Loved the stay. Appreciate all the free toiletries, and the restaurant downstairs was great!
Great hotel. Centrally located and safe area.
All staff was fantastic!
Their basic rooms are basic. It's cool they have a breakfast and brunch spot and a late night nice place to drink. The location has its perks, also. It was nice, but I was left wanting more.
.
Great hotel! Love that everything is close by and is walking distance. Staff were awesome and we love the adjoining restaurants in the lobby, super convenient.
Not a place to stay if you’re planning on walking to the Moda center. Other than that Great location for the Arlene Schnitzer Hall, great food choices with plenty to do near.
Thanks
Extremely nice place
The manager was great. Very helpful and just exceeded his ability to make us feel welcomed :)) would come again for him.
Nice stay.
Wasn't able to stay overnight due to being a mom and duty calling, but everything was amazing. Food and drink at the Swine was fantastic, everything was super clean, and I was very impressed with the expensive feel. The soaking tub was also incredibly luxurious. Will stay again!
It was a great stay! I stayed in the skyline suite and it was comfortable and large.
I arrived early ,they give us early cheek in, so we could go inside early! We definitely visit again thank you!
The bar was awesome.
Good location in downtown!
Our stay here at Paramount is very nice, good location, walker able and easy public transportation in town. We did not rent a car since the valet parking sounds expensive, but gladly we don’t need a car to get around. We have joined two day tours one to the waterfalls an another costal thru Viator, they pick up us and drop off at our hotel. The only thing we didn’t expect is snowing here in city, but still walkable! The hotel offer $10 for food and drink every night you stay, we missed the first $10 since we don’t know it has to be charged to our room instead we pay with our credit card and cannot reimburse! but the following days we purchase a dessert for $9 plus $1 tip charges to our room. It was tasty!
Great access to the light rail and the downtown area for walking and shopping. Nice view of the skyline.
Nice place
Great, simple.
Best hotel in Portland - Awesome Staff!!! very clean rooms, great restaurants and nice gym! I won't stay anywhere else!
Wallpaper peeling off in bathroom, but overall excellent place
Great location. Easy check in and checkout. Beautiful lobby and clean room. The bathroom needs updating. Water bottles would be helpful for the initial day.
thank you for the birthday wishes
The Paramount Hotel is our spot when we visit Portland. We wont stay anywhere else and have stayed multiple times with Paramount. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Very friendly staff.
Overall property is good.. valet parking is very pricey, 59.00 usd a day ( the most I've paid for this service)but there is a nearby parking structure which is less then 28 a day.
Great overall, valet can't drive a stick shift
The room was great, very clean and we had a nice corner room, the bed was very comfy, aside from the pillows, which were way too high (for me). The massive tub was a nice bonus. We were pretty shocked and a bit disappointed that we paid for valet, and it turned none of the valet people know how to drive a stick shift, so we had to park our car ourselves. It worked out ok, they took a little off out bill for that, but something to consider for out next stay.
Beautiful property; needs managerial attention
the restaurant was freezing during dinner, and the service wasn’t good. it closed earlier than the posted hours, so I couldn’t have breakfast on the second morning. I wasn’t told about the dining credit, I had to ask. there isn’t a rack for the bath towels, only a hook. a wet towel doesn’t dry easily on a hook.
Lovely and quaint. The dining options were delicious. Parking was a bit difficult but this is a city and we should’ve planned better for it. Front desk staff was lovely.
Thank you housekeeping! Also, night staff for being helpful! My neighbors were loud. However, that's not your fault.
Great place to stay!
I’ll never stay anywhere else in Portland - perfect for Symphony and great restaurants!! Skip the in house restaurant - brunch was a miss - there are a ton that are terrific and walkable. Great room and great staff with easy parking.
