We were very happy with the hotel. Clean, nice staff and safe area.
Family
Good for what we needed, safe area, easy access to tube for airport and attractions. Large room. Negatives - central heating in our room broken (unsure if under repair or an issue throughout the hotel). Other minor maintenance issues e.g. ripped/torn carpet in halls, water damage to underside of bathroom door. Cot mattress provided was too big for cot. No ramp to access building for prams/suitcases.
The room was considerably larger than what the photos illustrate. The location is great and in a very quiet neighborhood, but still within a 5 minute walk to the nearest Tube station. There is a Sainsbury grocery just around the corner that has all the basics you might need. Good restaurants are numerous and close, not to mention a wonderful one downstairs.
Stay was enjoyable
Great place to stay in Kensington!
The room was lovely - and on such a quiet street, just perfect for us as light sleepers. Staff were prompt to look into and slight issues - we hope that that a plumber has come in to fix the very annoying basin plug and check a crack in the same basin, already there before our arrival. Very pleasant and friendly staff.
Felt like London!
We arrived super early from a long flight from the states. Our room ready so they allowed us to check-in, no extra fees, no extra things to sign. We loved the room, felt like London. The staff were always helpful. We were impressed. Highly recommend, we will return!
All great except rock hard pillows and mattress
Good location, and great bathroom amenities a 10 min walk from underground. However beds and pillows were rock solid!
Only issue its parking are around
Overall good.
Had a great time. Rooms are of great size and bathrooms are pretty big. Anything we needed, within minutes was delivered upstairs. Overall, great experience.
Nice
Excellent location everything was superb during my stay.
We enjoyed our stay, the area was very nice and the bed was very comfortable!
Good enough
A bit dated but very good for the price. Only downside is not much pay and display parking there and it is expensive to park
Very comfortable. Needs a bar!!😂
Our family of four were very comfortable in the large family accommodation. Clean, quiet, easy walk to transportation.
Good location within easy walking distance to Earl’s Court and Gloucester Road underground stations. Excellent Sainsbury’s grocery store next door.
Vanuit de Metro 10 minuten lopen. mooie kamer, ontbijt hebben wij niet genomen. zeer vriendelijk personeel.
The room was nice, but the beds were very uncomfortable and very firm. The WiFi was very spotty in our room.
C & T VISIT
Excellent accommodation in a nice area. Very clean and warm. Powerful shower
Great area..average/old property and furnishing.
This place is wonderful - great neighborhood - walking distance to the tube and a lot of great eateries close by! The room was immaculate and the staff beyond kind.
It’s definitely an older building there are many much needed updates. However, I had a very pleasant stay and the stuff was so helpful and kind.
We arrived at the hotel after being awake for 28 hours. We were exhausted and just wanted to go to sleep in our room. However, when we got to the room there was no heat, ie the vents weren’t working, and because management obviously knew it wasn’t working, they had placed two crappy electric oil heaters in the room. Despite this half hearted attempt to heat the room, the small heaters were hopelessly inadequate as the room had 15 foot ceilings. The room was freezing. We went down to the desk and complained, and they said they knew about the issue, saying it was “limited.” However, they weren’t very apologetic about it. We asked to be moved to another room, but staff didn’t really want to comply, saying it could be arranged for the following night. Also, while we like a firm bed, this was by far the hardest bed we had ever slept in. We complained about it as well, and a couple of thin toppers were brought up. Staff informed us the beds were exactly the same in every room. We decided to leave but we weren’t guaranteed we’d be refunded for the remaining two nites. Apparently that was up to the discretion of the reservationist. We never heard back from them as promised, so we called the desk in the AM and inquired - they knew Nothing about it and apparently, the email they had promised to send the reservationist was never sent. Finally at the 11th hour (literally, ie checkout time,) we heard they had deigned to refund us for the outstanding two nites. Never. Going. Back.
Room size is relatively large. Easy walk to Earl's court station. Pillow has bad smell, but staff was quick to offer replacement. Missing a desk lamp, but staff was willing to find me one after two calls.
