We didn't like the loud music of surrounding Area.,and musty smell.

I found bugs in my bed, under the covers. I was told the room would be cleaned properly with a replacement of sheets. When I went back to my room after spending the day outside as I couldn’t stand to be in the room I check under the made up bed to find that nothing was changed out, same sheets. I couldn’t stay there another night so I reached out to Expedia and let them know the situation. They tried to reach out to the front desk for almost a week to get a response and no one answered the phone. Expedia also didn’t want to reach out to the parent company of the palm which I believe was Kaia hotels to let them know of this extremely disappointing experience and that the palm is failing to provide a sanitary room for guests. I left the hotel after the first night and booked somewhere else. The palm refused to refund the other nights that I didn’t stay due to their lack of proper cleaning of the room and not having a different room available to move to. The pros of the place, its centrally located, it has a roof you can sit in the sun and a small rooftop pool. The rooms are large and the air on works. The cons, everything else, slow elevators, door keys that constantly stop working ( I saw many guests come down to complain about this), the smell of mildew throughout the property. All in all I’d only recommend this place to my worst enemy if I’d want to ruin their vacation.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This is why: 1. You will have no hot water. The shower has hot water two minutes then cold as ice. 2. The place is dirty. The sheets that were once white are now gray or yellowish. The floor is disgusting and they literally have me used towels! Couldn’t be filthier if they tried. 3. The service is non existent. Not even Expedia could get a hold of these people. There is a 18 year old for the whole hotel at night and a mean lady during the day. They don’t have any cleaning staff. 4. The condition of the common areas is terrible. The floor is all chipped, the swimming pool full of yellow areas. What you see in the pictures is from a decade ago and they haven’t painted or maintained the place since. It is simply falling apart. 5. The pillows in the swimming pool area are literally broken. 6. Expect zero from staff or hotel. 7. Lack of security - the place to leave your bags is a room that smells like urine and it is leave at your own risk. They won’t give you a ticket or have someone that could help. 8. Outside the hotel is all party and in the morning there are passed out drunks sleeping by the entrance. Really look for another place if you can.

The property is run down. The pool had dead flies and asked the lady to get it clean. Deluxe room says pull out sofa. Front lady said that the description on Expedia not correct. Guy at night speaks no English. Lot of issues in room lights, phone, safe. He said he would come in 10 minutes via interpreter but never showed up. Asked him why next day he laughed at me. Location is best part of hotel. It is depressing place so we mostly stayed out of the room. The lady said no beach towels in am and asked her to get some normal towers from cleaning staff but no response or effort to make it happen. We asked for more pillows and blankets they did not have any or gave us any next days. You get 2 welcome drinks but guy upstairs had stipulations on type of drinks count.

Decent stay, sheets could use replacing otherwise our room was clean! Rooms were cleaned every day! Staff was friendly

Horrible overall

The rooms smelled like sewage ( water smells) bedding smells. No blankets. Ac did not work properly. Check in took hours.

Hotel needs improvements.

We stayed for over a week. First room given was horrible and too noisy. After changing it was better. Breakfast very simple and with no variety. Last 2 days the drain in the bathroom was very stinky. Poor maintenance as the shower leaked every time we used it. For sure not coming back.

Property is very poorly maintained. Our room was filthy and below the standard of other hotels. My partner and I have stayed in plenty of hotels and this was the worst. The floors were dirty, there was mold and mildew throughout the room. The mirrors were unwashed, the curtains and bed sheet was stained, the toilet did not flush properly, and the sink sprayed water. Additionally the bed did not have a blanket, just a sheet and the shower shelf was broken (just hanging off the wall)

Very comfortable w huge living room. Close to everything

The employees in the hotel were very nice. We got to enjoy 7 days in this property. The only thing I do not like was they did not have enough alcohol at the bar in the rooftop.

I love the hotel

We liked the Rooftop, pool and bar, the toilet paper holder was loose, water spilled to the bed area, the exterior floor is slippery, personnel is not very helpful. They have only 1 ironing machine for all guests. Good Plus - Fifth Avenue is very close.

Great VALUE!!!

Overall great value for the dollar, a comfortable bed and lots of storage space in the room. The breakfast was VERY good.

Great atay

It was a lovely room and met my needs for two nights. Next time I’ll be asking for the loft as it would have been nice to have a beer fridge to keep things cool.