Staff was great. Facilities were excellent. We found at check-in a piece of dirty dental floss on the shower soap tray. Not a big deal but this is a downtown hotel charging a not budget price. I know good help is hard to find these days but somebody should be checking the room after it is readied for a new guest. The front desk was told, the manager and housekeeper came to look and all was well…except, after they left, I found that there was hair in the corner next to the shower. Perhaps the housekeeper needs glasses. Not what one would expect in a high end property or maybe I’m being too picky.
We always enjoy ourself in Portland. Staff was friendly and the room was nice.
When staying in Portland the Paramount is my go to hotel choice. The price, location, bar and restaurant are all great. I tried the fitness center for the first time during my most recent visit and it had what I needed to get a workout in each morning. It’s very walkable right next to a movie theater and many restaurants and shopping. I love the vibe here and the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap smell amazing!
Very please
I especially loved the gorgeous lobby and dining environment. We chose a room facing the plaza - had a lovely view. Room was spacious and updated. Walking distance to museums, concerts and other restaurants. Will definitely go back!
Okay
Good location and nice rooms at a great rate.
I didn't expect such a fantastic tub in my room, complete with tray and book stand. I almost cancelled my plans to stay in!
They did not provide cleaning service as scheduled. Food at Swine Tavern- kept getting my order wrong
Hotel is nice and clean. Lots of shopping and restaurants with in walking distance. Would stay again
it was a really nice hotel :)
Check smooth and easy, street parking easy, room clean!
Everything was perfect
Great location
This is the second time my partner and I stayed at the Paramount (traveling from Pennsylvania). The valet service is absolutely worth the extra charge, simply for the convenience of just parking in front and not worrying about finding your own place to park. The two restaurants off the lobby are great! Nice options if you don't care to leave the property or are in a rush for time to grab some food and drink! Definitely a very reasonably priced, centrally located, and friendly staffed Hotel!
This is an amazing place to stay, with a wonderful view of the city
Everyone was really nice
First time staying here, great hotel! Front desk staff were cool, and the room was excellent, very clean and quiet!
Couldnt have picked a better hotel.
I had an excellent stay. My train was several hours late, but staff called twice to check on me. I got lots of great recommendations of sites and eateries by the staff and the Swine whiskey bar. I will be back for sure!
Nice room we will stay here again. Front desk very nice and helpful!
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and had almost everything we needed. However, one major downside was that our floor was supposed to be non-smoking, as stated in the signage. Yet, for two out of the three days of our stay, there was a very strong smell of marijuana. It was so intense that it made me feel unwell, which significantly impacted our experience.
This hotel’s decor is beautiful. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. The soaking tub and fireplace were wonderful. The view was also great. Bed was comfortable, and TV was simple to use. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t strong, but other than that minor issue our stay was virtually perfect.
In the heart of town. Great stay!
The staff was extremely friendly and the room was great! I’d definitely stay here again.
It was excellent!
We only spent one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Excellent service from desk and bar staff, all-around great experience! Will definitely stay there again
You must stay here!
This is one of our favorite hotels in Portland. Very nice and always goes the extra mile for their guests. It was our anniversary and they had a special gift waiting for us in our room with a nice personalized card. It was appreciated. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food on site is amazing! Could not say enough GREAT things about this hotel!
wonderful stay very pleased we chose the Paramount
Short stay
Our stay was short. My dad had an appointment nearby (we live 4 hours away). We arrived late, and left early. I like the security (needing a room key to access our floor). The room was clean and comfortable.
Great.
We stayed there for one night. The location is very conveniently located(close to great restaurants, theatres, ect), and has a great view of downtown portland. We were given a room on the second floor. As soon as we stepped out of the elevators we walked into a cloud of weed smoke. That didn't change our entire stay. At 6:00 am I could smell it creeping into our hotel room. Neighbors started slamming their doors very eqrly(6:30am). Parking was ridiculous ($25 for overnight, no in and out privileges). The resturant seemed good but was full our entire stay. We were promised meal credits that we never received. Just a bad experience.
Amazing Hotel
This hotel was amazing!! We had a 2 room Suite that was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. My wife and I were there for a romantic get away and this hotel delivered!! I will most definitely stay here again!!