Perfect!
The room was very clean but it was very hot. The staff did bring us a few floor standing fans to make the temperature more bearable.
Great place to stay
Excellent location, impeccable deco and condition of room. Spacious, clean and comfortable.
Near transportation access. Nice area and accessible to Hop On Hop Up station to check in.
Very good
The property is beautiful however everything about the use of the room was not explained.
Excellent hotel in London
Staff were rude every time we interacted with them, the room was exceptionally noisy. Either someone inside the hotel or just outside played Indian music until 2am every night of our stay.
The staff were all do lovely, the room was exactly what we needed and looked just like the photos, very clean and most importantly very safe and close to trains and buses
Located on a very pretty street convenient to the Underground and traveling from Heathrow. Easy walk to sights around Kensington.
We could not have been happier with this hotel choice. Yes, the hotel could use some sprucing up. However, the location was wonderful. Walking distance to the tube, easy to grab a taxi or a bus. And, of course, what makes any service-oriented business special are the staff. The staff could not have been friendlier, more willing to help, and pleasant.
This time we got a room with a king and a twin bed. The room is spacious, comfortable. They provide plenty of tea bags and cookies. Small fridge adequate to hold up snacks and fresh fruits. Generous clean towels and amenities provided. 7 min walk to Tube station Earl’s Court and walkable distance to the lively South Kensington and Gloucher Rd. The place seems a bit running down. A good upkeep would make it a perfect stay
The staff was welcoming and so helpful with directions to places I wanted to visit. It was a short but sweet stay!
Walkable to most of the tourist places, to train station and to restaurants.
The room was decent and reception staff were fine but for some reason the hotel tried to take funds before my arrival, which I wasn’t able to authorise with my bank, also I had t anticipated this as this was not part of the agreed booking through Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel they had cancelled my booking and Tina the reservations manager didn’t come out and speak to me directly but when the reception staff asked her about the reservations she said “the woman doesn’t have any money so I cancelled her booking” and she made other unpleasant remarks which is just unprofessional and frankly put the lady at reception in an uncomfortable position. I checked my Expedia messages and I had received a message that morning but I was at work so hadn’t seen the message. If she had telephoned I would have been able to have a conversation. I appreciate hotels may have admin procedures but to travel to London and arrive at the hotel and be treated disrespectfully sadly took the edge of enjoying the break.
Big room with lots of space. Good location.
It was a little off the beaten path.. so we used taxis for getting around, disappointed with the attitude when we arrived early from the desk clerk. Very noisy alarms went off 3 times (in the middle of the night) they just shrugged it off.... very strange - i would not stay here again, they said the restaurant opened at 7:30 a.m - it never opened... i would definitely NOT GO BACK
The restaurant was not very good
Grand Plaza
Very satisfied. It was everything we could wish for a one night stay.
?
One of the best house cleaning staff i ever seen the place is spotless i have stayed at 5 star hotels that staff was not as attentive
Convenient to Underground
Convenient location, very comfortable
Checking in was rough due to hotel sold out and the reservation we made many months ago didn’t exist. After the first day, we were moved in a better room with elevator and cleaning services every day. Gym was minimal, the restaurant partner was mediocre. Location was good, close to tube station with popular lines. Internet was weak. Overall, good price, good location, good cleaning. Everything else was not impressive
The man at the desk when we arrived was not very friendly, it seemed like we were bothering him. The only nice thing he did for us was the first room we had the air conditioning would not work. The man at the desk did give us another room. The same man was at the desk for checkout, he again was very unfriendly. He did not ask how our stay was or even thank us for staying. The other people at the desk were very friendly.
Nice staff, great location. Beds were too stiff and uncomfortable, not suitable for someone that needs assistance with getting in and out of bathtub.
Not what we expected!
The room was spacious, but didn’t have a view so the window was frosted, so he room was semi disabled however the toilet was a nightmare to use as the basin was very close restricting access and the basin was far too low to use. The walk in shower wasn’t correctly drained and flowed all over the tiled floor creating a hazard and toilet seat did not fit . So the room did not meet expectations for us and I doubt it would be suitable for a disabled person.