Bad service and scam

Rooms are very spacious and clean. However the hotel is very noisy at night due to all the surrounding bars.

Overall everything is very good except for the breakfast is not worth it very simple and take way too long to serve..

I’ve stayed at this property too many times to recall over the past 6 years.Because of the rooftop pool scene it was known throughout PDC as one of the best spots in town,unfortunately not anymore.New Hotel Management and The Pool was a cemetery.The Palm as of now is no longer selling Day Passes,So the pool sadly is no longer the place to be.

I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. Pictures and descriptions are very misleading. Pool and restaurant was a joke. View of ocean was misleading very crappie view just a sliver of ocean could be seen after you had the views of the top of all the other hotels and all their mechanical units. I only stayed 1 night instead of 3 they said they were going to reimburse me for the other 2, after i checked out they changed their mind and didn't reimburse me anything

Love just the location, property in poor condition

Cant tell if we were terribly unlucky or if this property is just how we experienced it. We checked in late and when to the hotel and the toilet was already clogged and nearly overflowing and one towel was on the floor. We called the front desk to see if we could get the toilet unclogged and an extra towel but the reception desk apologized that they did not leave the maintenance key behind for him to get a plunger but we were free to use the public stalls downstairs any time and they don’t have anymore clean towels for the day. We were a little put off but hey, that’s not his fault and he was apologetic so we used the public restroom, shared the towel to shower and went to bed. The next morning we left early for an excursion and asked the front desk to have someone come and plunge and leave towels for when we return. We returned late at night. Toilet still clogged and no new towels. We went to ask about it and the girl at the reception this time was not as polite. Maybe she was overwhelmed with stuff going on as she was running around and it took her a few minutes to get to us. We asked her about the plunger and the towels and she said her colleagues were not there and could not plunge the toilet. My boyfriend asked for a plunger for him to do it and she said she did not have one and no clean towels for the 2nd night. She said someone can come the next morning, we checked out at 11 and we never got to use our own toilet.

The hotel is old, dose not look anything like the picture. We had to change room because the order was coming out from the shower to the room. We couldn’t get extra towels or pillows they told us we all could get one towel per day. The towels are old. We had a light flight did ask if we could stay for 3 to 4 hours more which would but every time new person was telling us a different price how much we have to pay I guess everyone is trying to make some money. The only good thing about this hotel was the location everything else I would never stay or recommend this hotel to anybody.

This was our third time to playa this year. Me and my fiancé decided to try a new place and we definitely regretted. It could’ve been worst but honestly I would not stay again. We purchased breakfast and it was terrible, silverware was always dirty and honestly it was just a horrible set up. They’re better off just not offering it if they’re not going to put effort in the food and presentation. Pool hammock was cut off and the pool was just not very clean. They have these ghetto concrete plates around the pool and honestly that’s a liability. The noise was horrible. Water pressure didn’t exist, and water was so salty in the shower. Just a big disconnect with the pictures on the site and staff was not very friendly.

Ramses at the front desk was extra friendly, and very accommodating. Most of the staff was also nice. One security guard at the door was obnoxious and very unfriendly and unaccommodating.

The property wasn't as nice as in the pictures. My room smelled of mold really bad. There wasn't a single blanket in the suites. The air conditioner was leaking water all over. Couches in living area were pretty dirty and I didn't really want to use them. This place is also NOT "Adults Only" There were 3 brats running all over the pool my first day there and staff didn't do anything about them. By brats, i mean they were throwing stuff at each other constantly and even throwing rocks off the roof to the busy pedestrian street below. Hotel staff was a hassel at check-in and added bogus fees to my bill. No towels for pool provided either. Bar service at the pool was nearly non-existent. This was all pretty disappointing considering i had the larger suite. This place has gone downhill quite a bit over last few years. Time to find somewhere new to stay-there are tons of better options than being treated like this.

Rooftop was amazing

My only complaint would be that the sofa was very stained. Other than that, it was great location and I love how the AC remained on even when you’re not there so when you come in, it’s super cold which I love because we went during summer ridiculously hot.

It's a convenient location since is close to 5th Avenue. The staff was always nice. Parking is very small. The hotel needs more maintenance. Our room curtains were in bad shape. And if you light sleep, you may have more trouble to sleep since can hear the noise from the 5th Avenue.

