When you stay at The Pillars, you’re transported to yesteryear, when things were quieter, softer, more genteel than present day. Even the house cats seem relaxed, as they casually study the guests and decide to offer you their welcome. The surroundings, from decor to bed linens are sumptuous, and the overall feeling is one of quiet discovery as you imagine yourself living there in a different century.
Maddison and Grayson were delightful. We also enjoyed their cat! The property is ideally located for exploring Natchez on foot.
We enjoyed the history of the home and the great location. The gardens were beautiful. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. While our stay was short, we rested well. The room was comfortable.
My husband and I stayed at the Pillars for 3 nights. It was our first time to visit Natchez and the stay in a historic home was a wonderful part of our experience. The house is convenient to many of the pilgrimage home tours we took and close to other attractions in historic Natchez. We had a great breakfast each morning at the Guest House Inn and Restaurant via a voucher from our hosts. The property was very private and quiet and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on. Our hosts were very gracious and provided us with everything we needed. We definitely recommend The Pillars for your travel to Natchez.
This home is so beautiful and well-maintained. It was decorated beautifully and their dog and cats are really friendly and help visitors feel like they're at home! Everything was super clean too and the house stays quiet so no one's disturbing you. It's also walking distance to the downtown area and there are shaded sidewalks for most of the walk. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and I can't recommend the city or this house enough for anyone interested in getting away for a little bit!
Owners are very nice and accommodating.
Beautiful gem
The bed was comfortable and we left the door open so one of the very friendly cats slept with us, a bonus as far as we were concerned. Des and Paulette were friendly and helpful. We missed the first day’s breakfast, which is off-site, because we weren’t paying attention to the 10 am cutoff time, but it was Easter Sunday, and we found a great brunch nearby. Everything was easy walking distance, but dinner places were limited, again because it was Easter Sunday.
The property is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. I loved the balcony and the courtyard. Our room was pretty with a four poster bed. Our hosts were wonderful and were very helpful in regards to local restaurants and things to do. Although the breakfast was delicious, you have to go to another bed and breakfast to get breakfast. The only awkward thing was that we were unable to lock our room when we left for the day although we could put our valuables in a safe in our room. We loved our stay and had a great time in Natchez.
Beautiful home with lovely decor. Very nice and helpful owner.
Very Happy
Our stay at The Pillars was relaxing and very enjoyable. The Crains are wonderful hosts with a beautiful home. The Guest Apartment was cozy, quiet and eclectically decorated making our stay everything we expected and more.
My husband and I along with our small dog Remi decided on a last minute getaway to Natchez. This was our first experience at staying in a bed and breakfast. We had such a lovely time. The Crain’s made us feel so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Frankie and Sherlock also. The house and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We look forward to visiting again hopefully real soon.
I have two issues regarding The Pillars. First: This is not a "Bed and Breakfast." Breakfast is not available on the site. We received a voucher for a free breakfast at another facility, four blocks away from The Pillars. A Keurig Coffee maker was available on our floor, unfortunately the brand of coffee provided was terrible! Second: The bathroom's floor had a decided tilt that made getting to the toilet or taking a shower like being on stormy seas!
We both loved everything. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect trip.
Enjoyed The Pillars B&B in Natchez,MS. The family was great and the accommodations were lovely!! We especially enjoyed Sherlock, Frankie and Ava. Des and Paulette are very nice and helpful.
Great condition for a house built in 1870.
Nice property and staff
The Pillars
Beautiful historic home conveniently location to downtown shopping dinning and entertainment.
Great location in historic area. No complaints.
Too Short a stay to enjoy loved it
Just a one night stay but it was great experience as the room was so beautiful. Our host was always available and if you are a pet lover what a bonus as the family pet dog and cat always want attention. Private gated parking for out motorcycles was perfect. Breakfast provided by first class restaurants only blocks away. Don’t stay on a hotel unless you desire a crowd. Will be back.
Sherlock was the star of the show! The cute doggy that greets you. The house was amazing and was in a great location to walk everywhere. During check in, maps and activities were given to us and we had a tour around the house. Natchez is a beautiful place with lots of restaurants and stores to explore. Definitely recommend.
Des and Paulette are excellent hosts and the property is both gorgeous and comfortable! We will be back!