Meh
room was supposed to be "family" with two beds, not pull out sofa. Room smelled like smoke.
A lovely and incredibly convenient hotel in South Kensington. Walking distance to the Tube, Kensington Gardens, the Museum of Natural History, Notting Hill, and Knightsbridge. The hotel is in a lovely and quiet street off Cromwell Road (which is busy), the staff is very helpful and accommodating, the hotel is simple and clean, and the rooms are spacious. An excellent experience
Good service.
Upon our arrival, the elevator was out of order, so we had to carry our luggage and shopping bags up the stairs for two days. 😔
The carpet in my floor was filthy and there was mold in my bathroom!
Better use the Earl Court underground station
Péssimo
Péssima Cofre não funcionava Elevador quebrado. Subimos 4 andares com as malas em escadas estreitas e nem nos ofereçam ajuda. Café da manhã péssimo por 15 libras / pessoa. Funcionário do café mal humorado. Não voltaria
Mychoice
Wonderful hotel, very comfortable, quiet and very clean.. excellent staff and service.
Walk to Kensington palace and tube to Heathrow
During our five night stay, we returned from sightseeing to a spotless room. Earls Court tube was an eight minute walk, and plenty of quick food options, and a few restaurants, along with an M&S for waters or snacks. Desk clerk was efficient checking in and out, and we were grateful for an early checkin. Our room 104 was a little noisy, since it faced the street, and people commuting and conversing late at night or early in AM was annoying.
Got there after difficult day of travel and was shown to a below ground room. In the morning there were no options for breakfast other than the $20 buffet. Also, the coffee pot had a six inch cord which could not be plugged into an outlet from a table or counter. We had to turn a wastebasket on its side. Just a lees than enjoyable one-night stay.
Good location The elevator was out of service for 4 days
Nice walkable neighborhood. Staff were poorly trained
I would give this place 5 stars - but the dinning are limited within the hotel - the one restaurant that is available within the restaurant was ok -Still great options walking distance from the hotel - the Staff is very nice and very helpful —
Great neighborhood, quiet, clean. When phone in room didn’t work, quickly moved us to better room
The room was very nice. I enjoyed my stay besides the rock hard cardboard feeling bed! It’s within walking distance to a few restaurants but not in a busy area. My only complaints are the super uncomfortable bed and the lack of ice available on property.
Overall very good lodging. My one complaint was the selection of TV channels available, very few, no real news. Jack was great help at the desk when we thought we had a credit card problem, he worked it out for us, and all staff was Excellent.
Average hotel - dated washrooms (no partition between the shower and sink/toilet area
Very good
Wonderful and welcoming staff at check in and all through our stay. Shout out to Milan, very courteous and helpful
Stay was great. Thanks!
Initial impression was very good. However, one of the two rooms booked had a leak from above, and soaked clothing in one of the closets. Upon further inspection, it was clear that the leak was an ongoing problem, yet they still allowed the room to be used without warning. When mentioned to staff, they simply expressed an apology, but offered no compensation. Had to pack wet clothing to take to next stop on our trip. At the very least, we would have expected at least a portion of the stay to be comped.
Smart good value Hotel with helpful staff
Helpful pleasant staff at check in. The lobby looks smart with plenty of comfortable seating. We were given upgrades and our rooms were very spacious and clean with large bathrooms . Fridge which is useful. Split level with 3 stairs ( handrail) to separate area ( suggestion auto lights here that are triggered by movement, my 82 year old mother had to be very careful). Residential area.Short walk to tube and Kensington High Street. Nice restaurant 100 metres away but nothing else within 5 minutes walk.
The Park City Grand Plaza Kensington
Very nice accommodations. Hotel and room were very clean. The room was very quite. Bed was very comfortable. One minor complaint, the front desk staff was somewhat aloof.
Great
Kensington comfort!