Amazing hotel! Will definitely be back!!
Everyone was very hospitable and kind .
The Paramount was conveniently located, clean, comfortable. As with most Portland locations, parking was a challenge.
Nice location. Fun area to stay in
I was so surprised with this area of town. It's very safe and clean now! The hotel is beautiful. Everything went smoothly. Recommend!
This was our first stay at the Paramount Hotel. We will be back.
Would definitely stay again!
The font desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. I opted for street parking and had no problems.
Good value for the money. Excellent location.
Beautiful hotel with 2 restaurants - rooms a bit outdated but clean and super comfortable beds!
It was our second stay and we will be back!
First Impressions Count
I just checked in but the reception was friendly and efficient, and the room is excellent as well as excellent value for the quality and amenities.
Great location and room
The room was very comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and answered all of our questions. The pre-checkin process made our arrival very efficient. I just had to give my name, show ID, and we got the keys. We had one meal in the restaurant and really enjoyed the Swine bar for cocktails. Would definitely stay again.
The places i wanted to see were at walkable distance
Great place and location. Friendly staff.
We enjoyed our stay at the Paramount. Nice clean and quiet rooms and many food/pub options to choose from in the area.
Pleasantly surprised
Great overall experience. After a few previous visits I thought I seen all the hotel had to offer. I was instructed to try the complimentary coffee in the lobby. Amazing!!
Perfect
Just right!
Great place, with fantastic service, in an excellent location. Convenient for museums, Powell's books, public transit, and food.
Great staff, wonderful bar, and great location
Nice hotel for stay at Portland's downtown
Pleasant stay
Staff was very friendly! The view was beautiful. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Will be back!
Got to the hotel check-in was great staff was super nice. Going to bed, Bed had a spider in it when i pulled back the sheets, not the end of the world. next day when i was showering noticed the shower curtain had blood on it. But i was already about to check out, so i told the front desk when i checked out about the spider an blood an he didnt seem bothered at all an just told me he'd let the cleaners know..no apologies, nothing..i dont know what i was expecting but maybe taking off my valet fee or some other fee would have been nice. This was not a cheap hotel to stay at an definitely will not be stayen hear again
Had a great stay! Loved it! Will be back for sure. Only downfall, the park with the property it's spendy. There are less expensive parking garages near by, but was told by valet they would be closed due to holiday. This was not true. But location is great, lots to see and do and eat, downtown Portland is looking up! Thank you fur the fun stay, Paramount!
Loved everything about this hotel - room, location, staff. Only issue i have is entering and exiting hotel....doors are impossible to open and the valet is often not around to help.
Was very nice and clean!
Rooms are really nice and the physical beds were clean. As a neat freak, I check eveything, and there was trash between the bed and the wall but the bed itself had clean sheets. The matress was pristine upon close inspection and looked farely new without any stains or questionable debris. Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely stay here again.
Paramount is great
We have stayed at the Paramount a few times. During the right time of the year you can get a good price and it's always worth it. The rooms are nice with good views, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It's the place we always check first when staying downtown.
Beautiful room, awesome location, great value!
Perfect central location
Perfect central location, walk anywhere from here. Good restaurant and bar, and more close by.
It’s great
Great spot in the West End
Just a one night getaway for my wife and I. We love staying in downtown, and this area is the best place to be for the most restaurant and bar options. It's easy to walk everywhere. I still can't believe that the are so many people that are afraid to be downtown or that scare others into not going. I know there were a couple of rough years, but since 2022 it just keeps getting better and better. And the more people that come out, the better it gets.
Great quality
The hotel itself was great. The whiskey/wine bar had a great ambience and yummy food. My only complaint is the noise. We could hear every person walking down the hallway, and the garbage trucks, police car sirens and the crows in the morning. Not a restful night. The room though was clean and very spacious.
Simple and central for any Portland visit. No early breakfast.

Just a really nice, clean and somewhat more upscale place to stay. Cleanliness was definitely great. Very nice staff.