The furnishings are awesome. The house was built in 1870, and I lived in homes built in 1885, 1822, and 1862. So, it was right up my alley. Natchez is lovely, and much nicer than Vicksburg. The temperatures were quite high, so we didn't walk too much around town, but in cooler months strolling around would be a treat. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay. Beautiful period furnishings. Close to local restaurants and shopping. The owners live on site.
Amazing place. Clean, historic and great hospitality. Couldn't be better.
Charming B&B with gracious and interesting hosts. We also enjoyed the company of their dog and cats, who made us feel welcome as well. Would absolutely stay here again.
Dez and Paulette have a fantastic home! There was some rennovation going on, but it wasn't too intrusive. We enjoyed our stay and love how quiet and clean it was.
Just three rooms. Beautiful rooms. Very classy.
Dez and his wife were perfect hosts. Sherlock the Scottie provides an enthusiastic greeting when a guest arrives. Bill
Luxurious conditions at a very reasonable price. Definitely would stay here again.
Des and Paulette’s home is beautiful, immaculate, and comfortable. Our guest room had the most comfortable bed, our own bathroom, TV, and ceiling fan. Parking during the day is across the street, at night in their carport which is gated.
Just what we needed
Convenient comfortable stay.
Beautiful home and great location
Paulette was very welcoming, I regret not having the time to speak with her more about her life and adventures. *I think she was famous at some point in life! Sherlock, the newest welcoming committee was a GREAT surprise. :) The Red Room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable, good thing because I came back with a migraine one day. Everything was in walking distance along with a historic walk down any street to downtown Natchez. My only issue was I was not informed of the extra charge for the "breakfast voucher" which we never used. Otherwise I would absolutely stay again!
it was very beautiful and restfull we enjoyed it very much would go back
suppose to be PET friendly, only if they're CAGED. I/we were asked to leave and had to fine a place at the last minute. Didn't even spend one night. I will NEVER recommend The Pillars to anyone !!!
Wonderful Experience!
This was such a wonderful treasure and experience. The owners were SUPER friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was delicious and the room was very luxurious. I highly recommend if you stay in Natchez to partake of staying in this lovely home. We definitely look forward to staying with them in the future.
This property is a unique B&B. For starters, the house and furnishings are magnificent. You just don't find opulence like this anywhere. Also, the host Des was very gracious, helpful and accommodating. The bed in the Guest room was very comfortable, and the continental breakfast included fresh fruit and excellent coffee. The garden is also spectacular. We will return on our next visit to Natchez!
Pillars Bed and Breakfast In Natchez, MS
It was a great visit. Our first bead and breakfast as a couple. The historic city was great and the bed and breakfast helped to fit the experience.
Amazing house. Very nicely decorated with antique furniture and very clean. Dez was a really great host! Highly recommended if you’re looking to stay in a mansion in Natchez.
😊🙌😊
Just Great 😊
Hosts were more than helpful in finding Restaurants we desired, very welcoming and inviting . I feel we made new friends.
EXCELLENT Home!
This house was very charming and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and I HIGHLY recommend this B&B to everyone traveling to Natchez. We will be back to visit and definitely stay at The Pillars!
Gorgeous home and gracious hosts. Will stay there again!
Great very clean very pretty Tried hard to meet your needs
First Timers at Bed and Breakfast
First timers with a BnB, was not very impressed and may not stay in another BnB. The Host was nice enough but was disorienting. Our room was not secured. We felt that anyone could walk through the front door and up to our room and steal our property if we weren't there; the rooms should have locks. There was no breakfast to speak of; limited continental breakfast, which we decided not to use.
Nicest hosts, fantastic accommodations
Paulette and Des are the nicest hosts, and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is amazing. From the continental breakfast, to the beautiful home decorations and proximity to downtown Natchez, you will not be disappointed. We stayed in “The Guest Room” one of three accommodations. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on.
Our stay at the Pillars was amazing. The property was beautiful and the hosts were very kind and accommodating.
We had a great time. The owners are gracious hosts. Would definitely stay again

I like the furniture and layout. Breakfast location was not walkable. The air condition thermostat was located in a different room where the other tenant set the temperature very cold and made our room freezing cold. We have to wear jackets to stay warm. By closing the vents made it a little warmer but forced air flow was louder and made it hard to sleep.