Room was spacious (for London) and comfortable. Great Kensington location on a beautiful block.
The room price is relatively ok. If your on the back side of the hotel, it's pretty quiet. The front side has noise at all hours from people talking after midnight to glass bottles being emptied out at 5:00 a.m. Also, you can hear emergency vehicles on Cromwell. Some rooms are a little newer, but we had newish one where the air conditioner did not work, but had a portable one, which worked ok (it was not extremely hot, so it kept us cool at least). It had a pipe going to the window, but there was a huge gap between the window and pipe flashing to the outside. When it was cool, the room felt kind of cold due to the big gap in the flashing. The breakfast at the restaurant was way too expensive for what you got.
Great hotel lication. Quiet easy clean
Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. The luggage storage after checkout was so important. During our stay, the elevator was temporarily out of service, which was inconvenient.
The property was very clean and quiet. Staff was very accommodating. Nice area as well
Our third time staying - great for our little family only wish is that there was a ramp or lift to get up the front steps.
Great
This place was very nice and comfortable. The staff was very professional. I will stay there again.
Great neighborhood, area. Very safe, convenient, but not in city center.
Lovely Place to Stay.
On the hottest day of the year it was wonderful to find our room had air conditioning and operating quietly. We were welcomed with kindness and friendliness. We didn’t use the restaurant as we were visiting family. Quiet room for London!
HAD A LOVELY ROOM. FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE STAFF. CLEAN HOTEL. COVENIENT LOCATION.
This is a small hotel and alittle tired wot regard to the room decor and maintenance. Check in staff were friendly and room was tidy and clean. Alittle boring with the decor too. The location was nice for access to the famous Cromwell Rd. The view from our window was a wall and a tree, so again nothing special. If you want a cheaper hotel in this part of town which you only need for a bed and bathroom, then this is it. If you want more views and amenities, this is not it.
Good
Wonderful property. Very clean, spacious and friendly staff. Great location to walk around and close to shopping area. Would recommend.
Very accommodating and friendly staff made our stay very pleasant.
Easy to walk to some tourist areas
Nice and quiet. Relaxing.
The restaurant was not as good as it used to be. This was our third stay here. Room, hotel service as good as ever.
Elegant property situated in a neighborhood of stately buildings in a garden setting.
Room quality shockingly bad for a supposed 4 star hotel. Radiator never stopped running and heating apartment making room unbearably hot and room unlivable. We checked out early and fled to another hotel.
We turned in our luggage, came back at 11:30 waiting in the lobby for our room. We had gotten our luggage out, so the lady up front knew we were waiting for our room. After an hour my husband decided to go ask the male up front and our room had been ready but she didn’t tell us. -room was stifling hot 2nd morning- breakfast was not ready when they said, caused us to have to rush to eat before our tour. No coffee, only continental… again, cook to order not available. The room lamp doesn’t work The plug in the bathroom fits nothing… including the hairdryer. TV channels are horrible and the TV cuts out. Did not give us our wake up call on the morning of our flight Bathroom lingers sewer smell Would not stay here again. I really don’t understand how this is rated 4 stars. The rooms are VERY small, barely moving room and we got the executive room. Pictures do not represent the room, but except the bed comforter.
Nice hotel
The 1st room had a leak by the bathtub and toilet. I reported it and the manager quickly moved us to another room. Very professional and accommodating. Both rooms were nice and clean. I would recommend
Very nice and clean. Great area.
The staff was not very welcoming or friendly…. I felt like we were bothering them…the area was very nice, safe and quiet
Our stay at the Park City Grand Plaza Kensington
We stayed in the Park City Grand Plaza Kensington from Jul 14th to Jul 17th. Location was great, hotel condition was good, staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, except for slow drainage problem and a continuing stench from the sink which were not fixed until we left. Other than that, we were satisfied with every other aspect of the stay. Would have given 5 stars if those problems were addressed.

The only issues were the provision of essentials like toiletries especially in an executive room. Breakfast was not great at all. Poor choices to select from, cold and did not look appetizing.
