen size bed instead.
Excellent
Wonderful experience. Gorgeous location and view. Service as expected for a Ritz-level Hotel.
Great location
Well situated on beach and near town. Great dining options nearby and Salt at Ritz is very good. Multiple broken video games in kids game room and limited kids options and activities during our stay.
Over rated & over priced.
Very poor New Tears Eve event. It turned into a rout for kids.
Holiday and Anniversary Delight
We couldn’t have been more pleased from the first valet greeting to check in, to room service and the special treatment we received at the Ritz’s “Salt” 5 Star restaurant. A fine way to celebrate our 35th anniversary and to welcome in the holidays! It will be a great tradition each year!
NOT as advertised !
No Heat, Broken clocks, Broken Phone, Broken CoffeeMaker, Sauna Closed for repair, Indoor Pool closed for repair, Adjacent Rooms under repair by workmen, One of Two Elevators inoperative for repair, Wrong Address on our invoicing, Many Extra Charges for items we did not use (ie:bikes) or were closed for repair, etc. STAFF were EXCELLENT and apologized a lot and did their best to accommodate. Problem is Management. This facility is NOT up to standards of RITZ-CARLTON, with the exception of “SALT” which clearly earned THEIR 5STARS. We were NOT advised upon booking nor upon checking in that the room components would be broken/unuseable, many amenities would be unavailable throughout the facility and enjoyable experience as advertised would not be possible. We will NOT assume Ritz-Carlton is a safe choice in the future as in the past.
Very private, quiet