The rooms we had was very large with a large living area and basic kitchen amenities. The bedroom was also large with a huge bathroom and plenty of storage space. The only shortfall was the rooftop pool and bar. The pool seemed neglected and was green on 2 days we were there. There were only 4 lounge chairs, 2 of which were not usable due to ripped bed and when we asked for an umbrella they finally found 1 that wasn't broken on the 3'rd try. We are hoping that the fact they were updating the bar roof that they realize things need to be addressed. We used to visit this rooftop pool when they had day passes several years ago and it was beautiful. I hope they bring it back to its glory days. We would return in the future as the staff was very nice and accomodating, the rooms were comfortable and the price point was very good. Great location!

Property was nice. They ran out of towels during our stay which was off putting, but all in all it was a good stay and it was in a good location close to the fun!

One night no more.

The room was extremely dusty. And a number of the lights were burned out and had not been replaced. The fridge in the room didn't work at all. The loud music in the neighborhood is to be expected.Don't joke yourself. The friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the bed were by far the positives. The hotel is very secure and safe with the guard at the front entrance.

I forget my I phone charger and I asked them if they found it and they denied, I thought the staff is nice and trusted

I had a standard king room. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. It was clean. The only thing I would change is to add a chair because there was nothing to sit on besides the bed.

It’s a nice location if you want to be close to 5th ave. Rooftop pool is nice. Electrical problem with the air conditioner in our room. Fully understandable however all attempts to have someone look at it were ignored. I just stopped, staff wanted nothing to do with it Also, elevator was down, again understandable but there seemed to be no attempt to service it.

I did like the location

Perfect location. Close to beach and the strip also very closer to local market for breakfast. Overall a very nice stay.

Prime location but service needs LOTS of improvement. We reserved a suite which did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. Room had no toilet paper. We had to WALK over to front desk THREE TIMES to make request in person. This hotel has lots of potential to become a 4 star hotel but front desk staff need to be replaced with someone much more hospitable and courteous! And overall service needs lots of improvement!

Pretty well located; however, the only problem was the noise... it's not too bad after a while as you get used to it. But that's compensated by the friendliness of the staff :-)

The location is ideal for visiting Playa. Very close to everything on 5th ave. You can hang out and stop by the room at any moment which was convenient. The elevator was broken during my stay in July so that was very upsetting cause it was soooo hot and also they don't have ice or even provide ice to their guests. They charge you each tine you want a small cup of ice and you have to walk to the rooftopfor it. The room and property itself is beautiful though. Plenty of places for good pictures

Great experince and great atmosphere

We loved the location for convenient access to 5th Avenue shopping and the beach. Check in and check out was easy and we had a peaceful stay. Our room was extremely well air conditioned and housekeeping did a great job - they even washed our dishes which was unexpected. We appreciated the security guard always there and felt very safe as a family with 2 adults and 2 children. We really enjoyed all the foliage throughout. Cons: Water for showers only gets warm, not hot, and you run out of warm water quickly. The rooftop pool is beautiful but filled with dead bugs - I even asked the guy working if they could give me a net so I could scoop the bugs out and they said they'd have to check and instead of doing anything they sat down and looked at their phone for the entire 2 hours my family was up there - nobody ever followed up. I wouldn't mention it if it was just a few bugs but it was a significant amount for our entire week's stay - despite this fact we still enjoyed a lot of time up at the pool.

It was at a great location however, the AC did not work properly which made the room feel very muggy and warm. Also, was not a fan of the sink. Every time I opened the faucet, water splashed everywhere. The staff was there but were very indifferent whenever we came by the lobby. The couch was very dirty and stained. The overall room was spacious and had a full fridge, microwave, sink, and electric stove top. It also included cooking pans, mugs, and plates.

Property is run down. Needs some up keep. Did not receive any VIP service. The pictures on line don’t match the property. The bed had on my bed sheet with no cover. No iron board or iron in the room. Have to ask reception for the Iran. You have to leave your id in order to borrow one. Not a good experience. On the they had a terrible DJ on the roof top pool. The pictures online don’t match with the roof top.

Super nice upgraded room. Elevators worked great. Pool was relaxing with decent bar/food service on roof. Not enough small towels in our room, run down and new construction buildings around the hotel,

On the first night about an hour after checking in I arrived back to my room to find a couple coming out of my room. Apparently staff double booked the room. I received an upgraded room with floors that were filthy the length of my stay. This hotel has been poorly neglected and it’s horribly staffed. Please avoid.
